This reflection embodies this class as a whole, we're practicing work that is actually tangible in the real world and we are putting what we're learning into action! I agree, this is beneficial for us all to see the types of questions that may be asked in interviews, and it is crucial for us to state specific instances we demonstrated certain elements.
Original Content Writing 1
What do you like the most about your CL Reflection?
I like that I am answering questions that are interview questions. I am able to speak like I am at an interview. I can get a sense of what a future interview can look like for when I apply for a job in IT.

To see yourself be able to accomplish things you never have done before is always something to be proud of! This class opened our eyes to other forms of writing that serve so much benefit in society, and it showed us a side of writing that isn't academic for a change! I'd argue this type of writing is almost more beneficial for us to practice and grow in.
Original Content Writing 3
What are you most proud of with your writing process?
I am proud that I was able to do more and do things differently compared to other classes. Being able to think differently when doing the assignments. It was not writing me 3 essays and having to be in a certain tone. These were all creative.

I agree, hands-on, tangible, progress is always empowering, and hands-on work that we can put what we learned in action is so refreshing and a great way to process the learning! Content strategy and web writing in general are processes I was never aware of and never taught, there's a lot too it, but you're right, it is so beneficial for us to have learned this to be able to be confident in our abilities to write for the web and adapt to certain circumstances.
Original Content Writing #2
What do you like most about your learning?
What I like most about my learning is the growth I've experienced in connecting theory to practice. Throughout this course, I’ve enjoyed seeing how concepts like audience analysis, purpose, and user experience come to life in real-world digital writing. I appreciate how assignments challenged me to think critically and creatively, whether I was analyzing social media posts, writing for different audiences, or incorporating feedback into revisions. This hands-on learning has deepened my understanding of content strategy and made me more confident in my ability to adapt my writing for diverse platforms and situations. It’s empowering to see tangible progress.

Original Content Writing | Week 15 (3/3)
What do you like the most about your CL Reflection?
I'd say what I like most is actually the practice it's giving me in answering questions of this type, as well as allowing me to reflect on the work I've done throughout the course and the progress I've made as a writer. These questions are meant to unearth times where we demonstrated problem-solving and web writing, and I love this!

Original Content Writing | Week 15 (2/3)
What are you most proud of with your writing process?
I'm most proud of the range I now have. What I mean by this is I feel I now have the skills to write in all different kinds of facets and circumstances. This, I feel, is a crucial skill to have when entering the workforce, also a valuable skill. I cannot say I was able to be so flexible with my writing before this class!

Original Content Writing | Week 15 (1/3)
What do you like most about your learning?
I'd say I liked learning a new realm of writing. For me, writing has always been academic writing, nice and neat papers with proper everything. Web writing is different and much more personable. It shows a side of writing that so much more people can relate to and interact with.
Learning the ins and outs of content creation with web writing was my favorite step of the course. It allowed me to dive deep into creators that I personally follow and aspire to be, and to see what type of content these big names in the community have the most success with. It truly was interesting to learn about, and then making our own content was also intriguing to learn about!

Thursday Check-In Post | Week 15
What questions about writing skill development do you have?
Not entirely sure if this has to do with skill development, but definitely a necessary part of writing I feel. I've been wondering...
How long should you write at a time? How much is too much, or is the limit when you start to get overwhelmed? @npfannen how long do you spend writing at a time?
I feel like I never know when I should step away and take a breather! 😭

I totally get where you're coming from! The main reason I wish it continued a bit longer is because I felt the ending was slightly rushed. Not saying it wasn't great, I just felt a lot happened in a little amount of episodes and I think it felt a bit cramped. I also just loved it and didn't want it to end lol! But yes, once a show goes for TOO long, it can feel repetitive, so I am glad it ended before it got to that state and it can remain an elite shoe through and through!

Share an example of your experience as a fan of a show that was cancelled. Help us feel the feels...
Suits is probably my favorite show of all time, but I'd be lying if I said I watched it when it was airing. I actually didn't watch it until 2 years after it ended, when it was all on Netflix. However, this doesn't mean I wasn't in shambles when it came time to watch the last season. I wished so badly there were more seasons so I could continue to feel the rush the show gave me. This instantly became my favorite show just after a few episodes, and I'm sure a lot can relate to the heartbreak of a show they relate to so much ending. A true shame.

We are at the end of the semester - share images of your favorite part of the last weeks of a semester...
The first picture is of studying with all the Christmas stuff up, it really is just so much more peaceful than normal. The second image is supposed to resemble driving home from my last in-person class of the semester. It's a surreal feeling and I live for it!

This looks very effective! The one thing I'd say is that it does feel sort of like a news channel is breaking the news to us, which isn't necessarily a down side, that's just what my first thought was. The message seems strong and the use of a hashtag is good so this post can reach its audience.

This is a sample of what one of my cancellation posts look like. Is there anything I should add or change to improve my post?

This seems effective! Other than maybe the addition of hashtags to reach the intended audience more efficiently, I don't believe much else is needed in terms of adding on. Does the light switch have anything to do with the plot of your show? Just curious, because that would be some bonus points!

Hi Everyone!
This is a post I’ve created simulating a twitter post from the production company of FavoriteShow, the show we are all aware of lol.
I just would like some feedback, does it need anything more, less, etc.
Thanks!

I personally have never watched The Walking Dead, but my girlfriend has, and she loved it and wants me to watch it with her. She said she was also extremely saddened when the show was cancelled off, and that the spin-offs just don't compare to the actual show. It sounds like it's a great show, maybe I'll have to take her up on her offer. I can definitely see how one could understand the angry fandom from the fans of this show though, especially if you are one of those fans!

Share an example of your experience as a fan of a show that was cancelled. Help us feel the feels...
I watched The Walking Dead from the first day that it aired on television to the very last episode. I basically grew up with this show and became very attached to the characters and the storylines they each had. I stuck with the show as they killed characters off and made decisions about which characters leave without dying. I kept up with the actors on social media and made sure I knew when the start to each season was. I was extremely saddened to hear that they were ending the show and dividing the storylines up without giving an official ending to the story. I do not have the time to watch three different shows for these characters I have come to know very well. So, I no longer keep up or watch.

Share a section of your Design Project content. What is the work of this sample? How can we help you revise?
As you can see, these are my anger posts from the fans of the show (which takes inspiration from Outer Banks). I'm going back and forth because I got feedback that I didn't have hashtags and if that was an intentional design choice, which admittedly, it was not. But it poses an interesting question, do these anger posts from the fans need hashtags? Would fans naturally include hashtags in a post like this? If you have any feedback on this, please let me know! ☺️

Original Content Writing | Week 14 (2/3)
Share an example of your favorite television show or movie - how does that show/movie help you work through this project and understand angry fandom?
Cars is probably my favorite movie, just because it means so much to me and brings me back to my childhood every time I see it. It really is a classic. In saying this, Cars gives me a little insight on the mindset of angry fandom because of the continuation of the series. The first movie, masterpiece, second movie, good, maybe a little weird, third movie, just okay myself and many others would say. This is slightly frustrating as there's so much potential. And, with not knowing if there will be any more of the movies, it really does get you fired up.

Thursday Check-In Post | Week 14
What assignment questions do you have that will help you complete and revise successfully?
For the posts I will create from the producers responding to the fans, I feel it is crucial to have the actors/actresses respond with them, or in place of the TV Movie Studio Co. at some points. This allows the fans to hear from the people they resonate with, which will help digest the information I feel. My question is, @npfannen, as we create example posts, should these posts of the actors/actresses come from the TV Movie Studio Co. account, or should they come from their own accounts? Or is either acceptable? What would be the most effective place for them to post? Right now I feel like this is a grey area, any insight would help me dramatically! 😇

I work at my family's trophy shop, and my biggest role is doing all of the engraving work, amongst other things. "Flexi" is an example of a word that many don't understand when they hear us saying it. It refers to the most common type of material that we engrave on, which is called flexible brass.
