Rating superhero/villain dynamics on how gay they are

Batman/Joker:

do i even have to say it. Usually they have a pretty one sided thing with Joker being high-key obsessed with him but Batman has no interest in that at all. Way overhyped imo. bonus points for the Lego Batman Movie 5/10

Superman/Lex Luthor

despite many factors and the fact they have a son together, there’s not a lot of tension. Plus Lex gives major homophobic vibes, (he’d make pride lexcorp merch while backing don’t say gay bills)

2/10 for kon

Green Lantern(Hal Jordan)/Sinestro

oh my god. They have the whole friends to enemies thing that you could swap for lovers to enemies so easily. The worst exes you’ve ever seen. I think they’re actually a couple in some comics (prolly an AU). That one episode of DC Super Hero Girls (the new one) where Hal fights both Sinestro and Carol and they’re said to be on the same level. good shit

Wonder Woman/Cheetah

it depends on the comic. Sometimes they’re very flirty and suggestive and other times they’re tearing each other’s clothes off bc the male author thought it’d be hot. I think that goes for a lot of woman/woman dynamics in comics tho. I honestly don’t get sometimes why they’re fighting bc they seem to have a lot in common.

6/10 they should just date

Dick Grayson/Slade Wilson

Jesus Christ guys wtf are y’all doing. They have the funniest dynamic in all of DC comics. Old ass ‘nam vet picks fight with 15 year old who he blames his son’s death on. While I adore the 2003 teen titans show, they got the dynamic so wrong. Their dynamic only becomes homoerotic once Dick is an adult. They have profound respect for each other but they also fucking hate each other. They’re enemies, they’re friends, they’re co-parents, they’re the least mentally stable people you’ve even seen.

Cheetah, cheetah, ghostling eater

Well this wasn’t something you saw every day, Danny thought inanely as he stood frozen, in front of a crouching were-cat being with her hand deep into some guy’s chest cavity, her mouth red with blood.

“Uh,” Danny intoned, honestly at loss for words. “Can we pretend i didn’t see that?”

The woman snarled like a jaguar and booked it after him on all four.

Danny was man enough to admit he let out the highest pitched shriek he’d ever shrighted as he ran for his life, the woman-cat in hot pursuit.

“Tender meat,” The thing growled and Danny figured it was high time he put an extra pep to his step.

“Nope, nope, nope, nope,” Danny mumbled to himself as he weaved through the trees and did his best not to trip on the uneven forest floor. Yet, despite his best effort, the scary woman was gaining ground, and he could practically feel her breath on his ankles.

Then, like a boon of all boons, Danny broke through the thickest part of the forest, and found himself at the edge of a high cliff. 

“Not today Satan!” He exclaimed then, with zero hesitation, Danny launched himself into the air.

He felt the lightest graze from what he assumed was the woman’s claws just missing his arm, and then he was airborn. And then, he was careening towards the earth at breath-taking speed; it was a good thing he didn’t need to breathe, thought Danny, as he broke the canopy roof. 

Now that he was finally out of sight, let himself transform, just in time to phase through the forest floor and take off again, this time making sure he was fully invisible.

“Well, that was fun,” Danny mumbled to himself as he flew off, as far away from the demon-cat-lady as possible.

The plan to fly over to remote and exotic locales for a fun camping trip with Sam and Tucker was most definitely a bust. At least, they were definitely crossing out Sudan as an option. Danny was not sleeping in the same country as that, no way, no how.

My favourite thing about dceased is villain's redemption.

Cheetah saving a little girl she taught to fucking hate Wonder Woman. She just started an anti-WW movement in an orphanage. Golden. And then she decided to do something stereotipically hero like to save her and other children. I ate it up.

Shiva sacrificing her want to die by a hand of someone better than her, preferrably her own daughter to save Cass - golden.

Deathstroke staying behind to give Rose and Jason a chance at life? Yes!

Others were great too, but honestly I don't remember them that well and I'm not in the mood for panels searching.

i opened tumblr to post my superman ref and realized that apparently i never posted my WW ref either!!! so here are both of them. i'm not terribly interested in creating DC lore outside of gotham, but I spitballed the wonder woman design a while ago and it got the ball rolling in my brain for a couple of characters i am interested in occasionally (superman, WW, cheetah, livewire, etc) so i decided to design them for fun :^) i imagine that in a perfect world where clipsverse is a critically acclaimed batman tv show, they would have a special end-of-season crossover episode or maybe a direct to streaming movie if we all got lucky.

my thesis for superman's costume was more or less "cowboy king". the cowboy part stemmed half from my dislike of his traditional costume (sorry superman ily im just not with it) and half from a desire to give him a gimmick that tied more into the small town kansas workin' man part of his archetype. the royalty part i thought was a fun kind of nod to his weird alien royalty/savior of the people aspects - it doesn't need to be entirely practical because he's so superpowered that he can get away with having a big flowing cape on him and such.

cheetah and livewire are pretty self-explanatory. this image of livewire is mostly just fanart of her btas self, and cheetah i wanted to give a more naturalistic "feral" look and less "cheetah fur superglued onto a naked human". i like tall furry women can you tell yet
