North Node Synastry Aspects @astrologicallyserene

I've had this post in my drafts for ages and never got around to finishing it so here I am. North Node conjunctions are among the most significant make-or-break aspects in synastry.

We are destined to meet the people in our lives. However, with North Node/South Node conjunction relationships, these are the people we have ultra-specific lessons with. I'm focusing on North Node synastry in this post because that's what I have had the most experience with. These people are soul lessons.

South Node connections have been few and far between for me and I think there's a reason for that related to transcending past karma.

Points to consider:

Moon Conjunct North Node

I've had this aspect with my closest friends. There's this sense of familiarity, safety, and similar temperaments. This can manifest through a shared sense of humor, interests, family dynamics, etc. The North Node person feels like the Moon person is wiser, more evolved, or just aspirational in one way or another. There can be this feeling of inadequacy on the Moon person's part when they weigh themselves up alongside the North Node individual. Like all North Node aspects, these people can fall in and out of our lives, but this happens in a less definitive ending kind of way (no clear breakup or severing of the relationship) here. It's usually that they just grow apart with no hard feelings, but when they reunite, it's like no time has passed.

Mercury Conjunct North Node

This aspect doesn't really manifest as closeness in my experience in the way that the other aspects do. Mercury, on the other hand, just wants to talk to North Node and soak up their brains.

Venus Conjunct North Node

Oh golly gee. Where do we start? I agree with the overwhelming sentiment in astrology circles that these people do not stay in our lives for long, but the lessons they bring do. North Node learns how they need to be loved through the connection. Venus shows them what this can look like and (sometimes through mistreatment) what it doesn't look like.
