When you step into sunlight, you honor Apollo. When you admire the moon, you honor Artemis. When you admire cloud shapes, you honor Hera. When you smell petrichor, you honor Zeus. When you laugh at a joke, you honor Hermes. When your body twitches to dance at a particularly upbeat music, you honor Dinoysus. When you enjoy the first bite of your breakfast, you honor Demeter. When you choose your peace over any conflict, you honor Athena. When you warm yourself up by sheltering yourself in blanket, you honor Hestia. When you listen to Ocean sounds, you honor Poseidon. When you smell flowers, you honor Persephone. When you admire the coolness of first day of Autumn, you honor Hades. When you wear your favourite jewellery, you honor Hephaestus. When you smile, you honor Aphrodite. When you exercise, you honor Ares. When you light a torch in a dark room, you honor Hekate.
Your body is a shrine to Gods, your being an act of devotion for them. You, by yourself, are enough for them.

Hermes loves to play pranks on the other gods, but especially Apollo. In fact, when he was growing up mainly under Apollo’s care (because we all know what happens when Zeus parents) Apollo was so shocked by little Hermes’ attempt at pranking him that it was adorable and Hermes is always trying to make his big brother happy.

I can't explain it, but Batman needs to be mythologized. In Gotham, that is.
Logically, they know he's just a man, made of skin and bones and blood, like all of them. Those who met him, who had the ill luck to, say he feels like the city itself.
When danger approaches, with the click of a gun or hiss of a knife, it’s not the police people pray to. There's a single name that rivals Gotham‘s, and it’s not them.
So much so, there's whispers of what might happen, about guidelines being stepped. Kinda like how if you're compared to Aphrodite, you might die.
Such as:
If you see a wounded bird, of any kind, take it to a vet, or nurture it back to health. You’ll get robbed otherwise.
Don't wear pearls. Just don't.
Never let your son walk alone at night. Never lay your hands on them, either. The Bat doesn't take kindly to it.
#if your batman doesn't make me think of suitors chanting “ODYSEUSS” from Epic the musical#I’M NOT INTERESTEDDDD#literally making fanart of him rn with that in the background so with this occasion#what do ya’ll think of batfam as Greek gods#dick is Aphrodite case closed. Tim is Hermes. Cass is Hades. Jason is Apollo.#Jason could also be Ares but the thought of Damian being an angry little animal activist warrior is sooo#batman#bruce wayne#dc#dc comics#text#text post

If I was Apollo and woke up to my three day old baby brother stealing my cows, my purple-flower-boy lover dying because of a disk I threw, found out baby bro who stole my cows AND told me to “get tf over it” with my flower ended up having a lover and died the EXACT SAME WAY as my lover and baby bro turn his lover into a purple flower I would crash out

The gods after Odysseus stabbed Poseidon:
Hermes: I'll admit, him turning Poseidon into a swiss cheese wasn't on my bingo card but I'm very proud of my grandson!
Apollo: jokes on you I knew he'd do that
Aphrodite: He's certainely... passionate hm *starting to like him just a tiny bit*
Ares: sister you should've told me he'd be like that I would've accepted way faster
Zeus *nodding*: I'm definitely not regretting releasing him
Athena *just slightly shocked*: I don't know if I should be glad or concerned for his mental state.

Yeah what happened to Hermes 🥲 Should we be worried???
Yes actually you should be really worried. Soooo ima go on a yapping session for everyone who is interested
Basically in my version of Hermes he is the funny guy, the silly one with a heartbreaker reputation just like everyone else’s. The thing is that let’s be honest no one can be that carefree all the time. In my way of perception I have this AU where young gods must prove themselves at a certain area to become fully a god. Hermes was left all alone since after his birth and the cattle incident, he was lucky Apollo didn’t send him to Tartarus. So while he is half deity and have not ascended yet, many monsters could track on his smell and attack him. Apollo and Artemis had similar experiences too but the fact that they were in Delos rather than in the wild was a giant benefit. Hermes on the other side wasn’t that lucky. He suffered a lot and the only trait that made him win his status was that he helped deliver a little wounded baby bird from one nest to another while his own wing was broken already. Apollo who had been watching him for awhile to see if he would be worth a god or not was hit hard by that action and chose to forgive Hermes. He took upon himself to raise him after he did ascend that day. Hermes still has a sore spot about the suffering he went through due to Apollo, but he loves his half brother a lot even if he doesn’t show it. In the picture above he is having that pain from his blinded eye.
Due to passing all that he did Hermes became a really protective god really. And here we come at the story of Dionysus:
Dionysus as a baby was refused and not liked by the other main gods (Hera and Zeus mostly). Literally Zeus was onto dumping the kid already. Hermes was totally against that idea and after Apollo suggested the idea to the god of speed, he volunteered to raise the kid. The other gods had nothing against it except Hera who was furious. After a few years of Hermes raising Dionysus up she cursed the young half deity with madness which blinded his judgement and sent him to earth with mortals. Hermes was beyond raged when he found out about the whole thing. He refused to send messages anymore and Iris to sympathise with her friend did so too. Olympians and the mortal world could no longer communicate at all. And Dionysus was still insane. That grunge continued for months in the end and finally Hera decided to take off the curse from Dionysus and focused on the other affairs Zeus was having. After all the child had no fault for being born even the way he was born. Hermes went then on a quest to find his little brother. Unfortunately due to the altering of place of living from god to mortal and back Dionysus had grown up way to fast losing a lot of his childhood and teenage years. Yet this whole ordeal had given him the approval of becoming a god. His memory was hazy but he did luckily remember Hermes and had him as a model. I should someday draw their reunion low-key cuz Hermes was bawling happy tears.
In the end the god of trickery, messages and speed has a lot more under his sleeve then we think. Whose story do you want to know next? (Low-key all these ideas randomly pop on my mind during maths class lol)

Fathers Of Olympus[Dark Platonic Greek gods x Reader]
Apollo
You are the first daughter he has with a human so you hold a special place in his heart.
Tries to be the best father for you since day one in your life.
But not in the way you think.
Apollo would murder your mother, and as years go by, he will either curse your suitors until they die or kill them directly.
He even sided with the Trojans just because you fall in love with Achilles.
Apollo isn't only possessive in his romantic life but also in his platonic life.
He would punish you but he will surely destroy anyone who comes near you.
Hermes
He isn't a good father to begin with.
Like he discovered that you were his daughter when he tried to flirt with you, that was until your mother came and he recognized her.
Hermes then tried to fix his mistake, but it's too late as you were creeped out by him.
Not having the patience to deal with your stubborn attitude, he curses you.
And to break the curse you have to obey him and come with him to Olympus.
But when you still refuse, Hermes kidnaps you and locks you up in his temple.
He has decided to rehabilitate you to obey him.
Hades
Hades loves Persephone.
And you are his first child with Persephone, so of course he adores you.
You know that evil personality he is usually shown with? Well, he is actually a big softie towards you.
Hades only shows that evil personality to anyone who he sees as a threat to his family.
He gets jealous when Persephone spends time with you.
However despite Hades spoiling you, he never allows you to leave the underworld even when Persephone goes to visit her mother and wishes to take you with her.
As long as Zeus is alive, Hades is sure you will never be safe.

Honestly the Lucian Dialogs of Gods (Dialogi Deorum) are so lively and so direct!
For instance here is the clip of the dialog between Hermes and Apollo! Apollo is grieving over the death of Hyakinthus!
Hermes: Why are you sad, Apollo? Apollo: Oh Hermes! I am so devastated! My beloved! Hermes: Ah that is worthy of sorrow indeed but whom are you grieving for? Are you sad about Daphne? Apollo: Not at all. I grieve for my lover (eromenos), the Laconian son of Oeballus Hermes: Don't tell me Hyakinthus died! Apollo: Very much so! Hermes: But who, Apollo, who could be so incapable of love so that to kill that beautiful boy?! Apollo: It was by my own hand! Hermes: Undoubtedly you must have gone mad, Apollo! Apollo: No I wasn't, it was an accident that happened without my will! Hermes: How? I want to hear the way! Apollo: He was learning how to throw the discus and I was throwing with him however Zephyr also loved him and he (Hyakinthus) was not interested and because Zephyr couldn't stand the insult when I threw, like we were used to, upwards he (Zephyr) blew over the mount Taygetos and it (the discus) flew towards the boy's head and so much blood flowed from the wound, immediately killing the boy! I attacked immediately Zephyr with my arrows and he ran away back to the mountains. However the boy I buried in a grave in Amyclae where the discus killed him and from his blood, oh Hermes, from his blood I made a beloved flower come out of the earth, the most beautiful flower of all and I wrote on it letters to mourn for the dead! Do you think now that I mourn unjustly? Hermes: Ah, Apollo you already knew you had chosen a mortal for your lover! Do not grieve now that he died!
(Translation by me)
I love how you can literally play the scene so simply! You just need two people. Apollo is crying devastated, Hermes notices and asks him what is going on wishing to hear the story. We also hear that the events with Daphne have passed now but also we see that Apollo grieves for his "eromenos". Hermes originally wonders who would do such a thing and then when Apollo reveals the truth Hermes assumes he was mad or something because who would dare to harm him?! (here again the concept of καλός καγαθός "beautiful and pure)
However after Apollo tells his sad story Hermes seems to drop the "logic bomb" here that Apollo made the choice of loving a mortal man that was destined to die anyways. Somehow not showing as much sympathy at the end of the story! In one way that seems to be the final punchline that in the end of the day the gods that wish to love mortals are already up for sorrows because mortals are destined to die anyways
However the way that we see in such a small piece of dialog how Hermes and Apollo interact; how Hermes is more insensitive while Apollo is grieving and taken over by emotion, we hear their "roles" in the relationship (erastes and eromenos), we hear the story of Zephyr being jealous of Hyakinthus for not returning his feelings, we see the immediate enraged reaction by Apollo and the way he buries the boy back at the place he was hit and also the dramatic details about the child's fate... And finally the Hyakinth flower that says to have the letters of YA (Υάκυνθος ) forming on the leaves I remember mentioning this to my Achilles and Patroclus analysis (I also mentioned it more to my reblogs with @likethexan ) and the way the clip seems to be influenced by the same pattern of rage and grief is really beautifully written!
The Lucian Dialogs are generally so great but the dialogs of gods have some great elements in them such as Zeus and Ganymedes or Hera to Zeus about Ganymedes!

also to me while athena is the one who Gets what apollo is doing, like strategically and politically, dionysus is the one one who catches the psychological and emotional and symbolic nuances of it
athena: (hm. I see. reverse psychology. father truly has not yet realized you are politically sabotaging him. *sigh* genius as expected)
dionysus: ( ...the god of truth truly has an unique way of displaying mental illness. fr does no one realize what it means for the god of reason to act like me???? does everyone just,, forget we operate on symbolism??? and- holy shit did he just lie?? oh this is so much graver than I thought, hermes-)
dionysus: hermes what's your opinion on apollo's latest behavior :) :)
hermes: what? that he apparently feels so secure on his position he feels he can just stop trying?? I didn't expect it of him but now I can't say I'm surprised 🙄🫤
dionysus: ...
...
...
(holy fuck)
#this is pre punishment btw#while everyone else was still “relatively well adjusted” dionysus never bothered to hide how Intensely Mentally ill he was#and now that he has adjusted and learned to cope with it he's finding EVERYONE being SO MUCH WORSE#it's still a wild and novel experience for him lmao. he's the emotionally mature one#pjo dionysus#toa dionysus#toa apollo#pjo apollo#pjo athena#toa athena#pjo hermes#toa hermes#trials of apollo#toa#the trials of apollo#pjo hoo toa#toa headcanons

Aw that’s actually so cute!!! Please if someone makes a fic tag me!
I'm a sucker for Apollo and Hermes being brothers :")
What I think would be cool would be a story about Apollo being a bit jealous of Hermes & Percy's friendship. Causing him to seek out Percy for advice on how to rekindle his relationship with his brother. Shenanigans ensue and it'd be fun. My silly thoughts of course.
