"Recover, Repair, Repurpose"

Started by the red oni "Uncle" Tsukuru Naosu, the Kintsugi Salvage and Reclamation company was founded about five years before the Hollow Zero disaster. The company specializes in retrieval of vehicles, machinery, and appliances from hollows, and the decontamination of such things.

After the Hollow Zero disaster, Uncle Naosu hired Langyi on, as well as repairing and hiring on a friend of hers, Hulse Brecher, a fellow Intelligent Construct.

Sometime in the past few years, a young woman covered in scars and a tattered uniform of some Defense Force squad began stealing parts and food from the dumpsters and vending machines around the salvage yard. Uncle Naosu managed to earn her trust enough to take her on as an Apprentice, and now she works and lives at the Salvage yard. She's not very personable, but she offered the name "Armurier." (She is one of Anby's sister's. the left side of her head is shaved, with her hair flopped over the right side.)

In the last couple weeks Uncle Naosu has also hired, under Hulse's suggestion, Mankali Aster, a Cow Thiren (And Monna's older sister) and Aaron Dinae (Her human best friend) after Hulse rescued the pair from a Hollow Raider gang that was using them to produce an army of Lumberjacks and Sweepers, among other Raider Constructs.

Now onto the main agent of the post;

"While I question my Sister's Choice of Career, I am happy she is in good hands." - Officer Qingyi, Public Security Janus Quarter.

"She was able to get a car I gave up on Running with a Good whack of her wrench! She's a lifesaver!" - Resident of the Faunus Quarter

"She's always able to find time to get me new and refurbished parts for cheap. Kintsugi never lets me down!" - Billy Kid, Cunning Hares Odd-Job Agency.

"Langyi? She's the best Safety Officer I've seen since the first High Rise was built in the old Capital!" - 'Uncle' Tsukuru Naosu, President of the Kintsugi Salvage and Reclamation Co.

Langyi is an A Rank Ether-Anomaly agent, with a fighting style set around leading Basic attacks into Special and EX Special attacks, similar to Anby. She is based on Wizards and Witches, such as Morgan Le Fae and Merlin of Arthurian legend, The Baba Yaga of siberian folklore, Alchemists both fictional and historical, and, most importantly, modern iteration of them, as seen in DnD and Frieren.

She normally just hits things with her wrench, but can also energize the Ether container in her Wrench/Cane to send out Ether Shots, or in the case of her ultimate, an Ether Lightning Storm, like the Towers in those couple of commissions.

Where Qingyi is often subdued and calm, Langyi is Manic, often Cackling and excited to do weird, wild things. She is, in a word, unhinged. She love being unhinged, even when people are weirded out by it, and especially when they get startled by it. She's not afraid to speak her mind, and loudly speak it again if she is ignored. She is Kind, she is sweet, she is ever so slightly crazy.

Her and Fairy would get on like California and Fire.

Her W-Engine, called "Cast-Iron Cauldron," is a unlicensed recreation of the Public Security Combat Automaton W-Engine "Ice-Jade Teapot," Modified for Ether Storage and Excitement, rather than Electrical usage.

I would love to hear thoughts/opinions on her, and any suggestion you all might have.

Granted his legs look a LOT more like plated armor, and not human legs, but still. just a Silver Hi-Vis vest a Yellow hardhat.

Thank you for the critique! I am going to try and clear a few things up though

Langyi is more akin to Qingyi if she was Merlin from Disney's "Sword in the Stone" or Arthur Augefort from Dimension 20's Fantasy High.

I'm Very happy you picked up on her Cane being a Wand! I always like the idea of stuff serving dual purposes, or being hidden as mundane things, like Vivian's parasol or Nicole's briefcase.

She'd get along well with most of the cast. I don't know about being very close friends with many of them, but she can entertain and hold a conversation with all of them. Matching the Energy of those like Anton, Billy, and Burnice, but also carries the weight of her age; She isn't that much Younger than Qingyi, and is able to draw on that experience to know when to mellow out, allowing her to simply be a little cheeky than totally unhinged.

She is Qingyi's sister in that they are the same model of Automaton, Langyi was just built a little later, and woke up in the modern era of ZZZ a little later as well. Same creators, same model, same timespan of creation, so they are Sisters, not unlike Anby and the rest of silver squad.

The deal with her arm is that, she does not have the same funding as Qingyi. Qingyi got her whole body replaced in a one of the recent events, and also has spoken about losing limbs and replacing joints with high-quality porcelume.

Langyi, however, is working a dangerous, less-well paying job, she doesn't have Pubsec's funding behind her, so she couldn't afford to repair and replace the "Highest Quality" stuff, and even if she could, she works in a place all about recycling and refurbishment. She's got ALL the parts she could ever wish for, even if they aren't completely new, they are lovingly and professionally repaired, specifically for her.

There's also a sentimental aspect of it.

As for her clothes; I tried to strike a balance between what makes sense for the Character, and what How Hoyoverse designs characters.

The cracks along the right side of her face aren't very noticeable on this screenshot, but they are there, her boots have heels despite being work boots, which is very Hoyoverse, and her arms are completely exposed, again, very Hoyoverse.

Langyi is wearing a Hi-Visibility Vest, and a similarly colored long skirt, her boots are held on with Laces and buckles, and her cloak is brown and gold.

Her Color scheme is primarily Orange and Brown, Yellow+Brass to Contrast Qingyi a bit more, with Silver and Purple as Accent/trim colors for a bit of diversity.

Her hair color definitely needs work, but I was more worried about the Texture than the saturation. It's a little too green.

It'd make a LOT more sense when you (can) look at the rest of her team

Mankali is based on the Minotaur, Brazen Bull, and a Torch welder (Lots of orange, gold, and brown) Aaron is based on a Hoplite (Brass Armor, sort an orange color) Tsukuru Naosu is a Red oni as Stated, with heavy duty brown coveralls.

Hulse and Armurier are a bit more loosely connected and harder to give a sense of what they look like, but believe me, they maintain the theme.

All of their outfits are Working clothes, Scrappy, Patchy, and/or Hi-Visibility gear

I wouldn't say Langyi is the Polar Opposite of Qingyi, I'd say the Langyi is Qingyi, just OPENLY unhinged.

Qingyi is weird. she tastes evidence. She offers Zhu Yuan up like a prize to the Proxy in one of Zhu Yuan's trust events. She stays asleep after we plug her in to charge. She knows most of things are weird, if not all of them.

Qingyi is Playful, cheeky, and a little bit of a gremlin.

Langyi is a very BIG Gremlin, and actively chooses to be so.

Billy has to get Parts from somewhere, so, in my own lore, Uncle Naosu was Appon's mentor (Appon being one of the people that uncovered Billy) so that's how they know each other; Uncle Naosu keeps an Eye on Billy while he's in New Eridu, and does his best to make sure Billy has all that he needs to function.

honestly, Kintsugi Co. and the HAres would get along great! Nicoles could get parts for her weapon and Car at a much, Much lower price than anywhere else, and also, the people that work there are nice.

I am writing a story about all of them, so in my canon the Hares and Kintsugi haven't met yet.
