we need to stop equating lack of independence with lack of maturity. people that live with their parents or have a caregiver or don't work or need more support than others aren't inherently immature. there's lots of reasons why people would be in this situation, even outside of disability (plenty of cultures out there expect people to live with their parents past what we consider the beginning of adulthood), and regardless of the reason we deserve support and community through what is already likely to be an isolating experience. don't make it worse for us

How long do you think it took Crystal to figure out that Edwin does the exact same thing Charles does, hiding his pain under his persona, just with verbal aggression and emotional withdrawal and laser-focus on cases, instead of smiles? Do you think she figured it out when he had the minor meltdown about how their cases have to matter because his and Charles’s didn’t? (I don’t think so, to be honest, based on how she talks to him about Charles later, as though the idea of concealing pain must be foreign to him, as though he’s oblivious.)

Do you think it was sometime later in Port Townsend? Or do you think it took months? An absolutely awful case that left both Charles and Edwin wrecked, or at least surely it must have, even as emotionless as Edwin tends to be, but when they get back to the office, at the exact same moment Charles puts on a smile and Edwin’s face goes blank with an overlay of judgmental. And it finally clicks. Crystal finally realizes it’s the exact same thing. They’re putting on the same mask just painted different colors.

And Charles assures her that he’s totally fine, aces even, and Edwin snidely points out that he has been through worse - her apparent concern is a reflection of her inexperience. And she remembers how they both looked, how Edwin looked, just a few minutes before, before they had time to hide. And she was initially planning to yell at Edwin to take care of Charles, but now she wants to scream at them both. I can’t take care of you, the way you need, you have to do it for each other, so just take off the damn masks and let yourselves.

But instead she just leaves. Because maybe, at least, they’ve grown enough that they can take off the masks around each other. So maybe the best thing she can do for them is stop looking and let them.

When Danny was told Vlad was coming over, he didn't care, much. After all, being told that he's lost all romantic interest in his mother, is trying to keep thoughts of murdering his father to just thoughts, and genuinely trying to be better than he was before.

Danny decided to give him at least a portion of leeway. You know, to see if he's holding up to his word.

But this, this is not it.

He dragged Vlad out of the room, shooting out an excuse that he just needed Vlad's help with something and just wanted to talk for a bit. Then brought him down to his level-via pulling on his collar- with a scowl.

"You trade my mother for that thing!?"

The thing in question, was some British guy by the name of John Constantine. Who smelled like smoke, alcohol and genuinely seemed to be questioning how exactly he ended up in this situation.

Vlad, to Danny's displeasure and increasing horror.

Why did it seem that when Vlad turned good his intelligence just seemed to take a nosedive. Enough so that he settled for that and he is happy he isn't going after his mom but, like.

C'mon dude.

Inspired by my friend and I discussing how she's been summoned 4 times and I never have.

Thought for sure Jinx was gonna kill Vi's new enforcer buddies. I thought it would have paralleled her killing Mylo and Claggor, only this time it would be on purpose rather than accidental. This time she'd be remorseless rather than guilt-ridden and apologetic. Imagine if the show had spent time fleshing out the bond between Vi and her new squad. Shown them spending time together and training together. Shown how well she works with Maddie, Steb, and Loris, the latter reminding her so much of Vander. Then they go hunt Jinx together. And Jinx kills them one by one. Mylo, Claggor, and Vander dead again at Vi's feet. Only now there's no Powder crying and saying it was an accident and begging Vi not to leave her. Now Vi calling her "Jinx" again wouldn't just be an outburst she wishes she could take back. She'd 100% mean it this time. 

It would have made Vi's murderous rage towards her sister make way more sense. The show makes it seem like the killing of the Council is what made Vi turn from "Powder, it's okay, we'll be okay" to "Powder is gone, let's murder Jinx." And that's just not a believable enough reason for me. Jinx was given plenty of complex well-written reasons to hate Vi, but Vi wasn't really given many personal reasons to hate Jinx. If Jinx had killed those Vi had come to care for, I'd fully understand her turning on Jinx and wanting to beat her to death, just like Ekko. I just wish they put just as much effort into writing one half of the sister rivalry as the other, considering it was supposed to be the main plot of the show.
