Today I've completed a 1000~day language learning streak on Duolingo and I'm celebrating! 🎉
I've uninstalled the app and am taking a few days' break. On Monday I will install another language app that supports our local library system ~ Mango. I have friends who use it, enjoy it, recommend it highly. I look forward to continuing my language studies with Mango. 🌻

🪅 Our Imaginations are essential to our healing. They are a unique part of each of us. When we take time to engage our Imagination in processing our journey of learning about our world through our senses, we grow in self-trust and confidence. Pausing to give our bodies time to rest, observe, connect, renew, and regenerate, time for our parasympathetic nervous system to do the work of calming us and repairing our cells, we return to our healing journey. We learn more about ourselves and strengthen our inner compass. 🪅 My most recent Patreon post offers some prompts for walking the labyrinth path and journaling as a means of paying attention to the powerful & wise messages our bodies have for us.

Sunflowers are my favorite flowers! Everyone who knows me knows that. ~:D Sunflowers are the summer flowers that bring me the most joy and I look forward to seeing them blossom every year! I was inspired this week to write an essay about the lessons and inspirations I've learned from Sunflowers over the years.
It's free to read, yet a coffee or two would be awesome support for my writing! Thank you!

Greetings, Friends!
I hope you've been having a fantastic Summer here in the northern hemisphere and a fantastic Winter if you live in the southern hemisphere!
What is your favorite aspect of the season you're in? I love the longer days of summer, wearing light clothing and slip-on shoes, walking barefoot on the labyrinth path, visiting with friends more and spending time creating! It's been a summer of poetry, drawing, painting, and 3D crafts so far.
The photo above is a portal to bring you to my Ko-Fi page, where I offer Memberships for all of you who love to receive colorful, uplifting mail in your inbox! Below is a photo of a magnet I painted for a friend and a haiku I composed for her.

Dear Friends,
It's a warm, misty summer's day. Today is a writing day for me. Lots of different things to write about each season and I'm loving the colors of my world in Summer! I've been painting magnets and writing haiku for friends. That's been my summer project. My son is home from the wildlife conservation education program he just spent the last 6 weeks engaged in, diving deep into wilderness and identfying different species' activities, etc. Had a great time and wants to return! I'm glad to have him here with me for the next 2 months. Below is a link to a coupon to apply in my Etsy shop, "Walk, Love, Sparkle." Enjoy! Let me know in the comments what captured your attention, sparked your imagination, something you fancied. Thank you so much for your support!

I wrote my friend Maria a poem as a gift for her birthday. When I handed her the scrolled paper with the poem on it, puttled together with ribbon, she gave me a hug. I'm so glad she loves her poem!
The photo above features 2 small ceramic pieces Maria made. She gave me a tub of them to place along the labyrinth path in our cohousing community. I placed 2 together in each place, so they become chimes when there's a breeze, making a tinkly sound that brings joy to walkers. ~:0)
I love writing poems, and would love to write a poem for any occasion for you!

Happy World Labyrinth Day!
My Pinterest board hosts links for a bunch of organizations that list labyrinth walks happening today, inculding the Worldwide Labyrinth Locator for finding a labyrinth near you to walk at 1pm, your time. Join many fellow humans (and perhaps critters, too) who are walking the labyrinth path at the same time, creating a rolling wave of peace throughout the day!

Happy May Day!
In honor of World Labyrinth Day coming up on Saturday, May 3rd, I just completed a little project ~ gluing yarn on the labyrinth paths I created on squares cut from paper bags! I drew the labyrinths a while ago, and I've been intending to add the yarn. So glad I finally did it! I also added prompts, so they double as meditative tools and journaling/writing prompts.
I'll be making more soon with new prompts, to freshen the supply available for my co-housing community and to bring to my UU church for giving away to those who attend our services.
*If you are moved to support my work on the labyrinth path via my Ko-Fi page (link below), thank you! I will send you a yarn-adorned, portable, paper bag labyrinth path with a prompt written on it. Leave me a note with a clue as to what type of prompt would serve you best....or trust the Universe to guide me. ~:0)
Here's a bonus journal/writing prompt for you! ~:0)

I feel most alive, when...
Love,

Have you ever walked a labyrinth? If not, I invite you give it a try. If you have one near you, that's great! If you don't know where to find a labyrinth, look through the "Labyrinth Locator" to discover one. It's a type of walking meditation on a path that spirals in toward a center, then back out again. It's a good way to spend time with yourself, check in with yourself, listen to what your heart and intuition have to say to you.
This past Sunday, 3/30, I was invited to share about my 18+ ~ years walking labyrinths as a Spiritual Practice at our weekly UU church service. I shared the pulpit with several other people who also shared about their spiritual practices. Writing this piece was quite fun, so I published it as a Substack post. If you give it a read, my words might give you a clearer picture of how labyrinths can be approached to support you where you are in this moment.
