i like to think one of the things asami likes about korra that starts to attract her to her in book 3 is that korra is so painfully earnest in a way that must be such a relief to asami after all the bullshit she's been through from her lying homicidal father and her lying manipulative business partner and her lying cheating boyfriend. korra's got her flaws but there isn't a dishonest bone in her body and even back when she was kind of rude to asami in book 1 she was incapable of not wearing her heart on her sleeve about it. genuine emotional honesty is something i think asami would value very deeply and find a lot of solace in

Rory's wearing the coat she wore to Honor's wedding. The same coat she gives to Doyle as she's struggling with whether or not Logan technically cheated on her. Is she having the same kinds of thoughts now?

Lorelai IMMEDIATELY assumes something is ongoing with Jess. It's not "I didn't know you saw Jess" or "I didn't know you went to Philadelphia." It's "I didn't know you were seeing Jess."

Jess and Rory are officially friends now!

Except Rory can't even look at Lorelai while she's saying it.

Rory lies, unprompted, about kissing Jess ("I swear, nothing happened there").

It's so striking that Rory never discusses this kiss with anyone. She doesn't tell Logan, she doesn't tell Lane, she specifically lies to Lorelai. There's zero indication that she even thinks about telling Logan; no meaningful pause or guilty look for the audience to interpret. It's just... gone. She shoves this kiss so far down that she wants to pretend it didn't even happen.

And I think the only reason she can do this is because Jess isn't anywhere in her vicinity. We see in S3 that Rory instantly falls apart once she's standing 20 feet away from Jess; the secret comes flying out of her mouth and she tells Lorelai they kissed.

In my version of S7, Rory sees Jess by happenstance and just... flies apart. All her feelings come rushing back, she's tripping over her words to apologize, it's a big mess, and she can no longer deny her obvious connection to him. And where does that leave Logan? Now THAT'S the S7 drama I would have loved to see!

What I love about this fandom is how we are all in love with Ferdinand despite him being the most unlikeable person ever. Like he is an anti-social, rude, cold-hearted, know it all snob and we love him all the more for it.

When he enters the story this is what we immediately learn about him, but he was kind to Myne. So we know there is more to him, but we have to wait till to get it. Until that moment in the Trombe subjugation we weren’t sure how to fell about Ferdinand nor how’d he react because he is always the first person to remind Myne of her place. She’s a commoner and despite guiding her he also doesn’t let her forget that. So when he backs Myne we finally know we can trust him like really trust him. And that he is someone to lean on.

And even before we learn his sad backstory(which again takes VOLUMES hell PARTS). We already love and trust him. His backstory doesn’t endear us to him, because we have long since had love for him. He doesn’t need a sad woobie backstory for us to feel for him and feel positively about him because like Myne he has long since proven himself to us. And while many people in story would liken spending time with him to torture, we know that despite all of that he is a good person, and loyal to a fault.

And honestly, he doesn’t really grow in that aspect, I mean he learns a little but the things I listed earlier are still very much his character flaws. He doesn’t grow past them, learn to be kinder, socialize more, or anything like that.

They’re still apart of his personality, they’re flaws but they are his.

And in keeping these flaws we retain the part of him the is undeniably Ferdinand.

We love Ferdinand despite the fact that if we met him in person many of us wouldn’t like him, and I think that’s one of the most fantastic things about AoaB

Being the smile lover she is, the lips are one of the features that she finds attractive the most. They are a clear tell-tale to her to tell if the other person is happy, as she is someone who strives to makes others happy since before she became the Holy Maiden and so it continues to be long after she no longer has any Divinity to serve. Furthermore, in a more intimate argument, she likes them even more if they're plump due to the mental image she has of how nice it would feel to kiss (I say mental image because of her lack of experience on the matter).

Following a similar line of thought, she also finds the eyes to be attractive. She's a clear believer that the eyes are the windows to one's soul and there is a particular charm in them that she can't ignore. Moreover, tied to smiles, she likes the way their corners crinkle when someone's smile reaches up to their eyes.

Although she doesn't feel the need of someone to protect her, there is this inner wish of someone doing just that for her one day even with just one hug. So she finds a decent degree of attractiveness in strong, muscular arms and chest to feel safe even just for a moment.
