why you're not glowing up (it's not what you think) ⋆.ೃ࿔*:・ 🎀
you're doing all the "right" things. skincare routine, gym membership, new wardrobe, pinterest-worthy morning routine. you bought the supplements, followed the influencers, saved every "that girl" post.
so why do you still feel exactly the same?
Tumblr media
because you're trying to glow up from the outside in. completely backwards.
the girls who actually transform — the ones who look different six months later, who carry themselves like they know something you don't — they didn't start with the aesthetic. they started with the invisible stuff first.
you're still operating from your old identity
here's the thing nobody tells you: you can't dress like her, work out like her, eat like her, and still think like the old you. your brain will sabotage every external change until your internal world catches up.
you'll buy the expensive skincare and still pick at your face. you'll meal prep on sunday and binge by wednesday. you'll set the 6am alarm and hit snooze until 9.
why? because deep down, you still believe you're the girl who doesn't follow through. you still see yourself as the one who starts strong and gives up. you're trying to change your actions while keeping your old story about yourself.
the real work is rewriting that story. deciding you're someone who keeps promises to herself. someone who deserves the life she's building. someone who doesn't quit when it gets boring.
you're avoiding the real work
face masks are easier than facing your patterns. new clothes are easier than new boundaries. gym selfies are easier than sitting with why you actually hate yourself.
the real glow up work is boring:
going to therapy and actually doing the homework
journaling without making it aesthetic
saying no to people who drain you (even when they guilt trip you)
setting standards and sticking to them when someone tests them
sitting with discomfort instead of shopping it away
looking at why you seek validation from people who don't even like themselves
you want the transformation without the mess. but healing is messy. growth is uncomfortable. real change means grieving who you used to be.
you're performing transformation, not living it
posting about your 5am routine doesn't make you a morning person. talking about self-love doesn't mean you practice it. buying the books doesn't mean you read them.
you're performing the aesthetic of change without doing the actual work.
real transformation is invisible at first:
choosing yourself even when no one's watching
doing the work when it's not exciting anymore
building habits so quietly no one notices until the results are undeniable
healing your relationship with yourself before you try to fix anything else
stop documenting your journey and start living it.
you're waiting for motivation to maintain you
motivation got you started. that burst of "new year, new me" energy that had you buying workout clothes and downloading meditation apps.
but motivation is a liar. it shows up when you don't need it and disappears when you do.
discipline keeps you going. discipline is showing up on tuesday at 6am when the excitement has worn off. discipline is choosing the salad when you want the fries. discipline is doing your skincare routine when you're exhausted.
the girls who actually transform? they show up on the days they don't want to. every single time. they built systems that work even when they don't feel like it.
you're trying to skip the basics
you want the advanced routine before you've mastered drinking enough water. you want the perfect morning routine before you can wake up on time. you want self-love before you've learned basic self-respect.
glow ups aren't built on complicated routines and expensive products. they're built on basics done consistently:
sleeping 7-8 hours
drinking water
moving your body
eating food that nourishes you
protecting your peace
keeping promises to yourself
master the boring stuff first. the magic happens in the mundane.
you think time will fix what discipline won't
"i'll start monday." "after the holidays." "when life calms down."
life is never going to calm down. there will always be stress, chaos, reasons to wait. the girls who glow up don't wait for perfect conditions — they create them.
stop waiting for the right time. there is no right time. there's only right now.
the real glow up formula
change your identity first. decide who you want to be, then start acting like her today.
do the boring work. therapy, boundaries, healing, discipline. the stuff that doesn't photograph well.
build systems, not motivation. create routines that work even when you don't feel like it.
master the basics. sleep, water, movement, nourishment, peace.
stay consistent longer than you stayed inconsistent. this is where most people quit.
Tumblr media
stop trying to look transformed. start being transformed.
stop performing your glow up for the internet. start living it for yourself.
stop waiting for motivation to save you. start building discipline to sustain you.
your glow up isn't about becoming someone new — it's about becoming who you've always been underneath all the fear, doubt, and other people's opinions.
she was always there. you just forgot how to be her.

✧・゜ how to radiate confidence in social situations (even when you're screaming inside) ゜✧:・゜✧
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
hey lovelies! ✧
let's be honest - we've all been there. standing in a room full of people, smile plastered on, while our internal monologue is having a complete meltdown. that was literally me last weekend at this networking event where i knew absolutely no one and spent the first 15 minutes hiding in the bathroom (classic me behavior).
but over time i've collected some little tricks that help me appear confident even when my insides are doing gymnastics. thought i'd share in case any of you are fellow social anxiety girlies too!
⋆.ೃ࿔:・ the body language hack ・:࿔ೃ.⋆
our bodies can actually trick our minds into feeling confident. before entering any intimidating social situation, i find a private spot (usually the bathroom, let's be real) and stand in a "power pose" for two minutes. arms on hips, shoulders back, chin up. it feels silly but it genuinely changes my nervous system.
another tiny thing: keep your hands visible, not crossed or hidden in pockets. something about this signals confidence to others and eventually to yourself.
⋆.ೃ࿔:・ prepare your conversation toolkit ・:࿔ೃ.⋆
nothing makes me panic more than awkward silence, so i always have a mental list of conversation starters ready. not just "what do you do?" but questions that actually lead somewhere interesting:
"what's been keeping you busy outside of work lately?"
"have you read/watched anything good recently?"
"what's something you're looking forward to this year?"
the secret is asking questions that you genuinely want to hear answers to. people can sense authentic curiosity, and it takes pressure off you to be "interesting" when you're focused on being interested.
⋆.ೃ࿔:・ the "i belong here" mindset shift ・:࿔ೃ.⋆
this one changed everything for me. i used to walk into rooms thinking "i hope they like me" which immediately put me in a position of seeking approval. now i try to shift to "i wonder if i'll like them."
it's such a subtle change but it puts you in the position of the observer rather than the observed. suddenly you're not auditioning for acceptance - you're just seeing if this person/group is your vibe.
⋆.ೃ࿔:・ embrace the awkward ・:࿔ೃ.⋆
the biggest confidence killer is trying to be perfect. there's actually something magnetic about someone who can laugh at themselves when they trip over a word or spill their drink.
i've started just naming the awkwardness when it happens: "well that came out completely wrong, let me try again!" people actually connect more with your humanity than your perfection.
⋆.ೃ࿔:・ the 5-second reset ・:࿔ೃ.⋆
when i feel myself spiraling into overthinking, i use this tiny reset: i take a deep breath, count to 5, and remind myself that most people are too worried about themselves to be analyzing me.
seriously, the same insecurity that makes you worry about what others think is the exact thing that prevents others from thinking about you as much as you fear!
⋆.ೃ࿔:・ aftercare is essential ・:࿔ೃ.⋆
confidence isn't just about how you act in the moment - it's also about how you treat yourself after. i used to dissect every interaction, cringing at everything i said.
now i have a rule: no social autopsies. instead, i celebrate that i showed up at all. sometimes i'll even buy myself a little treat on the way home as a "well done for being brave" gift.
remember, true confidence isn't the absence of fear - it's just the decision that something else is more important than that fear. and with practice, those screaming-inside moments get quieter and less frequent.
what about you? any confidence hacks that help you in social situations?

✧・becoming the girl they can't touch but can't forget・゜✧
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
post 1 post 2
hey lovelies! welcome to the third part of the siren syllabus series!!
i've been really into presence lately. not just being physically present somewhere, but that quiet magnetic energy some people carry that makes them impossible to ignore. you know those girls who walk into a room and somehow shift the air without even trying? the ones who leave conversations and somehow linger in people's minds for days after?
i used to think those girls were just born with something special. some magical fairy dust that made them unforgettable while the rest of us blended into backgrounds. but lately i'm realizing it's not magic at all, it's actually a subtle alchemy of self-possession that any of us can create.
⋆.ೃ࿔:・ the moment i knew i needed to change ・:࿔ೃ.⋆
last week i was at this coffee shop working on an essay when this girl walked in. nothing flashy about her, simple white tee, jeans, messy bun. but she moved with this quiet certainty that made me stop typing mid-sentence. she wasn't performing for anyone. she wasn't checking to see who was looking. she just existed fully in her skin, ordered her drink without that apologetic tone so many of us use, then sat down and pulled out a book.
i couldn't stop watching her (not in a creepy way i promise). she wasn't conventionally perfect or trying to be the main character, she just fully inhabited herself. and it was magnetic. the way she tucked her hair behind her ear without checking her reflection, how she laughed at something in her book without glancing around to see if anyone noticed. there was something almost otherworldly about someone so completely at ease with themselves.
i want that. not to be watched or admired necessarily, but to exist with that level of self-containment. to be so at home in myself that i don't leak energy seeking validation or apologizing for my existence. to become the kind of presence that lingers in a room long after i've left it.
⋆.ೃ࿔:・ the quiet practices of magnetic girls ・:࿔ೃ.⋆
i've spent months studying these effortlessly magnetic people and experimenting with little shifts that are slowly changing how i move through the world. here's what i've discovered works:
stop explaining your choices
when i say no to plans, i don't follow with a paragraph justifying why. when someone questions a decision, i don't scramble to make them comfortable with it. my choices don't need defense attorneys. this was honestly terrifying at first (recovering people pleaser here) but the discomfort passes quickly, and what remains is this unexpected feeling of sovereignty.
try this: next time someone asks why you made a choice, simply respond with "it felt right to me" and then let the silence be. notice how uncomfortable it might feel at first, but how powerful it becomes with practice.
take yourself on intentional solo dates
not the performative instagram kind where you stage photos of books and coffee to prove you enjoy your own company. actual dates where i treat myself with the attention and curiosity i'd give someone i was falling for. museums where i linger at whatever painting pulls me in without worrying if i'm boring anyone. restaurants where i order exactly what i want without considering if someone wants to share. movies in empty afternoon theaters where i can fully disappear into stories.
the girl who enjoys her own company without needing to broadcast it has a certain gravity to her. she's not alone because she's unwanted, she's alone because she's complete.
speak with quiet conviction
i used to have this habit of downplaying my thoughts, peppering everything with "maybe" and "i think" and "i could be wrong but." now i say what i mean directly. not unkindly, but clearly. it's amazing how people respond to this, how they actually listen more when you speak with quiet conviction.
practice removing qualifiers from your speech for one day. instead of "i think maybe we should try this approach?" try "this approach would work well here." feel the difference in your body as you speak.
⋆.ೃ࿔:・selective mystery ・:࿔ೃ.⋆
there's something soooooo irresistible about a girl who doesn't reveal everything at once. not in a calculated, playing-games way, but in the natural unfolding of someone who understands that intimacy is earned, not given freely to everyone who asks.
create intentional boundaries around your energy
i've started being much more selective about where my emotional energy goes. not everyone deserves access to your deepest thoughts, your vulnerabilities, your dreams. share these precious parts of yourself only with those who have shown they can hold them with care.
this isn't about being cold or distant, it's understanding your own worth. the girl they can't forget knows that her inner world is a garden with a gate, not a public park.
presence over performance
in a world obsessed with performing for invisible audiences online, there's something revolutionary about being fully present in your actual life. i've been practicing putting my phone away when i'm with friends, making eye contact during conversations, really listening instead of waiting for my turn to speak.
presence is magnetic in a way that performance can never be. the unforgettable girl isn't the one with the most followers. she's the one who made you feel truly seen in a conversation months ago that you still think about.
⋆.ೃ࿔:・ the contrast ・:࿔ೃ.⋆
the most magnetic people i know contain beautiful contradictions. they're warm but selective with their energy. kind but firm with their boundaries. soft in their approach but uncompromising in their values. there's an intriguing tension in someone who can't be easily categorized.
selective vulnerability
being vulnerable doesn't mean emotionally exposing yourself to everyone. it means having the courage to be seen fully by those who have earned that privilege. i'm learning to share my deeper truths with a chosen few rather than seeking validation through constant emotional disclosure.
maintain your own sacred rituals
develop practices that are just for you, not for content, not for sharing, not for anyone else's consumption. maybe it's a morning writing ritual, a special place you visit alone, a playlist you only listen to when you need to reconnect with yourself. these private anchors give you a sense of self that exists completely independent of external validation.
the strangest part of all this? the less i grasp for attention or validation, the more i seem to linger in people's minds. the girl they can't touch but can't forget isn't trying to be unforgettable, she's just fully embodied in her own life.
it's not being untouchable in a cold way. what i'm saying is having boundaries that come from self-respect rather than fear. it's about being warm and open while remaining firmly rooted in who you are.
who are you when you're not trying to be liked? what would it feel like to move through your days without seeking external validation? that's where the magic lives, in that quiet certainty that you are enough exactly as you are, not performing for anyone, just existing fully in your own skin.
and isn't that the most magnetic thing of all?
xoxo, mindy 🤍

HOW TO FIND YOUR PERFECT STYLE: STEP-BY-STEP GUIDE
Finding your personal style means expressing your uniqueness through clothing, accessories, and overall appearance. Here's how to do it intentionally and without overspending.
📌 STEP 1: DETERMINE YOUR BODY SHAPE
The right silhouettes will highlight your best features and minimize areas you're less confident about.
How to Measure:
Shoulders — around the widest part.
Bust — fullest part of your chest.
Waist — narrowest point (usually 2–3 cm above your belly button).
Hips — widest part of your hips/buttocks.
5 Main Body Types:
Pear (Triangle) — Narrow shoulders, wider hips. What to Wear: V-necks, statement tops (colors/prints), A-line skirts.
Inverted Triangle — Broad shoulders, narrow hips. What to Wear: U-necks, flared pants/skirts, dark tops + light bottoms.
Hourglass — Defined waist, shoulders ≈ hips. What to Wear: Fitted clothing, belts, wrap dresses.
Rectangle — Shoulders ≈ hips, minimal waist definition. What to Wear: Layering, asymmetrical hemlines, structured blazers.
Apple — Weight around midsection, slimmer legs. What to Wear: Empire waist dresses, high-waisted bottoms, vertical stripes.
📌 STEP 2: IDENTIFY YOUR COLOR PALETTE
Colors affect how your skin tone, eyes, and overall look are perceived.
Skin Undertone Test:
Vein Test:
Blue/purple veins = Cool undertone.
Greenish veins = Warm undertone.
Mixed = Neutral.
Jewelry Test:
Gold looks better = Warm undertone.
Silver = Cool undertone.
Your Palette:
❄️ Cool Undertone: Emerald, fuchsia, icy blue, silver.
☀️ Warm Undertone: Terracotta, mustard, olive green, gold.
🌫 Neutral: Can wear almost anything, but avoid extremes.
📌 STEP 3: DEFINE YOUR STYLE PERSONA
Your style should reflect your personality and lifestyle.
Common Style Archetypes:
Classic: Timeless, polished (e.g., blazers, trench coats).
Bohemian: Flowy, earthy (e.g., maxi dresses, fringe).
Minimalist: Clean lines, neutral colors (e.g., capsule wardrobe).
Edgy: Bold, unconventional (e.g., leather, metallics).
Romantic: Feminine, delicate (e.g., lace, pastels).
How to Find Yours:
Create a Pinterest board with looks you’re drawn to.
Ask: "What outfits make me feel most confident?"
📌 STEP 4: BUILD A VERSATILE WARDROBE
Invest in quality staples that mix and match effortlessly.
10 Must-Have Pieces:
White tailored button-down
Well-fitted jeans (dark wash + black)
Little black dress
Neutral blazer
Classic trench coat
Black ankle boots
White sneakers
Silk/cotton blouse
Leather jacket
Statement accessory (e.g., silk scarf, bold bag)
📌 STEP 5: TEST & REFINE
Try rental services (e.g., Rent the Runway) to experiment.
Take full-body photos in outfits to assess proportions

an angels guide: my ideal summer morning routine ˚ʚɞ。⋆
hi angels! it’s finally starting to feel like summer, my exams are almost done and the suns shining practically everyday. summer is the perfect time of year to work on yourself, the days are longer, it’s easier to be outside and everything feels so much brighter and more optimistic. with that in mind here is my ideal summer routine! for me this is perfect when i have the time and energy - not every day looks like this but i try and incorporate aspects of this routine as much as possible when time doesn’t permit me to do the entire thing. hopefully it gives you some inspiration and guidance for your own routine!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
wake up and open the curtains and my windows. let as much natural light in and feel the warmth of the day on my skin.
drink a glass of water as i sit and look outside, do some deep breathing and feel the possibilities in this new day.
do five to ten minutes of yoga and stretching (id be happy to do a list of my favourite youtubers/routines!).
do ten minutes of gentle pilates, just to help me feel more awake and ready for the day. getting my body moving first thing helps me feel so alive.
make my bed and tidy anything in my room that’s messy or needs sorting. dress in something cute and summery that helps me feel prepared for the day ahead. i love to wear jewellery or little accessories even when i dont have much planned just to remind myself that every day is special.
brush my teeth and gently wash my face with some cool water to help depuff it and wake me up.
pick my book of the day - especially in the summer when i have more time for pleasure reading i like to read a book a day!
make a delicious summer breakfast. my favourites tend to be a yogurt bowl with fruits, coconut and almond flakes and puffed oats, chia seed pudding/overnight oats or a beautiful smoothie bowl. i aim for at least five different fruits/veggies in summer, i want my breakfasts to be as varied and colourful as possible while being wonderfully nutritious! if possible i eat my meals outside in the summer especially first thing.
fill up my water bottle and make a cup of herbal tea. i always drink tea after eating to help me digest and for all the other benefits. my favourites in the summer tend to be either a green tea, a raspberry hibiscus and strawberry tea (my current fave) or a peach tea!
clean teeth again, mouthwash and use my water flosser to help my mouth feel as clean as possible.
do skincare and bodycare. i use a thick lotion on my body twice a day, wait a little then spray perfume as well as applying suncream on my face always and on my body depending on the UV/my activities for the day.
spend fifteen or twenty minutes journalling and using my hands to write down my feelings, mood or any other journal prompt.
read a little of my book, try and be as thoughtful as possible and really absorb the meaning. treasure what a gift literature is.
go on a little walk! i like to aim for twenty minutes, just something short and brief but allows me to spend some time outside and really moving my body.
do something with my hands. bake something, write something, craft something, anything that requires me to focus and engage in a hobby. im always in the process of creating something and im guilty of having hundreds of half finished projects - hoping to finish some this summer!
prepare and plan for the day ahead. write my to do list, organise things with friends or for myself and get ready to enjoy the rest of my day having spent a delightful summer morning caring for my body and soul.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
thank you for reading angels! hope you enjoyed, summer is such a brilliant time of year to prioritise yourself, your needs and develop new hobbies and skills. this routine reminds me to treasure it and take the time to appreciate it before it slips away for the rest of the year. hopefully this time of year is treating you all wonderfully! to anyone who has exams, take a deep breath, drink some water and remind yourself that you can and will get through this.
from, m.

📌 STEP 1: ASSESS YOUR CURRENT SITUATION
Before making changes, understand your starting point.
1. Conduct a Self-Audit
Appearance: Take full-body and close-up photos. Note what you like and what you’d like to change. Health: How’s your diet? Sleep? Any chronic issues (skin, hair, weight)? Mindset: What negative beliefs hold you back? (e.g., "I’m unattractive," "I’ll never succeed") Style: Do you love your wardrobe? Do you have staple pieces?
Social Circle: Who inspires you? Who drains you?
2. Set Specific Goals
❌ Vague: "I want to be pretty." ✅ Specific:
"Lose 5 kg in 3 months"
"Start a skincare routine: cleanse + moisturize 2x/day"
"Buy 5 versatile wardrobe staples"

Gently Lead Yourself out of a Slump ˚ ༘ ೀ⋆。˚
Tumblr media
Finding yourself in a slump after a productive streak has to be one of the worst feelings in the world. I wrote an entire series in two days, most of it on the first day, and now I feel awful because I pushed myself.
Toxic productivity is more like it. I stayed up longer than I should’ve, and I pushed physical boundaries while others were pushing my mental and emotional boundaries and myself as well. Not a good combination.
Even the simplest things felt like too much. Laundry, replying to people, and talking to people in general. So I wondered what I should do… because I still needed to write, because this is my fun time, my hobby.
Tumblr media
Do you actually want to get out of a slump or are you comfortable?
If you read this entire post, save it however and then you’re like, “yep I’m gonna come back to this,” knowing deep down you’re not, there’s your answer. Comfort can be tricky. But if you have goals, you’re going to need to step out of it and choose what you know you should do over than what you’d rather do if it isn’t benefiting you.
Tumblr media
Accountability
This is where I take the time to be honest about why I'm feeling this way and I rounded it up to this:
Lack of physical activity
Overuse of my phone
Other people
Poor diet
Myself
Tumblr media
Change your perspective - productivity isn’t meant to drain you. If that’s how you see it, no wonder you feel stuck. Think about the life you want, feel into it, and let that lead you. If the destination feels good, the journey should too.
Focus on small wins - watching a video and thinking, “I’m gonna have the perfect routine now— my days are gonna be perfect because I’m gonna follow these steps” is the fastest way to crash again.
Stretch - the most basic, but necessary thing. I want to improve my physical health, but I know that jumping back into working out will do more harm than good, most likely pulling me into a deeper slump.
Youtube’s such a good kickstart for me — I see them doing their thing and I’m instantly up doing mine. Especially Alessya, since she talks mental health too.
Drink water but add electrolytes (which for critical for many bodily functions) to it by incorporating ingredients like sea/himalayan salt, honey, lemon or lime juice, or even drink coconut water if you have it on hand. Magnesium, calcium, potassium & sodium.
Grab a pen and paper or open a blank document and just write - anything at all. Let it out. Then take a moment to clear your physical space. Make your bed, tidy a shelf, sweep or vacuum— whatever helps you create a sense of clarity and calm.
Be intentional - I know I just said to turn your phone off, but if you don’t, at least change what you’re consuming. Play some uplifting music, watch fun or lighthearted YouTube videos, whatever helps. Avoid anything that feels negative, even if it’s meant to be a joke. Just steer clear.
Go outside - feel the ground, the breeze, the sun or moon on your skin. Be here - this moment’s the only one that matters right now.
Challenge yourself. Shake up your routine and build momentum, something small to look forward to. Try a new recipe, draw daily for a few days, or cut your screen time a bit. Little shifts help you feel in control again.
Do something you love - music, sketching, dancing, whatever feels good. It eases pressure, rebuilds energy, and reminds you who you are beyond the moment. I use a dopamine menu and pick something based on my energy: low, medium, or high effort.

how to free yourself from people pleasing permanently⋆.ೃ࿔*:・🍨🎀
Tumblr media Tumblr media
if ur done living for the approval of others, feeling the pressure of always having to make everyone else happy while neglecting yourself then this post is for you…💬🎀
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
BE SELF AWARE ;
the first step to change is becoming aware of ur behavior. do u say yes even when u really wanna say no? do u constantly walk on eggshells in the fear of being misunderstood? do you water urself down to be digestible to people? if u answered yes to any of these questions, chances are u have people pleasing tendencies.
WHY DO WE PEOPLE PLEASE? ;
a lot of us learnt people pleasing as a survival mechanism. we started people pleasing to fit in, or maybe we were taught from an early age that being a "good person" meant keeping everyone happy but yourself, and that love was conditional.
THE STEPS TO TAKE ;
change ur environment - if u cannot change ur environment drastically u can always change little things about it, for example changing the people you talk with everyday, taking new routes, putting yourself in new environments and planning ur next big moves
reconnect with ur authentic self - journal, reflect, be alone. figure out what you like, want, need. people pleasing disconnects you from your own identity, learn who you are WITHOUT the people pleasing performing tendencies
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
STAND ON BUSINESS ;
to finish off, ur not here to be liked by everyone, some people might get uncomfortable when you stop over-explaining yourself or putting them first, but that’s not your burden to carry anymore. its ur life so why shouldn't u put urself first?
im not telling u to go out and be a terrible person im telling u to listen to yourself for once. think "what does (insert ur name) want?" instead of what u should do to appease to others. dont overextend urself for crumbs girls. choose you always 💕

any skin care (face) advice?
hi darling!! thank you so much sending in an ask! i’m so excited to answer this omg i LOVE skincare!! 🤍
Tumblr media
faustina’s skincare tips. ᥫ᭡
just as a friendly reminder: everyone is different. no one has the exact same skin type/concerns, but i’ll try to keep my list of tips more generalized so that anyone with any kind of skin type can take them into consideration!
Tumblr media
— tip #1 : stop touching your face!
i used to be a chronic face toucher/picker and it’s a habit that’s kind of hard to break! but think about it: your hands touch soooooo many different things throughout the day and that means there’s soooooo much bacteria, dirt, & grime probably sticking to your hands and when you go to touch your face, your just transferring all that bacteria onto your face! gross, right? stop touching your face!
picking at your pimples is also a huge no! picking at your acne can cause acne scarring, so leave your pimple alone! don’t pick at it, don’t try and pop it, just let it be and let your acne treatments do all the work!
pro tip — wash your hands before doing any kind of skin care! make sure you’re washing your hands for at least 20 seconds and make sure to scrub any and all surfaces of your hands!
— tip #2 : change your pillowcase weekly!
this should be a given, but if you aren’t already changing your pillowcases regularly then it’s no wonder you’re breaking out babe! there’s so much sweat, dirt, and bacteria that can build up in your pillowcase and, like with touching your face, can lead to all that ickiness transferring onto your face!
pro tip — invest in a silk/satin pillowcase! not only will it benefit your hair, but it’ll also benefit your skin!
— tip #3 : start simple!
i know we all see these different viral skincare products that we’re all dying to try, but do not try them all in one go! the more new products you try out at once, the harder it’ll be to figure out which product is breaking you out if you have a bad reaction to something!
keep your skincare routine simple: face wash, toner, & moisturizer at night and toner, moisturizer, & spf in the morning! once you get a feel for the basics, then you can slowly start adding in new products!
pro tip — an easy way of finding out your skin type is by washing your face with your usual cleanser and waiting 30 minutes afterwards to see how your skin feels! don’t worry about using any other products!
if your skin looks extra shiny & feels kind of greasy, then you have oily skin
if your skin feels tight and looks patchy/flaky, then you have dry skin
if your forehead & nose feel greasy and look shiny, but your cheeks/chin area feel tight & look patchy/flaky, then you have combo skin
if your skin feels normal as in there’s no tightness, no dryness, no signs of oiliness, then you have normal skin
— tip #4 : double cleanse!
double cleansing has been a non-negotiable for me! i used to remove my makeup with makeup wipes, but they never fully removed my makeup leaving me with a lot of residue & new breakouts. i also used micellar water, but it was about the same results as when i was using makeup wipes. i still use micellar water when i have a full beat on, but i’ll only use it just to ensure that i got every last bit of makeup off!
i personally use the Anua Heartleaf Pore Control Cleansing Oil (the mild one!) as my first cleanse! i love that it doesn’t clog my pores, leaves my skin feeling clean, & really helps to remove all the makeup, spf (yes, double cleansing also helps to remover sunscreen!), and any dirt & grime from the day! i then go in with the Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser for normal to dry skin as my second cleanse!
double cleansing just helps to make sure your skin is clean and free from anything that can cause new breakouts!
pro tip — if you use an oil cleanser, be sure to emulsify it with water! always apply the oil cleanser onto dry skin, but before you completely rinse it off, splash your face with water and get your hands wet to start rubbing your face gently. you’ll see the oil turn into a milky, white texture! that’ll be how you know you’re emulsifying it! it just helps to make sure you’re getting that oil cleanser off!
— tip #5 : do your research!
there’s so many skincare products out there that people rave over, but before you go buy something that’s going viral, do your research! read product reviews, find people who have the same or similar skin type as you who are using the product, read the ingredients & make sure there isn’t anything in the product that you’ll have a bad reaction to!
make sure you’re looking for and researching products for your skin type! just because a product may say “best for all skin types” doesn’t mean it will actually be the best for you! so don’t be afraid to do deep dives on different skincare products!
final notes —
skincare is a lot of trial and error. you’re going to try different products and some may be a god-send for you while some may send you ten steps backwards! there may even be some products you try that just don’t do anything for you! and that’s okay! you have to figure out what works best for you and your skin, but let your skincare journey be something fun! after all, it is a form of self care!
with lots of love, faustina 🌷

how to be tea - honey's handbook⋆.ೃ࿔*:・🌟💞
Tumblr media
this is a post that talks about all things beauty, wellness and confidence from the experience of a honey toned hottie. everything ik works cuz i do them myself to just be tea, to be raw, to be FABULOUS. im structuring this post with affirmations as the section titles because what u think and affirm is what you'll experience so thats just me tying LOA into this post...💬🎀
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
"MY SKIN IS ALWAYS SO GLOWY AND FLAWLESS" ;
skin cycling - skin cycling is basically a skincare routine that alternates between using active ingredients and resting the skin. my skin cycling routine goes like this (exfoliate -> brighten -> hydrate) with rest days where i need them.
i've found this to work really really well for me so if ur looking to try something solid def give this a try! remember, everyone is different so feel free to tailor it to ur needs and experiment to find what works for YOU.
subliminals - SUBLIMINALS are the best! i have a subliminal playlist that i play at night and i wake up looking absolutely FLAWLESS. im linking it right here. ik theres a lot of misconceptions and misinformation about subliminals so lemme give u guys a quick rundown...💬🎀
✨ a subliminal is an audio of affirmations layered with music or rain sounds. so you'd hear the rain sounds, white noise, whale noises etc but the affirmations would play and soak into ur subconscious like a sponge.
✨ subliminal work because they impress new beliefs onto your subconscious, and with the law of assumption, your reality shifts to match those beliefs. also because whatever u assume to be true is true so if u assume they work then they do and thats that.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
✨ to make a subliminal work u dont have to do anything but assume. assume that it works. if ur listening to a subliminal and it says anything like "drink water to see results, only listen twice!" or anything like that u can just disregard it cuz thats bs.
"MY BODY IS SO TEAAA" ;
🌟 i workout about 3-4 times a week but on days that i dont work out i still stay active. staying active by going for a walk, jump roping, dancing or running and stretching.
🌟 my everyday workout routine ALWAYS starts by stretching. i'll either do a flexibility stretch or a mobility stretch in the morning and a stretch to relieve pain in my back before bed.
🌟 literally every workout that i do is from youtube, youtube WORKS, youtube is TEA. some days i'll do one long pilates workout and some days i'll target each part of my body with an individual workout. honestly it all depends on what i do and dont have time for.
"I HAVE HAIR TO MY ASS" ;
💕 scalp care is SO neglected and it's arguably one of the most important things to take care of. i oil my hair maybe 1-2x a week with rosemary, jamaican black castor oil, and peppermint. i’ll warm it up a little, massage it in with my fingertips (or that cute lil scalp massager thingy), and then slick it back in a loose ponytail with love.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
💕 i sleep with a satin bonnet or pillowcase every night. no excuses. even if i’m tired. even if i’m sad. even if i’m sleeping over somewhere and feel awkward. i will protect the inches.
💕 also brush ur hair! its so important to increase blood flow therefore promote growth. i feel like such a princess every time i brush my hair before bed, and im so METICULOUS with this shit its really amazing.
"EVERYTHING IN MY LIFE IS PERFECT" ;
i try to meditate every singe day to kind of ground myself and just immerse myself in the end and it's great! since im not a very visual girlie i just talk to myself while i do this. even if im not consciously manifesting anything at the time just going inward and having a conversation (idk if this makes me sound crazy but it feels nice)
to ensure that everything in my life is perfect i always make sure i have an agenda for the day cuz im a very type A kind of girl so i like to know exactly what im doing when. i have goals to accomplish and things to do! so my time management is very top tier with my agenda. to keep myself on track i implement little things like :
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
👛 screen free mornings - i WILL get distracted and i'd just rather not
👛 social media detox every other week - lately tiktok has just been a cesspool of brain rot (and when i say brain rot im not referring to tung tung tung sahur) im referring to incessant bad news and im just NOT into that so i take a break for my mental health every other week. and i try to minimize the time i spend on social media platforms in general
"IM SO TALENTED" ;
i take my passions, and talents SO seriously. im a singer so i practice singing everyday. i'd also say im a rly multi-passionate person. i manage my girl blog, my magazine, i play piano, tennis, and i feel like im always working on a project! so i make sure to pour into myself in all aspects of my life, especially as a perfectionist. i wanna make sure every one of my passions has been poured into.
