Me: I mean. Not really? It depends, mostly on what they are. Achievements requiring PvP or forced Multiplayer Actions, nah. If I'm already 90% of the way through the achievements and they don't involve that, however? Sure. Why not. What the hell, it'll bug me otherwise.

Sis: I might have gotten you three new games. They were on sale for, like, ten bucks max, and it included a season pass for one of them, so I figured why the hell not. It's not like the ten bucks missing is going to hurt me.

Me: ... Do I even want to know what you just got me?

Sis: Incidentally, what's your opinion on Batman?

Me: ... You do know... I already had access to those game through Steams Family Share, right? Because dad bought them ages ago.

Sis: Well, now you have your own copy so you don't have to wait until the old man isn't playing one of his steam games. I want to watch you play Batman and don't want to wait for him to stop playing whatever star game he's on about this month.

Me: Fine. Hop on discord, I'll figure something out. Hang on. Why do I- Ah, Arkham Origins wasn't part of the bundle. Well, now there's five different Batman games in the library, one of which is the lego game.

The smoke chokes Roman and stings his eyes as he fights desperately against the Joker's hold, dragging him away laughing. It rings in his ear, deafening, as Tiffany hangs dead from the chandelier and Giovanni's corpse is devoured by the flames. Roman tries to scream, but cannot find his voice. The laughter becomes unbearable, seeping into his skin and strangling him.

Roman sits up in bed, a scream on the lips and cold sweat making the sheets cling to his skin.

"It's nothing," he growls to his bodyguards, and they retreat, leaving him in the darkness of his bedroom.

His heart is threatening to tear out of his chest, and Roman wishes it could. The smell of smoke still clings to him somehow, bringing nausea. He reaches for the sleeping pills, takes two and washes them down with the bottle of Jack nearby. Blue and red lights shine far away on the city horizon. The Joker is out there, living his merry life. Once again, Roman promises himself he will make him pay.

For all that the AssCreed and Bioshock multiplayers figured heavily in my early, like, socially active fandom and gaming experiences, I hadn't thought about them for ages. Bioshock multiplayer was something, I tell you.

cannot stop thinking about this gif. joker pointing the gun at his head with so much ease, no concern at all and batman knocking it out of his hand WITHOUT HESITATION. he doesn't take a second to process or consider anything despite the fact that joker just killed 2 people in cold blood right in front of him. joker just committed what is to batman the most heinous act but it doesn't matter. he could do anything and batman would save him every time. augh
