This is officially my least favourite song now.

Not because it is a bad song but because it is the song that automatically plays in my car, even when I don’t want it to.

I can’t see a setting to stop auto play in my phone or car.

So say I’m watching a YouTube or Netflix in my car, it kept trying to play this song instead.

The only way I think I could hate a song more is if I set it as my alarm to wake up to.

Vinyl - is it worth it

I was just looking at the new sabaton album and notice you can buy it as vinyl, like a lot of bands I listen to.

I was wondering is the sound quality worth the hassle compared to an mp3 file from iTunes or Spotify?

Would the vinyl record essentially be an mp3 file slapped onto a record?

Is it worth the $300-1000 dollars for the equipment like the player, headphones etc

Did they do the same in Witcher 1? Posh woman 1 second then sounds like she has a guy that supplies quality dog meat for $1/kg the next sentence.

I think my favourite fact about the elder scrolls oblivion is that the reason the voice acting sounds soooooo disjointed is because the VA’s were given their lines in alphabetical order.

Not by quest.

Not by character.

Awesome, really giving me hope and faith in this game.

Go to attempt the beta for fallout and I have to re-download 47GB which will take 7 hours.

That’s what I don’t get about fallout, I seem to hear bits and pieces.

So it’s online? And human Npcs don’t exist? Replaced by real people?

So what happens in 4 months or 2 years when the player base drops off? Or people in the middle of no where who can’t or shouldn’t play with Americans or Europeans because of a 300 ping?

I should really google this. But from the scraps of information so far it sounds like fallout will be an empty wasteland and not in the good way.

Or am I just way off with what I have understood about this game?

So I played around 2 hours of the 76 beta and I have to say that I’m impressed. First I’ll start with the bad. There where frame rate issues and stuttering but no were compared to what we saw at the 76 event a few weeks ago. Also some of the AI seem a bit dumb and just right right at you or make little attempt to be smart. I do not like the level lock on certain items and weapons but I can understand it coming from a multiplayer point of view.

What I did love about 76 that I haven’t really felt from the franchise is a sense of accomplishment everytime I level up. It’s hard to explain why this is but with the addition of the perk cards and choosing a special to upgrade you really feel like you character is learning and getting stronger. The quests so far have been ok but I can see them getting better. The biggest gripe I have with the game is the non-existent human NPCS. But time will tell and can’t wait for the next time slot

What system did you play on? Cause I was on pc and movement felt atleast on par with other battlefield games but normally it felt smoother. Especially when prone.

The gun play for me felt much like bf1 did in the beginning, using basic guns that aren’t all that good. I am assuming later once I can unlock other guns and give them a good go I can find ones that fit my play style.

I didn’t really notice anything slow about actions. Do you mean reloads etc?

Also what is this force revive you talk about? From what I gathered medics can revive people like normal, but anyone can revive squadmates. Right?

You can hold on for a revive or choose to die faster. Left and right mouse buttons.

Spawn time seems a matter of seconds longer than bf1 I think. You couldn’t respawn instantly in bf1.

And team mates always have ignored you. I have had medics using my corpse as cover rather than revive me. So nothing new there.

So I am not sure what you mean by forced revive.

So after playing some of the BFV beta I really don’t get all the anger and crying over BFV.

Like so far it seems just like BF1 just better, more fluid movements for example. Actually being able to join the same server as a squad which never seemed to work in BF1.

So it seems like battlefield but better.

But are people really going to skip this game just because they included female characters? Or other optional and cosmetic options? Seems like a fairly minor issue to get in the way of what looks to be one of the better battlefield games since battlefield 2.

Or is there more to it than just the “women in a world war two game” issue?

Funny old EA

Anyone else having the same issue.

I was actually kicked because of my ping which hasn’t happened since I was trying to play on a wifi signal that was like dial up.

A quest called "Gift From The Gods" involving a magic sundial and meteorite and some how these aren't the weirdest parts.

Who is that guy? Who is that robot looking anime thing? Where did they come from? Where did they go? Where did they come from, Cotton-Eye Joe?

Am I meant to know who they are? Are they explained later in a quest?

I have a pretty high bar for Assassin Creed's ancient aliens first civilisation nonsense but this just seems way out there.

Odd request-artist with synesthesia

Hey

Looking for an artist who I believe has synesthesia, they had a method of painting a night sky which involved mixing paint in a pot and pouring it over a canvas.

It seemed simple but effective.

I am mainly after details on this technique. How does the paint not just mix together and become a brown/black mess. I am sure the video mentioned lighter colours come to the top, but that’s not how paint works is it?

So any help finding this artist or details on this technique would be appreciated.

Well this weeks Far Cry challenge is stupid easy.

Chuck some bait, kill a wolf, get 2 bait and the quest item. Rinse and repeat. The only challenge for me was finding the correct spot. For some reason (did anyone else read this?) I thought the challenge was to use throwing knives on Jacob's people. But it was to use arrows on wolves.

Anyway, here is a quick clip of where and how I did this challenge in case anyone else gets confused or is just stupid like me. I have no idea why I thought throwing knives were involved.

Also since the reward is a shovel launcher, why wasn't the challenge to kill 10 wolves with a shovel? So obvious, right?
