Today is the last day the Spring Garden Road Memorial Library will be open (until 5 pm.) The day is bittersweet for me because although I am so excited for the replacement, which will be a glorious new structure that will better meet the needs of a downtown as unique and dynamic as...

This is amazing and beautiful. You would love to have it on your wall. Trust me!

So I made this 12” X 18” six-layer screenprint on heavy archival paper in an edition of 60 for a print exchange that was part of the Canadian Mayworks Festival this year, and I’m selling a few of the nicer ones that are left. This is my third ever project with screenprinting on paper. I’m trying to raise enough money to get down to BC in the middle of the summer for a folk punk fest that I want to go shoot (I’m a photographer) as well as to see a whole gang of friends I haven’t seen in a very long time. Anyways, even if you don’t want to buy one, if you share it, someone might!!

Books smell. Musty and, and rich. The knowledge gained from a computer, is, uh, it… it has no, no texture, no, no context.

Here is a sketch comic I made called Ducks, in five parts.
Part One
Part Two
Part Three
Part Four
Part Five
Ducks is about part of my time working at a mining site in Fort McMurray, the events are from 2008. It is a complicated place, it is not the same for all, and these are only my own experiences there. It is a sketch because I want to test how I would tell these stories, and how I feel about sharing them. A larger work gets talked about from time to time. It is not a place I could describe in one or two stories. Ducks is about a lot of things, and among these, it is about environmental destruction in an environment that includes humans. Thank you for taking the time to read it.
