I would like to infodump about the National Spamton portion from the spamton sweepstakes and why it hits so comedically hard

Regarding the fuckass song, the first two notes are akin to those of the star spangled banner, a song that the audience expects to hear at the mention of a national anthem. The lyrics ‘Ha-ppy’ and ‘ohh-oh’ are the exact same rhythm (play them back and forth in your head you’ll see what I mean)

So when spamton a spamton declares, “AND NOW, THE NATIONAL SPAMTON!”, you wait for its majestic start. Once your brain hears the first two notes, it subconsciously assumes the song is star spangled banner, but then you face an absolute CURVEBALL once the percussion kicks its happy birthday out of all fucking songs

The formal marching band percussion and horns juxtaposed with this goofyass melody works so well in this scene resulting in the ultimate whiplash. It’s like with each passing second you process how absurd the anthem is

And the visuals. The visuals. The cherry on top. The flag being a png that statically rises up the flagpole just to not even make it to the top. Chefs kiss

I know ccccvol2 is what everyone is hoping for one day but personally I think a remake/remaster of cccc would be just as nice or even better. The “storyline” of cccc is perfect as it is and cj has improved so much since it came out oughghghghhhhhh the possibilitiessssss
