i love serizawa so so much T_T like i dont even have words for it i just really love his narrative and his angle on the story. like ive been sitting here trying to write this post about like idk, how i see myself in him + tying in trans serizawa as well what with how being at home being free from being percieved can be a very attractive concept as a trans person AND the themes of rebirth inherent in his narrative as well (4example symbolic hair cutting scene)

So i finally managed to finish this LN (somehow lol) and just want to share reviews on manga/LN here instead of on my YouTube channel since they won't be worth a video imo.

Anyways, the writer here did try and find a way to attract readers to give his book a try! That's something good ofc but the story is dumber than the usual isekai stories. I'm not an isekai reader and just wanted to give some a try so my friend lended me this to and ye here i am.

So the story is about this girl who died (as usual) with her classmate and started living in this manly world which lead her to be a sex worker so she can survive.

The problem with this story is it's trying so hard to have a deep message... The message of this book is that woman and men can be equal and show how this high school girl can be a proud strong woman and ok with working as a sex worker... ofc not saying anything against that but the writing, the idea etc is SO SOOO childish like u would probably enjoy this LN if u were 13y.o or something even tho it says 17+.. well that's just for the sexual violence.

Anyways, the story changes and becomes "better" after reading 70% of the book lol.. else, u will just read sex scenes and read the sounds they will make, 4example "nn, ow.."🙄 not to mention one of the worst arcs i have ever read where it's about this "kick the can" sport and this girl gets to win the tournament with her male friends by showing her sexual parts... ye it gets so dumb and I'm dumber for reading it.

In the end, i would recommend this book to no1 especially readers that r over 18 lol unless u r some1 like the ones mentioned in Billie Eilish memes of how deep her song titles and verses r.

Ofc.. i feel like i need to mention this... If u liked this LN, good for u but this is just my opinion and maybe I'm just a boomer, so plz don't feel offended, i would love to hear different opinions 🥰

Balance is always the key. 4example my fav fics are the ones that combine angst & softness. Imo Ballum is far more balance than Robron were. They are treated like a realistic couple, wanting each other and trying to figure it all out, being funny and all. They talk about each other with other ppl, they see things in each other, they are being affectionate like any proper new couple would be. Do you think Ee does a better job with them than Ed did w Robron? U dont have 2 post this just ur answer

Its not all direction tho is it? Emma & Michelle are fully trully committed & ready 2 go when there is a kissing scene. Its their mouths they control them. While Dryan despite having 4example a kissing scene that supposed 2 be passionate they are not comfortable enough 2 kiss like any other actor would have with open relaxed lips. dont care but i can see where ppl re coming from & why the actors are blamed 4how tamed sum of their scenes are. Little touches & kisses are an actors thing

I finished watching Sharp Objects the other day heres a post of some Thoughts

Firstly...even though we all know he knew...I really like how the show made it blatant and confirmed that Alan Knew All Along. I feel like in the book he’s kind of hard to get a hold of and that;s not always a bad thing but I do feel like for an adaption it’s important to display his part in what happened and...I’m glad  the show did that. In fact I’m glad the show seemed to mend a lot of things that were kind of questionably handled about the book (not that the vaguery surrounding Alan was questionable imo but u know what I mean if u follow me and you’ve seen me talk about GF’s works). On that note I’m glad that the show conveyed pretty well that Alan is a genteel southern rich guy and not a Gay Coded Villain which...tbh that would have happened in less expert hands

I really also like how the town of Wind Gap itself functions as a force, almost a character in its own right. To paraphrase Stephen King “the whole town was IT” ... the almost...sentience of the town is played for horror in such an effective way. The shots of the town square, the ominousness of how .. so many people either knew or weren’t surprised...

I don’t blame the show adapters but....a 13 year old girl with rat poisoning in her system...is not gonna be able to do all that no matter how much rage she carries in her. Feelings aren’t ...physical powers, and even if she built up a tolerance (can you even do that?) ... she was still being administered heavy degrees that over-rode the tolerance and make her severely physically ill...I think it still makes more sense to have Adora be the one behind All the deaths.

That being said book Amma just never felt like an actual fleshed out character to me and more like a set of Points and Quotes the author was trying to make whereas the show writing did seem like it was trying to make her into more of a person (in a similar way that like...Alan who also felt kind of underdeveloped in the book made more sense as a person in the show). And I think part of that is just a medium difference too+the work of the actor, 4example reading the words “the dollhouse is my fancy”  is like oh come on no one talks like that, but when you see the line in the context of the show it’s like. yeah no one talks like that but Amma was raised in this weird archaic stepford Southern Living fantasy world of her parents so she does talk like that. I like how towards the end you can really pick up on the anger she carries toward Adora at that dinner scene, the actress did A Good Job.  Amma begging Camille at the end “just be her good girl”is one of the scariest parts in the whole thing

Camille is probably the best character Gflynn ever wrote. The adaption really did her justice imo and Amy Adams is going to WIN the emmy.

I like how at the end there was more closure between Camille and Richard than in the book. They were never going to last but I liked that scene a lot. 

I really liked how the show did Jackie, I feel like because  I don’t Know the kind of wealthy southern town environment that this story takes place in, when I read the book I sort of didn’t get How to picture her but the show version...man I know what you guys mean with that one post about how you can see the abyss in a Live Laugh Love sign. (THE PAINTING SHE HAD OF HERSELF JHGFDHV)

I really liked how the flashbacks/cutaways were done and finding the hidden words :o
