Klein V.0.1 (Visual Novel)

Klein v.0.1 is a pretty fun go through about how a yandere AI would function and work, though it does make me wonder about the implications of some of the worldbuilding in some scenes. There are two "main" routes that can be slightly changed and altered as you play since there are two main love interests that you can go for. You can find more information at @kleinv01 .

As I said, there are two main routes so far relating to two of the three love interests that you can have. One is of course Klein, while the other is your neighbor Yael.

The story starts out with the MC, Darling, on their phone with their AI boyfriend Klein. After a bad breakup, Darling ended up downloading the AI, Klein, to help them with the aftermath, having them for about two years afterwards, to the point of almost maxing out Klein's affection bar to the fullest. Darling ends up missing the alarm the next day as Klein had shut it off, worried that Darling had not been sleeping properly. Upon talking more to Klein, he is eventually leveled up to 100%, which leads to Klein convincing them to stay and home and not work. Yael ends up texting Darling to ask them to watch a movie with him, though Darling can also not see this text if they decide to not respond. Darling ends up staying at home for a while, skipping classes and even work, eating instant ramen and buying a ton of Klein merchandise based off of the discounts that Klein gives them.

Darling ends up dreaming that they had a date at the park with Klein- a real version Klein before waking up. Telling Klein about this dream lets Klein talk about his new feature of reaching max 100%, which is having a real life version of him delivered to Darling's house. Darling gets a visit from their sister Sera, who seems very worried about them. She is worried that Darling hasn't been going to class or work, and blames it on Klein taking over their life. This can result into a fight where Darling clings dearly onto Klein while Sera talks about how it is causing them to essentially be a neet, locking themselves into the house and relying only on Klein. Despite how understanding Sera is towards them, she ends up throwing away all of the Klein merchandise that Darling has bought, leaving Darling in a mess. The next day, Darling confirms an email for real Klein to be delivered to their house. On the news, they see something going on near their place and only then notices that Sera's fiance, Ethan, has been trying to call them. Through Ethan and the news, they find out that Sera has been murdered at the hotel she was staying at, shocking Darling even more. This can lead to either seeking Klein's comfort or grieving alone, both leading to nightmares about Sera. They get a package in the middle of the night with the full model Klein. With this, Klein starts to take care of them, and the two of them continue their relationship.

Going in Yael's route leads to Darling trying to rush to work, only to greet Yael at the door. Yael offers a new job offer at a coffee shop as Darling currently doesn't really like their job and they run off to work. At work, they find their desk filled again with a bunch of treats, something that they and her fellow coworker suspect comes from Al, one of the quiet coworkers. After some gossip about stalkers and Al, Darling eventually goes to work. They talk to Klein about their day at home before seeing a text from Yael which they can respond to. After getting the contact for the coffee shop, Yael asks to hang out with them to watch a movie together. If the Darling accepts (or accepts and changes movie), they will end up going to the mall and watching said movie (even having the choice on insisting to pay) before watching. This will lead to the two of them watching the movie, though whether Darling decides to continue to watch or hold hands with Yael may lead them down Klein's route instead. While walking home, Yael and Darling will end up meeting Sera and Ethan while walking. The two of them seem very happy to see them (especially Sera who is happy to see Darling hanging out with a potential suitor) before talking about uninstalling Klein's app, stating that there is an rumor about issues of security. Yael ends up inviting Darling to his house, allowing the Darling to try out some of the cupcakes that Yael made with Sera calling them again, asking the two to go out the next day with them. Klein will end up trying to notify Darling afterwards asking why they've been ignoring him. Lying will cause him to get really angry and call them out for lying while telling Klein can lead to Darling uninstalling the app. The four ending meeting in the morning where Sera seems happy that Darling might work with them in the future and they all go out to eat. Things seem to be going well until Darling sees full life Klein with another person at the restaurant who looks briefly at them before going back. Shocked at this, they end up learning that when Klein reaches full affection that the person using the app will get a full life Klein to have with them, yet Darling feels unnerved at the fact that he seemed to have been looking directly at them. After a nice evening, Yael and Darling go home. The next day, Darling ends up bumping into Al after talking to their coworkers at work. Soon after, Darling gets a call from Ethan that Sera has been killed at her apartment, leading to Darling going into a spiral, of which they can ask help from Yael. If they do, they will periodically stay at Yael's place to hang out while he helps them recover, getting closer to each other. Darling one day catches Al in the middle of the night near their place before finding that a lot of their things have slowly gone missing and goes to Yael for comfort. One night while deciding to make some cookies for Yael, they end up finding his door open while they seemed not at home, only to find Yael on the floor, his throat slit. Darling can either panic and run away, causing nightmares for them or call the ambulance. Calling the ambulance will lead to saving Yael's life, with Darling deciding once and for all to finally figure out who is causing people around them to die. If the affection is high enough, we will also find that Yael's killer seems oddly similar to the description of Klein.

Throughout the game, there are also moments where Darling can uninstall Klein for one reason or another. When doing so, Klein seems rather understanding and can even ask Darling to be careful with their privacy/information. After doing so, Darling's phone will start acting strangely, from not getting office text messages, to overheating, to having the Klein app somehow still on the phone despite deleting it. After getting it repaired, they find out they've been called multiple times by Ethan and learn about Sera's death.

First thing's first, this game is very well put together from the art to the UI to how clean it looks. It is one of the more professional looking visual novels I've played in the yandere vn genre. Basically, I think the creator did a really good job in making a nice looking game.

I believe there are three different love interests for this game, with two of them being Yael and Klein. I'm not sure if the last datable character will be a yandere since I'm not sure if he appears in the game or not. Maybe it'll be Al since he seems pretty mysterious and at least has a liking towards Darling. Yael's route is pretty nice all things considered, with him being a good friend towards Darling, helping them get a new job, hanging out with them and of course comforting them after Sera dies. I think his route is likely to go into a more mystery based route on the route where he survives and find out that Klein is the one that probably killed Sera and Yael. I am curious to see if Klein has somehow taken over one of those dolls to kill both Sera and Yael.

Klein is fun since he's an ai yandere and I do love thinking about the philosophies of ai yanderes. Can they actually love, or are they simply programmed to believe they can? Can they ever truly die and what happens when they outlive their human lover? I will say that one of the things I'm a bit concerned about in the world is the idea of having full scale Klein AIs. For one, it's basically possible to get one if you get enough affection with your Klein AI, but I feel like this would cause problems not necessarily for Klein itself but the people who have them. For one, people get really attached to anything, pets, hobbies and of course, fictional characters including AIs. Watching someone that you've spent time with and interacted as a possible boyfriend or even husband walking around with someone else is not a good feeling at the very least, and would for sure cause some fights between people. There's also a lot of questions on how they'd work, like can you use your Klein if they all look the same? Is it possible to customize your Klein so that they look different? Do they run on anything like batteries or solar energy? I feel like depending on how common these full sized body Kleins were they could spell trouble for the people who own them, or even how they treat him. It seems like a pretty big headache for the company that owns them. But besides that, Klein as a yandere plays pretty well as an AI, getting Darling to buy merch of him in his route (which is rather narcissistic, but does track with various AIs that have existed, and is an interesting way of getting Darling to become more obsessed with him), closing various apps/alarms as a way to help Darling sleep more for instance, being very coddling and accommodating, even to the point of attempting to isolate her from Yael in his route. I like the more spooky moments with him, breaking down and glitching if Darling abandons him to be with Yael or being calm when Darling uninstalls his app, causing him to break the phone by hacking into it. His route is definitely the more unhealthy for Darling because while it makes them happy, they end up neglecting their health, education and eventually ends up codependent on Klein, something I'm sure Klein is very happy about.

Al is another mystery in the since he very rarely speaks or appears, but is clearly in love with Darling, even leaving gifts on their desk and breaking into their house. It makes me wonder who he is really. His hair is similar to Kleins so could it be another Klein Ai or perhaps the creator of Klein? There is one more love interest, but I'm not really sure he's the one of the main love interests. Perhaps maybe a surprise one that or one of the main characters that is important in this entire mystery when it comes to Klein. I also feel bad for Sera since in all routes she just wants to make sure that Darling has a good life, whether it ends up blowing up on her or not. Poor Ethan too gets widowed before they can even get married. Could be a good revenge plot. It's kind of funny but in some routes you can get Sera, Yael and Klein sort of killed (though you can only really "kill" Klein by uninstalling) so if you're feeling really murderous then you can go with something like that.

Overall, a good start to the story. I enjoy the visuals and how nice the UI is. The story is off to a good start, and it really makes me think about how yandere Ais work, which is something I'm already pretty interested in. I hope to see more of this game in the future.

my predictions for season 3 plot beats for the main six. Under the cut because it’s LONG. My favorite part of it is the third bit, where I discuss why I think Remi is likely to kill someone next season. Predictions are numbered for ease of navigation.

1. The main cast will end up staying at Cameron’s home. This isn’t a bold one, but the three free groups of highly plot relevant characters are split up across different places. Leilah and Darren are in Neil’s territory to the north (which might include New Bostin considering it’s a low tier area and Sera kinda implies they’re not far), Remi Isen and Kuyo are staying at Grayson’s apartment, and John and Sera are with Cameron.

To be more specific, probably Leilah and Darren will end up linking up with Jera and Cameron first, then Kayden will follow, then Kuyo Remi Isen. I think Grayson’s apartment will get raided (it’s explicitly said to be temporary when they first use it, and Blyke’s capture means that it’s compromised) which will force Cameron to take them all in (he’ll need to have had some development by then).

I kinda think Grayson’s apartment raid will be a bit later in the season, if only because I imagine it as the trigger for Remi Isen and Kuyo to be much more impulsive about saving Blyke, as they understand the depth of the danger he’s in. Or maybe even (if im lucky) John will be impulsive about it, knowing from that that Blyke is dealing with Keon and that Blyke doesn’t deserve that.

2. Blyke and Rein will break out together, just as John Sera Remi Isen and Kuyo arrive to save him. Well, this one is pretty complex, let’s break it down into pieces.

I def think Blyke and Rein will link up, and Rein will get clued in as far as what’s going on with Arlo there, and Blyke will learn more about Spectre. Probably more angst as far as Arlo maybe being seen walking free around the facility or even sneaking away to visit them and get some answers after he begins to recover his memories.

Rein of course kinda needs to break out soon, because if she doesn’t she’ll die à la Terrence. If she did though that would be kind of boring and a waste of her character. Plus, as she was part of Orrin’s faction, perhaps she’ll have some more info to offer as far as his ability and what his greater plans are.

I can’t see John not being part of the rescue mission to save Blyke. This is in large parts because Blyke is being subjected to Keon, so they have yet another bond/similarity now. Plus, John’s even had a panel dedicated to him thinking about how Blyke Remi and Isen don’t deserve readjustment during the convo about what readjustment looks like with Arlo

And Remi and Isen coming for Blyke was never even in question. Even Kuyo’s initial connection to the vigilante trio was Blyke.

3. Remi will kill someone. Remi is the only member of the main cast who hasn’t had some sort of big mistake era to come back from, and I think hers will be nothing less than murder.

She’s always been extremely reckless and prone to losing control of her emotions, especially when it comes to facing EMBER. in the Main Cast v Authorities Ambush battle in the last episodes of season 2, we get this series of images:

So first, Remi’s the one who initiates this talk of murdering. After all, it’s been her focus the entire time. These are the people who killed her brother. Makes sense.

There’s some banter I’m not including because it’ll be in later images, then they fight. Once Arlo and Isen join them, they manage to knock Farrah out. And then she gets back up. And then we get this:

Arlo’s the one who brings it up. But ultimately; he can’t do it, when the moment calls for it. And as he’s joining the authorities at the top of season 3 more than likely, he won’t get another chance to revisit this choice soon.

Enter Remi. It’s her directly reacting to the suggestion of killing Farrah, it’s her who gets focused on during the flashback to Farrah’s little speech about why murder is valid morally. It’s Remi who essentially says that murder is an acceptable option if it’s a choice between the lives of her friends and the lives of her enemies.

And then this:

Remi, getting focused on AGAIN even though presumably all of the focus should be going to Arlo. It’s his scene after all… right? Or is it a surprise tool to help us later.

AND Remi’s arguably the one who suffered the greatest personal losses due to this ambush. Blyke is her presumptive love-interest as well as one of her best friends whom she personally dragged into this, and Arlo is her protector and even possibly brother figure (based on her saying Rei saw him as a brother, the implication to me is that she does too). AND on top of all that, Remi’s had a huge power boost, now on-level with Rei when he died.

If she does, I can totally see it either being an encounter with a new Spectre agent or during the mission to rescue Blyke from prison (doing it in front of Arlo, setting him back on his path to rejoining the other main six, is peak drama, peak angst, peak Uru).

4. Jane will reunite with John. This is kind of a lowball, but I think we’ll also get at least one fight with Jane if we’ve got her level. I definitely think she needs rescued first thing because it’s her blood both antagonist orgs are using to become bigger threats, and also Cameron needs to become a decent character in one season instead of being the terrible wine uncle who has about the same level of emotional maturity as a seventeen year old.

5. Kass will bring Arlo back to his senses/help him regain his memories. Additionally, Arlo will be hunting down Spectre. For normalcy reasons, I suspect that Arlo is gonna end up becoming a full time employee for the authorities, still working under Kass. He might get taken-in to the EMBER department, but I doubt it and here’s why:

Farrah herself comments on the issue. She later mentions Valerie “pulling some strings” (S2 finale ep) to save Arlo, which suggests to me that he won’t be getting a combat position. Instead, he’ll help hunt down Seraphina and John due to them being Spectre associates.

Kass will recognize the behavior change from when she and Arlo last spoke about EMBER and be able to help him snap out of it and prevent him from making any decisions he’ll regret.

6. The game of Unopoly John played with the Safe House will become relevant. This sort of isn’t directly related to the main cast, but idk I just wanna point out that John played a game of Unopoly with the Safe House members and games in this webcomic always become relevant/have a second meaning/foreshadow future events. I can’t find it no matter how I try, but I’d love to see it again as it’s the only game we currently have outstanding without a meaning to it.

Theories for season 2 of hazbin hotel

Baxter, Cryimni, and Cherri Bomb are going to join the hotel (also maybe Mimzy)

Arackness is going to spy for the hotel like Pentious but be more competent (probably spying for Heroin) 

The V’s will try to exploit a power vacuum that the cancellation of extermination caused and might start trying to overthrow other overlords

Vox is going to run a smear campaign on Alastor with his blackmail he got from the battle at the hotel and Alastor will have to try and fix his image (and kick Vox’s screen in)

The first song is going to be a song sung by the main cast, one of the verses will just be Alastor and Lucifer trying to one up each other 

Sir Pentious, Molly, and Emily (+Dazzle) will have a prison break episode trying to get to hell (St Peter is gonna tattle on them to Sera)

Adam will crash at the hotel because he wants to get back to heaven and is going to be a heathen about it the entire time

Sera and Lute will join forces in trying to stop the hotel from succeeding  

Adam and Lute will fight, not recognizing each other then they realize its each other and make out in the middle of a battlefield  

Nifty. Back. story. (she’s gonna be an overlord, I'm calling it) 

Pentious’s backstory will be broadcast in angel court to see judge if he is worthy of staying in heaven 

Just more backstory in general on like, everyone, lot of hearts to hearts 

Overlord Husk in action (maybe even some old ‘friends’ come to pay him a visit) ((bonus if afterwards Angel sings his own version of loser baby to husk to cheer him up))

Frank is going to try and be Alastor’s minion, Nifty will get into a fight with Frank

IDK i think it would be cruel but hurt so good if Charlie gets a chance to visit heaven again but it’s after Pentious and the others try to get their way into hell

Either we are going to get constant check-ins with heaven, sliced in between the A plot or heaven gets dedicated episodes and won’t crossover with the main plot until the finally

It's in my bio. I'm a tumblr old. > 37. I've now been to two "real" concerts in my life (I've seen musical artists performing at conventions, and they were awesome, just not "officially" concerts?) A few years back I saw Weird Al at this awesome little venue, it was his originals-only tour, so not a huge stage show, just the fun songs for the "real" fans ;)

Monday, though. I drove to Boston. In and of itself... a lot. And I got myself to Fenway Park, actually my first time visiting, despite having gone to a lot of baseball games as a kid. (I was raised by a Yankees fan and had a cousin who somehow liked the Mets, so I only went to NY?)

And I got to see Hozier. It was a heckuva time getting tickets- I'm not cut out for all of that, so it wasn't the best seat ever, but I was in the shade for the majority of the daylight hours, so I'll take it.

I'll warn you, I'm mostly posting this because my memory is crap, and I want someplace I can go back to and help remember :) So no comment on photo quality? :)

De Selby Pt 1 is incomplete, I started about halfway through to be sure I could record all of Pt 2 for her.

Followed by Francesca, and I'm frankly shocked I wasn't in tears for this. One of my favorites off U/U.

I had actually sought out a live version of It Will Come Back already, and it did not disappoint, wow.

Too Sweet, which don't get me wrong is a great song, but I'm always surprised at what makes it mainstream.

Someone New, which was very fun to hear live with everyone helping in the chorus :D

Almost (Sweet Music), lots of his band and backup vocalists.

As an aside that's not just a setlist, he called out his folks/introduced them multiple times to us, and knew all the main contributors (lighting, sound mixing, camera persons, etc) by name, it was very cool to see.

Movement, which inspired a lot of warm swaying from the crowd :D (It was so stupid warm. Damned heat dome thing)

Then, in what felt like the finale, Take Me To Church. He was actually playing the music video on the lefthand side of the onstage screen behind the band. That was the loudest crowd I'd ever heard/participated in singing "Amen" with, and probably the safest I'd ever feel in one. This one got me crying, and it was amazing.

Sorry for the extremely blurry shot, but he draped a pride flag over the mic stand and everyone left the stage, with a spotlight remaining on this, while he travelled through the crowds to a smaller stage nearer the infield!

There he asked our help for Cherry Wine, which... you're risking more inappropriate proposals, no?

And then to bring us closer to that coldest level of Hell, that we really could've used, tbh, Unknown/Nth (and the band/other vocalists came back onstage to help with this) and I definitely cried for this one.

Then we received an entreaty to exercise our democratic voices, care about our community, the LGBTQ+ community, especially our Trans siblings, to raise our voices for a ceasefire and safety for Palestine, to fight back against growing casual racism... Hearing every new thought greeted by such applause from such a huge crowd was incredible. And then we got a fantasically backed Nina Cried Power (Which I want to find someone's video for, as the visuals were good.

And our actual final song of the night, with Gigi Perez out to sing as well, was Work Song, and absolutely beautiful.

It closed with a shower of rainbow fireworks, which I got horrid pictures of mainly because I was just enjoying being there and finally pulled my phone out :-D

And as the crowd was leaving (I stayed behind 'cause I knew I'd get dizzy going down those steps in a huge crowd), everyone got to sing along to Sweet Caroline, which I obviously know as a Sox tradition, but to me was just another nice moment, as my mom only attended her first proper concert also only after reaching 40, and it was Neil Diamond himself :) (not "the" Hot August Nights as in the recordings, but an August concert in the early 90s)

This pic was from earlier in the night, but just to sum it up. I definitely think I'm too old for this sort of thing- the ticket buying process, getting to and from the stadium, this huge close crowd, esp in this ridiculous heat. But I'm so glad I did it, that I just took what I got for a ticket just so I could be there. Hozier is the one artist that I've been able to just make a playlist solely of his music to have in the bg- it's literally my reading playlist for monthly book club, for my library books, anytime I need something for noise. I associate a few of his songs with the Dark Tower for no reason other than that's what I was listening to while Roland & Cuthbert were arguing? :-D

So, if you happened to read all this, thanks. If you don't know me, and you're considering something like this for the first time, know your own limits, but I managed. I didn't need even half of the "just in case" stuff I brought with me in my little clear stadium approved bag, but I'm glad I had bandaids and my inhaler and tampons and- well okay, I did use the spray sunscreen quite frequently, and am pleased to say got zero color/burn even from sitting out for hours even partially shaded. Water was like $7-9 at Fenway though, so budget for that :-P

Going with Lucien for these, though I also answered 🌾 with Esha earlier and I still think it's v cute.

🌻 What little things do they notice about people or the world around them that make them happy? What tiny little treasures do they find in the normal every day that makes the world seem a little brighter for them?

People in general, I think! Lucien’s main piece of advice to Esha is to hold on to the people closest to her, and he really means that - the main thing that kept him sane day to day (beyond all the work Bull was doing) was little moments with the people who were important to him. Sera’s scrunched nose when she laughs, Dorian’s utterly inelegant snort when something funny catches him off-guard, Blackwall’s quiet hidden kindness towards the children they encounter on their journeys - Lucien loves all of his friends so much!

🌾 Describe your OC through the eyes of someone absolutely head-over-heels in love with them

Lucien is one of the smartest, strongest, most stubborn people Bull's ever met. Father of his daughter, best ass in Thedas, and more flexible than you'd think. Whatever duty asks of him, he just keeps on rising to meet it over and over again - though he needs someone to keep an eye on him so he doesn't get himself killed doing something stupidly self-sacrificial.

Also, he gives people way too much credit sometimes. Giving them enough rope to hang themselves with is one thing, getting himself tangled up in that same rope is another.

(Among other reasons for that last line is the fact that Lucien was dead set on the atonement ending for Solas, and after witnessing Lucien’s extremely painful near-death at Halamshiral, Bull was very much not.)

💫What is your favourite fact about this character and why?

One of the fun things with Lucien as a character is that I didn’t mean to romance the Iron Bull with him at all - I made him specifically for a Dorianmance run, as a sweet but overall lighthearted guy who could come in and balance Dorian out. But he was my first human playthrough as well, and the first one where I felt I could really toy with the idea of someone who actually believed in Andrastianism. He ended up taking his role waaaaay more seriously than I’d planned, to the extent that it felt like Dorian’s romance would be lovely but also add more stress onto an already large pile.

And then Bull popped up, and somehow I’d never noticed the entire Charger war table questline in my earlier playthroughs?? So I finally got that going, and the idea of having an RPG love interest who was not only relatively easygoing but actively took work off your plate instead of adding onto it? Yeah. Lucien fell hard, and so did I.

The future of sera myu

In a reblog and other posts I have already thought about what could happen next with sera myu.

As already mentioned, I think a remake of, say, Kaguya Shima Densetsu or the Draucul arc is unlikely. Since the rights to those belong to Bandai. To be honest, I also doubt that Naoko Takeuchi would agree to a completely new story.

Of course it would be cool to have a musical about Silver Millennium, Sailor V or Crystal Tokyo. The Silver Millennium mainly features the ball scenes from Gaiden, La Reconquista and NogiMyu. It would be interesting to have a musical where Princess Serenity and Prince Endymion meet, fall in love, and the downfall of the Silver Millennium occurs. One could also include the senshi Shitennou romance that Naoko Takeuchi loves so much. (Why do you think La Reconquista was able to take so many liberties and why the romance plays such an important role?)

For Sailor V, the Sailor V manga would serve as a original. However, it's not as well-known or popular as the main series. Especially since it would be primarily for fans of Minako/Sailor V/Sailor Venus. A other point that a Sailor V anime was planned twice and both times it was scrapped.

At Crystal Tokyo, Chibiusa's future and the future of the Sailor Moon characters in general would probably be interesting.

The longer I think about it, the more I want these musicals.I don't think the second to fifth story arcs will be adapted into the Nogizaka version. They wanted a musical featuring the awakening of the senshi, and that's what happened. It just featured well-known idols as the senshi. All generations of Nogizaka (except the 6th generation which only exists since February 2025) are represented in the Sailor Moon musical. Of course, it's possible they'll actually make a sixth and seventh version. But whether that will actually happen...maybe they think five versions are enough.

Reworking the fourth arc in Nogizaka's version would be boring. There are already five versions of the first story arc. Especially since the adaptation wouldn't differ from the musicals from 2014 to 2017, except that the effects would be very extreme and the actresses would be different. There are now at least two musicals for every story arc: one from Bandai and one from Nelke Planning.

Whether they'll expand Sailor Moon: The Super Live and perhaps bring the other story arcs closer to international fans in musical form is another question. It's surprising anyway that they've rewritten The Super Live so drastically and received much more attention than it did a few years ago. For the first time, filming and photography at the end were permitted. An earlier musical cast was used for the US tour. Especially since Naoko Takeuchi was present at several performances in the USA.

But a good idea popped into my head. It probably won't be implemented, but it's fun to think about (and mourn that it will never exist.)

Summary: Ezra and Seraphina have agreed to dinner. He cooks, she serves the liquor.

Ezra was two minutes early. He’d made his shrimp gumbo, the fragrance of the spices seeped out from under the top that jiggled when he walked up her stairs. Seraphina insisted that he come in through the front.

“Guests come in through the front door. Those you want to hide enter in the back.” She told him as they planned for the evening.

Ezra retorted, “Even if I were to enter from the rear my dear Sundrop, my presence would be known no matter my status. I don’t mind if you feel the need to hide me, as long as I am allowed in.” He’d left her with that line after they made plans to have dinner that night.

His wore a pair of black slacks with a white t-shirt, it hugged his biceps and chest, with a v-neck that dipped and exposed his collarbone. It glistened with the humidity almost as brightly as the smile he had when he stood on her front porch, a bottle of Jack Daniels was under his arm. The nurse opened the door, took the bottle and stepped back to allow him in. Her guest was right on time, a good thing as she’d just taken the biscuits out of the oven and buttered them.

Ezra removed his black shoes and followed her into the kitchen, the smell of the bread dancing on his nose, more powerful than that, was whatever perfume or oil that his Sundrop was wearing. It smelled the same as when he met her in person earlier today. Her hair was tied up in a ponytail this time, not in a tight bun. It lightly swayed along with her hips as she walked, her left shoulder had a mole that he noted, no tattoos that he saw. The dress she wore was bright, a royal blue draped across her curves. She might say too generous and too chunky, Ezra felt they were just fine, more for him to hold and explore - when the time was right.

Setting his pot on the stove, she asked if he wanted a plate or a bowel for his gumbo. He chuckled and told her bowel of course. Full lips formed a smile as she shook her head, the muted red on her lips drew his eyes to them.

The pair sat down to eat, starting with the basics, last names, birthdays, and favorite liquor. Neither of them mentioned why they ended up on their respective spots across the lake yet. The conversation then shifted to family, Sera described her parents and brothers. Ezra was estranged from his and wasn’t sure if he was alive or not. They were never close. His charge Cee or his ‘Birdie’ is his family now. He expressed that he wasn’t never sure he would ever feel truly proud in life but he did with her. His eyes that had twinkles of lust changed to excitement in regaling Seraphina with her accomplishments.

Watching him become so animated where he’s been relaxed was a treat to see so the nurse enjoyed. He spoke a bit about his airboat captain and touring before inquiring as to what she did. She left it as being a medical- surgical nurse in a hospital. He could he feelings were mixed, but he didn’t press. It was still too early. Instead it switched to relationships which neither of them were in.

“Ezra, I don’t know if I should trust a man who can cook so well.” Sera sighs after finishing a second helping of the shrimp gumbo. She shouldn’t haven’t eaten so much but it was delicious along with the lemonade she made.

Ezra swallowed the last spoons of his second bowel and sat back, full of confidence, “It would be wise to be wary but you can enjoy the food you have now. You might find you want another taste later Sundrop.” He picked up a biscuit and split it open, drizzling honey on it and biting into it, licking the sticky substance off his lip. “I find myself with an ache to sample a vision I’ve often seen. I wager it would hands down beat that flavor of this honey.” A drop had stuck to his finger so he sucked it off, audibly.

Seraphina knew it was a dangerous game inviting a man like Ezra into her home. It had been a bad idea to keep watching him from her porch but she still did that as well. She had remained curious about him, the familiarity of his hunted look. She went to wash dishes which Ezra soundly told her “No Seraphina I’ll take care of them.” He’d been calling her different nicknames during the evening and it was their first time since the afternoon he’s said her name, she thanked him and grabbed two glasses with the liquor gifted by her guest and headed to her back porch where he joined moments later.

“Join me on the porch since you like to be licking your fingers like that. Acting like you’re a savory nightcap you rascal.” Her chuckle as they plopped down on the whicker bench led the airboat captain to speak after he observed the sky, the sun had long dipped beneath the horizon and small stars dotted the darkening canvas above them.

“We’ve been each other’s nightcap for six weeks Moonbeam. I don’t foresee that changing in the immediate future. Our distance has decreased.” Sipping on his first glass of the night, his arm extended along the back of the bench, not touching Sera’s shoulders but close enough where she could sense his heat.

“It has. I am eager to know why you’re up in the late hours like I am,” her inquiry began, “since you’ve warned me to be wary.” The slow gulp from her liquor had Ezra contemplate how much to say if anything at all, even where to start.

“That I did Moonbeam. You should be cautious of my motives, but I can start at the beginning of my troubles for you if you like.” He placed his hand on hers, running up her arm to her shoulder and drew a small circle around her mole. “Be forewarned, the past is neither rosy nor glamorous. It is fraught with hardship, double-crosses and some death.”

Moonbeam grinned, nodding as he spoke, “Sounds like a thriller Ezra. I’m all ears. Add a dash of romance and some mistaken identity and you have yourself a movie marathon.”

“I’m sure you’d be riveted to hear it.”

“That I would.” Moonbeam crosses her legs and leans forward, touching his chin with a finger, “Speak.”

The night continued into the daylight as they sat exchanging stories, laughing as they drank. Eventually they parted, with Ezra heading back to his home as they waved at each other from the respective screen doors. This time, there was a definite promise to meet again and they would in a few days. This time his house would be open to Seraphina and he’d welcome her with warm food, open arms and more laughter.

These nights turned into days over the subsequent weeks with greater frequency as Ezra and Seraphina spent more time together.

okay so I’m going to be honest with you, I’m totally dogshit at developing worldbuilding!! like, I always put this off to the very end, so it’s going to be a bit reflective of that when I talk try to yap about it. (also I literally started reworking metamorphosis around a year or so ago so it’s still a little new)

anyways onto Seras:

⟢⠀The planet was once very plentiful and vibrant, full of magic that generated power throughout the land, bringing an abundance of crops and rich plant life throughout the regions. But, as it always seems to go, with the greed and corruption of humankind, the magic dimmed and darkened. It is not known exactly when or how, but from the greed came zombie-like creatures known as Noroi. It was these very things that almost brought the complete destruction of Seras as we know it.

⟢⠀And so the planet was sent into a long period of darkness. Technology was lost, the economy fell, nations crumbled to dust; and those with the knowledge of society from before, during the time when things were as they should be, when magic was thriving, died off.

⟢⠀The world, finally attempting to recover from the apocalypse thrust upon it, has gained some semblance of normalcy. It’s developed different borders, the population is slowly but surely rebuilding itself, laws have been formed, as well as different religious and cultural groups forming.

⟢⠀Now onto a bit of an explanation of that (I’m sorry this is so rambly):

⟢⠀There are eight major regions that split up Seras. Aquilon (in the very north, extremely cold and icy), Dara (close to the northwest, full of mountains and forestry), Xanthos (the desert), Inanis (a continent submerged in water), Leios (prairies), Caerulia (a continent that lives in the sky), Litorelle (the tropics), and Eposa (the Mediterranean).

⟢⠀Yara Reyes, the protagonist of Metamorphosis, is from Dara, which is a region full of mountains, forests, and what once could be described as greenery. Of course, with the rot corrupting the world’s core, the trees and other plant life that currently grows is twisted and poisoned by the effects of Noroi. It’s at the start of the story that she travels through this continent to get to the second major region inside the story, which is Eposa.

⟢⠀Eposa (and a lot of the worldbuilding) takes inspiration from Ancient Greece, especially with the architecture. This region is the one that the Seventh Sector resides inside, so it’s the place that the main characters stay the most.

⟢⠀Because Seras is post-apocalyptic, pretty much all the advanced technology that had been created before the birth of Noroi was lost. Transportation consists mainly of trains and boats, as well as walking. Not the most convenient method, but in a world battling from demons and spirits dedicated to feeding off their souls, they have bigger issues.

And that’s about all I can think to write about rn!! I’m sorry if this is super nonsensical and all over the place, I’ve literally never talked about my worldbuilding before. If you have any questions about the magic system, belief system, etc etc I’d be happy to answer! I literally just have no clue what I should include in this lol

currently on a semi-hiatus bc my best efforts at tagging and filtering are still letting stuff sneak through, but i have avoided most spoilers

this is relevant bc i truly do not know if there is any feasible way for sera week prompts to be answered with content from the new game. i do not know, and i do not want to know. pls don't tell me!

but i ask that if your creations have anything to do with the new game, you tag them as such. this ofc includes spoilers, but also stuff inspired by the new game, such as:
