There’s a version of this I’ve talked about many times. It has always been met with something along the lines of “if you don’t stand up, and I don’t stand up, and they don’t stand up, nothing will ever change and you simply can’t think that way…” and that got to me a lot. Because they were right, I was giving up hope for change, I have given up hope for change. And I feel bad about it.

There was a lot of stuff that didn’t have anything to do with me, for sure. But a persistent topic/thought/problem in my world has been climate change. It definitely does effect me, yet I am entirely hopeless and actively trying to detach myself from the problem.

I don’t want to waste my life fighting for the environment, inconveniencing myself in ways that so many others, just don’t, and without truly knowing if it’s even fucking helping, given corporate pollution.

I didn’t, and am not consciously obliterating our earth. But with that, I’m giving up on the issue that effects me and my family, the most probably.

As I age,I shed every drop of idealism

If once I believed that change is possible,the person I am today scoffs at the idea of fighting for it. Politics start to become background noise when you’ve observed the true nature of humankind. Cynicism replaces hope,and you are left with something more raw, more usefull: pragmatism.

My clarity doesn’t make me responsible for the fates of humans whom, in other circumstances, would pay to watch me die. We, especially women, are made to feel like our duty is to protect the weak and fight for justice. But victimhood doesn’t make anyone morally superior, once I’ve realised this simple truth, I’ve stoped caring for any cause that doesn’t personally affect me. The only thing that separates the slave from the emperor, the oppressed from the oppressor, is power. That’s the true nature of humans. And I am not here to cast moral judgement on it, but to highlight the truth for people who are too scared to see it.

They will guilt you into wasting your time fighting someone else’s battles. You are wasting your privilege on people who do not know you. You are wasting your life, your luck on meaningless altruism because you’ve been manipulated into it. Activism is just a distraction. Women. Live your lives. For you might be the first of your bloodline to be able to do so. You will waste yourselves away shouting into an abyss, trying to cut through a history that doesn’t bend to your will. and trying to influence a deterministic universe.

You are not a monster for using your cards for no one but yourself and the people who you actually care about.

I am here to advocate for women to be more selfish. You are not a hero, and you shouldn’t want to be one. Choose yourself. Win. Climb the hierarchies because you cannot destroy them.

Mark Carney and Donald Trump meet. Trump talks, a lot.

At one point, he talks about “Mark’s” (not Prime Minister Carney’s, or even Mr. Carney’s?) predecessor… “she did this…” “she did that..” “she failed at [what the fuck whatever]…”

“She” being the biggest insult he could possibly muster, as Justin Trudeau, the predecessor, was a self-identifying male.

It’s only the leader of the ‘fReE wOrLd.” Only, everyone, is watching.

The way women are talked about in the media is pitiful.

The Don Dud has never been able to please a woman, emotionally or sexually, and that’s lead to a deep, deep teenage-high school-shooter-type attitude… So very American, at its core.

The world is, indeed, a vampire.

Omg a real live MAGA has replied to me- is he saying that I think Trump isn’t good at controlling his bowels because 2 gay men raised me (didn’t, unfortunately) and groomed me, probably sexually, from a young age, in a pedophilic manner (also not true, but in a fun twist of events DID indeed happen to me via one straight white man) ??? we’re really not sure here folks, but he does seem pleased with his insults, that much is clear.

Can you imagine how bad his balls must smell? Soaking in the warm, thick sludge that has been pooling in his Depends all day long. He desperately needs to change them, but there’s so much going on and he keeps forgetting to ask where the rest of them are kept. He doesn’t know, and Bianca-who is usually in charge of wiping the president’s hairy butthole and peeling back the folds of his penis with her tiny fingers in a small pincer grip, to ensure that the poop is indeed, cleaned from between his flabby penis skin folds- has called in sick today.

All of his constituents suffer.

He, however, has lost his sense of smell and is simply enjoying the sensation of warm gooey substance around his genitals.

It’s been a nice 100 days.

One of my most important jobs in the summer is rescuing these beauties from the spider webs that cover our house and garage. It’s tedious and time consuming to safely remove the webbing from their delicate wings, but there are honestly few things more satisfying then seeing them take flight again, right from your hand.
