Cynder's curse broken

I always interpreted Cynder as being literally mind-controlled by Malefor, that what Gaul did to her was making her into a vessel of sorts for him to use to break out of his prison. In this piece, her manacles and collar were anchoring the spell, and broke when Spyro freed her.

Guys, I'm not sure if anyone else knows about this but it turns out that our beloved Red Huntress shares the same voice actress as Cynder from The Legend of Spyro: A New Beginning! I just rewatched it recently on YouTube and I knew I recognized her voice from somewhere! Cree Summer has voiced a lot of great characters after all!

It sort of makes me want to draw a dragon Valerie! Like can you imagine if Danny had given the Amulet of Aragon to her instead of Paulina? I'm seriously imaging a whole new AU where Valerie was the pack leader of the popular girls instead and Paulina ended up dealing with one too many ghost encounters that finally got her fed up with them or its an excuse to see the ghost boy more often lolz. Just a thought!

There's always been a part of me that just wants to sit down and rewrite Legend of Spyro in a way that it doesn't pull so much from the Lord of the Rings, and make it less basic on the world and it's settings. I always felt the world in Legend of Spyro suffered from a lack of world-building, and it was one of my many pet peeves about it. So one of the major ideas I had planned was to change the beginning of the game from the swamp level (which was a glorified tutorial for the half-baked combat system), and make it more of a place you would have found in the Original trilogy: Athereon. There, it would be an ease in tutorial with the character's reminding Spyro and Rex (whom unlike the Reignited/Original trilogy, would be called Alex due to him not being a thief here) on how to fly or how to fight. Make the player understand who these characters are, as well as give them something more to work with than a Sparx who's quite cowardly.

There's definitely things in this I'd know what to cut (I.E. the long list of Breaths could be truncated, along with the levels that could be smooshed together), but most of these are very definite ramblings of someone who'd know what exactly to fix, and would just need to get off their butt to do that.

First meeting after Convexity.

I imagine it was quite the interesting time while Cynder was adjusting to… y’know, not being evil anymore.

The idea came to me that Cynder was probably terrified out of her mind immediately after Convexity, while Spyro just wanted to help her in her recovery.

The sequel doesn't get any better, and the final game *tries* with a new idea, but it still overrelies on the combat over the platforming to fill out time.

What was the worst video game you have ever played

I think it's already been established I'm quite tolerant, so it takes a lot for a game to be "bad" to me. Sonic 4 episode 1 is pretty bad, but I still was able to get through it. I don't like Sonic Lost World either and thought Mario Kart 8 was lacking. Although, I think possibly the worst one I've tried was The Legend of Spyro: A New Beginning. I think it was the first game I went "no I don't even want this in my collection, I'm selling this disc."

The game wants to be a beat 'em up with no combos and two attacks. I played several hours, got to the second world in the game and just realized...this was it. This was the entire game. It was just going to be make a few jumps and fight a bunch of enemies ad nauseam. It wasn't going to get better or unlock new combat/platforming mechanics. I thought Spyro was a platformer and had no idea the Legend games were different.

So yeah, while I have not great games I haven't finished, (sorry Generations 3DS) this one takes the cake.
