As much as I love drawing doodles and simplified figures, I missed doing full illustrations, feels like it's been a while.

Trojans!! Can't believe I hadn't drawn them fully yet... So, here's my take for the four of them, I guess.

For those who wondered - yes I've read tsc and tgr, obviously (i've been following both of the releases like a famished animal ready to pounce). I love these guys' dynamic and domesticity so much. I wanna be their friend.

~DAVID WYMACK APPRECIATION POST~

I fucking love Wymack as a character, because while we don't get to see the extent of what happened in his past, we can we how it shaped him. And though we can tell that it probably wasn't pleasant, it inspired him to put this wretched team of hopeless rejects together when nobody else had any faith in it (or in them) at all.

He isn't a pushover, he knows that the Foxes would eat him alive. But he knows they need for someone to have faith in them, and that is exactly what he offers.

And through all the mess including like two to three mafia families and god-knows-what, he doesn't give up that faith. And through everything that happens, he sticks to his principles, offering 'second, third, fourth, and fifth chances, or however many they need'. And I can't get over it. I can't begin to understand this capacity for kindness. It isn't something we should gloss over. He rarely gets acknowleged by the Foxes themselves. (Especially at the beginning.) He never even shows that he's tired, or scared... he is there for everybody else. he is a father to all of them, their shoulder. He refuses to take any credit for it. Nobody in the exy world takes him seriously. They call him an idealist, naive, attention-seeking, a fool...

I'm ready to worship him like a saint.

as much as we all want jeremy to use the phrase to get jean to whisk him away from his abusive family, imagine if he can’t. jeremy just can’t remember. and he calls jean, sounding so broken and defeated. so tired. crying.

“I’m sorry I forgot. I’ll let you yell at me later for it, I promise. But please— can you please come get me?”

and somehow jeremy’s broken plea is so much harder to hear than the phrase would’ve been.

and of course jean isn’t going to yell at him. forgotten phrases or not, he’s going to get jeremy the fuck out of there. no question.

I imagine book 1 Andrew waking up after a bad night of rolling around, nightmares, feeling ghost hands over his skin, and all the comfort he gets is (even grumpier) Kevin waiting for him in the kitchen with his next dose. Like no wonder he hated his meds. (It must've felt like an insult to all he had overcome. (is my speculation))

Also Matt's 'I don't want to be here when Andrew's between doses.' Andrew wants the others to be afraid of him, because it's the easiest way, perhaps the only one he knows, to ensure they will always respect his boundaries and keep a distance. And then there comes Neil who's like: I've seen so much worse in my life than one "psychotic midget" idgaf, but he still respects those boundaries, he still doesn't cross any lines. And perhaps it gives Andrew a little bit of hope that he can still be respected without being feared. (is how I interpret it atm)
