The roaring sound and silver light catches her off guard for a second, choosing to cover her eyes from the light, removing her arm from her face when the door opened. It was finally time for her to shine, to pulverize everyone in the facility like the villains they were. Though first order of business was finding her friends, then they could bring about the power of love and justice together, they'd be unstoppable (at least in queenie's mind).

On Keter in LC-LoR-LC

I was just reminded of something I'd put in a previous post about the concept of Keter being the Crown of the Tree of Life - that is, the culmination of all of the other Sephirot.

In Lobotomy Corporation, Keter is the last Department to be opened (not counting Da'at, which doesn't have agents employed there, no Abnormalities, and no associated Sephirah, since I don't count Carmen for that).

In Library of Ruina, Keter is technically the first to be opened - but it's the last to be activated. All of the other floors have Realisations in the same order that they're opened in, other than Keter.

Limbus Company seems to be going the same route. Currently, Dante has Hokma and Binah, and if we're looking at the Sapling of Light abilities as activating in the same order as the floors of the Library, then we've not doubt got Chesed activating in Canto 8 part 3. What Dante doesn't have is Keter - which makes sense considering the previous two entries in the series.

Keter is "The Knowing I" after all. It is associated with the divine name which means "I Am What I Am" and "represents pure consciousness and transcends human understanding." It also "embodies the qualities of absolute compassion and humility." With those things in mind (sourced from the wiki page), we know that Keter is all about knowing who you are, and being compassionate toward others.

With that in mind it makes complete sense why Ayin couldn't achieve Keter without first defeating his three evil other selves- reflections in the mirror. It makes sense that Angela couldn't achieve Keter without first facing her past, and also Carmen.

It makes sense that Dante will only be able to achieve Keter once they know who they are.

Which leads me to the original point:

Another of the meanings behind "Keter" as a concept reads as follows-

"Keter is also known as "Nothing" (אַיִן, ayin) or "The Hidden Light" (אוֹר הַגָּנוּז, Or HaGanuz), reflecting its abstract and ineffable nature."

In a previous post, I joked on that saying "Hello there, Dante's old name" but honestly, what just occurred to me is that Ayin is present (more or less) in the Keter of both Lobotomy Corporation in that he literally is the Keter Sephirah; we even have to play his Core Suppressions, and Library of Ruina, since Angela hears his voice in the Light.

Which says to me - hidden within the Keter, there is always "Ayin." As the wiki page says, Keter is also known as Nothing, otherwise known as Ayin, or the Hidden Light.

This says to me that no matter what, Ayin IS going to make some sort of appearance the moment that Dante gets to unlock their Keter. Whether that's going to take the form of a conversation, an appearance, or, even, Dante quite simply remembering who they are, and what their other/true name is - which would be highly fitting considering that the "Ayin" would be a "hidden thing" that is then "brought to light," no?

on my (hopefully) final lobcorp facility with three core suppressions remaining (Chesed, Binah, Hokma) and all of the day 45+ stuff. Building the facility for the Project Moon difficulty has been difficult but a lot of fun! I have 2 abnormalities left for 100% codex (QoH and Plague Doctor) Anyways. I've been also playing a lot of Mudae when I'm not grinding Lobcorp and got Adam in my harem. I don't know a lot about this man but?? I know he has something to do with Ayin so. I'm interested.

From the new Sapling of Light mechanic. You can see the cursive text above the ability says "Hokma", and those exact towers and winged clock imagery appears in the Records Team room in LobCorp, Records Team being lead by the Sephirah Hokma. Hokma who turns into a clock and messes with the usual time control abilities during his Core Suppression.

Dante realizes this ability by thinking about why their head is shaped like a clock, and because they don't want Heathcliff to be trapped in his past anymore. Hokma's Core Suppression is about proving to him, who wants to stay in the past, that you're strong enough to face the future. It's thematic overlap! It's crazy! It's amazing!

Okay, also: judging from the fact that this is the first Sapling of Light ability, it's like we're moving downwards from the top of a normally-oriented Sephirot instead of the inverted one in LobCorp, which would imply: - there will be further Sapling of Light abilites that may also be thematically connected to the Sephirah, but we'll be moving in reverse order compared to LobCorp (wonder what the power associated with Binah will be, since that would be next?) - whatever Kether means in this scenario, Dante already has it (and we add one more point on the scoreboard for the Dante-Ayin theory)

Ok look listen this is gonna get long because I have feeling on this asshole I have Warm Hearted Woodsman in the Welfare Department of my facility and I HATE HIM SOSO MUCH he is BY FAR the worst Abnormality I have in the WHOLE FACILITY, and I have SILENT ORCHESTRA in there

Let us compare him to a different Abnormality who lives in my facility who is very similar but I dislike infinitely less

The Scarecrow Stealing My Eyedbarls You see, with the Scarecrow Stealing My Sightballs I have a very simple containment procedure, which is that I recruit a guy with 1 prudence, max Temperance and just 3 in Justice and Fortitude as is standard. I also have the Portrait of Another World in the same department as Scarecrow Stealing My Lookorbs, so I generally have the agent equip that just as a safety measure with their low Prudence

Now, due to having such a high Temperance, this boyo can safely work with nearly ANY abnormality in the upper layers that don't have a special condition about what stats the Employee can have (I.E. they can't work with Spider Bud), so I don't just have an employee who is around ONLY to work on Scarecrow Stealing My Visionspheres

AND CRUCIALLY, MORE IMPORTANT THAN ALL OF THIS, is that if I have a boy with too much Prudence work on Scarecrow, IT BREACHES, which means all I have to do is beat it the fuck up, which isn't that difficult because it's just Scarecrow all he does is walk around and slap people. Very nice. I don't even NEED a specialized agent for it, it just makes it easier.

NOW WARM-HEARTED WOODSMAN ON THE OTHER HAND

This ABSOLUTELY BITCHIN BASTARD of an Abnormality requires you to have LOW TEMPERANCE to work on him, which means LOW WORK SUCCESS CHANCE. AT THE SAME TIME, if you get a BAD RESULT he ALSO breaches, and you are MORE LIKELY to get a bad result because YOU NEED TO HAVE LOW TEMPERANCE TO WORK ON HIS ASS, and crucially, the fact that the agent's temperance is low means THEY CAN'T WORK ON OTHER ABNORMALITIES, meaning whoever I have to work on WHWM can ONLY work on that fucker

But the ABSOLUTE WORST PART is that this ABSOLUTE FUCKER OF AN ABNORMALITY
