Zidane couldn’t help it. He smirked as he noticed the flush that bloomed on Garnet’s cheeks, and the dreamy expression of happiness that also graced her face. Garnet was looking particularly beautiful today, with the sunlight in her hair, and dark eyes dancing.

“What’s wrong, milady?” Zidane teased. “Wanted to go on longer?”

“You haven’t had enough?”

She should have expected this from the start. He was eyeing her from across the room far longer than she would have liked. Garnet should have trusted in her instincts and left. Instead, her lips were now locked with Zidane’s for a good long couple of seconds before he’d pull away from her, leaving Garnet emitting somewhat of a whimper as if to question Zidane why he had stopped.

Her face eventually became red, causing her to turn her back to the thief and protest his actions by a huff.

Such was the likes of Garnet.

{ I just love Zidane so much. From the moment I started FFIX he came into my heart very quickly and was instantly one of my faves. He’s also just a layered character that has so much depth to him. Also I relate to him on several levels and it’s always fun writing a cheerful muse especially when I’m not as cheerful lmao }

{ I think in general I just really hate how people make Zidane really...moe and submissive if that makes any sense? Especially with gay ships they tend to infantize him a lot. Please, Zidane is a seasoned flirt and not a blushing virgin or someone who would really just...sit quietly back and let people harass him. It’s pretty annoying tb h. Or people treating Zidane as if he was happy and cute and nothing else and ignoring all of his emotional problems. He’s a character with a lot of depth and simplifying him doesn’t make me a happy camper. }
