April 25th - Cisco Ducharme's first birthday / anniversary of creation !

The not-so-distant past and present.

A piece of writing i did back in December, mainly focused on Lani ... i found it neat !! (Image related, writing below cut)

Lani arrives to school first, as per usual. They sit down on a bench by their first class, as per usual. They pull out their notes to review, as per usual. The sun doesn’t shine through the windows as brightly these days. It’s getting close to winter.

They take a hard, long look at the material. Skimming through once, twice, three times, every time somehow less comprehensible than the last. This is important, they tell themself. There’s a test later this week, no use worrying about anything else. They repeat it over and over in their head, so much that even it begins to distract them. They put away their notes. It’ll be easier later.

As they do so, they notice the buzz of conversation starting from classmates as they begin to arrive. The sound of footsteps as they all made their way towards other break areas before class. One step of footsteps stands out. They’re brash and passionate and end their trek right beside the bench. Lani’s heart pounds as they look towards the face of the figure.

A small, round face stares daggers into their eyes. He inhales deeply and clenches his fist.

Lani takes initiative. “Do you want to copy my notes? I know you were busy last night.” They chuckle anxiously in their second sentence.

“I’m not really worried about ‘em right now.” He takes a few steps and sits down next to Lani. “Wish I’d been able to take a nap yesterday, at least. Would probably feel better if I did.”

“Well, you have time this evening, right?”

“No, I’m not gonna be tired.” He lets out a frustrated sigh. Lani’s gaze shifts away from him, eyes focused on nothing in particular. A few moments pass before they rummage through their bag, pulling something small out.

“I forgot I had these!”

“...Had what?”

Lani places them on the bench, in the space between where the two were seated. There were two chocolate chip cookies wrapped up to the point where they were air-tight, with a tiny tie keeping it sealed. “My mom made these last week, but they completely slipped my mind. Do you want to have them?”

He turns his head away. “Not hungry. If you’re fine being late, you can give them to her though.” Lani takes back the cookies and places them in their lap.

“Sorry.”

There is no response.

He stands up and paces towards his own class. Before he gets too far, he glances over his shoulder towards Lani, and then continues faster than before. The air feels just a bit colder.

Cisco Ducharme - Intro !!

This guy discovered the concept of livestreaming a bit ago, and has never looked back! His "stage" personality's helped to make him a different person- for better, or for worse.

he/him - straight

The youngest of the trio, Cisco's become a pretty decently large personality online, streaming games almost every night. He found it all at a time when he had nothing else to do, and now spends all of his time thinking about what he's doing next. Due to this, he doesn't exactly do well in school, but he's at least able to make it to class and hang out with Baya and Lani during breaks! They help to make sure he isn't *entirely* alone at school ...

Lani Merriweather - Intro !!

That one popular kid who's top of their class, well liked by all the teachers, staff, and fellow students you can imagine. Surely there's nothing else besides that ... right

Lani has always gotten through school almost effortlessly, and has become good acquaintances with most people they meet. However, almost none ever go beyond surface-level. The only ones that do are with Baya and Cisco, and even then he never lets himself properly talk to them. They don't need to know that things weighing him down. Surely, they'd think less of her if they were to know. But well, been doing fine up to this point, what's a little more? Images (check alt text for little tidbits about each !!) :

Baya Clavero - Intro !!

Low energy, aspirationless girl ... who also happens to enjoy strawberries a completely reasonable amount !!

she/her - lesbian

Even since she was little, Baya never really knew what she wanted to do with her life. To the question of "what do you want to be when you grow up?", she was never able to give a solid answer. She's always had kind parents and wonderful friends but ... still couldn't find anything. Well, she likes to write, but wouldn't want to do it for a living. The best she can do is hang out with Lani and Cisco, her only real friends, and ... try to figure something else that way.

Hello hello !!! This is mainly where I'll be posting about my OCs: Baya, Lani and Cisco !!!! All of em are currently part of visual novel I'm working on, titled Your Craven Call. Here, I'll mainly be posting drawings + little bits of lore I make over time until EVENTUALLY i make a full story ......
