Amazingly Trustworthy
A consistent God faithfulness helps us become trustworthy. Just A Thought on how amazingly trustworthy our God is and how we can become more like Him. Enjoy!
Do pray for us, that the Word of the Lord may speed on (spread rapidly and run its course) and be glorified (extolled) and triumph, even as [it has done] with you, And that we may be delivered from perverse (improper, unrighteous) and wicked (actively malicious) men, for not everybody has faith and is held by it. Yet the Lord is faithful, and He will strengthen [you] and set you on a firm…

"DON'T WAIT UNTIL THANKSGIVING TO THANK HIM!"
Read: 1 Chronicles 16:7-36 “O give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; for His mercy and loving-kindness endure forever” (1 Chronicles 16:34 AMP) We often think of Gratitude in terms of Gain: Someone gives you a ride to work. A neighbor cooks a meal when you’ve had surgery. Your boss notices your hard work and gives you a raise. The kids clean up the house or your husband cooks dinner. For…

Colossians 1:15-18 NLT 15 Christ is the visible image of the invisible God. He existed before anything was created and is supreme over all creation, 16 for through him God created everything in the heavenly realms and on earth. He made the things we can see and the things we can’t see— such as thrones, kingdoms, rulers, and authorities in the unseen world. Everything was created through him and for him. 17 He existed before anything else, and he holds all creation together. 18 Christ is also the head of the church, which is his body. He is the beginning, supreme over all who rise from the dead. So he is first in everything.

Couldn’t answer this question bc of a glitch
Buttt
Great question — and I’m glad you asked, because this is one of the most misunderstood points people bring up.
Yes, I quoted Leviticus — but I’m not cherry-picking. I understand that Leviticus contains civil, ceremonial, and moral laws that were given to the nation of Israel under the Old Covenant. And as Christians, we’re no longer under the ceremonial or civil laws — like dietary restrictions or clothing rules — because Jesus fulfilled the law (see Matthew 5:17).
Colossians 2:16-17 – “Therefore do not let anyone judge you by what you eat or drink… These are a shadow of the things that were to come; the reality, however, is found in Christ.”
Mark 7:18-19 – Jesus Himself declared all foods clean, saying “nothing that enters a person from outside can defile them.”
But moral laws, like prohibitions against murder, theft, adultery, and yes, same-sex relations, are reaffirmed in the New Testament as still binding for followers of Christ.
1 Corinthians 6:9–10, Romans 1:26–27, and 1 Timothy 1:9–10 all reaffirm that same-sex sexual activity is sinful — not just in the Old Testament, but in the New.
So when I reference Leviticus, I’m not doing it in isolation. I’m showing the continuity of God’s moral law — a standard of holiness that reflects His nature. And sexual ethics are part of that.
⸻
Just because some Old Testament laws were specific to the Jewish nation and no longer apply doesn’t mean none of them do. The moral law transcends culture, covenants, and time — and it’s consistently upheld throughout Scripture.
If I believed God’s standard changed just because society did, that would be cherry-picking.

Keeping Your Faith Strong When Christians Disappoint
When navigating the Christian faith, it’s completely natural—even expected—to sometimes feel irritated or disappointed with your own community, especially when a prominent Christian acts rudely or fails to reflect the love and humility we expect. No one is perfect; the church is made up of imperfect people, including leaders. Remember, the church is not a museum of saints but a hospital for sinners (1 Corinthians 12:27; James 5:16), and all of us are in a process of sanctification (Philippians 1:6). While this doesn’t excuse rudeness, it helps us keep perspective: the failure of any individual, no matter how famous, does not nullify the truth of Christ or the gospel of love, forgiveness, and grace.
It’s important to distinguish human failure from Christian doctrine. Dwelling on others’ mistakes can divert your gaze from the true focus of your faith—Jesus Christ, the perfect model of love, humility, and service (1 Peter 2:21; John 13:34-35). The deeper you immerse yourself in His teachings and example, the less shaken you will be by the behavior of others. Instead of letting anger consume you, pray for the person who hurt or disappointed you (Matthew 5:44). Ask God to work in their heart as He works in yours, and pray for yourself, asking for discernment, patience, and a forgiving heart (Colossians 3:12-13).
If you’re new to the faith or feeling shaken by such situations, certain spiritual practices are especially helpful. Prioritize studying God’s Word, especially the Gospels—Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John—to truly know Jesus and align your expectations with His character, not people’s (2 Timothy 3:16-17). Books like Ephesians and Philippians offer mature insights about church unity and Christian conduct (Ephesians 4:1-3; Philippians 2:1-4). Develop a consistent prayer life, seeking God’s guidance to see situations through His eyes, asking for personal growth in patience, love, and forgiveness, and praying for your community and its leaders.
Seek discipleship and mentorship from mature believers who can offer wisdom and share how they have overcome similar disappointments (Proverbs 27:17). Join small groups where authentic relationships and mutual support flourish; these can soften the blow of public failures and help you grow in community. Regularly self-reflect on how you react to others’ failings, ensuring your expectations are realistic and your judgment fair (Galatians 6:4-5).
Finally, remember forgiveness is central to Christian life. Forgiving does not mean condoning wrong behavior; it means releasing yourself from bitterness and obeying Christ’s command, which leads to your own healing (Matthew 6:14-15; Ephesians 4:31-32).
Frustrations will arise, but they are also opportunities to deepen your understanding of the gospel and grow in grace and maturity. Jesus Himself faced betrayal and denial from His closest followers and loved them nonetheless (Luke 22:54-62; John 13:1-17). Stay rooted in Him—He never fails, even when we or others do.

Mormon thoughts on circumcision?
Many Latter-day Saints are circumcised because it is a social norm in the United States, but it is not medically necessary or even recommended, it is merely a social tradition.
The Book of Mormon specifically states that the law of circumcision "is done away" in Christ (Moroni 8:8).
The Doctrine & Covenants explains that in the early church (meaning the time of the apostles Paul, Peter, and so on) there was "contention" over the practice of circumcision, and it was done away with so that people knew to put their faith in Christ and not in the Law of Moses (D&C 74:2-7).
In the Bible, the Apostles and Elders at the Council of Jerusalem decided to stop circumcision as a requirement for Gentile converts to Christianity (Acts 15:1–35).
Some other New Testament passages that say circumcision is no longer required include: Galatians 2:1–3; 5:1–11; 6:11–16 1 Corinthians 7:17–20 Colossians 2:8–12 Philippians 3:1–3
There is no religious reason for Mormons to be circumcised.

Thoughts on Today's Verse…
Two things I trust implicitly:
I. God's power and might. II. My joy at getting to share in his presence forever. My best efforts will always fall short, but God's grace is greater and more glorious than my best efforts! The faultlessness that I have when I stand before God will be based on his grace and mercy for me in Jesus. Jesus will present me as holy in God's sight, without blemish, and free from any guilt (Colossians 1:22). How can I not praise him from a thankful heart as I anticipate seeing him face to face in his glory?

This is so cool. I have known about this for a while but the more I learn the more I heal!
“When you meditate on God's truth, you're not just tilling your mind with nice ideas-you're literally rewiring your brain.
Philippians 4:8 tells us to think about what is true, noble, and praiseworthy. Now we know why: your brain takes shape around what you focus on.
Neuroplasticity tells us that thoughts create neural pathways.
The more you think something, the stronger that pathway becomes.
This is why Paul told us to "set your minds on things above." (Colossians 3:2)
What you focus on, you reinforce.”
THIS IS THE POWER OF SCRIPTURE.
• LIVING & ACTIVE (HEBREWS 4:12)
• GOD-BREATHED (2 TIMOTHY 3:16-17)
• CUTS BETWEEN SOUL & SPIRIT (HEBREWS 4:12)
• RENEWS YOUR MIND (ROMANS 12:2)
• A LAMP TO YOUR FEET (PSALM 119:105)
• STRENGTHENS & ENCOURAGES (JOSHUA 1:8-9)
GOD DESIGNED IT.
THE APOSTLE PAUL
WROTE ABOUT IT.

Don't Put God On Hold
Recently I've felt far from God. I feel like my testimony is a series of highs and lows. Moments when I'm full of the Holy Spirit and moments when I'm full of my flesh. Recently I've been very worried about what college life will entail. I'm worried that I will fall victim to sin or that I'll miss out on "college milestones" as a result of my being a Christian. I'm worried I'll be labeled as weird prudish or even judgemental. However, it is silly to be worried about things that have not even happened. As I began to be worried I stopped reading my Bible, began listening to sinful music again, and giving in to my other common sins.
Despite all of this God was still close by. He hadn't left. I kept seeing reels about Jesus. I kept hearing those around me at Church spread the Gospel. And I kept wishing to feel the love and peace I felt when my heart was on fire.
Today it was through reading Colossians 1:13-20 that I saw the centrality of Christ not only in my life but in the universe and existence itself.
13 For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves, 14 in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins. 15 The Son is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. 16 For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him. 17 He is before all things, and in him all things hold together. 18 And he is the head of the body, the church; he is the beginning and the firstborn from among the dead, so that in everything he might have the supremacy. 19 For God was pleased to have all his fullness dwell in him, 20 and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through his blood, shed on the cross.
Christ has never left me ever since I committed myself to Him. I know that I am overburdened by my worries and that I often am lazy when it comes to my faith. I tend to not read my Bible for weeks and then go crazy reading scripture and repeat. This cycle occurs because I continue to give in to the same sins. The same fears. The same sadness. By pushing Him to the back I've pushed myself over the edge. God is my strength. For HE IS THE BEGINNING. HE IS MY BEGINNING AND ENDING AND EVERYTHING. I cannot live without Him. My time away from Him (evident in my absence in positing) has shown me that even when I'm far from God I'm still thirsting after him because he is the only one who satisfies.
Colossians 1:9-12 is a prayer for spiritual strength, knowledge, and wisdom of God. I pray this over myself and over every one of you who reads this. Know that God loves you and once you commit to Him even in your worst times He is just waiting for the moment for you to reach out to Him.
9 For this reason, since the day we heard about you, we have not stopped praying for you. We continually ask God to fill you with the knowledge of his will through all the wisdom and understanding that the Spirit gives, 10 so that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and please him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God, 11 being strengthened with all power according to his glorious might so that you may have great endurance and patience, 12 and giving joyful thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of his holy people in the kingdom of light.

You don’t have to gaze long at the night sky to marvel at the wonder of God’s awe-inspiring handiwork. The massive stretch of galaxies and the cloudy mass of our own Milky Way remind us of the spectacular creation and the sustaining work of Jesus by whom it is all held together (Colossians 1:16-17).
God’s creation overflows with His continuous announcement that He is real, He is amazing and majestic, He is awesome and powerful and people know this. Romans 1:19-20: “For what can be known about God is plain to everyone, because God has shown it to them. For His invisible attributes, namely, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world.”
Prayer – Almighty Father, thank You that everywhere I look I see evidence of You. Everything I hear is proof You are real and amazing. Your creation shouts, “There’s a God, there’s a God!” Help me to see Your majesty and never cease to be in awe of You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
