Please yell us more about your Toonkind character and also what that is. I love them.

Toonkind is the homebrew D&D species I made a few years ago! Designed to let you live out all your High Fantasy Who Framed Roger Rabbit AU dreams.

In the campaign setting, there's a leak from the ethereal plane into the material, which is the source of Toonkind. The town that sprung up around this leak is difficult for outsiders to find, as it only reveals itself upon singing a certain song. Toonkind are a known quantity in the world but generally still pretty rare and bizarre, in the same way fae are.

My character is a Great Old One warlock named Skrewi Bu, who enjoyed slipping out of their hometown now and again to cause a bit of mischief. They unfortunately pressed a few too many buttons and got cursed by a hag to forget their theme song; without it, she's stuck without any way home.

At the start of the campaign it's been a few months since they've been cursed and the circumstances haven't quite sunk in--it still feels like a silly weird adventure, albeit one that involves SO much WAITING. It's okay though, soon enough things will return to status quo and she'll have a great story to tell! Any day now!!!!
