I wanted to show you all Slaynil, or in other words, Faenil's Thalmor Embassy outfit. They really said that they're gonna show up and just kill everyone with their looks. It's kinda funny to compare the casual crusty and scrungly Faenil to the glammed up party diva Faenil. But you have no idea how fucking insane I go for juicy dramatic party infiltration storylines, and I'm definitely gonna make Diplomatic Immunity in Faenil's fic the plotline I always wanted it to be. There's so much potential and so much to explore, so I'll really need to use my thinking cap for that one LMAO

Okay I'm so sleep deprived so pardon whatever this is but something that's got me FUCKED up about ai generated pictures songs writing is that it just fucking kills the ability to analyse for me because there's no fucking INTENTION behind it. Like why was this decision made why were these colours used what does that say about the work NOTHING because a bunch of programming took work that DID have intent and theme and purposeful choices and turned it into SLOP. Like I COULD analyse this but it doesn't MEAN anything it's EMPTY I want to EXPLODEEE

Hi! So I just stumbled across this IF (SUPER interesting conceot btw i enjoyed it more than i expected!) and I scrolled through ur blog a bit but couldn't find anything related to this so-

If it wouldn't be too spoilery to answer, may I ask how MC and V's relationship would be perceived by the other staff at the office?

Like, do they keep it under wraps? Does everyone know anyway cause it's just so obvious? Do they know about the shift in the dynamics and does MC get teased about it?

How MC's coworkers perceive their relationship would depend a bit on MC themself. But I think V, at least, would prefer to keep a romantic relationship with MC quiet and would likely try to avoid any special treatment.

As for how successful V actually is in those endeavors... well... honestly I think the whole office would be gossiping about their "office romance" within the week lmao. V is simply not nearly as subtle as they think they are in these matters.

And the whole "no special treatment" thing? Yeah, I give it a month tops. V is too weak to a romanced MC to completely manage the whole work/private life separation thing. 😅

Amara would likely be the first to catch on and would be an absolute menace about it. Especially for MCs she's close to, the teasing will be merciless and involve shitty gag gifts popping up on both their desks. Poor V is in for a time™.

I finally FINALLY started listening to the Magnus Protocol this evening.

I took over a MONTH to listen through all of the bonus content, and generally just let my absolute heartbreak and obsession with Jon and Martin ease before diving in to a new cast of characters.

I didn’t wanna repeat of what happened all the way back in 2009, where I resented Matt Smith’s 11th doctor for simply existing and not being David Tennant. I didn’t want to resent the OIAR for not being my beloved Archival team. I spent a MONTH being worried because I like Jonny and Alex as voice actors so much and my ears are very picky. I listened to the whole NineIIMidnight group critiquing the different vocal performances, and how difficult it is to hit the right tone when telling a scary story that doesn’t make me think “you sound bored “or “you sound like you’re doing a commercial this isn’t scary” or “you’re doing a silly voice”. (though the process of critique at least made me feel better that a year and a half away from professional podcast producing has not atrophied my ears) (also many of them were really good I’m not shitting on those other podcasts to be clear). For fucks sake, some of the rusty fears didn’t even hit quite right, depending on who was doing the read that day (I love the cast so much, but not all “statement” voices are created equal).

But I was FINALLY ready today. And even though I’m picky, I trusted and believed that Alex‘s vocal direction, and his and Jonny’s combined writing, and the team’s brilliant sound design would be enough to fill the hole in my heart that the ending of Archives left.

AND THEN GUESS WHOSE VOICE CAME ON FOR THE FIRST STATEMENT sorry INCIDENT

Thank God, I was driving down the highway where no one could hear me because I started SCREAMING. Surprise? Joy? Indignation? SCREAMING. Just AAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH

AND WHAT STORY ARE YOU TELLING ME ALEX? Oh it’s about missing your dead husband and going to extreme and spooky lengths to get him back. It’s about gay yearning and trauma OK COOL COOL OK OK COOL

SO YOU’RE TELLING ME that 1 year ago these two mysterious voices appeared in your computer systems to read *some* incidents. The true ones. AND YOU EXPECT ME TO BE NORMAL ABOUT THIS. NO IM SCREAMING. JONNY DID YOU INVENT THIS CONCEPT JUST TO HURT ME.

TLDR: I guess I’ll be listening to all of Protocol in time for season 2.
