my theory about kc's comic becoming ship slop is it's because her schizophrenia has been worsening as she ages, as is the case with that condition iirc. that's not to say that a schizophrenic person can't make valuable art, but she lost her focus on the main comic years ago. her fictional characters being in relationships is becoming how she processes reality, proven by the fact that all her major relationships have been selfship incest kindating (frosty sly norma and chem have all been written after/kinned by actual significant others) it would make me sad for her if it she didnt take the most stubbornly disgusting possible approach to it all
