2/100 100 days of Productivity.

Yesterday and today were mediocre in terms of actually getting things checked off my planned list. I still need to do my vocabulary studies for today and fold some laundry…

Next week is all planned/laid out… I guess I will try the 100 days of productivity starting tomorrow (since most of today is gone).

We shall see how well I can structure this is without it all dissolving into a pile of… disillusionment lol 😆… the best intentions… 😅

Currently 咖啡 ☕️ is one of my favorite words… probably because I have a raging coffee addiction… but also… I kind of really like how the strokes are laid out, that word makes my brain happy to look at.

This is Loki, (第四小猫）one of the study buddies… adorable, yes… motivated… not so much.

I also found a new favorite idiom today (which, to be fair, I haven’t delved too deeply into idioms yet) but:

爱屋及乌 / ai wu- ji wu

(Lit.) Love the house and it’s crows

Or rather love for a person extends even to the crows that perch upon the roof of his/her house.

e.g. - to love absolutely everything there is about a person

I think that is a really beautiful sentiment 🥰

UGH.

So. I got very little uninterrupted sleep last night.

In English we have the saying, “Well, look what the cat dragged in...” Which of course is a way to describe someone or something that looks like it’s at least half dead and chewed up. I feel like I resemble that idiom in my bones today.

Those of you that have been studying Chinese longer (or speak it natively) what idiom best describes this feeling in Chinese?

I’m now going to go try to drown myself in some late afternoon coffee so I can scrape out a few more hours of productivity. ... maybe.

This week… āiyā. So many meetings… and migraines.. ugh.

Things that did get done:

• quotes/orders/miscellaneous follow up

• servers that needed to be physically and logically reconfigured got done

• documentation review happened and some editing of that documentation commenced

• some 中文 vocabulary happened (not as much as originally planned but forward progress none the less)

Still outstanding this week:

• regular yoga practice and household chores

Today:

• I did some artwork for my 弟媳 just because (she’s a huge fan of 兔子🐰）

• Currently, I’m working on a goal setting worksheet that I snagged from the passion planner website since I haven’t done a quarterly goal review yet and I’m feeling like trash today anyway (read as: probably not going to get much physically done… might as well try some brainwork)

2/100 100 days of Productivity.

Yesterday and today were mediocre in terms of actually getting things checked off my planned list. I still need to do my vocabulary studies for today and fold some laundry…

Do The Task™ ADHD edition:

1. write down the tasks you have to do

2. separate each task into smaller tasks (ex. Clean room- pick up clothes, fold clothes, put clothes away. Pick up shoes, put shoes away. Get trash bin, put trash in trash bin, put trash bin back.”

3. lie to yourself with the “might as well method” tell yourself you only have to do the very first task like “pick up clothes”, now you’re already in a position to fold (or just put away) the clothes, so “might as well do *insert next step to task here*”

4. Continue using the “might as well method” until all tasks are complete

5. Give yourself a reward (candy, watch a show, play a game)

6. Drink water you dehydrated neurodivergent :)

7. seriously, drink water, you’re gonna die

p.s.

i also use small timers on my phone to help with the process going faster, like a game. Ex: “how many shirts can i fold before this timer ends?” or “if i don’t put all my shoes away before this timer ends, i’m gonna die”

this also works with songs :)
