🌅A warm evening by the river.

Six months had passed since I last came here. The river had overrun its banks, the paths were swallowed by wildflowers, and some familiar trees had slipped quietly out of life. I settled on a stone, careful not to disturb the natural rhythm of time. In the distance, white herons paced through the shallows; the hum of insects was hushed by the sound of the current, and the air shimmered with the sweet scent of sun-drenched grass. The far bank called to me — how tempting to wonder what quiet marvels might be waiting there😺

Somewhere behind me, something stirred — just a thick tail disappearing into a gap between the rocks. Most likely a sheltopusik — a legless lizard. I must have startled it🙈👻

The sun was sinking, and it was time to head back. A brief visit — and yet, so full of feeling. I love moments like this; they turn, later, into the most beautiful kind of nostalgia🌿❤️

Миновало шесть месяцев с тех пор, как я приходила сюда. Река затопила берега, тропки заросли полевыми цветами, и ушли из жизни некоторые знакомые деревья. Устроившись на камне, я постаралась не мешать привычному течению времени. Вдалеке по мелководью расхаживали белые цапли, шум течения заглушал жужжание насекомых, а в воздухе летал сладкий запах от нагретых за день трав. И дальний берег манил — ведь так интересно, какие же там чудеса поджидают😺

За спиной послышалось какое-то движение, но я успела увидеть только толстый хвост, уползающий в щель среди камней. Вероятно, это был жёлтопузик — то есть безногая ящерица. Наверное, я его напугала🙈👻

Близился закат, и пора было возвращаться. Короткий визит, а сколько эмоций! Люблю такие моменты: они потом станут чудесной ностальгией🌿❤️
