Starting Over: Day 0 of My 75 Soft Journey
Hey Tumblr, itâs been a while.
I stopped writing and journaling again but Iâm here starting all over. I donât know if you're going to be proud but Iâm already on my 21st day of walking and doing light workouts. Hahaha.
Today is officially Day 0 of my 75 Soft Challenge. I'm starting to journal again because it's part of the challenge. Iâll also be posting my unfiltered photos here as part of my progress.
I really hope I can stick with it this time. Hahaha. Wish me luck.

Change is scary, but staying in the same place is much more terrifying.
Today is the seventh day of doing the 75 soft challenge so hereâs a wrap of my week.Â
So far so good, Iâve been more active at home than before ever since I stopped going to the gym. I strive to finish any 45 minute workout daily regardless of my hectic schedule. Sometimes I only do my hot girl walk whenever I donât feel like using weights during my workouts, ride a bike within our subdivision, or would play volleyball with my brother.Â
Other than that, I have managed to eat a balanced meal without thinking about the calories of those food I consume. I no longer worry about gaining weight from the foods I eat, therefore I can finally enjoy eating. Also, I started reading books again, I am currently reading â101 Essays That Will Change The Way You Thinkâ by Brianna Wiest. I would highly recommend that you should read this book if you love listening to the perspective of other people <3
But there are days that I donât feel like getting up in the morning given that I am not a morning person and struggling to fix my sleeping schedule. On those kind of days listening to podcast helps me a lot. I honestly enjoy listening podcast more than reading since reading makes me sleepy so I usually read before I sleep hehe. The podcast that I am currently listening to is âParty of 1 Podcastâ by Erycka. It really helps in boosting my motivation since Iâm also struggling in being consistent and being disciplined.
There is something I wanted to share with you guys for my weekly reflection. What I have realized in the first week of doing this challenge is that CHANGE IS SCARY. It can be frightening to imagine that you can't do that one task, but it can be even more terrifying to realize that a year has passed and you are still in the exact same place. Get up and prepare to fail repeatedly until one day you don't because all success is just failing repeatedly until you understand that the one thing you keep doing wrong is actually turning out to be right :)

Swapping 75 Hard for 75 Soft
If youâve been here for a while, youâll know that I started this blog with the intention to change my life in 100 days.Â
I still believe this is possible, but I also believe in reflecting on my methods and changing them when itâs necessary. This is one of those time.Â
In 2020 I discovered the 75 Hard Day Challenge by Andy Frisella on TikTok, as multitudes of people around the world were looking for a routine to keep them entertained while the pandemic made so much of our lives uncertain.Â
Among them, I found peace in the regimented rules of the challenge and made it 50 days in before Melbourne was launched out of lockdown and back to normal. Once socialisation was allowed again, I will admit, I found it difficult to make time for two 45 minute workouts in a day, with one of them being outside. I also want to have a wine with my friends when we go out for dinner, so the no alcohol rule was a problem for me.Â
I have stopped and started the challenge about five times since I originally attempted it and have failed each time.Â
Until today, when another challenge graced my ForYou page on TikTok. a welcomed alternative to the 75 Hard Day Challenge, I found the 75 Soft Day Challenge.Â
In essence, it is a watered down version of the 75 Hard Day Challenge. The rules are:Â
1. One 45 minute workout per day for 75 days, with one designated rest day per week,
2. Read 10 pages of any book everyday,
3. Drink 3L of water a day,
4. Eat a balanced diet, and only drink on social occasions; andÂ
5. Take a picture or video of yourself every day of the challenge.Â
These rules are far more stomach-able in the post-lockdown lives of many Iâm sure, and I am restarting my journey on changing my life in 100 days once again, just with these altered rules.Â
Today, April 5th 2022 is Day 1, and I am more excited to partake in this achievable challenge over the next 75 days than I have been for anything else in a while. I have been yearning to get myself back into a routine, and I think this will be a softer, more easily transitional way to do that healthily.Â
Maybe once this 75 days is over, I will once again attempt the 75 Hard Day Challenge. Time will tell and we will both know in 75 days time.Â

day idk at this point
i am not quitting, but i recently got a lot more work load so i had to change my plan like two weeks into it.
im excited because im going to be a paid writer on top of my 9/5 but that means i also have to work more so fitness is a bit harder to squeeze in. also i have to find a good meal prep system with that fits well into my schedule now.
but i have started to make waking up earlier a habit. i would like to get it to 1.5 hours then i used too but right now its only about 45mins.
i might just restart once i get all my new work things handled and do what i can till then. if its only a 10mins workout thats better than nothing. đ

POV: You're a Mirrorball
Today's the 2nd week of the "75 soft challenge"; honestly, this is a tough week, given that it is my exam week. I've felt pressured and overwhelmed to stick through my routine, but I have still managed to accomplish the rules in this challenge. Discipline is the key :)
Maybe you're wondering about the title of this blog so, here's a context. My bestie and I are having a conversation about Taylor Swift's folklore album and she made me realize that I am not a "this is me trying" kind of girl but rather a "mirrorball".
"I've never been a natural, all I do is try try try"
As someone who grows up as a people pleaser, this song holds a special place in my heart. This song is for the girls who show up with different personalities when facing different people. Who have tried to change everything about themselves to fit in, yet have never been satisfied. Someone who is unsure of their true personality or who they are as a person. The one who is continuously worried about disappointing the people who have high expectations of her.
No one will understand the struggles you have to endure just to make yourself and the people around you proud. Because they cannot see you battling your inner demons every night just to function normally, they will always believe that you had it easy. That's where it hits me, it makes so much sense now to think that I am still a mirrorball.
Once a mirrorball, will always be a mirrorball even if you try to deny it. There will always be that little girl inside you who craves for that validation from people who is important to her.
This is a gentle reminder to put yourself first. Don't let anyone ever make you feel unworthy; you owe it to yourself and to that little girl within you to maintain your peace. Do things for yourself, dress for yourself, and work hard for yourself.
Remember to treat others and yourself with kindness. Some people put in a lot of effort each day merely to receive "I'm proud of you" and "take it easy" :)
