Because of that post I reblogged earlier talking about modes of transportation giving insight to a character:

Adira walking everywhere is a extension/representation of her extreme self-reliance.

Hector riding his rhino is an expression of his aggressive, over-achieving efforts to be successful and validated by others. The obstacles he faces seems so overwhelming and impenetrable that he needs something to help him feel powerful enough to break them down.

I like to think that when it came to following Edmund's orders, the Brotherhood can be put into three categories: positive, negative and neutral.

Hector is positive because he followed them to the letter - he did everything in his power to stop anyone from reaching the Dark Kingdom.

Adira is negative because she actively disobeyed by helping Rapunzel get to the Moonstone.

Quirin is neutral since he gave up being a knight to settle down and have a family, so he wasn't actively affecting the situation one way or another. The one exception to this was when he warned King Frederick about the dangers of uprooting the Sundrop flower.

And yet, in their own ways, they were all still upholding their oath: to protect the world from the destructive powers of the moonstone.

✨Adira and Lance✨

As suggested by @kellyselly17 on Instagram, I drew Adira and Lance for MerMay this year! 😍 Adira is just minding her own business, when Lance shows up and tries to impress her. She attempts to hide the fact from him that she’s actually smiling… 🤭

I’m not sure how well warrior makeup would stay on underwater, so I added a version without the paint too, just in case. 😂😁

Is it weird that I was also getting bothered by Adira and her mysterious appearances, because she showed up out of a sudden, didn't told the full story that our characters needed to know for no apparent reason (I hate when people do that, tell me half of the information and expect me to trust them and work with that), and still was giving nicknames to the characters/having a small ironic attitude towards them, it adition to being extremely shady due to the lack of information and was convincing all the characters except the only person who was uneasy about that, but made fun of that only person (arguably rightly so, bc in her pov she was just trying to help but still), making me really doubt her ethics, or it was just my inner Cassandra talking in my ear (she's my spirit animal) (I spent most of the 2nd season uneasy about Adira and getting bothered by her teasings because almost all the characters trusted her blindly and I always thought something was odd about her) (she needs to communicate more with people specially about those important subjects 😔 it's not my fault)

funny how even when cassandra was wrong I was wrong with her because for me it made sense (our brains work the same way)

Pardon the title being repeated in the art, i do that a lot ;-;

anyways. The brotherhood is infesting my brain and i felt the need to draw them as kiddos so here you go :D

Concept: Adira takes possession of the Moonstone, and her heart's desire to find healing and balance dictates how the Moonstone's power manifests within her. Instead of a broody, angst-filled being of terrorr and destruction, she becomes a benevolent and powerful being of light and rebirth.

She uses the Moonstone's emotion-driven power to communicate herself to Hector in a clearer, more more powerful way than she could on her own. All at once telling him that she's sorry about their falling out, that she forgives him, that she still loves him, and she still wants to rebuild their kingdom *together*. 

Seeing the incredible *good* that the Moonstone's power is capable of for the first time in his life, and moved by his sister's love and forgiveness, Hector finally stops seeing the Moonstone as evil and fearing its power. He embraces its capacity for good, just as Adira does.

And what inspired the birth of this au, you ask? It was the idea of Popstar!Moondira:

here’s some unfinished fanfiction. Just for you

Varian’s head felt fuzzy. He pitter-pattered down the hallway, almost running. He was going somewhere… but where? He couldn’t remember. He practically jumped down the staircase, eager to reach it. What was he doing again?

Oh, right, following the pull.

His daddy said that he shouldn’t wander around the castle without someone with him, otherwise he would get lost. Varian didn’t doubt him, but he did doubt Uncle Hector when he said there were monsters that would eat him up (in one bite!) at night. He was sure that monsters would be a “safety hazard” or whatever that meant.

Finally, out of breath, Varian reached the exit of the castle. His gait slowed and he fiddled with his fingers, suddenly nervous. What if there were monsters out there? His daddy would be so sad if he got eaten!

The pulse pulled harder on him, angry for slowing down. He whispered an apology, but it didn’t seem to care. The force tugged on his body hard, and Varian felt fuzzy all over. He tilted his head into his hands, whining at the headache beginning to form. He stumbled forwards. Then his vision went bye-bye and Varian couldn’t remember much more.

He suddenly became aware of someone restraining him, his arms and legs being pinned down to a warm chest. He looked up, and saw Aunt Adira’s relieved face staring down at him.

“Hey, Stripes, are you good now?” she whispered.

“Yeah,” he replied, somewhat sheepish. “I’m sorry. Big sorry”.

She shrugged, releasing her death grip on him and holding him more like a baby. (Rude! Varian wasn’t a baby anymore! He was four— and a half!)

“It's fine. You’re lucky to have your best aunt ready to keep you safe.”

Varian frowned, “but you’re my only aunt?”

“Exactly! I’m automatically number one.”

He giggled, kicking his legs and narrowly missing Aunt Adira’s head.
