heizou - honestly, you’ll never know if he’s seriously dumb or just pretending. he’s a part of the student council although he may seem like he’s against it himself. he’s chill and laid-back occasionally and will give people multiple chances. yet y/n & kazuha piss him off so bad. he’s also surprisingly well at memorizing the entire map of the school.

ayato - rich hot boy in the group. constantly attracted by girls and scara’s least favorite. he’s the shining star and makes the entire group surrounded by people due to how often he gets talked to. it’s either because he’s handsome, someone needs help, or they want to talk as friends. he’s kinda shitty behind the scenes to get what he wants, but he’s really not that bad if you think about it.

thoma - literal fix it felix. always helping people, teachers pet, AND student council. he’s the most perfect guy you’d meet, aside from ayato. he doesn’t get that many girls and sometimes he honestly gets picked on. the type to apologize for someone bumping into him and stuff. he kinda has anger issues behind the scene depending on the situation. very sweet, big brother vibes.

itto - BESTEST COOLEST GUY YOULL EVER COME ACROSS. ultimate beetle fighter guy. kinda book smart dumb, but he’s so kind. BEST FRIENDS WITH THOMA, willing to become friends with literally anyone. kids cry when they talk to him and it makes him feel so bad he runs off. he wouldn’t hurt a fly.. unless you insult his friends. he looks intimidating due to his height and looks but he’s a big softie. willing to try and help you with homework, but he’s honestly scoring a lower grade than you even if you can’t figure out the question.

yae - you only are close with her because shes close with kazuha tbh. shes friends / study buddies with kazuha. they work together in the library in teyvat high. shes a menace just like kazuha, they team up so well its so annoying

you were unaware of the argument between kazuha and albedo until albedo facetimed you at 10 pm for the next 2 hours while you let him vent to you on how he felt abt the situation. kazuha, then came to you 30 minutes later to tell you about how upset he was that him and a close friend fought over a girl like you ( DW HE WAS BEING POSITIVE. just saying you were sweet and they shouldn’t have fought like that since it was stupid ).

you felt awful and somewhat felt as though it was you fault for posting something like that so you try to help and give as much compensation to help them mend their slightly torn friendship back together.

venti did get taken off your priv for 2 weeks at most due to how upset you were with him disobeying your wishes as you didn’t 100% blame yourself for this issue. but alas, you fixed all issues with the situation eventually!

hu tao & yanfei heard of the issue once you explained to them how bad you felt and they ended up coming over 15 minutes later! you guys ended up staying up until 4 am and passed out in your living room after making homemade brownies and watching disney princess movies! +100 for supportive friends <3

albedo lets out a frustrated sigh as he puts his phone down on the desk he was sitting at. currently, he was stuck in an empty classroom the science club uses for meetings. he was focused on his class work and homework although he could easily finish it at home. he always preferred doing things earlier than last minute so he could be prepared for the future. that was always his motto, but it didn’t exactly apply to some things.

you, for example, were one of those reasons why it didnt apply. albedo couldn’t exactly figure out why he liked you so much. you were a normal girl he used to play with as a child, nothing more than that. no matter how hard he tried, he could never forget about you. the more he tried, the more he thought about you.

he lets out an audible sigh as you took over his mind again. ‘why are you thinking about her during homework?’ he asked himself, rubbing his forehead slightly as he leaned back in his chair. ‘ what about kazuha?..’ he asked himself mentally while closing his eyes for a brief moment. ‘what we’re they talking about? did they become friends? did kazuha say something about me? was it good or bad? y/n doesn’t like him like that right? she doesn’t like people like him? what if he-‘ the sound of the classroom door suddenly opening caused albedo to jump abruptly in his seat. he lets out a frustrated sigh yet again at the sight of you bursting into the classroom randomly. “y/n.” he mumbled, rubbing a hand on his forehead while he hid his red face as he was embarrassed to be caught off guard.

you smile and wave at him awkwardly, looking around the room before stepping back. you noticed how distraught he seemed and felt bad for interrupting him on a frustrating time for him. would it be best to leave him alone?.. maybe, i’ll just leave then. “sorry albedo, i thought this room was empty so..” you look down to your feet and began walking backwards. “i’ll leave you be for now-“

“no stay-“ he suddenly called out, clearing his throat when you looked back to him with a look of surprise at his sudden outburst. “sorry, i mean, i dont mind if you wanna.. stay in here with me.” he let out a gentle nod and gestured to the seat next to him that he had used for putting his materials on. “come.”

instead of leaving, you decided to take up on his offer. you rest your head on the desk as you watch albedo continue his work slower than usual. “what’s wrong? you seem tense today.”

he gives you a quick glance before clearing his throat. you cant help, but notice the small tint of a rose color appearing on his cheeks. “nothing really. i just seem to feel a bit fatigued i suppose. dont worry.” he reassured while tucking a piece of hair behind his left ear. he lied to you in order to get you to stop worrying so much about him. he wasn’t known for being so expressive, so whenever he was, something big must’ve happened. you cared for albedo even if you guys weren’t so close, he was a really really good friend. if he was upset, you’d help him no matter what. you just wished he’d rely on you a bit more.. maybe then you could finally dive in deeper into your relationship. ‘w-wait what?.. why are you thinking like that y/n-‘ you mindfully ask yourself while your heart suddenly raced at the thought of albedo like that. your face grew hot for a moment and you looked away to regain composure before he’d notice. then, you took a quick moment to admire him, unaware at actually how long you were staring as you figured you were taking a “quick moment”.

“is something on my face?” he speaks up against the awkward silence making you flustered once again from being caught. “oh no! uh.. dont worry. its just that-“ you glance away, fumbling with your thumbs as you tried to gather the right words to use as an excuse. “you kinda look dumb when you focus.” you reply causing albedo to raise a brow in surprise. “oh? how so?” he gives a small smug smile at the sudden change in the mood of the atmosphere.

you smirk and give him a stupid expression which of that was just an exaggerated expression meant to copy albedo’s. “like this-“ you mumble, pointing your index finger at your face. you could see him physically torn between hella confused and nearly breaking down in a laughing fit. “looks dumb right. at least youre self aware, pretty boy.” this gives albedo a much more smug expression, his ego obviously boosting by the second. “if im so ugly, why nickname me pretty boy?” you hum and lean your head against your right hand. your left hand waves in the air as you reply casually, “well maybe im lying, maybe im not. anyway, im surprised youre more focused in actually socializing with me rather than your lovely science homework.” he looks down to his paper that actually had a small scribbled doodle in the top right corner next to his name. you look down to it and decided to steal the pencil out of albedo’s hands to draw your own little doodle. you knew he wouldnt keep this as the paper would need to get taken by his teacher, but it wouldnt hurt to draw something. a small yet neatly drawn bunny appeared on his paper right next to his own doodle of an extremely detailed turtle. he parted his lips in surprise at your drawing efforts, tilting his head in suspicion of your skills. “you used to draw?” he asks causing you to nod your head in reply. “‘m not in art class for nothing dummy. i found art to be interesting since i grew up just enjoying it.” the real reason you were so interested in it was because of calx. your old childhood best friend who used to play out in your yard, helping you draw with chalk on your sidewalk and driveway. “a friend got me into it actually! i used to play outside as a kid and find him tracing shapes and animals in his driveway. so i joined him and he taught me how to draw despite being very young.” this causes albedo to blush once more. he knew of your friend but didnt want to expose it at all just yet. “interesting. how long have you taken classes for it? or did you just decide to take it this year since it reminded you of your old friend?” he leaned back, letting his arms cross over his chest while leaning his head back against the head of the chair.

“i actually took classes ever since that day. drawing is fun and its an extremely fun activity to help with stress and focusing for me. even if i had never met my childhood friend, id definitely be drawing no matter what.” you truthfully answer, a small smile growing in your face as you stared out the classroom window with a nostalgic expression. “i see. thats a good way of thinking about it. its a good profit as well if youre super into it and interested in making money for your hobby. this school is an excellent choice for a top performance / arts school.” he explained, lolling his head to the side tiredly. “mhm.. well. may i ask exactly what got you into science and drawing?” you look over to him and tilt your head to observe the conflicted expression that appeared on your friend’s face. “well, its a complicated subject to understand for people. but my.. family was proud of my talents as a birth prodigy and decided to let me take pride in it. i didnt have much of a fun childhood like most kids. i was more focused on my artwork and studies as a kid. im not mad, really, im grateful i can have such a good future for my talents and efforts that my family put into letting me get this far. but-“

“but a part of you longs for a normal childhood.” you finish causing albedo to blink at you in surprise. “how’d you k-“ “you know, you seem a lot like my old friend. of course he was a bit more childish since he was a kid, but you two have a similar thought process.” he was lucky to see that you couldn’t notice the surprised expression fade on his face along with the beads of sweat forming on his head. “i see. is that a good thing?” he managed to reply casually, leaning back up to hear you more clearly.

“its an extremely good thing. i miss him. i hope he’s doing well in society now even if we’ll never meet again. he actually was enrolled in this very school but it’s been so long and i haven’t heard anything else of him.” your smile doesn’t leave your face. albedo can tell how much joy your old friend brings you and a piece of him feels envy yet he felt flattered. others may ask, why? you would possibly never even know your old friend was actually right in front of you. too many hints were obvious, but you lacked the reason to connect both calx and albedo together. even if that was the case, it didn’t matter so much. that’s that, you found him again. “what will you do if you find him?” he asked, curious on your thoughts of the end of your goal. “nothing. i’d just be glad i found him again. my efforts would be made worth it!” you explain with a proud smile on your face, your heart beating quickly at the thought.

the sudden noise makes you jump in your seat. has it really been that long? oh well. “i’ll see you again mr. chief alchemist.” you tell albedo as you got up and packed the things you had took with you. “i had fun talking and make sure you actually get your homework done. you’re scaring me with how interested you are in conversing with me!” you wave after gently flicking his shoulder. you head out of the class, apologizing to the people you had accidentally bumped into on the way out.

albedo couldn’t help the smile that was brought on his face for the next 10 minutes. hopefully, he’ll get to talk to you tomorrow like that again.

xiao is albedo’s closest friend aside from aether. the only way xiao and albedo met was since albedo took interest in him. his way of thinking, looks, and family tree was interesting to albedo. they had many many interests together and just enjoyed each other’s company. he lacks emotions a bit like albedo, but he truly could care less. he feels a bit flattered that albedo took an interest in him and was grateful he could have someone so close to him that truly understood him besides kazuha ( his other closest friend ).

before you knew it, you landed on top of the sign with a hand to your head. your nose scrunched in pain as you used your free hand to push you up, only to quietly gasp in pain. you looked down to your wrist and sat up with your opposite hand. you slowly forced it back to a limp wrist and winced again at the soreness.

“‘that’s what you get’” scaramouche mocked behind you, a familiar sickening laugh following after. “you crack me up. get up, i wont tolerate childish actions. we’re going back.” he instantly changed his expression although you couldn’t see as you were faced the opposite way.

you slowly stood up and ignored anything else he had to say, focusing on how to stand up on the seriously slippery floor. a hand still on your wrist to protect it from any other danger.

as expected, you tripped again from moving a bit too harshly to the left. you reached out your hand and gripped onto your boss’s hand. on instinct, as he didn’t want to fall, he gripped your own and pulled you close. for once, you got to see a look of sudden surprise on his face before he covered it with a glare although he had slightly pink cheeks as he noticed how close your faces were after he pulled you close.

“you’re such a klutz, i swear. god, get your shit, let’s go. i’m not wasting anymore time.” he covered up and pushed you off him gently. you slowly nodded your head, slightly stunned at the fact he showed emotion other than cockiness, anger, and irritation.

you picked up your notebook, fixing the crumbled papers before shutting it slowly. then, you followed after him to avoid anymore degrading words from him. “guess you’re not such a angry short man after all. why don’t you show emotion at all, you’d finally be liked then.”

“shut up!”
