School Spirits OCs
I will do something properly with these at some point, but I've yet to figure out what it is. Trigger Warning: There are mentions of suicide in this.
Tumblr media
Molly Brown as Adalaide 'Ada' Moore [Student that loves all things supernatural, she's spent a lot of her time at the school trying to communicate with spirits; rather than being the shy type as people might expect, she is very loud and refuses to back down with things] (SimonxOC)
Tumblr media
Leo Woodall as Rocco Sutton [Exchange student who committed suicide and has since been a ghost on the grounds, he's even more annoyed by the whole thing because he was a medium in life; this has given him more power to communicate with the living now] (CharleyxOC)
Tumblr media
Jayden Revri as Rehan Holland [Nephew to a crime boss in a neighbouring state, there has always been certain people he won't talk to at school - Xavier, for instance. This is made harder when close friend Maddie starts dating him. Following her disappearance, he starts wondering if perhaps leaning on his family business might be a better use of his time than waiting for school to help him] (NicolexOC)
Tumblr media
Rachel Hilson as Zizi Malone [Head of the debate team, a straight A student, things seemed to be going perfectly for her. Until an accident had her falling down the stairs, killing her instantly. While she's only been dead about 5 years, she still hasn't really loosened up and wants everything to be done with paperwork and ways to make sure she can check over things. Cue Wally wanting to help her relax a little - after all, they're going to have time] (WallyxOC)

The eye of a female humpback whale, seen up close.
[moore_rachel] :: Massimo :: @Rainmaker1973
* * * *
I could be both an I
and the world. The great eye
of the world is both gaze
             and gloss. To be swallowed
by being seen. A dream.
To be made whole
               by being not a witness,
but witnessed.

For RO Swap! Ysabet x Nat and/or Ada x Nate, please! 🥰 (~agentnatesewell)
ooh thank you!!
Ysabet/Nat
i struggled with these two, honestly! because uh. it’s honestly not that different from Ysabet/Nate haha. gender swapping doesn’t do much for them, so here’s just a lil snippet which honestly might just get the name+pronouns swapped if i ever get around to writing Ysabet’s book1 variant lmao
She’s not sure what exactly it is about Detective Mirour-moor’s movements that so catches her eye. She’s a beautiful woman, certainly, but there’s something in the grace that brushes against memory. Nat bites her lip as she considers, watching the Detective through the glass of the office window. Farah and Mason’s squabbling seems to melt away. It’s the turn that does it, the delicate manoeuvre out of another officer’s path. Something about the weight she places on her feet, and the turn of her head to track the man's oblivious path. Suddenly Nat remembers- watching feathered swans crossing a dimly lit stage. The Firebird leaping from Ivan’s grasp. Old training, so well ingrained that it remains in traces, the ghost of criss-crossed ribbons, remembering well-scuffed ballet slippers. The next thoughts are an indulgence, but one Nat can’t help but lean into. As Detective Mirour-moor returns to the office, her face stoic and stern in thought, Nat wonders what it would be like to dance with her.
and as for Ada/Nate...
Drip. Drip. Given enough time, he might well get to watch those stalactites grow, the pools beneath them building to spires, until the cave’s fangs close around him like prison bars. It would be a beautiful, if tragic sight. Not his first preference, certainly, to live out the rest of his existence entombed in the earth, and hopefully not his actual fate. Before his radio died, Adam had said that the newly formed Unit Delta was on their way. Thank goodness. Gargoyles might be the best bet for navigating and manipulating the collapsed cave system, without risking further collapse. The air has grown thin. He stopped breathing after the radio spluttered its last static crackle. Better to save what’s left for whoever tries to rescue him. He hears her first. Not a voice he knows. Not calls for him to respond. A hum through the collapsed entrance- pausing now and then, met with tapping against the rock. Eventually he can hear a little more. Scraps of words. Echolian of a particularly archaic dialect, the tatters forming together until he is hooked on every word of the approaching hymn, on that sweet voice that is incoming salvation. When his Angel steps through, the halo of light blinds him. The rubble falls away to smooth obediently beneath her delicate and bare paws, and her wings flare gently to help keep her balance. He can’t help it. He draws in a breath, and the dusty air tastes suddenly like sweet sculpted sugar melting on his tongue. “Agent Sewell?” The delicate young gargoyle woman ducks her head ever so slightly as she steps through, hair falling across her cheek like stone spun into silk. He knows the light behind her is a torch on someone else’s vest. He knows that there are others just behind her. But as she steps towards him with her smile is soft and relieved, warm welcome to someone she’s never met before. They might as well be the only people that exist. “I’m Agent Grey. Let’s get you out of here.”
fun fact- Ada (as detective) originally WAS a Nate romance, i think i have a book1 save still for that hehe. anyway i love gargoyle Ada best of all, so i had to go with her, and i was just so caught with the idea of showing Nate falling in love at first sight.
after this introduction- they don’t really get off to a very smooth start. he thinks she is the most beautiful artwork to ever exist, and he becomes almost fearful he might hurt her if he tries to form a relationship and it goes wrong. and she thinks he is so charming and clever, far more experienced with the world- and far too good for a silly little girl like her, of course he's just being nice, not interested. it takes a while for them to circle each other, it’s definitely more slowburn than any other N pairing i write- but eventually they are very happy together. her father is a lot more internally approving of this relationship than he’ll be with her and mason- if she has to fall in love with a non-gargoyle then at least Nathaniel has some sense of Culture and Art gfhghfhg

Maryland Codifies Child Custody Factors — But Will Anything Really Change?
By Michael Phillips In a move hailed by some as progress and by others as political theater, Maryland Governor Wes Moore has signed a bill into law that formally codifies the child custody factors judges are to “consider” when ruling on custody and visitation disputes. The legislation aims to bring clarity, consistency, and fairness to a system long criticized for its opacity and alleged bias.…

I love Ayo, Jeremy, and Molly — they all mean a lot to me in their own ways. Ayo’s energy is unmatched, Jeremy’s loyalty is real, and Molly has always just been chill and kept to herself. I don’t understand how people can come for her when she’s never even done anything wrong. She minds her business, stays in her lane, and still somehow ends up being the target. That’s wild to me.
But let’s talk about the way you stay so obsessed with Molly. Like, seriously — what did she ever do to you? You’re always bothering her, throwing shade, and trying to make her out to be the problem when she literally just exists. Give me one valid reason why you dislike her so much. Just one. I bet you can’t, because there is no reason. It's giving more personal issue than actual beef. Let her live.
I've already explained this a million times but since you're asking again. Let me make it clear for everyone.
Why I do not like Molly Gordon
I stopped fucking with her on July 2024 when she gave a shout out to an Israeli restaurant, Miss Ada, in an interview.
As a person who also lives in NYC and makes a concious effort to avoid Israeli owned businesses, especially since October 2023, I know she is very well aware of what kind of place that is. Especially considering she was also spotted at Jack's Wife Freda, another very well known Israeli owned restaurant in the city, a few months later.
I looked to see for even an ounce of support towards Palestinians from her because I knew she had played an anti zionist who straight up mentioned the BDS movement (Boycott, Divest, Sanctions) in the show Ramy. But I saw that she hadn't even signed the ceasefire letter. I have never seen her post a single thing in support of Palestine or like anything of Ramy's or Ayo's or anyone's this whole entire genocide. Trust me, I tried to redeem her. The last picture of Ramy she has ever liked was literally one he posted of JAW while filming The Bear. She is clearly capable of signing things and posting "political" stuff like she posted her Kamala ballot, which is illegal to do in NY btw. So her silence on the matter is very much a choice.
So to me, she is someone who knowingly supports Israel, who had no problem profiting off of Palestinians stories and learned absolutely nothing from Ramy. Which btw is the only reason she got cast in The Bear in the first place cause Chris directed her episode. Either that or she cares more about not crossing any of her zionist friends and family that fund her projects like Will Ferrell, who funded Theater Camp, than supporting him. Which is still putting her own money and career above just being the bare minimum decent person to me, when she has already so much of her career handed her through nepotism.
On top of that, she had someone accusing her repeatedly of being a racist bully towards her because she got the role in high school theater she wanted.
On top of that, she used a Woody Allen (a known pedophile) movie Annie Hall (which also has pedophilic references) as reference to her romcom, Oh Hi, which literally has sexual assault as the central premise and never treats it with the severity or consequences it deserves. Her friend who made that movies also have highly questionable zionist friends.
And on top of all of that, I find the way she blatantly used her relationship for PR and called the paparazzi on herself every 4 weeks on the dot and pumped out random articles from "anonymous sources" to be extremely desperate loser behavior. I don't care that they were hooking up, quite frankly it was very funny at the start and entertaining to see it crash. He can date whoever her wants, I liked Rosalia, didn't get to know you long enough Ashley Moore but I'm sure she's probably fine.
So basically the entire picture of her that I've gotten over the past year is that she is not a good person and is very desperately trying to get attention, despite how "nice" she might be.
I do not like her as a person and at this point I never will. If I see her doing stupid problematic shit, I'm going to call it out cause apparently nobody else will. I'm sure she is perfectly nice to all her friends and coworkers. That does not make her unproblematic and good person worth supporting, to me.

Lotus had made herself a weapon.
She no longer cried when she handed over pieces of her childhood to the prosecution. Home videos, old letters, tour schedules, names of assistants and models and girls she remembered only in flashes of glitter and unease. She buried the pain under something sharp and cold, and when it came to Dax, she didn’t flinch.
Every week, she sat with the assistant district attorneys, combing through horrors and timelines. She never looked away.
She couldn’t. Looking away meant letting him win.
So when her phone rang that evening and ADA Moore appeared on the screen, she answered immediately.
She was in the solarium, dusk turning the windows gold, her feet curled under her on a velvet couch. Her laptop glowed beside her, a legal file open but unread.
“Moore,” she said flatly.
The prosecutor exhaled on the other end, a weary, cautious sound.
“I wish I had good news,” he began.
Lotus’s shoulders stiffened.
“We’ve been hammering at this from every angle. Financials. Contracts. Photos. The internal documents you flagged were invaluable. But we’re hitting a wall now.”
“What kind of wall?” she asked, already knowing the answer.
“Witnesses.”
She stared out the window, jaw tight.
“We’ve built a case strong enough to get him arrested and indicted. But trial’s a different battlefield. We need survivors to speak. Firsthand accounts. Someone who lived it, stood in those rooms. The jury needs to feel it, not just see paper trails. And right now… no one’s coming forward.”
Her voice turned low. “Because they’re scared.”
“Yes.” A beat. “We believe Dax is making it clear there will be consequences. Legal, financial, maybe worse. The fear is real. And without someone willing to stand and name him in open court... we may lose momentum.”
Lotus’s hands curled into fists.
“We’re not giving up,” Moore added quickly. “But we’re close to exhausting what we can do without someone testifying.”
She didn’t respond.
“Lotus, I’m sorry.”
She nodded once, more to herself than to him. “Thanks for the update.”
After they hung up, Lotus sat motionless for a long time.
The silence in the room was loud.
They needed a witness. Someone inside the horror. Someone who had lived through Dax Holloway’s private kingdom of rot.
Lotus didn’t say the name out loud. She didn’t even let it echo in her thoughts.
But she felt it like a punch to the chest.
She rose slowly, as if her body had grown heavier with the realization. Her throat burned, and her heart cracked with guilt before she even crossed the hallway.
Because she knew what had to come next.
She had to talk to Juno. And give her the choice.
Even if it meant dragging her back into the dark.
