dropping two more fics on ao3 today before the deadline for bottom jayce week fully hits. Wanting Wrapped in Red will be uploaded as complete, but the other is a WIP that i should have done in about 2-3 weeks. (lowkey hoping no one really checks it out until it's done LMAO) then i'm gonna take next week off from socials/writing, cause i am burnt out from cramming all these fics in a month while also starting school again & dealing with health things. after that break it's back to getting AMSATASM chapters ready! i'm making the executive decision that i'm not gonna participate in any more events until the hurt/comfort week in october; that way i have time to prep and don't fall into the negative feedback loop i hit while trying to push out all these bjw entries. maybe next year i'll try my hand at joining some zines, but for now i want to pace myself and invest in more personal projects/perfecting AMSATASM.

thank you to everyone who's shared, supported, left kudos/comments/bookmarked everything i submitted so far! the reception has been incredible. i realized today that my stats on ao3 nearly tripled between hark the herald angel sings & the premise of promise, alongside the extra traction AMSATASM has gotten. we're almost to 1.5k hits on AMSATASM and you guys have pushed me over to almost 100 total bookmarks, which is absolutely insane to me since i only started posting what... three months ago? i think?

favourite colour: green! especially deep/dark greens with yellow undertones. i also really enjoy a burnt orange and blacks, but overall any of the cool colors are my favorites

currently reading: i've got a couple different things i'm shifting through rn. "what the wild sea can be" by helen scales. also started re-reading "the host" by stephanie meyer solely bc nostalgia factor (was obsessed with it as a kid, wanted to analyze it as an adult and see if i still like it. hated all her other work but the host was one of those books that just really gripped me for some reason) also currently re-reading the odyssey for my world lit class. i have "the magical age of overthinking" checked out but i've only read like the intro cause i just don't have the time to dive into it till i'm done w some of these other books. also like 5 fanfics but this is long enough as is so i'll spare y'all from that list lol

last film: oh god uhhh... fuck. hm. i think technically it was fucking willy wonka bc nick put it on while at my house lmao but the last film i went out of my own way to watch would have been nausicaa, i put ghibli movies on to zone out to while i work! i haven't really watched anything new this year, at least not since nosferatu. i really want to watch sinners but i haven't been able to find it anywhere for free yet

last series: dandadan with nick; i also started outlander specifically to grasp highlander accents more. i kind of hate the show overall, i fall asleep during it a lot but i'm committed now so. ig i'll hate watch it lmfao. also been re-watching the righteous gemstones, i never got around to finishing it so been diving back down that rabbit hole

sweet/salty/savoury: i have a massive sweet tooth! i also really like savory shit but overall i lean sweet, or sweet-savory.

tea or coffee: i like both but i lean heavily towards tea. sam bought us a tea rack last year bc we kept buying way too fucking much haha i usually have a cup every night and sometimes in the morning :D

working on: god too much. so much. primarily schoolwork with art history & world lit. but i've also been getting back into working out (rip my fucking core strength my GOD the last 5 years of sickness has wrecked me). i've got a few different pieces of artwork i've been chipping away at (cat machine herald chasing a laser from his 3rd arm from a moots bsky post, an astral jayce piece to match my astral viktor piece, some smaller & simpler pieces for the shop i intend to open this year). i've still kind of shelfed AMSATASM, but i've been slowly chipping away at both wanting, wrapped in red and fate forged from failure. i hit a wall with premise of promise sadly, so i'm trying to make myself work on an outline for that one instead. and honestly the last two weeks i've just been so busy with irl things i haven't worked on much other than school, routine, and health. this week hopefully i'll have more time to write tho!

so one of my paragraphs just... got deleted from the work entirely? it had like two lines and then dropped off. i am so upset bc that paragraph was pretty well constructed and i couldn't remember how it originally flowed. it even had a comment on my word doc, so i don't know how it just... vanished. but i fixed it on ao3 at least. sorry if you went to read and saw that ._. i don't know what happened. something got corrupted in my word doc it seems, idk how i overlooked it tho, i reread this shit like 4 times and it was still there last time i saved a draft ;_;

so chapter 3 is formatted, mostly proof-read, etc and i went to do the math for my updating the masterpost and uh. guys.

itended up being 40k words. uhhhhhhhhh. lmao. this shit was supposed to be less than 10k. i don't even know what happened i just like blacked out for 4 weeks and came out of it with shenanigans. as much as i hated the unexpected gap, posting it on easter feels fitting, given how many easter egg lines from the games i plopped in there. and because what better day to write arcane jesus being ~nasty~ then on reality jesus revival day slkdjfsdlk anyways happy 4/20 egg day. i'll make a post when it's actually up, probably around 12-3pm EST, and plop an update post in all the communities i'm in or w/e. then expect me to disappear temporarily into the void as i collapse under the weight of finals/graduation & catching my fuggin breath for a min.
