𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐭: "hows my hair?" 𝐋𝐨𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: tbd !! 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐬: closed for marcus flint ( @hoggleswart )
Tumblr media
"m-marcus flint? like the marcus flint? of the falmuoth falcons?" basil squeezes her hand as the pair of them stare in awe at the quidditch player - both were keen fans of the sport and though not necessarily a follower of the falcons, she was a fan nonetheless. looking at moira, you wouldn't know about the quidditch match memorabilia that decorates her home, the books on a game she would never dare play herself littering the bookshelves. their question lingered in the back of her mind as she had an inner squeal to herself, basil most definitely doing the same, before clearing her throat and gesturing to the player's appearance. "your hair? it's fine, perfect even. a little windswept, but who doesn't like a bit of adventure in their look, yes?"

"i’m going to pretend you didn’t say that. " @hoggleswart / Marcus
"What, am I wrong?" Damien shrugs, then he laughs. He crosses his arms, almost as if to challenge the one across from him. "Quidditch, like most sports, are useless and serve no actual purpose in society."

𝐋𝐨𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: falmouth players' house, garden !! 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐬: closed for marcus flint - @hoggleswart !! 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐭: i mean seriously, what do they expect, you know?
Tumblr media
"maybe they want you to be a decent human being for once, marcus?" leaning back in her chair, the keeper lifts the bottle of cider to her lips as she eyes the other player, a brow lifting. she shakes her head and turns to watch the other players pass a quaffle between one-another above them, dark eyes hidden behind a pair of sunglasses borrowed from her younger sister - a little oversized and certainly not minnie's style. "they want you to show a little compassion, you know? a smile here, a sympathetic i understand and a little affection. even that's not too hard for you."

i. plot drop
the  date  is  13  /  01  /  2031.  hogwarts  university's  reopening  casts  long  shadows  across  the  wizarding  world.  there  is  a  wrongness  here  that  seeps  through  every  crack,  every  shadow,  a  corruption  that  runs  deeper  than  mere  darkness. dolores  umbridge  emerges  from  the  gloom,  freed  from  azkaban's  depths  by  voldemort's  coup.  her  poisonous  pink  robes,  preserved  through  decades  of  imprisonment,  seem  to  mock  the  very  concept  of  color.  each  click  of  her  heels  against  ancient  stone  echoes  with  terrible  purpose  as  she  takes  her  place  at  the  gates,  that  signature  simpering  smile  unchanged  by  time  or  torment.  beside  her  looms  marcus  flint—now  deputy  headmaster—a  shadow  given  form,  his  old  quidditch-field  brutality  refined  into  something  more  calculated,  more  precise  in  its  cruelty. they  welcome  students  both  new  and  returning,  though  'welcome'  rings  hollow,  false  as  fool's  gold.  all  of  them  know  what  awaits  within.
in  her  office,  where  kitten  plates  mew  in  disturbing  unison,  umbridge  presides  over  both  administrative  duties  and  interrogations  with  the  same  saccharine  smile.  the  screams  that  sometimes  echo  from  behind  her  closed  door  blend  seamlessly  with  the  cats'  endless  song.  below,  in  what  was  once  minerva  mcgonagall's  transfiguration  classroom,  flint  cultivates  his  network  of  informants  with  practiced  precision. the  carrow  sisters  have  made  the  dungeons  their  domain,  a  nightmare  realm  where  their  family's  legacy  lives  on  in  flesh  and  blood  and  screams.  flora's  "disciplinary  sessions"  in  the  old  potions  classroom  have  become  legendary,  each  new  technique  more  creative  than  the  last.  across  the  corridor,  hestia's  dark  arts  lessons  focus  on  practical  application,  using  detained  "troublemakers"  as  unwilling  subjects  for  increasingly  vicious  curses. even  the  room  of  requirement  bears  the  scars  of  this  transformation.  it  appears  now  only  for  the  knights  who  have  claimed  it  as  their  sanctuary,  its  walls  remembering  the  purpose  they  once  served  in  darker  days.  the  erinyes  seethe  with  blood-boiling  fury  at  this  perceived  betrayal,  their  exclusion  only  fueling  their  determination  to  reclaim  it.
in  the  great  hall,  beneath  a  ceiling  that  no  longer  reflects  the  sky  but  a  yawning  darkness,  students  sit  in  rigid  rows.  some  bear  visible  marks  of  "disciplinary  measures"—scars  from  blood  quills  carved  into  their  skin,  others  twitch  with  the  lingering  effects  of  cruciatus  exposure.  most  have  learned  to  keep  their  eyes  downcast,  their  voices  hushed,  their  thoughts  buried  deep  where  even  the  most  skilled  legilimens  might  not  find  them.
the  date  is  20  /  01  /  2031.  in  the  weeks  since  the  destruction  of  the  veil,  there  has  been  disquiet  in  the  wizarding  world.  tension,  taught  as  a  bowstring.  hushed  whispers  and  hurried  steps.  in  the  ministry's  halls,  portraits  whisper  of  strange  sounds  echoing  from  the  department  of  mysteries.  aurors  report  increasing  numbers  of  dark  magic  detections  across  britain.  owls  refuse  to  fly  after  sunset,  and  even  the  ghosts  of  hogwarts  have  grown  restless  and  afraid.  though  many  have  their  suspicions,  only  a  select  few  are  privy  to  the  dark  truth.  the  man  once  known  as  tom  marvolo  riddle  has  cheated  death  a  second  time  and  walks  amongst  the  living,  restored.
but  he  has  grown  weary  of  his  half-life,  and  of  lurking  in  shadows.  weeks  of  watching  from  darkness,  of  gathering  strength,  of  testing  the  limits  of  this  new  form  death  has  granted  him.  weeks  of  hearing  reports  of  his  enemies  moving  freely  through  the  world  he  means  to  rule.  there's  one  name  on  his  lips  —  spoken  in  the  dead  of  night  like  a  curse,  whispered  in  the  dawn  like  a  prayer,  repeated  endlessly  until  it  becomes  a  mantra  of  obsession  —  and  a  single-minded  determination  drives  him  through  the  streets  of  london  like  an  animal  on  the  hunt.  he  sets  out  to  strike  at  the  heart  of  the  order.  harun  polat.  saviour.  martyr.  once  boy,  now  man.
they  face  one-another  as  equals,  their  souls  no  longer  tethered,  and  raise  their  wands  in  an  echo  of  a  battle  long-since  won.  spells  illuminate  the  morning  air  like  deadly  fireworks.  shields  shatter  and  reform.  the  crowd  scatters  in  panic  as  two  of  the  most  powerful  wizards  alive  duel  in  the  heart  of  diagon  alley.  the  wraiths  emerge  from  shadows  to  form  a  perimeter,  while  order  members  apparate  in  to  protect  civilians.  magic  crackles  between  the  combatants,  beautiful  and  terrible.
but  neither  see  a  figure  emerging  from  the  thick  of  the  fight,  and  neither  are  fast  enough  to  change  their  course.  rubeus  hagrid,  keeper  of  keys  and  grounds  at  hogwarts,  moves  with  surprising  grace  for  one  so  large.  lord  voldemort  howls  in  fury  as  harun  polat  slips  through  his  fingers,  yet  again.  the  sound  shakes  windows  and  cracks  cobblestones,  and  as  though  in  unison,  harun  howls  as  he  is  dragged  from  the  battlefield  and  from  where  rubeus  hagrid  lies  dying  —  another  in  the  long  line  of  those  who've  slipped  from  this  mortal  coil  so  that  he  might  live  on.  his  friend's  last  words  echo  in  his  ears:  "yeh  won't  take  'im  again!"  even  as  order  members  pull  him  to  safety  through  desperate  apparition.
in  the  aftermath,  the  wizarding  world  faces  an  uncomfortable  truth:  their  nightmare  has  returned,  wearing  beauty  like  a  mask  over  madness.  and  somewhere  in  london,  harun  polat  kneels  beside  the  still  form  of  his  oldest  friend.  hagrid's  body  lay  where  he  fell,  peaceful  as  if  sleeping,  covered  in  gently  falling  snow.  in  death,  he  had  accomplished  what  he'd  spent  his  life  doing:  protecting  harun  from  the  dark  lord's  reach.
the  date  is  22  /  01  /  2031.  the  dungeons  of  hogwarts  castle  have  long  echoed  with  screams,  but  tonight  they  ring  with  battle  cries  and  spellfire.  flora  carrow's  reign  of  terror  ends  in  flames  and  fury,  her  reputation  for  cruelty  preceding  her  like  a  poisonous  shadow.  her  "remedial  sessions"  are  spoken  of  in  whispers,  her  innovations  in  torture  surpassing  even  the  notorious  legacy  of  her  predecessors,  amycus  and  alecto,  in  their  capacity  for  creative  torment.
but  even  monsters  must  fall.
the  erinyes  move  like  vengeful  spirits  through  torch-lit  corridors,  their  attack  precise  and  merciless.  flora  carrow,  for  all  her  cruelty,  never  sees  them  coming.  perhaps  she  believed  herself  untouchable  within  these  stone  walls  that  have  witnessed  so  much  suffering.  perhaps  she  thought  her  family  name  would  protect  her,  as  it  has  so  many  times  before.
through  secret  passages  and  hidden  doors,  the  knights  of  the  round  table  guide  terrified  students  to  safety  as  battle  erupts  between  the  wraiths  and  the  erinyes.  their  silver  daemons  prowl  the  shadows,  offering  comfort  and  direction  to  those  who  flee  the  growing  storm  of  combat.  they  move  with  practiced  efficiency,  their  evacuation  routes  planned  and  rehearsed  in  countless  midnight  meetings.
but  fate  has  other  plans.
abigail  wood  stands  tall  in  ravenclaw  blue  and  bronze,  her  silver  fox  daemon  alert  at  her  side.  oliver  wood's  daughter  has  inherited  all  of  her  father's  courage  and  determination.  when  a  group  of  first-years  finds  themselves  caught  between  clashing  spells,  she  doesn't  hesitate.
the  killing  curse  flies  from  an  erinyes  wand,  meant  for  flora  carrow's  heart.  instead,  it  finds  abigail's,  her  body  falling  in  a  graceful  arc  that  seems  to  last  an  eternity.  her  daemon  dissolves  like  starlight  on  water,  its  final  cry  echoing  through  chambers  that  have  heard  too  much  pain  already.  her  wand  clatters  against  ancient  stone,  the  sound  somehow  louder  than  the  battle  raging  around  them.
for  one  terrible  moment,  the  world  holds  its  breath.
the  knights  break  first,  their  cries  of  anguish  bouncing  off  dungeon  walls  that  have  absorbed  so  many  screams  before.  the  erinyes  member  who  cast  the  curse  stands  frozen,  horror  etched  into  every  line  of  their  face  as  they  realize  what  they've  done.  they  have  become  what  they  sought  to  destroy  —  dealers  of  death  to  the  innocent.
her  death—the  first  knight  to  fall  at  erinyes  hands—sends  ripples  through  both  factions.  the  knights  mourn  a  sister;  the  erinyes  face  the  horror  of  killing  one  they  had  sworn  to  protect.  what  began  as  an  act  of  justice  has  birthed  its  own  tragedy,  a  cruel  reminder  that  vengeance  carries  its  own  price.
in  the  hospital  wing,  abigail  lies  in  state,  her  ravenclaw  quidditch  robes  draped  across  her  like  a  shroud.  her  fellow  knights  maintain  their  vigil,  their  silver  daemons  clustered  close,  as  if  their  presence  might  somehow  call  back  her  departed  soul.  her  father  arrives  at  dawn,  his  face  carved  from  grief.  but  in  another  corner  of  the  castle,  a  different  kind  of  grief  takes  root.  hestia  carrow  stands  in  her  sister's  office,  her  fingers  trailing  over  flora's  precise  lesson  plans,  her  meticulous  records  of  pain  inflicted  and  lessons  taught.  their  shared  darkness  had  bound  them  together  since  childhood,  twin  shadows  in  a  world  that  never  understood  their  devotion  to  the  old  ways.  now  that  bond  lies  severed,  and  something  terrible  blooms  in  its  place.
hestia's  scream  of  rage  echoes  through  the  castle  like  a  banshee's  wail,  her  magic  exploding  outward  in  waves  of  raw  fury  that  shatter  windows  and  crack  stone.  where  flora's  cruelty  was  precise,  calculated,  hestia's  grief  transforms  into  something  wild  and  uncontrolled.  she  vows  to  hunt  down  every  member  of  the  erinyes,  to  make  them  suffer  as  she  suffers.  her  sister's  death  has  unleashed  something  far  more  dangerous  than  flora's  measured  malice  —  a  vengeful  fury  that  threatens  to  consume  everything  in  its  path.

iii. faction-specific missions
THE ORDER OF THE STAG : the weight of their secret weighs heavy on the minds of the order members, many of whom are questioning the decision to keep harun in the dark — doubly so in light of recent events. meanwhile, a power-struggle ensues between their leaders and a restored albus dumbledore. loyalties are divided.
THE KNIGHTS OF THE ROUND TABLE : having caught wind of the erinyes plans, the knights launch a rescue mission to usher students and teachers out of the castle through secret passageways — some of the rescued are friends, some are foe. new allegiances are formed, and old wounds are re-opened.
THE ERINYES : the erinyes launch an attack on hogwarts castle and murder flora carrow, eager to send a message to the wraiths and to assert themselves as the champions of justice. however, when a knight is caught in the cross-fire, some grow wary of the new way of things. there is innocent blood on their hands now. how much further will they be willing to go?
THE WRAITHS : the wraiths follow their resurrected master into battle with blind faith that a new dawn is finally upon them. but when harun polat escapes yet again, some begin to whisper of an alternative faction on the rise and wonder whether their loyalties may be better placed elsewhere.
THE NEPHILIM : with their various enemies in disarray, the nephilim seize the opportunity to grow their numbers and whisper in the ears of wraiths and erinyes alike.

Six Pomegranate Seeds by Seselt

At the end, something happened. Hermione clutches at one fraying thread, uncertain whether she is Arachne or Persephone. What she does know is that she will keep fighting to protect her friends even if she must walk a dark path.

Notes: If this story has a million fans, I'm one of them; if this story has one fan, it's me; if this story has no fan, I'm dead. Basically, Hogwarts scoops up canon Hermione at the battle and drops her mind in the body of a pureblood 11 yo who dies. Hermione keeps her alive and brings her to Hogwarts to prevent what the school says will destroy it in the final battle. I love this story so much. I've read it more than ten times. I always find something new on each reread. I just love it!!!
There's also a sequel that wraps everything up nicely as well:
Bouquet of Asphodels by Seselt
Summary:
Hermione Granger wears Cathal Rosier like a flayed skin, unsure which one of them is the puppet. But there is still work to be done and revenge sings a siren call to the survivors of both sides of the Second Wizarding War. If Hermione cannot have her day in court then she will have her season in Hell.
(This is part of my year of recs. I'm trying to share some of my favorite stories on tumblr. I've set up a series of Soulmate recs for each month on the 15th, but these will be randomly dispersed throughout the year.)

Hunger Games x FlintWood Au
Hi if you're new, a long time ago I came up with an idea of a FlintWood Au set in the hunger games and I made two posts with images just to give this Au a face, I also started a fic called "Dream Brother" which I posted in Ao3 trying to follow this idea (which got stranded in chapter 8 with a very bad English).
But you know what, screw my fic hahahahahahahahahahaha, no matter how much I've done to get free time, nothing comes out of my head, not because I don't even know how to continue it, no, in my head I put together a three part plot of that fic to save me all that planning time because I'm a little stressed and burned out because my university and my only problem is that I don't know how to develop it.
And after surviving a category 5 hurricane, where my life passed in a span of 3 hours and I went without electricity for more than two weeks after that, I don't want to stay without telling you the thread of this story or even without telling you the ideas I had.
So Welcome to a post explaining all the plot I had for this story.
Starting in my idea about a three parts plot for Dream Brother was to focus in each part on one of the three main characters of the story having clearly still the focus on FlintWood and his development
Part.1: Marcus (his first games and how he met Oliver as well as their development while participating in the games for his sister) - here
Part 2: Daphne (On her attempt to get out as a district escort in the ministry)
Part 3: Adrian (In his development in the last games that i had planned for the story, before the fall of the ministry)
Part 1.
If you come from my fic you know very well what the thing was about, if not, Marcus Flint is 24 years old is from district seven and lives with his mother (who is a winner) and his younger sister in the winner's village, in Marcus's last reaping his sister is chosen to participate in the games, so in an attempt to try to be a good brother he applies the "I offer myself as a tribute" so that his sister does not go because she is only 14 years old, but it does not work out so well since being sections of women and men separated he has no choice but to also participate in the games as a partner of his sister, obviously after this, he travels to the ministry (tribute parade and training sessions) and he begins to meet the other important characters for the part.
Daphne Greengrass: The girl escort of district 6 which particularly is 21 years old and for Marcus is strange that someone so young is escort, has been working in the games for 6 years and has been the youngest to start.
Adrian Pucey: His mentor in the games which Marcus knows relatively well as they are almost "neighbors", he won his games when he was 16 years old and since he started being a mentor has not led anyone to victory.
Oliver Wood: The aforementioned Oliver Wood the boy from district 4 whom Marcus finds particularly attractive and good at fighting but stupidly sentimental and that he has his moral code of not killing anyone in the games.
Percy Weasley: The mentor of district 4, Oliver's best friend since childhood and who always seems to be about to die of stress because no one listens to him, bad at fighting but stupidly smart.
Demelza Robinson: Oliver's district partner and Oliver's childhood friend, good fighter who seems to look down on everyone with hatred and has a thing against Marcus' sister.
Cassius Warrington: The tribute from district 6, who ends up creating a friendship with Marcus and he is afraid of heights.
Sally Ann Perks: The girl from district 2 who should be part of the prefects but hates her district partner and preferred to stay away, good at animal trapping
Lucian Bole and Astoria Greengrass: The two stylists of his district.
Katie Bell: The escort of district 4 that Marcus doesn't consider a ministry girl as with Daphne since there seems to be something different with her.
The prefects: The alliance of the first two districts consisting of Perengrine Derrick (District 1), Millicent Bulstrode (District 1), Miles Bletchey (District 2).
Leanne Moore: Warrington's District partner, whom Marcus considers the most unnoticed of all, Warrington says he doesn't know her very well but Leanne knows Cass very well.
Colin Creevey: The youngest of the District 8 tributes, bad at fighting but seems to know everything about everyone.
Lavander Brown: Colin Creevey's district mate, not a blunt threat.
Theodore Nott: District 1 stylist, friend? Of Daphne, it's his third year working at the games.
Blaise Zabini: District 1 Escort, one of Daphne's best friends who started working for the games long after she did, this is his second year working for the games.
For the interviews the plan that Adrian and Daphne put together for Marcus and Amelia is to follow a game of brothers who would kill for each other being a team, but thanks to the interview of Demelza and Oliver (who were going to invent a romance to look for a minimal chance of both surviving) which goes wrong, Rita Skeeter (the host) end up making a broken phone and making the public believe that who Oliver is really possibly in love with is Marcus and not his partner, this plan changes.
Percy trying to save Oliver's reputation (and without either of his two tributes knowing it) asks Adrian to play along with the idea, Daphne refuses to go along, possibly endangering Amelia, but Adrian sees it as an opportunity to get sponsors and convinces Marcus to play along.
A fight between Marcus and Oliver after the interview because of the way Marcus talked about Oliver, who although he managed to follow the game and get involved in a rumor of a love trio between Demelza, Oliver and him, Oliver is annoyed by the way he referred to him, making him look like a "girl" and Marcus is also angry with him because according to him he is doing him a favor and the other one doesn't thank him.
When the games start they have no choice but to continue with the facade of the lovers, a lot of context about Amelia and Marcus's past, the death of his father, blah blah sentimental stuff.
Development between Marcus and Oliver's relationship that they end up taking being alone a lot of the time.
Sally Anne asks Marcus for an alliance with the only condition that he helps her to kill Miles Bletchey and she would also help in "protecting" her sister if the occasion arises, Warrigton joins them and puts the condition that they do not kill Leanne if she is found and promises that neither she nor Warrigton will do anything to her sister as well as she will help to get rid of Bletchey and the prefects, friendship is friend that cute the ones from Slytherin and AJA.
And here starts to be the thing, the prefects are always 4 or more, never of the never are less, so to Sally Anne not being with them, the rumor was armed that possibly someone else is the four prefect but nobody knows who can be, Marcus really does not trust anyone in the games, the only ones he trusts apart from his sister is Warrington, a little Sally Anne and obviously Oliver.
Because of Oliver, who clearly tells him about Demelza and how they've known each other for years and how he promises him that he can trust her too, Marcus starts to trust Demelza but Amelia doesn't, siblings fight, doesn't matter much because in the end they see that Demelza after being alone with the two of them hasn't done anything and the thing goes on.
Marcus after Cassius is killed starts to doubt that someone is telling his plans, but for him that doesn't make sense either because in reality NOBODY has seen them enough and the only person that Marcus told a little of their plans of where they were going to go or what they were going to do is Oliver, Sally Anne is killed after she killed Millicent in her tried to killed Bletchey (yes she left him whitouts a part of his arm) and the thing started to get more suspicious towards Oliver, because none of the two remaining male prefects went.
When the games advance a little more the news that two tributes from the same district can survive realese, because of some problems and traps Amelia was with Oliver and Marcus just trying to find her in the most desperate way after that news, Amelia panics to be alone with Oliver and although the other tells him not to worry that he will help her to find Marcus and each one will be for his side after that, Demelza arrives and tries to attack Amelia but she manages to escape.
There is a fight between Oliver and Demelza because that was not part of his plan and he was not going to let her kill Marcus' sister, Demelza is angry because if it is not Amelia and Marcus it will be some of them who will end up dead and both of them end up going their separate ways.
Just when Marcus finds Amelia she is killed by Derrick turning Marcus endless feelings and changing his plans.
No, he still has the idea that he won't win, but if people are unfair he will be unfair too and literally now he starts looking to kill any of the tributes he comes across (there were about 8 counting Marcus) and mostly the perfect ones, with the exception of Oliver and Demelza who are the only couple left as tributes and literally the only chance for two of them to survive.
He is doing them the favor just to get even for the prefects killed his sister, a fight between Oliver and Demelza, because Oliver starts to question how they knew where Amelia had gone if the last ones to see her were the two of them and the cannon sounded in less than an hour, and Demelza tells him to stop fooling around and from now on they better stay together, since they are the only pair of tributes left alive.
Marcus in his hunt for the prefects meets Bletchey who ends up being afraid and tells him the whole truth that the fourth prefect all this time had been Demelza who promised them to finish with Marcus in exchange for leaving Oliver alive until the end and if there are no more tributes left than them because clearly it was going to be combat only between them.
Marcus gets angry with Demelza but most of all with Oliver because in all this time he only trusted her because of Oliver and he thinks that Oliver surely knew all that too.
Most of the remaining ones die, Marcus finally meets Demelza at a time when Oliver was not there, difficult fight in which Oliver arrives later and obviously on Demelza's side, because he won't let them kill his friend (And he doesn't understand what's going on) quidditch symbolism between the guardian and a chaser, because Oliver's fight style is not to kill but to protect and protect himself while Marcus is a direct attack.
He leaves Oliver badly wounded and out of the fight and Marcus finally manages to kill Demelza (with a very iconic phrase that he had in his mind because the story is called Dream Brother for a reason) BUT he doesn't kill Oliver, literally Oliver almost almost asks him to kill him, because he doesn't know at what moment they got to that point but Marcus doesn't listen to him and literally tells him a furtive threat that he will live with everything that happened there and leaves.
Marcus is left bad after that fight so when he meets Drerrick who is the last one left, the fight gets a little complicated, he leaves Marcus almost dead but Oliver arrives to save him.
Drerrick dies and here the show begins, it's easy for Marcus to say that simply if Oliver isn't going to kill him he can leave him to bleed out and likewise he's going to die leaving Oliver the winner, but Oliver does neither, a drama because Oliver out of nowhere starts crying and Marcus is confused because he doesn't know what the hell is going on and why the other is crying.
Oliver is the really pretty when you cry
And Oliver says loudly that if Marcus dies he dies too, still going on with the lovers drama (which escalated because everyone in the ministry thought the whole Marcus sister dying is was actually the love triangle and Demelz trying to get Oliver) Marcus tells him what the hell he's doing and to cut the crap, the most forced kiss of life and the only one they give each other in all this time, a slight fight and a struggle between the two because Oliver literally tries to kill himself to manipulate the ministry because not being from the same obvious district the one winner rule came back.
Oliver my less suicidal friend almost bleeds to death because he didn't lie that if there weren't two winners there wouldn't be any and finally they decree them both winners despite being from different districts and obviously before Marcus faints bleeding to death Oliver informs him that he is also going to live with everything he did there.
And end of the story with the first part.
This is just from everything that happened in the games but I was also going to add the lives of the people in the ministry, Adrian and Daphne trying to get sponsors which didn't seem to be difficult because Marcus is a favorite, which is weird to Daphne.
An existential feud between Daphne and in her life because obviously Daphne is not just an escort if not being used for other things, all the bullshit involved in being called a Hallow.
In my story I put that Hallows, are certain winners who do their little jobs with people from the ministry (the favorites), the term is supposed to be used only with the winners but they also started to use it with Daphne as she is Tom Riddle's favorite, which is like an insult to her because she is not from the districts if not a citizen of the ministry, and Daphne actually can almost influence for many things in the games because of her closeness with Riddle.
My less depressive friend Adrian positing after Amelia is killed that this is the precise reason he never wants to return to the ministry every year.
How it really affected both Adrian and most of all Daphne the death of Amelia even though the latter only knew her less than a week, parallels between Daphne/Astoria and Marcus/Amelia.
A rumor starts to spread within the ministry as apparently the Flint surname has been heard since before Marcus arrived, which is the reason why Daphne start to investigaste that part an that.
I really regret not being able to finish that fic, I really wanted to finish it but I don't want to do something ugly either hahahaha, because I'm not the best writer, I had thought about everything else but let's go in parts and relax, anyway hahahahahaha if there are curiosities I'm open to questions, I never refuse.
I even have a saved pinterest pin of costumes, I really liked the image I had of Oliver's costume in they interviews, 10/10 looks in my head, i probably post that later.

the thread was kinda fucked over by tumblr being stupid but basically, alicia has tried to fight marcus flint three sperate times.
the first time she's in 2nd year, only a reserve and because of that, her mouth is ready and you have charlie weasley who is just .... shooketh that this 5'0 2nd year punches Marcus Flint? like ... HUH
the second time it's 3rd year and once again, Alicia and Marcus have words - it's not pretty at all, and she's about to punch him when - bam teacher shows up, detention for her.
THE FINAL TIME is after draco malfoy calls hermione a mudblood. she tells the WHOLE slytherin team she'd hex them, Marcus calls her out, and so she punches him square in the face. she's now 5'3.

Co-Dependent
| muse: Marcus Flint | open to: anyone | sexuality: bisexual | suggested connections: non-slytherin student, quidditch team mate, ex, crush, someone he hooks up with
Tumblr media
“You can’t just stop talking to me like that. You’ve made me bloody co-dependant and then you cut me off!” he knew he was causing a scene but they were off Hogwarts property, he was done walking on eggshells. “I’m not the best fucking person, I know that,” he back the other up into a corner, “But shout at me, yell at me, let's get it all out. We can fuck it out, I don’t even care I just can’t stand the cold shoulder shit.” He’d done it to them, but god he didn’t realize how badly it would hurt. How had the tables turned so quickly?

❛  oi , let’s bet on it.  ❜ he leans against the wall , clasping his hands in front of him as he appraises her. these are the means of entertainment now , he supposes. inconsequential wagers and fleeting encounters. maybe he wants this one to last a little longer. maybe he wants the payout to be a bit more meaningful. either way , he’s learned just how little control they have over damn near everything. ❛  if you’re right , drinks are on me. tonight.  ❜

can you try to be a little less judgmental? / marcus @hoggleswart
"I physically cannot." Damien says with an air of absolute sincerity. He is the self-proclaimed most judgmental person he knows. "I am in Ravenclaw after all," He pops a grape in his mouth. "It goes against everything I am."

𝐏𝐑𝐎𝐌𝐏𝐓: " you're just as fucked up as i am. you're just better at lying to yourself. " 𝐋𝐎𝐂𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍: falmouth falcons training pitch. 𝐒𝐓𝐀𝐓𝐔𝐒: closed for marcus flint III ( @hoggleswart )
Tumblr media
fingers flex at her side, the march towards the changing rooms having stopped mid-step as a deep breath is pulled in through flaring nostrils - like a moth to a flame, she always had something to say about marcus. to marcus. his words aren't untrue and perhaps that is why her chest aches, why her stomach twists and turns and why her mind shows her memories long forgotten of a vulnerability lost. that day she revealed her past, her childhood, to him had been the day that minette thought they had turned a corner. they trusted eachother - perhaps even loved. it was thrown back in her face, of course, and the overwhelming sickness she felt in her stomach from knowing that marcus knew her most vulnerable self took over.
" serpent bâtard . . . " the words are whispered as she looks over her shoulder at her ex, taking in his features - perhaps a beat too long - after the long absence of seeing him. she had last seen him at that sham of a wedding, ridiculous. clicking her tongue, the french keeper spins to face her teammate. " what do you want from me, marcus ? to fall to my knees and scream to the heavens about my past ? would that make you feel better ? "

Fred Weasley x Slytherin!Reader
A/N hiya! I’m reposting this as I posted it with the ask last time and I didnt mean to. This was my first request and I had so much fun writing it. I hope you enjoy
Request:  Hi sweety! Could I pretty please request a Fred c Slytherin! Reader? Maybe they’re already dating and everyone knows how perfect of a couple you two are. Some slytherins neglect you because of your relationship and one day, during a gryffindor vs slytherins match, they decide to use you to distract Fred from playing and they accidentally hurt you..?? Then of course Fred gets extremely mad and beats up whoever did this while your friends help you out. Then you can end it however you want💕💕💕 - From @ausblack
“Traitor.” Pansy spat at you as you walked down the halls hand in hand with Fred.
“Bloody hell,” Fred chuckled, “you’d think that they’d be over it now, wouldn’t you? It’s been what? Six months now?”
“They hate me, Freddie,” you frowned a little.
“That’s not true, love,” he stopped walking and turned to face you, “you get along with some of them, don’t you?” You nodded, you did have a few friends in your house but a quite a lot of them seemed to have an issue with you and Fred being together.
“They’re only words anyway, I’d rather be a traitor than be friends with one of those slimy gits,” You forced a smile. You never really told Fred how much it upset you when the other Slytherins would insult you. You were a bit of an outsider; you spent a lot of time sat in your dorm on your own. Occasionally, Fred would pester Harry enough and he would let you borrow his invisibility cloak so you could sneak into the Gryffindor common room. The Gryffindor’s tended to accept you better than your own house for some reason. They were probably scared that Fred and George would prank the living daylights out of them if they ever bothered you.
There was a lot a tension in the Slytherin common room this morning, the dimly lit room seemed a lot more unwelcoming when everyone sat in there stopped talking as soon as you walked in. You sighed and took a seat next to Adrian, one of the only Slytherins that you actually got along with.
“Were they talking about me again?” you asked, fiddling with a loose thread on your jumper. Adrian nodded.
“You know they always get like this when we have to play against Gryffindor,” he gave you a comforting smile, “It’s pathetic, really,”
“I just thought they’d be over it by now. I suppose we’d better go and get ready for the match.”
You had joined the Quidditch team as a Chaser in your fourth year at Hogwarts, Fred was a beater for Gryffindor which made the Gryffindor vs. Slytherin games a bit tense. Not between the two of you, but the Slytherin team didn’t seem to like the fact that you were dating Fred while playing for their team. The only reason that they hadn’t kicked you off of the team was because you were a decent chaser. You felt particularly uneasy about this game though
“You lot are early,” you said as you walked into the changing rooms. Normally they included you in the team talk before the match, but by the time you and Adrian got there today, they had already started.
“New tactic that doesn’t concern you,” Marcus Flint sneered. A few of the others laughed. You rolled your eyes and walked off to get changed into your Quidditch uniform.
“He’s just nervous because he’s scared that Gryffindor are going to beat us.” Adrian whispered.
A wave of anxiety washed over you as you walked onto the Quidditch pitch. The sun was blazing, and the stands were filled with your fellow students. You climbed onto your broom and shot up into the air, ready to begin the match. You caught sight of Fred at the other end of the pitch, you gave him a small wave and he winked back. Taking a deep breath, you started to feel a bit better.
As the match went on, Slytherin had begun to fall behind. You started to panic a little as you had yet to score any goals. Out of the corner of you eye you saw Flint look over at Fred and mutter something to one of your teammates. You tried to ignore them and regain focus, if you managed to win the match, they would at least lay off you a little bit.
Your broom began to jerk a little bit.
“It’s just nerves,” You muttered to yourself, tightening your grip.
Suddenly, it started going out of control, yanking you in all different directions and bumping you into the opposing team. You caught sight of Fred who was stationary mid-air, a worried look on his face as you lost control of your broom. You had no idea what was going on, had someone jinxed your broom? One particularly big jolt had your broom slip from your fingers, and you plummeted through the air.
The was a ringing in your ears, you must have blacked out for a second because when you opened your eyes the Gryffindor team was crowded around you, your team still hovering above the pitch. Madam Hooch blew her whistle and motioned to the Slytherin team to come down.
“I- I don’t know what happened,” you stuttered, trying to sit up.
“I’ll tell you what happened,” Fred seethed, gesturing towards Marcus Flint, “it was that slimy, little git over there!”
“I don’t know what you’re talking about, Weasley,” he retorted, smugly.
Without even replying, Fred lunged at him, knocking him to the floor.
             “FRED,” you shouted, standing up.
The Gryffindor team shot over to Fred to pull him off of Marcus, who by the looks of it, already had a broken nose and a bust lip. It took the whole team to prise Fred off him.
“Jinx my girlfriends’ broom again and I’ll give you much worse than a broken nose.” He spat.
Fred darted over to you, wiping some of the blood from his face with the sleeve of his Quidditch jersey
             “Are you okay, darling?”
“I think so,” you replied meekly, “are you, Freddie?”
“Never better,” he grinned, “come on, love. I believe me and you have a date with the Hospital Wing.”
