Hi everyone! I hope everyone is doing well. I have added a new interaction to the brawling mod. You can find it in the brawling Pie menu under the Mean category.

1.3 Update Description:

The new interaction will be called a ground throw; a new brawling interaction that could be played more as a self-interaction,

First of all, for the interaction to appear, your sim should at least have three levels of fitness skill or higher.

This interaction is a bit different from all the others in the mod. It is a bit more dynamic.I have added to it multiple animation stages that will completely depend on your sim fitness skill

If you decide to perform it against a sim with a low fitness skill ( lower than 4), they will get thrown immediately without managing to fight back.

But if the other sim has more than 4 in fitness, they will fight back, and then it will completely depend on your own sim fitness skill.

The higher your skill, the less likely you will get hit.

If your sims have a higher skill than 5, they will successfully throw the target, But if your sim has a lower fitness level than 5, they will not manage to parry all the punches.

The interaction will still work somewhat as a self-defense interaction; if your sim received some negative buffs from a mean interaction, they will get removed after performing this interaction.

Here's the cast that will be on question answering duty:

Circus Baby: The charismatic clown, unrivalled in her leadership she's the one leading this circus to sucess but to her dismay some members of the circus have a different idea.

Ballora: The gracefull ballerina, invited to take part in the circus from Circus Baby herself. She happens to be the most calmest member of the cast even amongst their crazy antics.

Funtime Foxy: The charming performer, no one knows why she's here nor what he does, but he always has point in keeping the show going while juggling many different acts herself.

Funtime Freddy: The lovable comedian, always love to make the audience laugh with his best friend Bon-Bon along side Bonnet and takes pride in that, He also happens to be the main instigator of all the wacky and crazy shenanigans going on with the circus.

Bon-Bon and Bonnet: The handpuppet twins, despite being twins they are very different. Bon-Bon is the brains of the two, keeping his best friend Ft Freddy in check, he is the determined and sassy twin of the two, While on the other hand Bonnet is the chill twin, always not taking anything super seriously which always ends up with her bickering with her twin brother.

Funtime Chica: The curious photographer, she was also invited to the circus due to the fact that she was Ballora's personal photographer. Always curious about everyone else she ends up digging up some information that the others might want to keep secret.

Lolbit: The mysterious magician, they appeared in the circus one day and has never left since then. Bearing an enigmatic mask on most occasions that no one knows where they got it from, Their magic trics seems to be more real than any good old magician could ever possibly do.

Please keep in mind that there may be some other characters not from the circus that may chime in depending on the question asked.

Some Context for the AU this ask blog takes place in

This ask blog takes place after the events of Security Breach (or a rewritten version of it). Tho the blog is not canon the events that may be mentioned in it are. In this au the animatronics are actors and humans have been replace by animals or elves.

The name of the au is "Animals, Actors and Tragedy".

My bad for not saying this earlier but there will be two different types of answers! #the actors answers (aatau) will be the tag in which the actors will answer out of character while the tag #the funtimes answers (aatau) is the tag where the actors will answer in character.

I have a dog named Lucky! He lost his eye protecting me, and we're best buds. I'm deaf, so I use hearing aids, ASL and I'm pretty good at reading lips. I'm pretty much on-call as a hero 25/7, so that's what I'm usually up to.

More about Tiefling Bard Finley under the cut :D (Finley is an OC of mine that has been made into a Tav for BG3, so technically this is an AU!)

Finley grew up as an urchin outside and around Baldur's Gate. He was, as most tieflings are, treated very poorly growing up and mostly raised himself on the streets. He had big dreams that could never quite be stomped out after he had found a love for music in a music box, and later, a broken lute.

He met another young tiefling named Paisley, a young boy with a particularly strong affinity for fire. With Finley's love for music and storytelling, and Paisley's magical talents, they were able to perform on the streets and do their best to keep themselves alive.... With the odd pick pocketing here and there when necessary.

Later he managed to find work in a brothel. He had hoped for it to be his first real gig as a musician, but was offered better pay for other services that he couldn't rightfully refuse from his current living situation. Only later, when he got to go out and adventure with friends, did he truly get to be the bard he had always wanted to be.

Other fun facts!

Finley does like pink, and mainly wears it to match his skin to look non-threatening. His actual favourite colour is blue.

Since tieflings face a lot of racism and comments about their fiendish nature, Finley greatly dislikes being compared to demons and devils and can sometimes take well-meaning comments a little too seriously.

The markings on his face are partially a birth mark, partially a face tattoo funnily enough. He hasn't had the best influences in friends and partners, and previously dated someone who wanted to practice tattoos with his birthmark. Luckily it's not too bad.

He was born with heterochromia and is actually able to see invisibility without casting any spells.

the pouches on his waist hold spell components and other useful items, he also has a little latch there that holds his flute.

His primary instrument is his lyre, but since it's big and potentially unwieldly at times, he has the flute as a backup. He could also sing to cast his spells, but that can be greatly effected by his condition and emotions.

He's a bard of valor, and isn't opposed to getting down and dirty with the rest of his party. His high Dex allows him to practically tank for the party if needed. And by tank, I mean just not get hit.

He's a Mephistopheles tiefling

His glasses have a loop in the metal arms to wrap around his ear to avoid losing them in combat. It's not fool proof though and still does happen sometimes.

For people who aren't familiar with BG3 tieflings, those ridges on his skin are not body modifications, but actual bumps and ridges underneath his skin that he was born with.

Robin Info/lore:

A fanbot from the SPG universe, created in 1900

Most parts made from copper. The teal parts being oxidized after years of use, the more typically coloured copper parts being frequently replaced because they move a lot and can damage easily

Originally designed as a delivery robot in 1900, long after his siblings, he has wings to fly to delivery destinations and more complex and extensive facial mechanisms because he works in customer service. Ironically he has social anxiety and a fear of heights.

His siblings were not often at the mansion, instead touring and putting on shows, so Robin went a long while having never met them. They made friends with the Walter Workers but still felt very lonely most of the time, wandering the giant mansion alone. He looked up to his siblings greatly, and when they finally came back to the mansion and met him he nervously asked to join the band, they accepted happily.

He’s not trans in the same way that Rabbit was. He was built as a “female” robot (never had any genitals, but was programmed to “act like a woman” and view himself as a woman). But while in the Walter Manor he read magazines and news papers and articles about “transexuals” and “pansy performers” and identified with it, with how they presented themselves. That’s what he wanted to look like. The first time he ever met his siblings Rabbit talked about being trans and she helped him discover himself.

So, I just started Daredevil and I immediately fell in love with Wesley!! I haven't gotten to the point in the show where he dies yet but I know it's coming and how it happens so I made this in preparation for when I get to that point and only then will I start actually using this despite my earlier statement, I am actually gonna be using this now!

I haven't got much else to put here but I am going to try to be as in character as possible. If I fail at that in some ways, I am really sorry. On top of that, he is very sassy at times so if something comes off as mean, please do not take it personally.

I am playing him as a gay man and demisexual, trans or cis is yet to be decided. I fully believe he is in love with Fisk but I am open to him finding other love interests. Having said that, anyone of any orientation, gender, race, ethnicity, etc is welcome here!

He is very detached from his emotions and sometimes doesn't really feel like a human and more like a machine than anything else.

Equestrian Magazine Career: New custom Career for The Sims 4

Hey! I've been working on this project for a while now. Taking my initial idea from my Better Horses & Storytelling Mod, I wanted to add more to horse/equestrian gameplay. So I've been experimenting with S4S and the TDESC Builder to create a few mods to improve this part of the game/pack.

I started with a new skill that could work as a base for various careers (and not only use the riding skill, which in some cases just wouldn't make sense), and also it's base game compatible! Then I started working on this career, without using Mod Constructor because it's basically retired, so I had to start from scratch and experiment a lot.

But here it is! Your sims can now work for an Equestrian Magazine! I thought that it was an interesting concept and something I hadn't seen done in the sims, so I made it myself!

✨ To make it easier for you, the basic info you need to know: you have to download 3 packages, the XML Injector, a CORE file (only one) and the Career file; if you already have the injector, you should only download 2 packages to use this mod, I know the post is a bit long, but this is like the most important part, 3 packages in total! - Download links at the end.

How does the mod work?

This mod adds a new career for your sims to choose from, the Equestrian Magazine career. It has 5 initial levels and then the option to choose from two branches: Sports & Competition specialized Magazine, and Equestrian Fashion specialized Magazine.

To progress through the career, your sim must improve their writing, photography, equine knowledge and charisma skills (not all at the same time, don't worry).

Extra features

New social interactions for sims in the career:

Gossip about recent horse scandal (Min. Level 5)

Gossip about famous riders (Min. Level 5)

Recommend equine products (Min. Level 3)

You can find them in the Friendly > Gossip or Small Talk category.

Attend events:

Under the Equestrian App menu on the phone, there's a new option to cover equestrian events. You can choose to cover Competitions, Gala events, Facility tours, etc.

I wanted to add the option to write articles about these events, but the interaction doesn't work as it should and I couldn't find a solution yet. So I'll add the feature in a future update.

Parenthood and Get Famous Chance Cards:

If you own Get Famous, your sims might get the chance to leave their work and gain fame, just like in other careers (with 2 custom scenarios depending on the level).

If you own Parenthood, you will get the character values chance cards that are added to all careers with the pack.

However, custom chance cards related to the career will be added in the future!

Career boosts and better performance:

If your sim has any of these careers or traits, they will perform better:

Communications degree

Language and Literature degree

Horse Lover trait

Known issue

For some reason, the career outfits are generated automatically, and I couldn't figure out how to make a custom uniform (I don't even think it's possible). So to change it there are a few ways:

Open the cheats console and type: sims.modify_career_outfit_in_cas (no mods)

With MCCC: click on your sim > sim commands > edit career outfit

Custom uniform by Midnitetech: this is the option I use because of how simple it makes it

Required CORE File

This mod requires a core file to work properly. It includes a pie menu for the phone and the custom Equine Knowledge skill.

Making these files separate means that I will be able to use them in other (Equestrian Expanded) mods without needing to download this career if you don't want it :) However, this package should only be downloaded once (unless it gets updated), and not every time you download a mod that needs it. (Download links at the requirements).

My editing skills aren't really good, so the basic phone icon doesn't look that good 🥲 I use the softpine icons recolor anyway, which is why I also made that version, to look more aesthetically pleasing 🫥 so feel free to use any version, but only one!

You can also recolor the icon to fit your aesthetic, do whatever you want with it! (For the softpines version, the creator allows recolors, but please make sure to check their page first).

Equine Knowledge Skill Info

For your sim to start gaining this skill, there's a new interaction under the Research Menu (computer): Research Horse Breeds. This will unlock the new skill, and more interactions will appear under the new Pie Menu (Equine Knowledge), plus new rabbithole activities will be unlocked as the sim progresses through the skill (Equestrian App on the phone).

I want to keep my vulva/vagina, but I still want a penis, and I can't tell you the amount of times I've cried because I don't think this type of surgery is even done or, if it is, done in the US at least. It sucks so much.

Also anon, great news: this surgery is real! It’s called vagina-preserving phalloplasty or VPP.

There aren’t a ton of surgeons who perform it in the US but some (from the Crane Center in California) are listed here. There’s also someone in New York that talked about getting a vagina-preserving metoidioplasty in a news article but mod doesn’t know who their surgeon was. More info and some more surgeons are here.

More people are getting nonbinary bottom surgeries so there are slightly more resources around now. Good luck anon!

The Prompt!

Okay! Make a new page, solely for Ostara/ Spring Equinox! 

Write out a description of the holiday. What is it? When is it? How is it traditionally celebrated? Why were things celebrated the way they were? What are the things that this holiday represents and stands for? This is the meat and potatoes of the holiday. Any and all bits of info aside from this are just the seasoning. Mine is a few small paragraphs about the holiday itself. 

Now make some lists. What are the colors used to decorate for this holiday? What are some incense/ oils/ candle scents that are commonly associated with this day? Gemstones? Herbs? Is there a moon phase or particular god/goddess associated with this holiday? What about animals? Flowers? Were there any traditional offerings left out on this holiday? What are some of the activities you can do to celebrate this holiday? And what about magic and rituals. Are there any specific kinds of magic to perform on or around this day? Are there any poems or blessings associated with this holiday?

That’s a lot of info, I know. But now for the second part of the holiday prompt!

Now, given all the information you’ve gathered, make your own small ritual to be performed on Ostara/ the Spring Equinox. To do this, I suggest a scrap paper to brainstorm on. Here’s some things to keep in mind and help write out your ritual. 

What is the theme/ purpose of the ritual? (Healing ritual? Cleansing? Renewal of intentions? Welcoming the light?)

What are the tools you’ll use and what is the purpose/ association it has? (candles, athame/ sacred blade, incense, gemstones etc)

What power(s) are you calling upon for the ritual and why? (elements, deities, sun/ moon, personal power, etc)

How do you set it up? Is there specific placement of the tools? Direction to face when calling the above powers? Do you cast a circle? Or do you simply light a candle and bow your head in a moment of silent prayer/ meditation?

But I also found this tweet by OOP made after that post that explains they have since received DMs from Overwolf stating that they have shifted their relief efforts to aiding victims that have lost their homes from the Hamas terrorist attacks exclusively and do not fund the IDF. this is a much better cause as the victims of terrorism definitely deserve to be helped, and it makes sense they would do this as an Israeli company. The DMs also clarify that it is donation based and nothing uploaded to cf (cc/mods) contributes to this effort whatsoever. As well as Overwolf/Curseforge revenue in general. So simply using curseforge does not mean that you fund or endorse genocide. OOP calls their new efforts commendable in that tweet but I am still looking into and keeping an eye on this matter since, as we know, more information could come out later that contradicts this. And since I have been away im still catching up on everything that has been posted relating to cf.

here are the pics for those that may not have Twitter. do I still support a boycott for those that want to? oh, absolutely. I know that many will still want to boycott regardless, and I'll be working to add alt links to my cc uploads as soon as possible (the ones that don't already have them) for those that don't want to use it. However, everyone I've seen wanting to boycott seems to want to do it because a) they believe overwolf is funding the IDF (apparently is not true) b) they believe having their uploads on cf or downloading from there will fund the IDF (apparently is not true) or c) overwolf itself is an Israeli company (is definitely true). therefore based on the new info we now have some may decide not to boycott after all or will still do so, it is a personal decision. will I be deleting my account there? for now, no.

to be completely honest, I'm in a really bad place financially right now, and while it isn't much, the little bit I get from cf downloads has been exclusively going towards my meds and dr appointment bills. I don't have the option right now to turn down the small amount of added income when I am currently living day to day, especially with the updated knowledge that simply having cc uploaded there does not contribute to their donation efforts in any way. I do not paywall my cc and never will and I do not ask for donations myself, so my options are somewhat limited. although I do not make cc with the aim of getting paid, I ultimately wouldn't be able to justify the sheer amount of time I spend on it if it wasn't helping me with my medical bills currently, as I am already caregiving with the majority of my time. I'm not reliant on cc making or cf to live, and I never want that to be the case god forbid, but in full transparency it is helping me with my healthcare expenses atm and I cannot afford to neglect my health anymore than I have. especially since, as established earlier, using cf does not contribute to the IDF in the first place. so I personally do not judge anyone that continues to use cf for this reason.

also, for the record so there is no confusion on my personal views, I fully support the freedom of Palestine and condemn genocide first and foremost, as well as terrorism and antisemitism. The current situation in Gaza is abhorrent and I encourage all my followers to not only reblog posts, but educate yourselves on the situation and bring it irl as you are able. Speak with the people you love as well as those you are acquainted with and bring this to this to their attention (if you feel safe to). Attend protests if you can. If you cannot, make the calls and emails to your representatives, sign petitions, and donate as you are able. I have been seeing that even spreading Palestinian culture among your loved ones and peers is helpful. So even if you are in a bad place mentally, that may be an option to spread the positive message of the Palestinian people in your everyday life. I'll be reblogging the posts I already did earlier and some new ones too so you can find those updated links. I will be tagging it with palestine so that it can be found easily on my page.

In addition, be kind. To others and yourself. Try to see the full damn picture instead of a snapshot. What someone posts on tumblr of all places does not reflect an entire person's being, or their efforts, or their heart. Yelling your head off on this dying website does not equal activism, and running your mental health into the ground taking on the weight of the world doesn't give you any more control over the issues we face- I learned that the hard fucking way, believe me. By all means share as much as you like, every bit helps (especially if you have a lot of followers), but keep in mind that it certainly doesn't make you better than anyone else. I know it's extremely difficult to feel helpless and you want to feel like you're doing something, but just make sure you're doing the right things for the right reasons. Please do not fucking attack random people for not responding within one business day of the latest info coming out. And take time away from all this shit to breathe. You can't help anyone if you're fucked up yourself. especially for those of us that already face discrimination and bigotry every day irl, I know it is exhausting. Remember to also care for yourselves through all this.

The Newcrest Cineplex is an entertainment supercenter right in the heart of Newcrest. In addition to the movie theaters, sims can also enjoy the arcade, karaoke lounge, and a private party room!

Exterior

The exterior is meticulously decorated, with a detailed parking lot leading to the rear entrance.

Interior

In the grand entryway, sims can browse the display of Starlight Stars, featuring iconic figures in film.

The restrooms are tucked away along the sides of the entryway.

Sims can grab their popcorn and drinks before the movie, or enjoy snacks and treats in the cafe.

The arcade is loaded with all types of games and activities. Sims can explore immersive gameplay, for a solo gaming experience. For the more competitive type, there's the arcade station, the gaming lounge, the game table, and a Voidcritter Battle Station for kids.

Note: I'm aware that sims don't seem to like the decor in the arcade, for some reason. There are several objects that have emotional effects, so I suggest enabling them to override the negative moodlet.

The upstairs lounge is a great place for a date night, with a stocked bar, and a live music stage for comedy, music, and karaoke performances.

Main Attraction: Movie Theater

There are a total of 5 theaters spanning both floors of the cineplex. Sims can enjoy a movie with friends or family on a big screen, in comfy seats, with captivating surround sound.

Note: Due to the split-leveling in the theater rooms, sims consider each row of seats as a separate room. So they will only watch the movie in the front row, and if there are no seats available, they will stand to watch the movie (unless you have mods, I suppose.)

So, I have some relatively large plans for Spade + his siblings, and Baron Skinner's Bazaar, and I want to make an easy way to navigate this page beyond just the tags! I will be doing such by creating link-texts to the rps, from the last post in the thread, for ease of consumption!

That being said, I'm going to do my best to seperate posts by the following — Meetings/Interactions with others — Performances at the Bazaar — and — Performer Lore.

For the former, I will be listing the other accounts as Spades nickname for the character followed with the translation for the nickname in brackets! [Reason being for these nicknames is that a name is very important to the Bazaar, and Spade gives characters nicknames to keep them safe!]

Performances will be added with whatever the circus act/performance is called, and linked to below.

Performer lore is going to be the bottom-most section and the least relative to the performances themselves. They are not necessary to read to understand the events, but if you'd like to know more about each individual performer, that's where to go!

Alright, so on the colours thing, I will be assigning different colours to different performers at the Bazaar!

Spade will not type in it, though if any performers refer to him, his colour is purple.

The J Twins, Jester [She/It] and Joker [He/It], will type in and be referred to with pink and green respectively. The twins will typically refer to/about one another as Jes and Jo!

Heart writes in and will be referred to with red text [It/She]

Diamond writes in and will be referred to with blue text [They/She/It]

Club writes in and will be referred to with orange text. [She/It]

There are other performers, however due to limited colour options they will use emojis and that will get mapped out when needed!

About Submissions

We are accepting one submission per team. Please read our instructions very carefully!

In addition to our Guidebook, we are releasing submission instructions separately so that you have time to go over all of the information with your team mates, decide who will perform the final Google Form submission, and ask any questions of the mods.

There will be a Google Form to collect:
