Cynder's curse broken

I always interpreted Cynder as being literally mind-controlled by Malefor, that what Gaul did to her was making her into a vessel of sorts for him to use to break out of his prison. In this piece, her manacles and collar were anchoring the spell, and broke when Spyro freed her.

Breeze the (ghost) Cheetah

This came into my brain when looking at sonic memes, his title of 'fastest thing alive' made me think of what a character who is the fastest thing *dead* could be. So Breeze the (ghost) Cheetah is the result of that.

The poorly drawn buildings and cloud are just to show that she's transparent.

How'd she die? She doesn't know, and maybe that's the unfinished business that's keeping her here.

Makin a concept of what Spirit Tracks Link could be if he was in Linked Universe

(drawn on my phone so he's a bit rough)

The Hero of Spirits, Loco, Engie or Steam

As an engineer and a mechanic he has the shortest hair of all the Links, to avoid it getting caught in machinery. He likes keeping his whirlwind close, because it's useful for stoking his engine. He also wears his snake whip around his neck, because it's useful for grabbing things at a distance and pulling levers and such, and because it's stylish.

He gets steel toed boots because workplace safety is Important, everyone needs to wear their PPE. He is incensed by the lack of handrails in dungeons. He's generally cheerful, but is a perfectionist when it comes to his projects. This Link is good at math!

He has the compass of light on his glove. In Spirit Tracks, this item locates and opens the portal to the realm where you fight the demon train. Thus I think it'd be interesting if in a LU scenario it could locate the dimension portals. Or perhaps make other kinds of portals? Still thinking about that.

He gets to keep the lokomo sword

Makin a concept of Link from A Link Between worlds/Tri Force Heroes separate from Legend for Linked Universe.

My biggest gripe with Linked Universe (other than the goobers from spirit tracks not being included (yet?)) is that the Hero of Legend cannibalized Link from ALBW. I suppose I just feel like there's enough differences between the two (especially with Tri Force Heroes in mind) that they could have been separate, and some interesting things could have been explored. This post however, is not intended to bash the original creator, who obviously has a great deal of love for the series, and some kind of reason for this decision. It is to explore what I would have done if I could drop ALBW/TFH Link in there.

Please forgive any artistry mistakes, I am still trying to get Krita to cooperate with me.

Nickname: I've been calling this guy the Hero of Lorule in my head, but also Sketch or Doodle. He is probably the most reckless of the Links (see: charging Yuga immediately, even after seeing the captain of the guard being painting'd.) He went to Hytopia later because he was restless. (if any viewers of this post feel interested, please include other personality ideas)

Artist notes by number (sorry they're hard to see)

Doppels. These creepy guys get glossed over a lot, but basically they're there if you're like me and don't have anyone to play multiplayer with in TFH. They are described as dolls that Link can control by inhabiting them with his soul, thus making it possible to play TFH solo (to debatable success). For this design, the doppels are tiny until they need to be used, at which they expand to Sketch's size. If he expends a lot of energy, he can control them and his own body all at once, but typically its just one at a time.

Madame Couture's medal. You get a lot of outfits in TFH, and they're very useful. Sketch cut a deal with Madame Couture to make him this magic medal to store his outfits in. Wild isn't the only one with a wardrobe on command.

Ravio's medal. The presence of Quick Equip, and the lack of a pouch on Sketch's model made me think that it would be fun to have his items be stored and summoned from a lil medal. The energy meter in game reflects a cooldown between summons

Ravio's hood and cloak. I like to headcanon that Ravio gave Sketch his cloak as a parting gift, something to remember him by even as Lorule was falling apart. It is enchanted to change form based on the wearer's need, and can grow and shrink, with the band able to become a scarf.

Titan's mitt. Not much to say about it, other than its included in the design. Check the wiki if you want to know more.

Sheer use and magic exposure to the bracelet that contained Yuga's painting curse let a mark on Sketch's wrist, and he no longer needs the bracelet to fuse into walls.

Extra. I am so sorry, I forgot to number this one, but to the left of the doppels is the golden bee medal that makes bees fight for you.

How to add Spirit Tracks to Linked Universe

This came about from a conversation with a friend on discord. The image was so funny I had to draw it.

a way the sheikah towers could have been implemented in totk: put a chasm where every tower was, and have the remains of the towers be your source of a map in the depths (lightroots still producing the light though). That way you can still have the new SkyView towers without destroying the previous ones, which why would you? They're really useful. It would also be a good tactical move on ganondorf's part, because getting rid of the towers gets rid of the advanced map, and a way to make him more menacing than he is

more totk divine beast ideas

I'm back on my bs about what could have been.

Consider: the divine beasts being necessary to get to the totk dungeons.

Vah Medoh: imagine having to fly on this huge robot bird and *chase down* the sky ships, with the storm wind ark actually moving around the map with its fleet. You could say that for safety purposes that the weapons systems were removed so you could still have a boss fight

Vah Rudania: just make it so death mountain is erupting near constantly, so you need to have it bring you down through the volcano to the fire temple.

Vah Nabooris: have the sand shroud get more and more thick and impassible closer to the lightning temple, so the beeg camel needs to bring you there, since it is tall enough to reach over the sand.

Vah Ruta: I thought of two options for this one, number one being it uses its trunk that produces water to shoot you and sidon up to wellspring island OR, hear me out, complete water temple overhaul.

Put the water temple in the ocean. Have sludge be affecting a new village of ocean zora (say they came up to the surface once the calamity fell) and that yona is from this village, and went to zora's domain to ask for help. Use Ruta as a submarine, that takes you to an Atlantis style underwater city (maybe a new area to explore, like a depths offshoot, or just the dungeon) sidon, since in my experience he was sorta useless in the muctorok fight, have him pilot Ruta and blast the boss with water once you make an opening. Also make muctorok a sludge sea serpent with the little guy as the core.

Master cycle zero: mineru possesses the bike since her construct is compromised, and is it as your companion while you get to the spirit temple/complete the spirit temple and take back the seized construct. (Consider: its horn as a beam emitter)

a concept that I don't know if it's genius or insane: the zonai created the oocca as livestock (sky chickens) but when the zonai went extinct , the oocca slowly evolved to be intelligent and took over the sky cities. This is why TP's city in the sky is in such disrepair. The oocca can't fix it with their lack of hands, and they never built it. It also explains what shad says about the oocca being 'gods that may have created hylians' being similar to what Zelda says about the zonai, shad is just lacking information.

little wind waker au thing haha

Recently played through Wind Waker HD, and I thought to myself, that in a universe slightly to the left, it could have been a scale from Valoo that you use for gliding and such instead of the deku leaf. (Link not being a rito means gliding and flapping gusts is what he's limited to) You even did complete the trial of going through the cavern and meeting Valoo, and even saved him too! So here I have drawn our boi toon link with some wings. Colored based on the crimson loftwing cuz that felt right :) Top left is Link in a modified tunic so he doesn't rip his sleeves every time he wants to glide. Top right is the scale, which in this hypothetical universe is what you'd equip to use the wings.

Recently been playing through the reignited trilogy, and was enjoying the cute art in the credits when I noticed in the art of Spyro and Thor , the broken sculpture at Spyro's feet.

i think I read somewhere that the ending of wotw was originally going to be the ending of blind forest, but then the devs realized they could have a moment between mothers for Naru and Kuro, and went for that instead.

Does anyone know if this is true/have a source for this?
