Hades peered around the rock to look at the girl now aware of his presence. He was close, and he was sure that she could probably feel the faint heat from the flames atop his head. "Fair lady", Hades took the sword between two fingers gently lowering it to her side, "What could you be up to, here, so late at night?" Hades did not fear human weapons, but they did hurt when he was attacked with them. He wanted to avoid that if at all possible.

Eilonwy looked through the trees when she heard someone getting closer to her. It had been a long time since she had traveled alone, so naturally she drew her sword, “Whose there?” she called, trying to sound less nervous.

psa. i am an agonizingly slow roleplayer — my muses are fickle and some days all i can manage is chat threads or shenanigans. other days i can pump out longer threads like no one’s business. if it takes me awhile on your thread it has nothing to do with you as a writer or me losing my muse for the thread. never hesitate to ask for my skype for in between threads for chatting and plotting and fun.

A grin came over Hades face, in a moment he had cleared it and a somber expression took over his face. Hades was happy that someone had approached him, though he liked to have someone who had a little more obvious talent. Still, he could work with anyone really, and this young looking blonde was no exception.

Actually, she was quite the cute little thing, she almost had the look of Aphrodite about her. Though he knew that if Aphrodite heard him say that both he AND the girl might end up in hot water, literally.

"Ah" His voice was surprised though he had known for some time she was there, "Little lady, looking good, actually I could use some help. Just a little bit lost here..."

He wasn't lost of course, but it made him seem a bit more down to earth. Easier to trust...

Hades wandered through the dark streets of a mortal town. He was on the offensive, seeking any lost souls that might be wandering the night. On a rainy oppressive evening like this there was only one type of person who would be out, those that were trying to escape something.

Hades stopped and surveyed the area, listening for any sound of footsteps…

"Come onnn…" he said impatiently to himself looking to his wrist for a non-existent watch.

Hades puckered his face in amusement, Meg's little quirks always amused him and especially so when he was in a good mood. She was always so on edge ever since that little Hercules incident.

"Always so dismissive, and here I am always letting you into my soul, or lack thereof" he muttered the last part under his breath and then continued in a hurt sounding tone"...making myself vulnerable..."

It was true he often let Meg in on his plans, but only when she would either have no interest in them or would have no control over them either way. Not exactly making himself vulnerable, but she didn't have to be privy to that information.

"You know there actually IS something interesting, I made some all new friends on my most recent trek into the deepest levels of the underworld..." Hades leaned back against thin air but didn't topple, "You'd like them, tall dark and menacing....and they really like the idea of being freed..."

Hades trailed off waiting for Meg to react.

"Heh. Meg, my little peach fuzz...what a pleasant surprise..." Hades hadn't really been looking to run into Megara, he had been busy lately. Pounding the pavement searching for new ways to make mortals and gods alike squirm in discomfort. Still, her wincing face brought nostalgia into his cold heart and he couldn't help stopping to shoot the breeze for a while, "Yea, you know, they aren't much but they're all I got."

Hades slipped behind her, wispy blue smoke trailing behind him and enveloping her within it, "How have you been? You're boy keeping you happy I trust?"
