I wanted a cheap, easy, atmospheric way to store players' cards and ammo dials between sessions of Resident Evil: The Board Game, and this is what I landed on!
The RE2/RE3 "Tony's Arms" design was purchased as a high-quality PNG from PaulElderDesign on Etsy. Then I exported the handgun ammo model texture from RE0 HD and recreated it using the tuck box dimensions from Paul's design, matching fonts and colors as accurately as possible to the in-game model (including mistranslations and typos).
Both designs were printed on 8.5" x 11" 80lb (216gsm) cardstock, cut out with an X-Acto knife and a metal ruler, and glued together with basic white glue. The "right" tab was glued shut for added durability. The design and paper cost me about $9 for all four boxes, not including the knife, ruler, and glue I had leftover from previous projects (an extra ~$8, and they'll last you for many future projects). Assembly took about 90 minutes. The RE0 design took... more than 90 minutes. (I would make it available for download, but I used purchased art as the outline for it and I'm not sure how legal it is to redistribute a piece of that for free.)
If I were to redo them, I would adjust the dimensions on the "front" and "back" to be 2.75" wide. When printed on letter paper, Paul's design is roughly 2.45" wide - standard American cards are 2.5" wide, plus margins for a sleeve. They can still fit when placed diagonally, but it might be better for the cards to lay flat. (Absolutely no discredit to Paul's fantastic work - it wasn't intended to fit cards. He's also got designs for pretty much every other RE ammo box!) I also might end up gently blotting the REO ones with coffee to make it look like they've been sitting in a dusty abandoned training facility for months.

Hi, Tumblr. It’s Tumblr. We’re working on some things that we want to share with you.
AI companies are acquiring content across the internet for a variety of purposes in all sorts of ways. There are currently very few regulations giving individuals control over how their content is used by AI platforms. Proposed regulations around the world, like the European Union’s AI Act, would give individuals more control over whether and how their content is utilized by this emerging technology. We support this right regardless of geographic location, so we’re releasing a toggle to opt out of sharing content from your public blogs with third parties, including AI platforms that use this content for model training. We’re also working with partners to ensure you have as much control as possible regarding what content is used.
Here are the important details:
We already discourage AI crawlers from gathering content from Tumblr and will continue to do so, save for those with which we partner.
We want to represent all of you on Tumblr and ensure that protections are in place for how your content is used. We are committed to making sure our partners respect those decisions.
To opt out of sharing your public blogs’ content with third parties, visit each of your public blogs’ blog settings via the web interface and toggle on the “Prevent third-party sharing” option.
For instructions on how to opt out using the latest version of the app, please visit this Help Center doc.
Please note: If you’ve already chosen to discourage search crawling of your blog in your settings, we’ve automatically enabled the “Prevent third-party sharing” option.
If you have concerns, please read through the Help Center doc linked above and contact us via Support if you still have questions.
