So let me get this straight, even when their relationship couldn't even be referred to as civil without raising eyebrows--and we think izuku definitely dislikes katsuki for the things he did, they both gravitate towards friendships that simulate eachother's personality traits?

This always bothered me in a way. they are shown to work well together in almost every movie, and in the final battle, plus the end of the manga.

So...why did nobody suggest they go through with becoming a duo?! Especially knowing they wanted to.

Moreover, all-might forever regrets how him and night-eye split, when he turned away from him. In the case of a sidekick/hero partnership the relationship is more unbalanced, when we see nighteye begging allmight to take care of himself it shows us a power imbalance.

You get what I'm getting at here?

A Sidekick and a hero can be a representation for inbalance, in other words, a one-sided love or commitment.

Whereas a Hero duo can be interpreted as a representation of a reciprocated romantic relationship.

Through this lens, In MHA 431 Katsuki doesn't just ask izuku to join his hero agency. He's asking... YOU KNOW.

And why does deku turn him away again? Because he wants to focus on himself, because he needs to talk to uraraka. Because he thinks Katsuki wants him as a sidekick.

Katsuki in 424 says, "I thought we'd really be top heros together"

It was never about top hero, number one, or beating villains. All Katsuki and izuku wanted as children was to be together in the limelight.

Cynikka's complete and utter devotion towards the volcano being the ultimate reason it was desecrated and was brought to ruin makes me crazyyy

I love love how she wasnt evil. She wasnt power seeking or greedy for resources, but just someone that was so devoted to something and believing so deeply that what she's doing was right. She believed wholeheartedly that what shes doing was for the good of Infernus and for the volcano that she devoted her whole life and kingdom to, only for it to be her and her kingdom's downfall. In the end, it's what really solidifies her as a great villain.

Something about how Infernus is the nation of the flame and fire can be caring and loving and warm, but also a nature of great destructive force if left unchecked, often quickly escalating and burning out everything, even those that once took comfort in its warmth.
