Actually I hate having public socials cause everytime I try to have a nuanced take or discussion about aspects of my own identity, and how we don't fit into the same box, someone else will jump in, completely miss the point and ugh
God forbid you're not non binary or aroace in a lvl 1 lgbt way
#I'm actually so tired#“nonbinary is just they/them androgynous uwu” or#“most of us aroace people are romance repulsed actually >:(”#ok and there are some that aren't and we aren't going to kill you. calm down#feels even better when they use language that explicitly excludes you as if you aren't valid or welcome in the community like ok thanks!!!#sorry. I'm just so tired of having the same song and dance for the millionth time#EDIT: on the aroace thing specifically#allos often argue that you're not allowed to find the aroace coded characters even attractive cause thats somehow offensive#I get they mean well but.. still#“x repulsed also exi-” yeah and in my experience that's what 99% of the discussions are about#while people who aren't (x) repulsed get.. left out and ignored as if they don't exist#that's kind of.. my entire point#EDIT 2: do not get me started on being intersex aswell btw. just do not. actual hell. people are not normal about us

Remember that supporting nonbinary people means supporting nonbinary people who don't medically transition, or who don't look androgynous, or who don't dressed differently from what's expected of their assigned gender.
And when I say "support nonbinary people who don't differ in presentation from their agab" I don't just mean fully medically transitioned transmasc femboy or transfem butches (though those people are cool and valid). You have to support people who don't medically transition, and that doesn't just mean naturally androgynous afab people who fit a butch tomboy aesthetic, or naturally androgynous amab people who fit a femboy aesthetic (though those people are valid and cool), you have to support nonbinary people whose appearance doesn't fit into any aesthetic of nonbinaryness. And not just people who plan to medically transition, or dress differently someday, you have to accept nonbinary people whose presentation is probably not going to change.
There are a lot of nonbinary people who just kind of look like cis men or cis women, and you have to accept that they're still nonbinary, that they're still valued members of the community. Nonbinary isn't an aesthetic for you to consume, it's not something people perform for you. It's an internal identity, and it's a community. We don't choose to be nonbinary (most of the time), and we shouldn't have to look a certain way for who we are to be recognized.
It even goes into the way nonbinary people (and trans people in general) are complimented, where it's always so focused on how alien the complimenter sees them as. It's always "girlcock", "boy boobs", "they/them pussy", it feels so fetishistic. And it's not even about how sexual it is, like "UwU you're such a cute genderless girlboy" feels more fetishistic than "you have dick sucking eyes". It's this focus on how the viewer enjoys them specifically as a deviantion from what they consider a normal human, as opposed to just being attracted to someone who happens to be a deviation from what most humans are. Like, I want to see someone express attraction to a nonbinary person, as opposed to just being attracted to nonbinary people as a concept. Like can people on here even really be attracted to transfem penises as penises anymore, like be attracted to them as sexual body parts they presumably want to interact with sexually, as opposed to fetishizing them as masculine body parts on a woman.
And I use chasers as an example because it's both obvious and way too common. But this acceptance without humanization is so common in so many queer spaces, and it's specifically so common twords nonbinary people. The focus on bodies, and the focus on how those bodies differ from from what someone considers as normal. As opposed to focusing on human beings and their experiences. And I think it's why it's so hard for people to accept nonbinary people who don't look diffrent from how their agab is expected to look and never will, because you have to accept experiences over aesthetics to support those people.
Like, I need to stress that if you meet a nonbinary person, whose afab, and isn't medically transitioned, and dresses femininely, you still have to accept that they're nonbinary, you have to accept that they're 0% female if they say they're 0% female. And its not just that you need to use their pronouns, you also need to not think of them as female. And I'm specifically using a non medically transitioned afab person as an example here because the internet, especially the queer internet, seems to have a specific hatred for those people (which combined with how transfem people are talked about, and how certain cis queer people are talked about, it makes me think a lot of the queer internet inherently sees feminine bodies as lesser, and sees bodies as losing value the more feminine they become).
And there's two things I mean by "it's important to support these people". The first is just that it's a lot of nonbinary people who are like this, and a lot of them are uniquely vulnerable or invalidated, and they deserve your support and love and validation. But also because if you don't support nonbinary people who don't "look nonbinary enough" for you, every nonbinary person you know is one failure to present in a way you deem valid away from losing your support. When there's a way someone can fail at nonbinaryness to you, than there aren't any nonbinary people you truly unconditionally validate.
I have to admit that I am a nonbinary person who looks a lot like their agab myself. Not telling you if I'm afab or amab, but I am telling you that I have no plans to medically transition, and I don't dress in a way that screams nonbinary. And it sucks in certain ways, especially now that I'm in my twenties and I've lost a lot of weight (both of these are things I'm happy about in general btw), I look so diffrent from what anyone wants to validate. The only time I see art of nonbinary people who look like me it's when they're specifically the opposite agab to me. It sucks that I feel like for at least 25% of the community will either always see me as basically the gender I was assigned at birth, or they'll basically see me as a binary trans person waiting to happen.
This was a lot of words and I don't know how to end it. Please reblog to support me and nonbinary people like me. It's going to be depressing to tag this a few moments from now and see just how many fetish tags you see recommended when you try to tag something with words like "enby" or "nonbinary". It fucking sucks that I see "#enby feedee" before I see "#enby pride".

‼️SPOILER FOR THE SANDMAN SEASON 2 UNDER THE CUT‼️
And read the tags cause I’m not arguing with people who got mad about my opinions so if you see this argument will be something you know will piss you off just scroll
I’m gonna complain about this because it happening again and I’m fucking sick of it.
A couple years ago when good omens season 2 came out I posted a rant about how much I hated Gabriel and Beelzebub together and how them becoming canon ruined their characters.
And then I guess Neil Gaiman decided he was on a roll with the shitty straight people fan service because The Sandman season 2 ALSO features a forced straight relationship that ruined two of the best characters in the show.
This time I’m talking about Johanna Constantine and The Corinthian, and the parallels between them and Gabriel/Beelzebub is astounding.
First of all, Johanna and Corinthian knew each other for maybe a week max? At least Gabriel and Beelzebub had the decency to know each other for a year. But also I’ve realized how much both ships rely on more gendered stereotypes to actually ‘work’ on screen.
In good omens, Gabriel and Beelzebub couldn’t work without making Beelzebub, a canon nonbinary character who was incredibly androgynous in season one, a very feminine character, a change that included more feminine clothing, a generally higher voice, and a more flirtatious personality, and yeah of course you don’t have to be androgynous to be non binary, but the stark contrast and complete 180 personality change wasn’t done to them because “Gabriel helped them be a better person and they changed for him” because they’d clearly had that stark personality change before getting close to Gabriel.
Gabriel himself is also a very clear example of toxic masculinity, and though he becomes a stupid lovable dork (for lack of a better way to describe his personality, I hate him no matter which way he was) he’s still a good example of it.
So in season one the couple starts as a gender fucky and dangerous person and a very gender role dedicated character whose story inherently revolves around their gender and how that’s presented.
Corinthian and Johanna got the same treatment but flipped who got said treatment.
Corinthian is (in my interpretation) a gender fucky character, his main objective is murder and control and he doesn’t necessarily use gender roles to do any of it. (Unless you count his and Ethel’s conversation where she says he’s a sexist attractive man but I think that’s just Ethel)
Johanna, and not to say this in an insulting way, falls under the sterotypical “femme fatale” stereo type, a beautiful and mysterious woman who, wether she means to or not, kills any romantic interest that comes her way.
In the second season Corinthian gets demoted to “protective boyfriend UwU” and has to take the role of strong responsible man just trying to keep his girlfriend out of trouble, and it’s an insult to both of them. Corinthian gets dumbed down to Labrador boyfriend and Johanna gets treated as almost helpless, needing Corinthian’s help and guidance and the only time I personally have fun watching Corinthian be responsible is when he’s got some kid or another to look out for.
On top of that Corinthian was GAY in the first season and within 2 hours of being alive in the second season he’s head over heels for some girl he met 10 minutes prior (not even) and Johanna was definitely, if not a lesbian, then women leaning. And within an instant that got erased.
Another disrespect towards Johanna was the near complete ignorance of her fear of relationships, going a couple episodes of turning down corinthian’s flirtations before the last 10 minutes of episode 11 to go “never-mind Im not afraid of relationships anymore and I’m magically in love with you” which as a viewer was just really uncomfortable.
The worst part of all of this was just knowing that the sole reason it even happened in the first place was to save money on CGI by lessening Matthew’s character role.
#anti Gabriel/Beelzebub#sandman season 2 rant#anti Corinthian/Constantine#I genuinely do not expect anyone to read all of this or care I just needed to get it off my chest#media rants#sandman season 2 spoilers#lots of talk about gender roles

About the unpopular opinion post!
1°: I dont like how the second a new character shows up, they are shipped with someone and especially with Luka and Alix, like, LEAVE THEM ALONE 😭, not everyone needs to be in a romantic relationship. I like wholesome, cuddles and kisses BUT its nice to have characters that arent interrested in that. Aroace Alix 🧡💛🤍🩵💙
2°: Not a fan/dont like Bi Mari. Personally i believe that Mari doesnt have an attraction towards girls, i think that she is painfully straight, i kinda dont like Mari also so. I believe that many people headcanon her as Bi/Pan etc since she the main character and shipped with everybody, also because WLW ships are cool. But in short, no Bi Mari for me
3° Kagami is WAY better than Mari, Mari along 6 seasons hardly got any character development, now Kagami? Oh ye
4° Many miraculous holders just....got their miraculous with not a real reason for that😭
5° i dont like overly fem Marc that much- DONT KILL ME PLS. My dislikes comes especially from many fics of Wattpad, treating Marc like an "UwU bean", it's the stereotype of a gay men basically and i hate it, so i get flashbacks when i see overly fem Marc, it makes me a bit scared of how the OP sees gay men/androgynous people 😬. ESPECIALLY when the OP headcanons Marc as Non Binary or Trans, it unfortunaly feels like an excuse to make Marc even more fem😔. I love how Marc is androgynous and i love the fact that he can fit with basically any style, fem Marc, masc Marc, love all of them, but the way some people write/draw fem Marc makes me feels suspicious about them...
I have to agree with all of these, especially 1, 2, and 5. I hate how Alix is shipped with people instantly and we know that aroace people can date but only if they want to or genuinely interested in that. And it’s been shown that alix isn’t interested in dating or romance, that’s fine. As for Luka, he needs more time to be a character before he can date again, I wouldn’t blame him if I had a girlfriend like marinette, she was terrible to him. Also what’s with some of these people thinking Chloé has chemistry with either character and thinking that would be better if that’s canon. No ma’am, you can ship them but they don’t act like it should canon and thinking it would work. We need focus on them as individuals and platonic and familial relationships, not every character needs to be shipped.
I have nothing else to say about marinette other than, people getting real close and personal up on your space isn’t always romantic or shippy. Honestly I don’t see Chloé being a sapphic either, she just has zero chemistry with anyone and just because she’s a big fan of ladybug, doesn’t mean she has a crush on her, there’s a difference. Honestly I see Chloé being the type to experiment and then try to deny she does that stuff.
It feels weird and gross when people just make Marc nonbinary, just so he can be the feminine one for him and nath’s relationship. It just doing the heteronormativity on to them and it just bleh.
I wish kagami didn’t get up with Felix because that ruin her character to me, and as for 4… yeah you’re not wrong, I wish other characters helped marinette pick holders and why they deserve to be heroes instead of doing it randomly like penalteam gang, Felix, and Chloé.

once again i am fucking annoyed by the youths who identify as nonbinary bc it's nothing but a sea of "uwu enbies uwu" and "theydies and gentlethems" and just consistently perpetuating the stereotype that ALL nonbinary people use they/them exclusively, and that ALL nonbinary people want to appear as androgynous and/or masc, and anyone who doesn't fit into these boxes is a nonbinary "minority" and doesn't have much room to speak on anything since they don't speak for "the vast majority"
WE'RE ALREADY A MINORITY OF PEOPLE WHY ARE YOU FORCING PEOPLE INTO BOXES
there's no right or wrong way to be nonbinary. there's no singular nonbinary look, alignment, or anything like that. nonbinary people aren't just thin white afab transmascs named bug or rowan with undercuts and piercings and use they/them exclusively. nonbinary people use he/she/it/fae/xey and a bunch of other pronouns. nonbinary people have huge tits and don't bind them and enjoy showing them off. nonbinary people are people of color with their own unique experiences that should be fucking listened to. nonbinary people are fat and deserve just as much recognition and respect as thin nb people. nonbinary people are amab and deserve to be accepted in nb spaces without being treated like they're predatory men in a Women Lite™ community.
get the fuck over yourselves, and remember that we're all a minority together, not just the cutesy enby whatevers with blue hair and pronouns.

also since we're talking about gender identities and pronouns on the dash...
kaey is masculine nonbinary, but also very transmasc coded (as in, I have greatly considered writing him as transmasc since he became fandomless, which is mostly related to my own journey with my gender identity and being transmasc). he/him exclusively, is okay with they/them for courtesy (as in, he's okay being referred to neutrally until his pronouns are confirmed, like for first meeting). he is definitely masc but could also be considered androgynous.
shade is true nonbinary, semi-genderfluid, and defaults to she/her but will accept any pronouns in her modern universes. in BG3 she's more comfortable with she/her or they/them, and doesn't really accept he/him until the epilogue when she becomes remedy, which is a more gender neutral identity and she presents that way; by default, she presents as feminine in verses during the game.
I (puffin / selkie) identify as non-binary with a flavoring of genderfluid depending on the day. I accept all pronouns but default to they/them and she/her; if we've spoken or been following each other for awhile you can refer to me as she/her, otherwise default to they/them as a courtesy. he/him is definitely reserved for days I am feeling more masc, but I'm honestly not used to being referred to as he/him but I think I'm ok with it. this may change with time, idk. I'm also very gender neutral in general cuz I've always been paralyzed by what male and female are supposed to feel like; I don't know ! so I kinda just. go with the flow. some days I am more masc, other days I am more fem, in general I am pretty neutral or in-between, so non-binary suits best.
so to default, we have a full range of pronouns here while all being non-binary. kaey is he/him, shade is she/her, I am they/them. uwu and, in general, shade more aligns with my current identity than kaey does, but I definitely used kaey to explore my gender identity and his development reflects my journey tbh

On the topic of "Queer Enough"
So recently a friend of mine attempted to go to a local queer weekend retreat, and had a throughly awful time.
It wasn't because he got misgendered.
It wasn't because of poor planning.
It wasn't because of accessibility issues (although those were heavily present).
No, his primary issue was that he wasn't "queer enough" to be included in many discussions.
He's not your mental image of a technicolor neopronouns fuck-the-binary queer. He's just a guy. A guy who likes traditional architecture and Robert Frost poetry and classic literature and dressing as classically masculine as possible.
And he felt completely out of place.
Nobody would go talk to him, they just wanted to hang out with the groups they already knew.
All of the discussions scheduled were about polymory, social justice, and activism - not bad topics, but no alternatives were offered for monogamous people or people who wanted a mental break from heavy social justice topics.
And the more he talked about it, the more I realized how often I see this happening, both online and in person.
Y'all want to say "more weird queers", and we already know you can't be normal about the queers you have now, but you also can't be normal about the exceptionally ordinary queers.
Right now, it seems like we have one acceptable way to be a few different flavors of queer:
If you're a gay man, you have to be either glowingly flamboyant or just barely restraining it.
If you're a gay woman, you have to be hyper femme, have unnaturally colored hair, and a "take no shit" attitude. Also be HEAVILY into sex, and have absolutely zero shame about voicing that opinion loudly and often.
If you're trans, you're either uwu soft or a borderline bodybuilder with a "take no shit" attitude, and you have to conform to binary beauty standards UNLESS you go as absolutely bonkers yonkers and take androgyny to 100 - but the colorful version. Neon pink beard, a suit jacket over a dress, and dripping with glitter.
If you're nonbinary, you have to be as gender weird and androgynous as possible. Extra "validity" points for being the aforementioned color/glitter explosion.
And there's nothing WRONG with being this kind of queer - it's fantastic if that's how you feel true and empowered!
But the fact that we've somehow regressed in our own community acceptance of "boring" queers is both sad and detrimental. ALL of us should feel welcome in our community - the walking pride parades, the "jim from accounting"s, and everyone in between.
So this is my shout out to the "boring" queers. The "just a guy"s and "just a woman"s, and "idk, I'm just me"s. You are queer enough. You are wanted in our community, and you belong here. Whether because you have to fly under the radar for safety, or you simply just enjoying being "Tanya who manages the Stop-n-Go" and nothing more, you are queer enough.
You always have been, and you always will be.
And to the rest of our community, let's do better about welcoming everyone.
If you're part of a queer space - online or irl - say hi to the new person who shows up. Start up a conversation with them. Introduce them to someone else who has a similar interest as them. Be kind. Community mean you and me, AND them, and her, and him, and xir. All of us. Equally.

Shit, I forgot to ask the question.
What are some dos and don’ts of writing transmasc characters?
Hi! This question is definitely less vague than the last one, since "how do i write a bisexual character" is much wider than "specifically, what are the dos and donts of writing transmascs" so that's helpful!
So, usual preface: i am not the spokesperson or ambassador for all transmascs. This is a very general post coming from one transmasc, specifically a nonbinary trans guy, and i 100% endorse and encourage looking at sources that Aren't Me (but stay the fuck away from t/r/u/m/e/d/s).
But, on with it: general dos and donts!
DO: remember "transmasc" and "binary trans guy" are NOT synonymous.
all trans guys are transmasc, but not all transmascs are trans guys. "Transmasc" encompasses any AFAB or AXAB person who's gender is in the general realm of masculine. "demiboy" "genderqueer" "bigender" "trans man" "nonbinary trans man" and "boyflux", for example, are all genders that can qualify as transmasc (though are not inherently transmasc; many can and do include AMAB people). However, "binary trans guy" specifically means someone who was AFAB/AXAB who's gender is 100% male 100% of the time.
There are transmasc lesbians, transmasc people who are both women and men, transmasc binary people, transmasc nonbinary people, transmasc genderfluids, and more.
[afab means "assigned female at birth" btw, and axab means "assigned X at birth". AXAB is for certain intersex people and i am not qualified to delve into it.]
DON'T: portray all transmascs as "uwu cutie soft boys".
putting aside the fact that not all transmascs are boys, this attitude is incredibly infantilizing and uncomfortable. You can certainly have femme transmascs and soft transmascs, but please acknowledge that not all of us are like that. The big push to see transmascs as "soft space beans" or whatever is vile; it pushes us away from masculinity and back into neat feminine boxes. It's only as popular as it is because cis people (especially cis women) are uncomfortable with us being Masculine Manly Guys (or even just androgynous). We are allowed to be masculine, and our masculinity is good and important. Acknowledge this.
DO: show that gender expression =/= identity and every transmasc is different! (this can also go for trans people in general.)
the spectrum of transmasculine gender identities is wide and wonderful. I encourage you to portray this. obviously you can't get all of us in your writing, much less one WIP, but I'd absolutely love for people to show different ways of dress & gender expression for transmascs! The glittery fun way of dress, the boring barbecue camo pants dad, the dramatic emo aesthetic, Just Some Guy... everything. at this point i'm starved for anything. Additionally, transmascs who use pronouns other than or alongside he/him are great, too; as a he/they trans guy, i'd love to see it. (this includes neopronouns btw!) Also, transmascs with a variety of genders and gender types (demiboy, genderqueer, trans guy, etc).
DON'T: try to write about "what it's like to be transmasc" if you aren't.
this goes for literally any marginalization. You can write characters of our identity, and should, but do not write the story of "what it's like to be transmasc". That's not your experience, and you do not know how to do that.
Some general things i'd like to stop seeing:
"this binary trans guy is basically a lesbian" (while there are trans guys who use lesbian/sapphic, that is for personal reasons and most certainly not something a non-trans guy is equipped to write)
Trans people's only orientations being gay or straight??? transgay and transhet rep is important but please acknowledge the rest of us
UNSAFE BINDING. fuck this. you don't have a reason to go out of your way and talk about how the transmasc binds unsafely
"this person uses he/they!" *proceeds to call them by only one of those pronouns for the rest of the entire book*
"this transmasc is masculine and that makes them Worse" stop forever please
some things i'd like to see more of:
transmascs who are marginalized in multiple ways! (disabled transmascs, transmascs of colour, aspec transmascs, ND transmascs, etc)
transmascs who love themselves!! PLEASE I'M BEGGING YOU
transmasc narrators! gimme some transmasc MCs
transmasc love interest that aren't treated like a fetish! yeah, i'm aroace, but i still like seeing transmasc LIs in fiction.
T4T (trans-for-trans) couples involving transmascs!! this includes T4T enbies and T4T m/f relationships
transmascs with plotlines that aren't "i hate myself" (connected to point 2)
transmascs with trans friends!
transmascs in fantasy and sci-fi stories!
transmascs who are accepted by their friends and families!
stories with more than one transmasc in them!
~
I hope this was helpful! Once again, I am one transmasc. I suggest looking around at @yourbookcouldbegayer, finding some other transmasc perspectives, and reading books by transmascs! (fiction and not.)
If any other transmascs want to add on, feel free & please do.

Nonbinary is nonbinary. Even if they dress like their agab, even if they use binary pronouns, even if they use neo or noun pronouns, even if they look binary, even if they're fat, or skinny, or aren't "attractive", even if they have a beard, even if they have long hair, even if they don't look androgynous, even if they fall under every single nonbinary stereotype, even if they fucking suck, even if they're a bad person, even if they hurt you or your friends, even if they're nonbinary because of a neurodivergency.
The only basis to being nonbinary, is that you identify as it. No if ands or buts. You respect their pronouns, you don't call them trans trenders, you don't get to say they don't "look nonbinary"
Some of us wear crazy make up and have short hair, some of us have long hair and look like your idea of cishet.
Not all of us are white. Fucking remember that one. I've seen too many nonbinary people get told they're not nonbinary just because they're not white.
No one is "too fat" to be nonbinary. Your idea of all nonbinary people being small little skinny uwu babies is wrong. We come in all different sizes.
Some of us will fall under stereotypes. Some of us do want to be cute little uwu enbys. That's fine as long as they're not putting others down. And even then you still need to respect their gender identity.
Not all of us are afab. Stop seperating us by afab and amab. It puts us in a binary. It tells us you still only see our agab.
Nonbinary does not have a look, or a type, or a role you have to follow.
Stop trying to put us in a box that we had to work so hard to climb out of

Kris isn't a player insert but their gender is up for interpretation. It's like in a voice acted game where you can name your character, so no one actually calls your character by name. So it can be whatever you want.
I'm sick of people like you harassing people and acting like they're awful for having headcanons. I've seen 12 year olds get freaked out at by people like you.
girl what 😭 please point out any time ive "freaked out" at any kids, or where I was aggressive in my post. I just said I hated an *argument I saw people use* and then explained why I disagreed with it. All I did was present my opinion, and you're acting like I personally bullied kids over it. Do I really need to hand-hold and add a thousand "but it's just my opinion it's okay if you disagree honey uwu uwu uwu"s to my posts for them to not be taken as a personal attack? I literally said *in the tags* that I wasn't mad at people who did this on accident or because they didn't connect the points together that I made in my post. How does this read as the ideology of a bully to you? You are overreacting, I'm allowed to have an opinion just as you are (even if you're wrong) LMAO. stop trying to villify me because you dont like my opinion
But this ask kinda pissed me off so I might Actually be a little mean here to You Specifically because I'm so sick of explaining this
Your argument here doesn't make much sense to me. In most games where you can name your character, there isn't a literal scene saying you don't get to choose who you are in this world. Kris isn't customizable! There is an entire CUTSCENE about how they aren't customizable! You literally make an entire custom character, name them, and they are then discarded and you play as kris instead! the game is REALLY clear that kris isnt just a normal rpg protagonist like youd get from games where they’re more customizable. The fact you even made this comparison at all proves you didn't fucking get the point of my original post! If you acknowledge that they aren't a player insert, why are you comparing them to a game where you can name a character whatever you want? If Kris isn't a player insert like you said, why is it OK to misgender them when they are *exclusively* referred to by they/them in the text? Their mom calls them they, their teacher, etc. You can argue they're nonbinary to make the character more neutral and relatable to all genders (which I bring up in the tags of my post), but they're still exclusively they/them in game.
Using your "characters not referring to the player by name" argument, if the point was for kris' gender to be up to interpretation why wouldn't deltarune just... Do this? I'm sure the writers are more than capable of avoiding using any pronouns at all for kris, so why use they/them exclusively? Especially in a series where multiple NON player characters are also they/them only like blooky and monster kid. We also see multiple characters not referred to by any pronouns at all in game like the shopkeepers (though seam is called they/them on stream) and undyne before she is properly introduced, so it is DEFINITELY possible and something realistic to take into account here.
I have NEVER seen this shit happen with cis characters who by go exclusively he or she which is why this bugs me so much. You can name link whatever you want in some of the earlier Zelda games, but you don't see people arguing that his gender is up to interpretation, or that him being a dude isn't canon because they choose to see him as a girl. This ONLY happens with nonbinary characters (and sometimes trans character, or just those who are androgynous but it's mostly NBs) and I am sick of arguing about this!
#Deltarune#i Will be mean if you come into my ask box with this bullshit by the way#No it doesn't prove your point because I've literally never harassed ANYONE over kris's gender and it's very out of pocket for you to use#That against me to try and get me to shut up#If you disagree that's totally fine! You can disagree! If you actually reply to my post and don't spout bullshit at me while also not being#A coward on anon I will be much nicer and more respectful! I have had respectful arguments about Kris!#But if you pull this 'think of the children#My side is more moral than yours because you have a strong opinion' shit I will get angry at you! Miserix!
YOOO I was hoping someone would send me Miserix for the ask game. He's one of my favorite characters ever since I was a wee lass yet I almost never talk about him for one reason or another. So this is good opportunity to give my Miserix related thoughts.
Content warning for suicide mention in one of the last points btw.
For starters, I find Miserix to be a rather interesting character. This is due to his backstory of being the disgraced former leader of Makuta who was overthrown by Teri and being exiled, desiring. Miserix has this...certain aura of intrigue and mystery due has this...aura of mystery and superiority surrounding him. He isnt a mysterious character by any stretch of imagination, but he def has a vibe of mystery to him.
I love his design so much...Hes a big large dragon with such a kickass design, can you say no to that. I also love how he was designed by a 12 year old girl.
Speaking of...CAN I JUST SAY I LOVE HOW MISERIX CANONICALLY HAS HIS DEFAULT FORM BEING A GIANT RED DRAGON BECAUSE HE FEELS THAT WILL GIVE HIM A SENSE LF SUPERIORITY (+ he likes dragons and feels comfortable in being a dragon form as such). This is why I love this dragon man so much, talk about a chad.
One of the reasons Miserix sticks with me is because of him being one of the few truly neutral characters in the series. Like sure he is a big angry dragon who hates Teridax and wants it all to be destroyed but I don't necessarily think he's evil per say, just someone whose mind was warped by revenge (and even if youd count him as a villain hes different from most other villains). Helps a lot that the object of his revenge was the main villain by say.
Him being an angry dragon who wants revenge is so fucking cathartic and I love it. Since like, sometimes you just want to go apeshit at those who hurt you, ya know. You Miserix, kill Terry like you want to!! Again what a chad!!!
Miserix is one of the most tragic characters in the series when you dissect him. Like, guy was loyal to his duty and mission, was betrayed by his most trusted lietnuant and then almost killed. And that betrayal and isolation degraded his mind to the point he's jusr a mindless beast who wants revenge at this point. And its so sad, especially when you wonder how much he changed due to these experiences.
Speaking of....I think about pre!exile Miserix a lot. Given how the Miserix we see in canon is...heavily affected by Teridax betrayal I wonder what he was before that. What did he value, how did he operate the Brotherhood? Was he deeply focused in his duty or did he have time for other interests and having meaningful relationships? What was his relationship with Teridax like before the latter betrayed him? What about the rest of the Brotherhood? How much did he change, did he have any values or was he just a mindless rage monster? There's so much room for interpretationand speculation and to headcanon and I love that.
The mainthing I can think of is... Pre!Exile Miserix is very driven by duty. Like, in Mutran Chronicles its made clear how he was very invested in his duty and believed in balance and order. It made him having this sense of ...goodness I guess??? Or at the very least that his arrogance was kept in check unlike the rest of the Makuta.
When I was younger I was very "UWU Miserix was good the other Makuta were evil f*cktwits who betrayed him" for a very long time but honestly rereading Mutran Chronicles made me realize that while he certainly had some kind of moral code he was messed up too (see how he convinced Takadox to act as a spy). Like, Miserix was like, lawful neutral at best (chaotic good if you want to stretch it) Def had a moral code to an extent but was not above shady actions.
Speaking of...I kiiinda ship Miserix/Takadox because of those lines that established Miserix hired Takadox to act as Barraki spy in Mutran Chronicles. Like the way Takadox looked at Miserix with concern when the Barraki were leaving the meeting w the BOM just really made me interested in their dynamic despite the fact we know NEXT TO NOTHING ABOUT IT. but the little we know gives so much potential for them to hacing a really interesting dynamic. Its a shame that Takadox yeeted off in FOF before he could interactwith his former emplyoer, it wouldve given interesting insight into the two.
I aggressively headcanon that Miserix was the first Makuta ever created, and possibly one of Mata Nuis first creations [since iirg MN created the Makuta while Great Spirits and Artakha created most of the GSR species ]
As a kid I seriously thought Miserix was a girl for a while because his name + design were kinda feminine for my child mind fsr. Because of this misconception I had of him as a child, I have ended up in headcanoning him as nonbinary (either genderfluid or bigender to be more specific, leaning towards the latter tbh). He would more or less default to he/him pronouns due to being more used to them but wouldn't mind being refered with feminine or genderneutral pronouns. That being said, he would probably be VERY against being refered with it/its pronouns due to seeing it as dehumanizing.
Also on a "baby me saw Miserix design as androgynous" I heavily hc his voice as androgynous too. Angry, low and booming yes, but in a way that doesn't sound too masculine. This is tve main reason I'm mixed on his voice in the Ignition stop motion: its too masculine for my taste (that being said the voice sounds super jnique and I always hcd Miserix having a rather unique sounding voice soo)
Break from headcanons and thoughts to say: MISERIX HAS SOME OF THE MOST BADASS LINES IN THE SERIES. So much of his lines are so badass and he def has a lot of my favorite quotes in series. Just so much confidence and badassness oozing him.
I find the fact Miserix was turned into a painting by Teridax incredibly funny. Also cant believe paintings are canon in Bionicle.
I think about post-canon Miserix a lot. Now that Teridax is dead, what now? Where would he go there? Would he still be rage-filled monster ,now just having no purpose for his rage? Or would he just wander purposlessly, feeling like theres no reason for him to exist? Regardless, there would be this emptiness... At some point Miserix whole existence became fixated on Teridax so like....When Teri died it was kinda..what then. Post canon Miserix is by far one of the more interesting post canon characters given how much it wouldve affected him. Eh, knowing how Greg writes hed either done "Miserix is driven mad/still rage filled" in the laziest way possible, come up some really stupid and convoluted thing that was out of tje blue or have him being killed off by Velika or one of his cronies instead of exploring his character in any meaninful way.
On a related note, can we talk about how its canon that in one universe Miserix loosing his purpose made him so depressed he killed himself? I think about that sometimesand just...man guy really was driven by having a duty and purpose.Again, makes me wonder what happened with prime!timeline Miserix post canon.
All in all ,Miserix is great and criminally underrated. Hes both a character thats incredibly simple(angry dragon who wants to kill Teridax) but has potential for complexity in him thanks to all the potential his story has. His story is a tragic one, being given a duty he was willing to commit to his fullest, only to be betrayed by his kind and casted away, this slowly turning him into a rage-obsessed monster we see today.Miserix is such a great and interesting character, and I wish more of the fandom paid attention to him.

why do you use the pan label when it has transphobic and biphobic origins and all definitions including current continue to be so? shopkin . tumblr. com / post / 643238541951975424 / heres-some-resources-on-why-pansexuality-is
Since when did I become a politician cause god you sound like a damn reporter and sir this is a damn Wendy’s.
Little pointer and tip, when it comes to social issues and things you feel might be problematic, its a lot more effective and beneficial to your cause and purpose to not approach people assuming the worst of them and being aggressive. Doing that puts everyone on edge, on the defensive, and automatically shuts down people from wanting to hear and listen to what you have to say. You aren’t promoting your cause, you aren’t lessening bigotry, you aren’t educating people. You are just turning people away from even listening to you and making people who share your opinion look bad.
If you actually care much about the transphobic and biphobic aspects of the pan label, you should probably bring it up more neutrally to people who you think use it and give them benefit of the doubt before indirectly assuming / insinuating that they are transphobic and biphobic for what could be A) a lack of knowledge or B) not immediately listening to you.
This kind of behavior is rude, toxic, and doing literally nothing to support your cause and literally everything to damage its reputation and credibility in the eye of the public. You shouldn’t send these aggressive accusatory messages to people like this based off an identity label they used in the tags on a blog where those topics are not the primary point of discussion.
I really respect your intent for lessening biphobia and transphobia, but don’t do this.
To those reading this post and following me because I am here to post about trauma and dissociation related things, don’t do this for any topic of discourse or syscourse. Being hyper-aggressive, accusatory, and assuming the worst based off of the usage of a word doesn’t help educate anyone. If they use terms you think are wrong, give benefit of doubt and be polite about it. Else you are likely just making the entire movement look horrible.
People that do this have the communication and advocacy skills of a toddler.
=====
Now that that is out of the way. If you actually asked, I actually use bi **more** than pan in my day to day usage because I already know bi is the umbrella term and it is also the easiest descriptor of what I am. I am both bi and pan because if you are pan, you are automatically bi. I already know that, which is why I typically use bi, unless I am trying to be more specific to who I am.
Because I, as a person, am actually not really so much attracted to men and women, as much as I am attracted to nonbinary / androgyne and specifically men and women who border androgyne. As of such, while I AM bi, I find myself personally annoyed and irritated by most of anything that implies a binary.
I know the history of bi is an umbrella term and that is why I still use it generally, but on my personal platforms, I like to use pan because I’m really really not fond of the name implication of “bi” when my actual attraction is neither male nor female but specifically a gray region in the middle. I am proud to be bi, I am bi, but if I am being me, I prefer pan because there isn’t really a sexuality label out there that isn’t MOGAI (Not that Mogai is bad, I just don’t like using the labels personally) to say “I am attracted to androgyne and men, women, and nonbinary people that are GNC” and while bi does cover that, it innately in the name implies two.
I know bisexuality has always had that and I know bisexual doesn’t mean “cisgender male and females”, but as someone who is nonbinary, who likes androgyne, a “third gender” that likes “third gender” leaning people, labeling myself with something that has a name that implies two genders (even if it doesn’t actually mean it) just feels less than accurate to who I am and the values I hold by.
Bisexuality and pansexuality are literally the same thing and I literally use both. It is just on my personal expression of myself I prefer to use my preferred description that doesn’t have a name rooted in the gender binary.
I’m assuming, or at least hope for the sake of your argument, that you really must hate people just labeling themselves with what best describes them and I hope you also dislike neopronouns and get on people’s asses about that too, because pansexuality is just a label I use because the *name* is the only difference that matters to me. It is just a label. Not everyone who is pansexual is on this “uwu I don’t care about genitals I care about hearts” hatred or anything. I’m not superior to people who use bisexual just because I use pan, I am literally fucking bisexual as well.
It’s just a label, let people use labels that make them comfortable and judge them if they start spewing bullshit about “uwu pan people are more woke because bi people care about genitals.” I literally just said I was pan in the tags of a post and MAYBE i put it in some about / caard but I never started spewing the stupid pan rhetoric.
I’m **literally** bisexual and transgender you asshole.
Bi erasure and Biphobia sucks and I get that too because I am bi. Literally outside of tumblr, bi is literally my main label and on tumblr, I don’t like the nomenclature that implies two. Get off my dick.

Gotta love when there's god like being in a game and it's stated that he can take on the appearance of more or less anything but at this moment he choses to appear as a male human. And everyone in the gender fandom start screaming that he's genderfluid. He's not human, why would he be expected to abide by the human gender binary??
It's also so weird when they use aliens or decidedly non human characters as proof of representation. Like, no?
Ugh I see it too much 😭
The worst part is when they are incredibly adamant that “he can’t be a man because he’s not human!!!” But then be like “oh he’s nonbinary genderfluid uwu”. As if nonbinary genderfluid aren’t human labels.
I just want some consistency. If the character isn’t a man or woman because they’re not human, they can’t be “nonbinary” or “genderfluid” either. Not as long as there’s humans claiming to be those things.
That’s why I just find it best to refer to characters like these as “sexless”. It makes sense, and isn’t connected to nonbinary genders because humans can’t be sexless. There’s a huge difference between a biologically sexless alien and a human who thinks being androgynous makes them genderless.
The one win we can take from this though; is that they see a character with a non human attribute (being sexless), and decide it’s nonbinary or genderfluid representation. Meaning that in a way... they’re admitting that nonbinary and genderfluid are non human concepts and aren’t possible for humans to achieve 🤔

... So wada think of the classic Renamon?
I guess I just officially do Digimon reviews, huh.

Renamon!!!!!!
I LOVE Renamon. Much like Ninetales and Zorua, it’s inspired by the Japanese Kitsune, intelligent fox spirits possessing supernatural powers. For Renamon, these powers consist of summoning barrages of sharpened leaves and changing its appearance, particularly to copy the opponent’s, though I’m not sure how useful copying your opponent’s appearance actually is. It has an incredibly striking design, much taller than the typical Child-level Digimon, and is IMMENSELY popular.
In the Digimon Tamers anime, Renamon’s personality is cool and aloof, initially serving her partner, Rika, out of stoic loyalty and recognition of strength rather than any sort of emotional bond. Knowing the bond-oriented themes of Digimon, it should come as no surprise that this doesn’t last, and they gradually form an exceedingly powerful friendship, with recognition of their relationship sparked by Rika’s profound concern for Renamon’s wellbeing when injured. Renamon also had a notable bond with the oft-misunderstood Impmon, showing empathy and understanding toward him and his distrust toward humans and seeking to aid him when he’s in trouble.
Despite Renamon’s feminine pronouns in the anime, it’s worth noting that digimon as a species are officially genderless, merely manifesting gendered qualities in their data. This is explicitly stated by Renamon, and also acknowledged in her design notes regarding Renamon in particular, with Renamon being designed to appear androgynous and her genderlessness being intended to be reflected in her personality. Moreover, a Renamon using masculine pronouns appears in Digimon World Data Squad, reflecting the versatility of the design, and overall my point here is Renamon is a nonbinary icon and should be recognised as such. Even has the flag colours uwu
As a design, there’s a fair bit more going on with Renamon than is typical of Pokemon, but by Digimon standard’s it’s pretty simple and straightforward. Design highlights include the purple whirlwind-y designs on its thighs and the long purple armwarmers with a Taijitu on the back of each one. Beyond those details, you’ve just got an impeccably designed yellow anthropomorphic fox.

Renamon also has an X-Antibody form, said to be a dignified onmyoji well-versed in the dark arts, with its transformation abilities having been expanded to altering the environment itself as a powerful illusionist. Its Taijitu motif has been expanded further as well, able to summon them as slicing weapons, and overall it’s just a lot more extra than base Renamon in general. The design is kind of a mess, but X-Antibodies are kinda like that in general, and I do still like it overall. Now’s also a good time to note that X-Antibodies are usually designed by different artists, and this particular one was done by Kagemaru Himeno! She’s been regularly illustrating Pokemon cards since Jungle (the second TCG set), so some of you may recognise the name.
Anyways, Renamon’s fantastic, and it’s one of my absolute favourite digimon. Almost the Lucario of Digimon, it’s probably the most iconic post-Adventure digimon there is – a position I consider immensely justified – and there’s really no other digimon that has quite the same premium vibes.
Furbait tho/10.

hey broski wanna talk about how you hc elves experience gender stuffs uwu
Okay okay okay,,, so like. Okay I have Thoughts about DnD races and genders and stuff but yeah I'm just gonna talk about my headcanons for Elves right now. Uh I'll try to keep this pretty short and simple but yeah yeah yeah. So like, Elves can tend to look more androgynous just like in general regardless of the Elf's actual gender or lack thereof, and so it's usually considered impolite not to ask for someone's pronouns when you meet them. Elves, like humans, are typically born either male or female, but being transgender/nonbinary isn't really a huge deal within any Elven society and is widely accepted and seen as a normal part of many Elves' lives (hence why compared to humans there appears to be many more transgender individuals- not that there actually are more, but it's not something they really feel the need to hide or worry about people having an issue with it so they're just more open about it). Though while around ~2% of the Human population is intersex, around ~10% of the Elven population is intersex. Intersex Elves are typically raised as either having "both genders" or "neither gender" (though those two concepts can overlap sometimes) and are allowed and encouraged to find out what gender they are as they grow, or get to happily live their entire lives like that if they do realize along the way they're nonbinary/genderfluid/bigender/agender/ect. so they never had to have been stuck with a label that didn't fit them and caused them unhappiness. If an intersex Elf grows up and realizes they're a certain gender it varies from Elf to Elf whether or not they consider themselves trans. Some don't ("I've always been this gender and finding myself is just a part of life), but some do ("I was raised nonbinary and have now transitioned into having a gender, therefore I'm trans). So basically, gender is whatever you make of it in Elven culture and it's completely normal and accepted for Elves to change their genders as they grow, have no genders at all, or have multiple genders. There really are no rules or expectations about it in their culture, it's just a normal thing.
Also, Elves don't typically change their names when they transition. Elves have a separate tradition for names that happens to every Elf when they claim adulthood, but that's not a headcanon that's just D&D canon so I'm not really including it here.
As for Hallows herself, she's intersex, and was raised nonbinary. Regardless of whether Hallows identified as a woman or a man, they'd identify as transgender (hence why in my last drawing both Hallows and Darling identify as trans despite Hallows being a woman and Darling being a man). Within the canon of her story, she's officially an intersex transgender woman, but I just thought I'd mention it here since we were talking about it.
