I couldn't resist writing drunk Zayne 🤭

The door had barely clicked shut when Zayne pressed her gently against it, his lips claiming hers with a hunger he rarely let show. His hands slid over her waist, then up her back, strong but careful, as though every touch was a vow not to hurt her.

She pulled back just enough to whisper between kisses, teasing still: “You’re drunk.”

His green eyes darkened, soft and pleading at the same time. “Then let me be drunk on you.”

Zayne’s words carried none of the measured reserve she was used to. Tonight, he was unbound, and the liquor had stripped away the last walls around his heart. He kissed her again, slower now, savoring her lips as his hands drew her closer.

Before long, he sank onto the couch, pulling her down with him. His tie was loose, vest still buttoned, though his chest rose and fell with quickened breaths. He looked up at her with that rare, unguarded vulnerability—like he needed her more than air.

“Sit on my lap.” he murmured, tugging gently at her hips until she straddled his lap. She could feel the hard evidence of his desire beneath her, but more than that, she felt the way his hands gripped her thighs, not with urgency but with reverence.

“Say my name,” he whispered, voice low, roughened by passion.

Her cheeks warmed, her lips curving with a shy smile. “Zayne…”

He groaned softly at the sound, tilting his head back against the couch. His hands slid up her sides, lingering over her curves, before pulling her closer until their foreheads touched. “Again. Please.” He could feel himself pulsing beneath her as he kissed her ear gently, his hips pressing against her with desire.

She obliged, whispering it against his lips this time, and the effect on him was immediate—his arms tightened around her, mouth capturing hers in a kiss that left her breathless. Every brush of his tongue, every soft bite to her lower lip was both tender and desperate.

The usually reserved doctor was undone, drunk not just from the chocolate but from her presence. His hands roamed under the hem of her shirt, fingertips tracing her skin as though memorizing it. He kissed her neck, her collarbone, whispering between each touch:

“Do you know how much I love you?”

She nodded, gasping softly as his lips found the sensitive spot beneath her ear. “Show me,” she whispered back.

Zayne needed no further invitation. His vest hit the floor, then his shirt, his toned chest warm against hers as he held her close. He kissed her hungrily, yet there was never a moment she didn’t feel cherished. Even as passion overtook him, every touch said you’re precious to me.

He guided her movements on his lap, his breath ragged, his lips finding hers again and again. “Say it,” he begged, voice trembling now. “Say my name when I touch you—when I love you.”

And when she did, the sound of it seemed to break him completely. His control was gone, replaced by raw devotion, his kisses trailing lower, his hands and mouth worshipping every inch of her as though she were the only thing that could satisfy the hunger burning through him.

“I don’t ever want to let you go,” he murmured, pressing a final kiss to her forehead.
