Literally the only point of me having voice control on my smart watch (it's button press to activate) is because I can ask it to make my phone ring when I lose it. I lost track of my phone and pressed the lil button and saw a lil "Gemini" thingy and wentt well great now I gotta fogure put how tto turn that off anyway "where's my phone?" Gemini goes and google searches the phrase!!!! Tells me to use the find my phone function! That I was trying to use! Literally rendered the only use I had for it useless now I have no reservations revoking all its evesdropping toys as soon as I figure out how to do that

Hey so I'm not really gonna answer this beyond 1) I don't really use Tumblr for debates/arguments about inflammatory topics and 2) I'm purposely ignorant to the entire outrage surrounding AI art because there are too many things demanding "action" and "engagement" from the general public on any given day at this point that I literally have zero left in the tank.

I'm not defending AI art but I'm literally just saying it's not one of the things that "enrage" me as of late. I'm more worried about things going on in my personal life and the current political climate of the US rn tbh and I come here to Tumblr to be horny about fictional characters because that's a better coping mechanism than drinking myself into a stupor or taking bong rip after bong rip to the face.

That being said I subscribe to artists on patreon that create their own art and will always 100% support artists who draw for a living.

i mean... i can but i'm sorry babe, i don't think i will 😭 it was like a one time thing, i did it only because i got curious and i had nothing to do at the time (since my laptop broke and all) so i got bored and i wanted to have fun for a little bit, just to try. i shared them here (with a lot of shame and i was in no way flaunting these images on your dash) just because i wanted to share my visions with you guys.

borrowed a friend's xiaomi for a test run since I need a new phone and am left wondering why any & all phones made past 2024 are having me look completely dead behind the eyes

This has been in my drafts for a while and it happened again so I'm posting:

I've been told that my academic writing style looks very Large Language Model (AI) and I just-

Not in like a robotic way apparently, and then the guy explained and like-

I KNOW, OkaY? I love my commas and my words and my 'ands' and my inability to not be wordy in that like very niche way, okay? LLMs came after my writing style not before.

It also sets off all shitty AI "detectors" and if I don't make sure I have like the timestamp markers on in every single one of my documents I'm going to get burned by a prof one day. (there is nothing that can accurately detect AI writing, do not let anyone tell you otherwise)

TL;DR: LLMs and AI make writer's life a living hell, real time example.
