i haven't had time/energy to draw of my own volition. and when i do i've been working on the same project (long comic) so it's taking me a while. i don't have anything interesting to post at the moment and i feel bad for dipping so, i just don't post 💀 I am also out of my meds. that's probably not great.

in other news my birthday is in a week or so (13th) and i'm happy to have people flying into see me. i know that this means i am loved, logically, but it's doesn't feel logical that people would do that for me. very very strange.

anyways ill try to be updating my Meet The Artist in honour for my birthday. so hopefully look out for that.

hi link !!! oh man, i had to think about it for a bit, and even though it's long, it has to be this one i think.

my Ex and I greened out from edibles (first time) and made me call 911 because she thought she was dying (i told her we just need to ride it out and sleep). Fast forward, at the hospital i became extremely nauseous extremely quickly. The hospital staff asked me about my testosterone 5 times and my sex organs thrice, and took 2 hours to administer anti-nausea meds. The very mean, borderline transphobic nurse gives me my anti nausea meds. I open my mouth. I feel it; it's coming. I have a movie-style flashback of all of the shit i've taken from this nurse while i'm high as balls. I center myself. I aim, carefully, meditaledty. I throw up on the nurse. She held a bag up to me. I aim HARDER. Mission success. She does not come back. Then, we tried to walk home from the hospital to our house, barefooted. We gave up, went back, and had them call a taxi.

focused on social isolation/ostracization experienced by those with ASD, but through the lens of empathizing/sympathizing with non-human things found in environments that do not suit them. > TLDR: things that make me go "he's so me fr" because they are very Autism 2 me, smile

My process/the "how" & more elaboration below the cut. -‣

These were compiled mostly from my own images, but some were of Jayford's kindly contributions (thank you, Jayford). I added multiple adjustment layers for the unique colour palette(s), and masks where necessary. Then, I additionally painted over some, wherever I had the time before my project's due date lol. Some works had to be extended or had to have whole contents edited out— but no GenAI was used. I used Content Aware tools and Healing Brush, or otherwise just painted things in/out. I use these for time's sake; if this were not on a strict due date, I would have avoided Content Aware entirely because of its integration with Firefly (PS). I had been keeping an album of these images that I empathize with since like 4th grade, and it felt like these objects knew what autism felt like, so I did my project with as many of those images as I could. Just like for the other one, I'll have prints of these soon, sometime next week. At which point I'll put these in their actual order/composition.

tldr → a critique on "sex" being established as "real"— despite it being as ambiguous and socially constructed as the much more digestible idea of "gender". assigned at birth is a useless term. your sex is what you are now. chromosomes, genitals, physicalities, etc. are not enough to define your "sex". i.e.: youre a woman with a penis, you were a woman at birth as much as a "cis" woman would be. a man with a vagina is a man at birth. nonbinary at birth. you get the point
