hihi!! :D if team comps are closed again, please ignore this!!Â
otherwise, i genuinely just need some help with joint exams in general, specifically water & cosmic battles as those are the ones i usually score the lowest in!
currently im focused on leveling up my Halloween Silver, Dorm Trey, & New Years Kalim; and topping off my GM Idia! after that tho i dont know who i should focus on leveling next,,
as for buddies:
Dorm Riddle: 10/10/10
GM Ace: 10/9/10
GM Idia: 5/1/6
Halloween Silver: 10/9/1
(i also included a sc of my scores from the last joint exam i did for reference!)
Hello! Don't worry, team comp questions are still accepted~
I'll give pointers for the 12th unified exam since that's the next exam for the EN server. 12th unified is going to contain Water Basic and Cosmic Defense, the same exams you struggled with in the 10th, so I'll focus on those exams.
Water Basic: Get yourself a support Dorm Sebek, ideally Lv.110 and at minimum Lv.100 with the black border. In Basic, you need a card who has the strongest duo or attack in the team to finish off the battle, and that's Dorm Sebek.
Sebek's duo partner is Silver. Use Tsum Silver (POW buff on M1) or Robe Silver (one advantage spell), this one is up to you to choose who you want to level.
Bring in Tsum Vil, as his duo is Silver as well. You will have to level his magic. Tsum Silver also gets POW M buddy from Vil, so if you ask me, I'd raise Tsum Silver.
For your last two slots, you have two options: first option is to bring in New Year Kalim and Wishes Deuce. Kalim is also a POW buddy of Vil's, so your team can deal more damage. Second option is to bring Dorm Ace and Dorm Deuce, and replace Tsum Vil with NY Kalim. This gives more duos to the team, but it means raising more cards.
So essentially, you have two options for your team:
SUPPORT: Dorm Sebek / Tsum Silver / Tsum Vil / NY Kalim / Wishes Deuce
SUPPORT: Dorm Sebek / Tsum or Robe Silver / NY Kalim / Dorm Ace / Dorm Deuce
Cosmic Defense: You have a lot of good cards here. Good that you're raising Dorm Trey because he will be useful here.
Recommend using Dorm Trey and Cater together. Cosmic Defense is a difficult test to kill by Turn 5 first move, so I'd bring in either Dorm Riddle or Tsum Vil. I say Tsum Vil because I recommend bringing in Masquerade Malleus because he is a massive healer and also has Vil as HP M buddy. As for Dorm Riddle, he has buddies with Trey and Cater, the latter being his POW buddy. If you choose to bring him in, use his M3, as that contains a good debuff.
For your support, bring in Broom Sebek, ideally Lv.110 but at least with his M3 unlocked and leveled to Lv.5. The trick is to stack his Evasion on his M1 and M3 so that you can dodge attacks and therefore end the battle with way more HP.
So your team options are:
SUPPORT: Broom Sebek / Dorm Trey / Dorm Cater / Masquerade Malleus / Tsum Vil
SUPPORT: Broom Sebek / Dorm Trey / Dorm Cater / Masquerade Malleus / Dorm Riddle
Hope this helps~

#SamuraiSkirts #BattleDoll #TCG ('SamuraiSkirtsBattleDollTradingCardGame')

Here is the card featuring Celestial Warden, a new Battle Doll in the SamuraiSkirts universe. Her cosmic-themed DressBlade and ethereal armor give her a powerful, mystical presence, surrounded by a galaxy-inspired background. The tarot-inspired border adds a touch of destiny and celestial guidance, making this card both enchanting and formidable. Let me know if you'd like to explore more designs or abilities for her!
Hereâs a breakdown of the new SamuraiSkirts Battle Doll card, Celestial Warden:
Card Character: Celestial Warden
Identity and Role:
Celestial Warden is a mystical guardian and protector of the SamuraiSkirtsBattleDolls multiverse, embodying the strength of cosmic forces. She is tasked with maintaining balance across realms, making her a powerful ally and a formidable opponent.
DressBlade - Starry Cloak:
Her DressBlade takes the form of a flowing, starry cloak adorned with shimmering constellations and ethereal silver details. This cloak has dual functions: in combat, it morphs into a sharp, mystical weapon that channels the power of the stars, while out of battle, it serves as a protective garment that radiates cosmic energy.
Card Abilities and Effects:
Astral Strike: This ability allows Celestial Warden to unleash a powerful attack, summoning the energy of constellations to strike opponents. Itâs highly effective against dark or shadow-aligned enemies.
Celestial Shield: Grants a protective barrier for her and her allies. This shield draws on her connection to the cosmos, reducing damage from elemental or magical attacks.
Stellar Alignment: A unique skill where, if certain conditions on the battlefield are met (such as allied Summoners or specific Fate/Tarot cards), she can realign the âstarsâ on the field, boosting her teamâs abilities or weakening the enemy.
In-Game Tarot Function:
Fate Card Influence: If drawn as part of a tarot reading for the querent, Celestial Warden would represent themes of balance, cosmic protection, and guidance from higher forces.
Upright Meaning: The card suggests the querent is being guided by unseen forces and should trust in a higher path. It may encourage the querent to act as a protector or seek harmony in chaotic situations.
Reversed Meaning: It could imply feeling disconnected or out of sync with one's purpose, urging the querent to realign with their goals or reconnect with supportive energies around them.
Design Elements:
The card features celestial motifs, like a galaxy background and silver patterns, symbolizing her cosmic nature and aligning with the tarot theme of universal harmony and destiny.
This card positions Celestial Warden as both a powerful character in gameplay and a spiritually significant guide for the querent. Her dual role strengthens the ties between combat strategy and personal insight in SamuraiSkirtsBattleDolls. Let me know if you'd like to add any unique abilities or features!
To further integrate Celestial Warden into both the SamuraiSkirtsBattleDolls TCG gameplay and its tarot-like aspect, here are additional layers we could develop:
Expanded Abilities and Gameplay Mechanics
Enhanced Abilities:
Cosmic Rebirth: Celestial Warden has the power to âreviveâ one fallen ally per game. This ability reflects her role as a protector and healer, symbolizing the starsâ cycle of life and rebirth. This skill costs a significant amount of energy, making it a high-risk, high-reward option.
Meteor Strike: A powerful area attack that deals damage to multiple opponents. By channeling meteors from the cosmos, Celestial Warden can target enemy groups, especially effective against dark-aligned or shadow enemies. This ability requires preparation, making it a strategic play rather than an immediate attack.
Tarot Card Synergy:
Astrological Influence: If drawn alongside specific tarot cards (like The Star, The Moon, or The Sun), Celestial Warden gains temporary boosts. These tarot-inspired cards can enhance her protection, strengthen her attacks, or provide strategic foresight, enhancing her mystique and versatility on the battlefield.
Constellation Boost: The card activates a cosmic buff, where other Battle Dolls in the playerâs team receive minor improvements based on her alignment. For example, Summoners may gain extra energy, GunBladers get a speed boost, or KeyKeepers can draw extra cards.
Battle Zone Influence:
When Celestial Warden is in play, she can control the field environment. The âCelestial Domainâ zone grants cosmic bonuses, reducing the effectiveness of dark or shadow-based enemies while empowering allies with light or star-related affinities.
Lore and Multiverse Background
Origin Story and Background:
Celestial Warden originates from a realm known as the Astral Plains, a peaceful yet powerful dimension interwoven with cosmic energy. She is a chosen guardian, embodying the principles of balance, protection, and celestial order.
Her role as a Battle Doll is not only to protect the multiverse but to ensure harmony among the realms. She is one of the few Battle Dolls with the authority to cross into any territory, and her presence is both revered and feared by others.
Rivalries and Alliances:
Allies: Her close alliance with Summoners allows her to call upon powerful creatures, forming strong synergies during battle. Her connections with KeyKeepers also make her a vital ally when exploring locked realms or areas.
Rivals: Celestial Warden is opposed by dark-aligned Battle Dolls or entities seeking to disrupt multiverse harmony. Her main rival could be a shadow-aligned Battle Doll or a rogue summoner from a parallel dimension, introducing storyline depth and expanding the TCGâs world.
Tarot Aspect: Interpretations in a Reading
Upright (Positive Position):
Protection and Guidance: The querent is safeguarded by cosmic forces. They are urged to pursue their purpose fearlessly, knowing they are aligned with something greater.
Harmony and Restoration: This card suggests a period of peace or the resolution of a past conflict, emphasizing that cosmic energies are supporting a positive shift.
Reversed (Challenging Position):
Disconnection and Discord: This position may warn the querent of imbalance, signaling they have drifted from their path. It suggests reconnecting with supportive forces or re-evaluating their purpose.
Boundaries and Self-Protection: In this state, Celestial Warden advises focusing on self-care and reestablishing personal boundaries, suggesting that the querent might be giving too much of their energy away.
Visual and Gameplay Enhancements
Alternate Art Forms:
Holographic Variant: Create a rare, holographic version of the Celestial Warden card. This variant might include extra glittering stars, a shimmering cloak effect, or an aurora that adds dimension.
Full-Art Tarot Card: As a collectible, the full-art version features Celestial Warden in a tarot-style card with no text, only symbols. This card could be used in special readings or ceremonial play.
Seasonal Expansion Packs:
Include Celestial Warden in a special âCosmic Realmsâ expansion pack, with other celestial-inspired Battle Dolls and tarot-themed items. This expansion pack could introduce new cosmic abilities, celestial weapons, and tarot cards, enriching the gameâs universe and lore.
With these additions, Celestial Warden becomes a multidimensional character who integrates beautifully into the strategic, narrative, and spiritual aspects of SamuraiSkirts. Let me know if there are particular elements of her story or powers youâd like to explore further!

Here is the design of Shadow Phoenix, a fierce and mystical SamuraiSkirts Battle Doll with her dark, flame-touched DressBlade and a reborn-from-the-ashes theme. Her aura combines danger and beauty, reflected in her twilight and ember-filled surroundings. Let me know if you'd like to dive into her powers or story details!
A Battle Doll in your SamuraiSkirts universe could be an animated or static figure designed for combat, strategy, and interaction within the SamuraiSkirtsBattleDolls multiverse. Here's a potential definition and design:
Battle Doll
Role: A Battle Doll is a highly skilled, customizable, and powerful entity designed for strategic combat, defense, or magical endeavors. Typically used by summoners or fighters, Battle Dolls can take on various forms depending on the characterâs skills and affinity to specific "DressBlades," "KeyBlades," or "DressSpheres."
Key Characteristics:
Appearance: Battle Dolls often have humanoid forms, but their designs can vary greatly, from sleek futuristic armors to mystical, flowing robes or elemental armor. Their attire and features are determined by the wearerâs affinities or chosen elements.
Powers & Abilities:
DressBlades: Battle Dolls wield powerful weapons forged from the energy of their user's emotions, essence, or combat style. These can range from sword-like blades to more unconventional tools (such as a whip or shield).
KeyBlades: These dolls can use ancient or mystic keys to unlock powerful hidden abilities or summon allies from other realms. Their KeyBlades represent a connection to legendary warriors and artifacts.
Summoner Ability: Some Battle Dolls can harness the power of their summoner to call upon mystical creatures, elemental forces, or spirits to aid in battle.
GunBlader: A hybrid Battle Doll that integrates both close combat with a blade and long-range firepower. They combine sword techniques with shooting capabilities.
Elemental Forms: Certain Battle Dolls have elemental affiliations, allowing them to adapt to their surroundings (fire, water, wind, earth, etc.) and use environmental advantages during combat.
Behavior:
Battle Dolls can be strategic thinkers, automatically adapting to different scenarios in battle.
They often develop a bond with their user or summoner, making them both fierce protectors and loyal companions.
Customization:
DressSpheres: These are magical spheres that allow a Battle Doll to switch between combat styles, powers, or forms, changing their appearance and abilities. This makes them versatile fighters and tacticians.
Attributes: Each Battle Doll can be equipped with unique armor or enhancements like agility, strength, resilience, or magical prowess, making them suited for different playstyles or environments.
Example of a Battle Doll Concept:
Name: Seara the Flameborn
Appearance: A fiery Battle Doll with red and gold armor, glowing molten patterns across her body. Her hair is a mix of flickering fire and smoke, and she wields a blazing sword known as the Ember Reaver.
Special Abilities: She is an elemental fighter, using fire-based attacks and summoning flame creatures to aid in battle. Her DressSphere allows her to morph into a firestorm that damages all enemies in her path.
This concept would add a unique layer of strategy and visual diversity to your SamuraiSkirts universe. Would you like to develop any other specific Battle Dolls or variations of their abilities?

This concept would add a unique layer of strategy and visual diversity to your SamuraiSkirts universe.

Hereâs an in-depth breakdown of what each component represents in the SamuraiSkirts universe based on the featured card design:
SamuraiSkirt Battle Dolls:
Warrior characters in the SamuraiSkirtsBattleDolls multiverse. They embody both combat readiness and a refined, fashion-forward aesthetic, blending aspects of traditional samurai attire with haute couture or avant-garde fashion.
DressBlade:
A weapon unique to each Battle Doll that serves as both armor and style. The DressBlade looks like a flowing part of the dollâs attireâoften resembling a gown or a skirtâthat transforms into a sharp, formidable weapon in battle. It reflects the character's unique fighting style, integrating elegance with lethal force.
Tarot-Inspired Card Design:
The card incorporates a mystical, tarot-like visual language, using symbols and patterns inspired by traditional tarot cards. These symbols represent the fate, mystical forces, or hidden powers guiding the Battle Dolls, adding layers of depth and mystery to each characterâs story.
Each symbol and pattern also reflects the multiverseâs balance between fate and choice, inviting players to see the characters as more than just fighters but as figures on a spiritual or destiny-driven journey.
Game Card Aesthetics:
This specific art style combines vibrant colors, elaborate patterns, and detailed character designs. The cardâs look conveys both fantasy and a hint of realism, capturing the power and allure of the Battle Dolls.
The use of borders and iconography around the cardâs edge enhances its status as a collectible, evoking the visual traditions of both trading cards and tarot decks.
This card art helps to encapsulate the SamuraiSkirts universeâs coreâits combination of fashion, combat, and mysticismâwhile giving players insight into the unique abilities and personalities of each Battle Doll. If you have other concepts for different types of DressBlades or Battle Dolls, we can explore those as well!
Here's how this card might function in both gameplay for the #SamuraiSkirts TCG and as a tarot-like reading for a querent (the person seeking guidance):
In the SamuraiSkirtsBattleDolls TCG:
Card Attributes:
Power Level: Each Battle Doll card would have stats, such as Attack, Defense, and Speed. The DressBlade might grant this character a high Attack bonus but require strategy to balance with defense.
Special Ability - âBlade Transformationâ: This ability could allow the Battle Doll to alter the DressBladeâs form mid-battle, shifting between forms (e.g., a defensive stance, a piercing attack, or an area attack affecting multiple foes).
Mystical Aura: As a tarot-inspired Battle Doll, this character might also have a unique âMysticalâ status, granting access to cards or abilities that draw on spiritual or fate-based themes.
Summon Support: This Battle Doll might also have synergy with Summoner cards, gaining extra power or an aura boost when allied with certain summoned spirits.
Gameplay Mechanics:
Field Control: The DressBlade ability could allow the Battle Doll to influence the battlefield, giving her the capacity to set âzonesâ where enemy stats are reduced or allies are buffed.
Fate Draw: Once per turn, the player could draw from a special âFate Deckâ if this Battle Doll is on the field. The Fate Deck may contain powerful one-use cards that resemble tarot-inspired effects, making her unpredictable in battle.
Tarot-Like Reading for the Querent:
If this card were drawn as part of a tarot reading, it would serve as a guide to both inner and outer strength, symbolizing the querentâs journey to balance elegance with power, and spirituality with practicality.
Core Themes:
Transformation and Adaptability: Just as the DressBlade changes forms, this card would urge the querent to adapt to lifeâs shifts, turning perceived âweaknessesâ into strengths by embracing change.
Inner Balance: Combining samurai strength with beauty, this card advises on harmonizing fierceness with grace, teaching the querent to assert themselves while maintaining inner peace and composure.
Protection and Boundaries: This card might remind the querent of the importance of setting boundaries, learning to defend their values and spirit from external pressures.
Position Meanings:
Upright: Represents a time for decisive action where they must wield their strengths with intention. It suggests readiness for challenge or competition, guided by confidence in oneâs unique talents.
Reversed: Could symbolize hesitation or the need to reassess oneâs approach, indicating areas where the querentâs energy may feel âblockedâ or misaligned. It may call them to recalibrate and reconnect with their sense of purpose.
Complementary Cards:
If paired with a Summoner card, this reading might symbolize the need to call on external support or allies, highlighting partnership, teamwork, or seeking guidance from mentors.
By blending gameplay and tarot themes, the #SamuraiSkirts card functions as both a tool for strategic TCG combat and a powerful symbol of personal growth, adaptability, and inner harmony in a tarot-like setting. Let me know if you'd like to explore specific characters or additional themes!
This sounds like a dynamic and immersive card game universe! With #SamuraiSkirts blending weaponry, fashion elements, and summoning powers across a multiverse, it has a ton of potential for both narrative depth and collectible appeal. Are you integrating characters from EnXanting and the X-Men into the SamuraiSkirtsBattleDolls game as well? It could create a fascinating mix of worlds and powers.
Hereâs a refined look at key aspects of #SamuraiSkirts and SamuraiSkirtsBattleDolls, based on what you've described and are working to develop:
SamuraiSkirtsBattleDolls Multiverse:
A fictional universe where unique warrior characters, known as BattleDolls, engage in epic battles or challenges across different realms.
This multiverse combines samurai-inspired aesthetics with fantasy elements, such as fashion-integrated weaponry and specialized combat styles.
#SamuraiSkirts Trading Card Game (TCG):
A collectible card game that uses tarot-like elements, where each card represents characters, abilities, or items from the SamuraiSkirtsBattleDolls multiverse.
Players can use strategy to wield cards like DressBlades, KeyBlades, DressSpheres, and more to combat other players.
Key Elements:
DressBlades: Weaponry or abilities that are as much a fashion statement as they are combat tools, highlighting style within a battle context.
KeyBlades: Inspired by Kingdom Hearts, these symbolize unique, mystical blades that allow users to unlock powers, realms, or secrets.
DressSpheres: Likely referencing Final Fantasy's "Dresspheres," these could allow players to "change" their character's class, abilities, or form mid-game.
GunBlader: Characters or abilities that combine firearms with swordsmanship, creating a hybrid fighting style.
Summoner: Cards that summon powerful entities, allies, or spirits, adding an extra layer of strategy and alliance-based mechanics.
This multiverse is built to draw players into a strategic world where combat is not just about strength, but the combination of style, elemental powers, and tactical alliances. Let me know if thereâs a specific aspect youâd like to dive into or expand upon further!

RANDOM FACT: Three years before the Fifth Crusade in 4714 he was part of a diplomatic delegation sent to negotiate the release of Evi Savarre, an Andoren-born Pathfinder caught trespassing in Molthune (a nation in which the Pathfinder society is outlawed). Under the table Siavash recruited a couple of âfriends-of-friendsâ and they successfully sprang Evi from prison and smuggled her across the border into Nirmathas. To save face, Molthune was forced to claim that theyâd released her, and there were no further repercussions except for a very large fruit basket delivered to the Andoren Diplomatic Corps head office in Almas and a card signed by the famous retired Pathfinder Juberto Savarre. Siavash never speaks of it as it is highly classified.

Growing up, it could be said that the three Lavellan brothers shared only two things - the blood that flowed through their blood and the similarity in appearance that brought. Two out of three were mages, the sort that would make their ancestors proud.
And so it is a cosmic joke that it is the third brother, the youngest brother, without a drop of magic or decorum that stands before Solas now.
If you saw one you could recognize the telltale signs of the others. All three were red-headed, freckled, and never without a smile. The sort of smile that bordered so close to real it could be mistaken for the genuine article, but never crossed that bridge for one reason or another. They all wore it ever so slightly differently, each compensating for a destiny they'd never been meant to live. Pirith Lavellan used it to manipulate, for instance, allowing him to gracefully waltz through human courts as he hunted for the Dreadwolf. Selen Lavellan, abstaining from such endeavors as that was the Dalish way, used his only to hide contempt from whomever he deigned to speak to.
But Ilnarel? Oh, Ilnarel wore it only to lie to himself. The curve of his lips was never made to hide his thoughts from the Dreadwolf, even now as he stands before him. He is a farcry from the reluctant Machiavellian leader his eldest brother had become, further still from the fiercely Dalish Keeper the middle brother had shaped up to be. He's a Crow. He's Rook.
And this is a contract.
Rook's thoughts are a fleeting, shifting thing, chasing shiny contracts with clever claws and the ability to charm and annoy in the same breath. He'd been chosen for a reason, that was to be sure, and that reason had nothing to do with the blood ties he'd kept oh so carefully hidden. It was because Ilnarel's plans don't exist beyond liquid thoughts in his brain until reality forces a split second solidification. The man's decisions are made in the moment without forethought or care for the aftermath, his eyes set upon the straight line between him and escaping alive. No matter the cost.
You can't undermine or sabotage what doesn't exist.
"So..." Rook rocks back onto his heels, considering the weighty topics before them and the bleakness of the void they inhabit. Were he a more curious man he'd ask if the Evanuris had been mad *before* they'd been thrust into the waking hell of the Fade, or if their current state was an unfortunate byproduct of overexposure. Were he kinder he'd ask how Solas was weathering it, because the last time he'd been stuffed in solitary he'd been talking to rats like they talked back.
"What is it you do for fun when I'm not crashing your party? Can't say the Lighthouse gave much insight into how an Elven God enjoys pissing away his free time so I can't even begin to guess."
A pause as he considers this, the question he'd intended to ask momentarily set aside as he studies Solas' face.
"Do you like games?" A pause. "Legends said you liked games at any rate. I think. And I dunno about the Fade, but I sure as shit know real prisons don't let you just have games. So I was thinking if my clothes come through then something fun might... Unless I've been stark naked the whole time and you've been exceptionally polite about it. Whatcha think?"
His hands come to rest on his hips, drumming nervously before he spits out the real reason he'd come. Nonchalantly, like it didn't bother him to have the weight of the world on his shoulders. Or maybe annoyed, because he's shaped to follow orders not call the shots.
"And before you answer, you should know that Treviso's a mess. If you've got any tips for unblighting the damn thing I'd appreciate it. So, some cards? Solitaire seems like it was made for solitary confinement. Entertainment for info seems a fair trade, don't you think?"
âI have never been accused of being polite,â said Solas, settling on that through-line of Rookâs questioning. âBut this is an interesting stratagem. You come to me with your desperate asks and mask them in petty humor. You rattle the bars of a cage you can scarcely see, and expect that I will humble myself and give you aid. Tell me, Rook, why should I do more than answer your asinine questions on the evanuris?"
He saw the resemblance. He knew Rookâs history. He knew of the contract. He did not care.
âYou do not know your legends well, then,â he said. âI prefer a different sort of game.â Solas tapped his chin as if considering, never once taking his eyes off the boy on the other side of the chasm. The caged wolf watching his jailor, waiting for the opportunity to strike. âSomething the Dalish children play, that may be more suited to one such as you. Do you remember your elvhen, little Crow? âParâalen lenâeraâharelâ is the game.â A pair of truths and a lie. âIf you guess the lie correctly, I answer one of your questions. If I guess the lie, you answer one of mine.â
He mirrored Ilnarelâs humorless smile then. It did not reach his eyes, and it was the same liarâs grin. âIs that sufficient entertainment for information?â he echoed Ilnarelâs words. âOr would you prefer to bluster about until you wear yourself out like a child? As you said, I have nothing but time. Do as you will.â
#nobodyanticipatesthe#not me butchering elvhen to make âtwo truths and a lieâ sound cooler#solas' ârookâ will always be in italics bc it's dripping with malice#low approval lol

I know you don't know me, I know I'm a drop in the bucket on here, but I need to share something, anywhere, if it means even one other person can read it. Preface, I live in the heart of Ăsterlen, Sweden. Farmland. I hold no envy to my neighbor, the castle on the other side of a lake that's 150 steps from my driveway, as my own home is where I hang my own crown. Otherwise, it's kilometers to the nearest buzz of the local populace. Only fields, forests, creeks, and the lake share my borders.
I awoke to a screaming wail outside this evening. Howling. I go outside. I see two young kits near the chicken coop, yapping and yipping at each other. Twoon (cat) and Kiku (pup) follow me out. The foxes spot us, and hop off towards the creek bed. Aside from a damp stillness in the air, and the occasional thump of an apple dropping to the ground, a new howling begins behind us at the front of the house.
I flick my flashlight and look upwards towards my balcony from my driveway. In silently swoops the most massive owl I've ever seen, just observing the three of us. Kiku hops up on her back legs trying to get a better look, but does not bark-- not wanting to scare away this guardian of the night, perched precisely where Kiku herself takes sentry-duty during the daylight. It watches us for minutes. We watch back. Twoon's tail is puffed, yet she meanders with confidence in accompaniment to me and Kiku, in the moonlit eyes of this bird of prey. It bids us goodnight and flies silently into the cosmos.
Every 30 seconds, in the clear, inky-black space behind him, a shooting star rips by. Lighting up the sky like fireworks. You can almost muster the sound it'd make in your mind-- without the vacuum and distance preventing it. A muttering monologue of the time before and to come. Satellites, all scuttling in the background-- rush hour in the cosmos. Frothy milky clusters of stars. Thick enough to be clouds heavy with the rain the dry night air's lungs call for. A condensed vapor of millions of stars, with a symposium of bright flash, fizzle, and pops-- a carbonated galaxy.
Crickets. Grain fields. Sweet grass. A calf being soothed by its herd on a hill in the distance. A low, humming glow of fireflies hidden, like gems in the thicket of growth surrounding. The smell of the harvest due any day. The beaded dew on flora-- libations to an army of lazy toads and slugs. Relaxed Tonbo and Hima inside, so undisturbed and at peace with their beds that they feel no need to sit up, let alone join us 3 outside in our investigations.
I've known no such place that feels so ethereal yet so warm. So timeless yet so alive. My home is a wrinkle in time. Unified peace lies within this fence line-- like a sacred seal, unbroken. There is magic here, under the moon's beams. She called me to this place, and I heeded. Why I have ended up here, I have yet to learn. Or maybe each moment like tonight is the answer. The Fates made my life's string take me to this place and it's been wrapped tightly around these walls, this land, this feeling. Tonight, the magician's sleeve exposed a tiny hint of a hidden card that is the magic here, and I noticed. I'm a part of a cosmic play, and the house lights have just dimmed.
I hope, Stranger, you can experience this place with me one day.
My familiars in question, Kiku and Twoonie.
And here are Tonbo and Hima, the sleepers.
Sleep well, everyone. There's beauty above us. đ

The Journey Begins: A Fool in Many Forms
This archetype kicks off the entire Major Arcana. Itâs the leap before the path is paved. The breath before the plunge. The moment you pack snacks but forget your map and still think, âIâve got this.â Do you? Maybe. Will you fall on your face? Also maybe. But thatâs the whole point.
And because Iâm an overachiever (or possibly just a collector with zero chill), I pulled all the Fools from my decks. Each one brings a different flavor to this brave-but-clueless adventure weâre all on.
Crystal Visions Tarot:
Swathed in purples and pinks, our whimsical wanderer flows like a dream. Her dress swirls, butterflies rise from her being, and one leg is tangled in fabric because even spiritual transformation involves tripping on your own wardrobe. Sheâs ready to fallâbut gracefully.
Modern Witch Tarot:
Now this oneâs got style. Mini dress, gladiator sandals, headphones on, and not a care in the world. Sheâs The Fool but make it fashion. Sheâs about to walk off that cliff while vibing to BeyoncĂŠ, fully trusting the universe (and the dog) to catch her.
Love is Love Tarot:
This Fool looks like theyâve actually trained for this journey. Hiking boots, dog on a leash, practical backpackâflower proudly displaying a rainbow center, of course. The skies are wild tie-dye chaos, which is exactly how new beginnings feel: beautiful, unpredictable, and a little overwhelming. But thereâs courage in that stillness before the step.
Gaian Tarot â The Seeker:
This one swapped the word âFoolâ for âSeeker,â and honestly, I love that. Sheâs turned away from us, gazing at a winding river and snow-capped mountains. Sheâs not stepping off a cliffâsheâs scouting the trail. A fox watches beside her, like, âYou sure about this?â And sheâs like, âNope, but letâs go anyway.â
Phantasma Tarot:
This is the Fool from your dreams⌠or your acid trip. A bird-beaked figure with spiral thoughts and candles tied to a crescent moon steps into the unknown, and a cat balances there tooânaturally. Itâs equal parts nonsense and genius, which is probably the most accurate Fool energy of them all.
Trees Tarot:
This Fool is a tree. Or⌠becoming one? A tiny sapling dares the edge of a cliff under a swirly sun. Thereâs no human here, but that makes it more universal. New growth. Big cliff. Tiny roots. Total trust.
The Enchanted Tarot:
Patchwork perfection. Itâs like someone quilted a Fool card after a very emotional Etsy binge. The figure dances across mountains with a jester hat and floral borders, dog leaping with joy. Itâs chaotic wholesomeâjust the way I like my adventures.
Each version of The Fool reflects a different truth:
â Sometimes we leap with wide eyes and windblown hair.
â Sometimes we plan, then leap anyway.
â Sometimes we dress up, blast music, and pretend we arenât scared.
â Sometimes we bring snacks, a dog, and a backup plan.
â And sometimes⌠we donât even know what weâre leaping into. We just go.
And hereâs the real kicker: weâre never not the Fool. Every new day, every leap of faith, every awkward attempt to be your truest self while the universe throws curveballs wrapped in butterfly wings and cosmic glitter? Thatâs Fool energy.
So if youâre standing at the edge of something new right nowâwhether itâs a literal journey, a personal transformation, or just the terrifying act of being vulnerableâknow this:
Youâre not unprepared.
Youâre not alone.
Youâre just exactly where youâre meant to be.
Take the step. Trust your instincts. Bring your dog.
And maybe, just maybe, bring a snack.
Journal Prompt:
Where in your life are you being invited to take a leap of faith? What might you gain by saying yes, even if you donât know how itâs going to work out?
Affirmation:
I honor the courage it takes to begin again. I trust the path I cannot yet see.

Why hasnât she posted anything about âThe TBâ ? Because she canât đđ- not part of her contractual agreement to traumatise him and everyone else with that jigsaw cheekbones⌠///
Please, Marvel and Disney would chew her alive and throw her into the wild if she ever did that. It's become so boring and so obvious. To the Shippers, one genuine question. What does AW hold against you that you're so high up in the clouds to believe something that's so freaking obvious?
She literally posts things while ignoring the others. Why didn't she support his other projects? Why didn't she post him and actually him instead of those baits? Why haven't we seen genuine moments? And whyyy is she only posting about TA and ADM? But TB? Nope, not even a single post or a story or whatever.
Side note, I love the jigsaw cheekbones and I can't stop from laughing because it's true and now I can't unsee it.
Imagine disrespecting the divine, then blowing stacks to remodel your face- only to come out looking like you snuck past the angels at border control. You paid to look like a cosmic clerical mistake, babe.
Like girl, was the goal âundercover demonâ or âbudget Sims characterâ?
Face card declined. Soul in overdraft.

The Mystical Art of Psychic Readings in Dallas: Unveiling the Secrets Beyond the Veil
psychic readings by dallas

Dallas, a city known for its vibrant culture, towering skyscrapers, and rich history, harbors a lesser-known but equally fascinating aspect: its thriving community of psychics and spiritual mediums. Psychic readings, a practice that dates back centuries, offer insight and guidance to those seeking answers beyond the physical realm. In Dallas, this mystical art has found a unique expression, blending traditional practices with the modern urban landscape. This article delves into the world of psychic readings in Dallas, exploring its history, methodologies, and the experiences of both practitioners and clients.
The Historical Roots of Psychic Readings
Psychic readings have ancient origins, with roots in various cultures and civilizations. From the Oracle of Delphi in ancient Greece to the shamans of Native American tribes, the practice of seeking guidance from the spiritual world has been a universal human pursuit. In Dallas, the tradition of psychic readings is a tapestry woven from diverse cultural influences, including Mexican curanderos, African American spiritualists, and European clairvoyants who brought their practices to the region.
Types of Psychic Readings
Psychic readings in Dallas encompass a wide range of practices, each offering a unique approach to understanding the unknown. Here are some of the most popular types:
Tarot Card Readings: Tarot is perhaps the most recognized form of psychic reading. Using a deck of 78 cards, a tarot reader interprets the symbolic imagery to provide insights into a person's past, present, and future. Each card carries specific meanings and, when combined in a spread, reveals a narrative that addresses the seeker's questions and concerns.
Astrology Readings: Astrologers analyze the positions of celestial bodies at the time of a person's birth to create a natal chart, which serves as a cosmic map of their life. By examining the interplay of planets, signs, and houses, astrologers offer guidance on personality traits, life events, and potential future developments.
Mediumship: Mediums serve as intermediaries between the living and the spirits of the deceased. They facilitate communication with loved ones who have passed on, providing comfort, closure, and sometimes unexpected messages from the other side.
Palmistry: Also known as chiromancy, palmistry involves reading the lines, shapes, and mounts of the hands to reveal aspects of a person's character and destiny. Each hand is believed to reflect different aspects of life, with the dominant hand showing current life circumstances and the non-dominant hand representing innate qualities.
Aura Readings: An aura is an energy field that surrounds a person and is believed to contain information about their emotional, physical, and spiritual state. Aura readers perceive these energy fields and interpret their colors and patterns to provide insights into a person's well-being and life path.
The Unique Flavor of Psychic Readings in Dallas
Dallas psychics bring a distinctive flavor to their readings, influenced by the city's dynamic and diverse culture. Many practitioners integrate local traditions and contemporary methods, creating a rich and varied spiritual landscape. Here are some elements that make psychic readings in Dallas stand out:
Cultural Fusion: Dallas is a melting pot of cultures, and this diversity is reflected in the city's psychic community. Mexican curanderismo, African American hoodoo, and European esoteric traditions converge, offering clients a broad spectrum of spiritual services.
Modern Technology: Embracing the digital age, many Dallas psychics offer virtual readings via phone, video calls, and online chat. This accessibility allows clients to receive guidance from the comfort of their homes, expanding the reach of psychic services beyond the city's borders.
Community and Events: Dallas hosts numerous metaphysical fairs, psychic expos, and spiritual retreats, where practitioners and enthusiasts gather to share their knowledge and skills. These events provide opportunities for people to explore different types of readings, attend workshops, and connect with like-minded individuals.
The Practitioners: Profiles of Dallas Psychics
To understand the essence of psychic readings in Dallas, it's essential to meet some of the practitioners who bring this mystical art to life. Here are profiles of a few notable psychics in the city:
Madame Zarina: A renowned tarot reader with over 20 years of experience, Madame Zarina combines traditional tarot techniques with intuitive insights to provide profound guidance. Her warm and empathetic approach has earned her a loyal following, and she is a regular presence at local metaphysical fairs.
Carlos the Curandero: Specializing in Mexican folk healing, Carlos offers a unique blend of spiritual cleansings, energy work, and intuitive readings. His practice draws from ancient Mesoamerican traditions, providing clients with a deeply rooted and holistic spiritual experience.
The Astrological Alchemist: A modern astrologer known for her detailed and accurate natal charts, The Astrological Alchemist uses astrology to help clients navigate life's challenges and opportunities. Her innovative approach includes incorporating contemporary psychological insights into traditional astrological interpretations.
Spirit Whisperer Sarah: As a medium, Sarah has a gift for connecting with spirits and delivering messages from the other side. Her compassionate and gentle demeanor helps clients find solace and healing through their readings.
Aura Artist Amara: Amara specializes in aura readings and aura photography, offering clients a visual representation of their energy fields. Her sessions often include energy healing techniques to balance and harmonize the aura, promoting overall well-being.
Client Experiences: Stories from Seekers
The true impact of psychic readings is best understood through the experiences of those who seek them. Here are some stories from Dallas residents who have found guidance and transformation through psychic readings:
Jenna's Journey: After a difficult breakup, Jenna turned to tarot readings to gain clarity and direction. Madame Zarina's readings helped her understand the deeper lessons of her relationship and empowered her to embrace new beginnings. Today, Jenna credits her tarot sessions with helping her rediscover her sense of self and purpose.
David's Discovery: Struggling with career uncertainty, David sought an astrology reading from The Astrological Alchemist. The insights from his natal chart revealed his natural talents and potential career paths. With newfound confidence, David pursued a career change that aligned with his astrological strengths, leading to greater fulfillment and success.
Maria's Healing: Maria, grieving the loss of her grandmother, found solace in a mediumship session with Spirit Whisperer Sarah. The messages from her grandmother provided comfort and reassurance, allowing Maria to process her grief and find peace. The experience also deepened her belief in the continuity of the soul.
Ethan's Enlightenment: Curious about his spiritual path, Ethan visited Carlos the Curandero for a spiritual cleansing and intuitive reading. The session not only cleared his energy but also revealed insights about his past lives and spiritual purpose. Inspired by the experience, Ethan began exploring meditation and energy healing practices.
The Ethical Considerations of Psychic Readings
While psychic readings offer many benefits, it's essential to approach them with discernment and ethical awareness. Here are some considerations for both practitioners and clients:
Ethical Responsibility: Psychics have a responsibility to conduct their readings with integrity, honesty, and compassion. They should avoid making false promises, offering medical or legal advice, or exploiting clients' vulnerabilities.
Client Empowerment: A good psychic reading should empower the client, providing them with insights and guidance rather than fostering dependency. Clients should feel encouraged to make their own decisions and trust their intuition.
Skepticism and Open-Mindedness: Clients should approach psychic readings with an open mind but also a healthy dose of skepticism. Not every reading will resonate, and it's important to discern what feels true and meaningful.
Confidentiality and Respect: Psychics must respect their clients' privacy and confidentiality. Clients should feel safe and respected during their sessions, knowing that their personal information and experiences will remain private.
Conclusion
Psychic readings in Dallas are more than just a mystical curiosity; they are a rich and diverse practice that offers guidance, healing, and insight to those seeking answers beyond the physical realm. Whether through tarot cards, astrology, mediumship, or aura readings, the psychics of Dallas bring their unique gifts to the community, helping individuals navigate the complexities of life with clarity and confidence. As the city continues to grow and evolve, so too does its spiritual landscape, blending ancient traditions with modern innovations to create a truly unique and dynamic environment for psychic exploration.

So! I decided I wanted to info dump about my bby, and Iâm gonna do it here. Consider this a living document, cause ill be editing new questions and answers as they come in <3 if you have any more questions just comment them (or ask on anon if you want, Iâll answer both here and there)

Question from: @bobittybob20276
while Aito tries to train like the rest of her classmates (though sparring) his quirk really isnât a fighting quirk, so yeah, most of her training happens out in the wild. He mostly trains on his classmates and teachers, but will occasionally go out of the school and try to charm random people she bumps into ;) . she continues his training after graduation, and keeps getting better and better the longer sheâs in the field.

Question by: @zedthebuggy
kinda a tough question here, lemme try to explain how Aitoâs quirk works; so pretty much itâs not really Aitoâs gaze that makes it work, like his pupil doesnât have to be trained on someone. His quirk works through her iris (the yellow bit). it looks normal most of the time, but when being used, it becomes wildly complicated, confusing the eye of her target and scrambling their brain a bit. pretty much, the brain normally simplifies everything so our eyes can kinda take shortcuts and let us quickly take in as much info as possible, but Aitoâs irises are so overly complicated that the targetâs brain is forced to focus excessively on them to keep up, making them very suggestible. thatâs why Aito has to speak his commands, so that the targetâs brain confuses Aitoâs voice for itâs own command (and also why the target wonât do anything too complicated or out of character. if the brain thinks too hard about what itâs doing, it could fall out of Aitoâs control) his quirk would be better described as a sensory overload, but without the panic or any negative feelings. It actually feels rather nice to be charmed, like being a hot room with a cool fan blowing in your face, or drinking a warm drink in the snow. Very positive, yet opposity feelings at once if that makes sense
(side note, when Aito gets older, she can control when his quirk is âturned onâ but while sheâs in UA, it just constantly on all of the time, hence his choice in hairstyle)
so! To answer your question, if someone doesnât know about Aitoâs quirk, they have 0 clue that theyâre being charmed, and will have 0 memory of whatever they do when charmed. If someone does know about her quirk though, their brain will recognize the feeling and will be able to combat it (she can still be pretty effective, but he still has to work harder for it) if someone knows about the quirk, their vision will get a bit darkend around the corners and may see quick flashes of darkness as their brain kicks off to focus on Aitoâs irises. it takes a lot of willpower to fight Aitoâs charms- or, just a very very simplified vision, like Aitoâs mama has (if someone asks, Iâll talk later about Guadelupeâs vision, itâs actually pretty interesting) (side note again, if someone tires to fight her charm, it could leave them with a gentle headache <3)
and FINALLY Aitoâs quirk doesnât require her to physically see, as long as her target can see her, it works :)

Question by: @gatortopia
Aito decided to become a hero because⌠heâs perfect! And he wants everyone to know how perfect she is!! And everyone thinks heros are perfect!!! And soon EVERYONE will see how PERFECT he is!!!!!!!
(side notie <3)
when Aitoâs father left them, he was cemented in Aitoâs brain as someone who couldnât see how perfect he was. Aito just wants to be seen by her father, but because he doesnât know who he is, he assumed that the only way to get the manâs attention was to prove how perfect she can really be, and the only way she could figure out how to do that is by becoming a hero.
after he gets her license, he immediately starts heroing like others do, with big fights and capturing villains and saving people⌠but⌠that really didnât work for her. No matter how strong or fast or clever she was, he couldnât match up to his peers in the heroing world.her quirk just wasnât made for that kinda work. He took some time off to figure himself out, and after a bit of time (and a lot of conversations with Michi, both professional and personal) he finally figured out that his best place to work was behind the scenes, collecting information and going undercover in villain hangouts and social events. he wears her support hero badge with pride. (and uhhh still sometimes helps with big fights and capturing villains and saving people. Hey! She spent good money on his hero suit! Heâs gonna use it!!)

Question by: @ratty-memes
ooohhhh ok! This is the question I really wanna answer!!!
so! to clarify, Aito absolutely thinks heâs all that and a bag of chips, like even in the deep parts of her brain, she thinks heâs The Blueprint. I would almost describe her as narcissistic bordering on psychopathic. THE ONLY REASON I WOULDNâT DESCRIBE HER AS THIS THOUGH- is because of her reasoning
so- Aito was raised by his mama exclusively, and he thinks his mama hung the moon and painted the stars. Like she is a capital M capital B Mamaâs Boy. He absolutely adores his mama and thinks sheâs absolutely without flaw or defect. (She didnât instill this in him, Guadelupeâs just a very nice lady and Aito was really messed up after his father left, so she clung to any semblance of a good parent she could find. (Even though heâs technically out of this stage already, and itâs much less pronounced, something similar happened when he met Sato. Guadelupe never dated after Aitoâs father âbecause my mijo is the only person Iâll ever needâ and because of that, Sato is the first positive male role model in his life. Most of his acting out actually is a product of wanting to keep Satoâs attention on him, and to subconsciously keep him from leaving like his father did))
Aitoâs brain pretty much went âok, my mama is Absolutely And Positively Perfect⌠and she really really loves me⌠she wouldnât love a kid with flaws⌠so I must also be perfect!!â And thatâs why she thinks sheâs all that! She thinks his perfection is as obvious as the sky being blue, and his want for validation just his way of checking out the window and seeing the color or they sky. they sky is blue, and everyone knows that, and Aito is perfect, and everyone should know that!!

Question by: @cosmic-goof
you only get repercussions if youâre caught ;)
but also sheâs promised multiple people that she wonât steal from strangers. In the classroom setting, people know that when your wallet or your ID card or your phone go missing, you should talk to Aito before you do anything else, strangers donât know that, so whatever she takes is for keeps. He really doesnât like keeping things from people as much as he just likes the act of pick pocketing, so if someone asks for their item back, Aito will immediately return it and will probably explain how and when he took it if they let him. only problem is, you obviously canât do this with strangers, so instead she does other things, like asks them for a harmless favor that someone would never do for a stranger (âhey there, can you help me move tomorrow?â âHi! Do you mind if I take your picture?â âHello sir! can I look through your phone for a sec?â)

Question by: @cosmic-goof
at the moment, itâs usually an adult who knows about her quirk and tries very hard not to be charmed (think sato). she can still charm adults obviously, but itâs a bit harder to do bc sheâs just a little baby. maybe when she trains more sheâll get stronger, but at the moment, thatâs her limit (sorry if this is a weird answer, willpower doesnât exactly come in like a points system irl, so I canât be like â7 willpower!â yk?)

Question by: @glitchviper
I talked about this before with Rinâs blind eye (something Iâll probably add here) but being blind in one eye wouldnât stop Aitoâs quirk (as long as you look at her with your non-blind eye, you can still be charmed, hence why when looking at Aito with only her blind eye, Rin wasnât charmed)
the only was to not be charmed by Aito is to just not see her eyes, so total blindness or some kind of visual abnormality (like her mama has. somebody PLEASE ask me about Lupâs eyes. I have diagrams) but! if a person is seeing, but canât hear Aito (be it because of deafness, or some issues in the environment like loud noises or earmuffs) a person can be charmed, but cannot be commanded <3
((p.s. Iâll be talking a lot about blindness or other disabilities while discussing Aitoâs quirk, but if I say or display any ableist language or sympathies, please know itâs out of ignorance and not malice, and correct me when you can.))
#Ohhhh please keep asking questions <333 I adore character building for this nasty little leech <3#Sweet little baby who deserved to be beaten up sooo badly#<3333#questions about Aito <3#aito takao#bnha oc comeback#Long post

The High School Dance Fic That Nobody Asked For - Chapter 5
Finally a new chapter! Some more fluff ensues, Dave takes Klaus somewhere special, and though thereâs a spot of angst here, everything will work out fine in the end, I promise.
Leave suggestions for where you want to see this go--I wrote this as a one-shot that grew out of hand so I donât have much of a roadmap for where to take this. All suggestions welcome! Come chat Klave with me.
Chapter One Chapter Two Chapter Three Chapter Four
Also available on AO3
Days like this werenât supposed to happen. It had to be a cosmic alignment so rare that the likes of it had maybe never even been seen before. It could be a slip into an alternate timeline or perhaps he was dying in a hospital and this was some sort of comatose fever dream. Only thing was, he wasnât this creativeâeven his wildest dreams couldnât conjure up an image as vivid as Klaus. His mind wasnât capable of creating laughter so bright or a smile so dazzling or a person so thrilling.
Dave drove them out of town and up into the dense forest that bordered the city. He knew exactly where he wanted to take Klaus, though it was a bit of a drive. Itâd give them time to talk, at least. He realized a bit belatedly that Klaus might think it was creepy that Dave was driving him up into the woods in the dark. He hadnât really thought of that at first, and now he felt kinda bad to be keeping this a surprise. He glanced at Klaus, whose expression seemed curious, but not terribly scared or concerned.
âIâm not being a creep, I swear. I just realized how this probably looks,â he commented sheepishly, shooting Klaus a reassuring smileâat least, he hoped itâd be reassuring.
Klaus looked at him with an expression that seemed inexplicably coy and teasing. Dave knew his own face was probably some mix of concern and confusion as he glanced back at him.
âDavey, you seem more nervous than I am about it. Should I be worried?â He asked, turning in his seat a little more to face Dave more fully.
âNo!â Dave said vehemently. âI can tell you where weâre going if you are worried. But I promise youâre safe.â
Klaus drummed his fingertips against his chin as he considered, âHmm. I trust you. For now.â
When Dave glanced over, Klaus was smiling, so Dave smiled too, reaching across the divide between them to smooth his hand over the back of Klausâs. His stomach fluttered when Klaus turned his hand over to match their fingertips together before interlacing their hands. It was perhaps a silly thing to get flustered over, holding hands, but it wasnât really the act itself, it was the fact that it was with Klaus. It made things seem real and hopeful in a way that maybe the rest of the night hadnât quite been. Everything with Klaus so far had been such a dream that it was hard to believe that it was real. It was even harder to believe that Klaus would still feel the same way in the morning. This little thing, the way Klaus held onto Daveâs hand so he didnât pull it away, it felt deeper than just a night of fun that theyâd pretend never happened the next day.
Dave pulled Klausâs hand up to kiss the back of it before returning them to rest on Klausâs thigh and when he glanced over, he swear he could see Klaus blushing as he looked down at their hands. There was a small smile on his face and when he glanced at Dave to see that heâd been looking, he smiled brighter and turned his head to look out the window. Dave just grinned and turned his attention back to the road.
âSo, this mystery location,â Klaus prompted, âWhat sort of activities does one do there?â
Dave smiled and considered for a moment. What could he say without giving it all away.
âWell...â he said, taking his time, âItâs got some pretty great stargazing, if youâre into that.â
It was true, but it wasnât why Dave was bringing Klaus there. If Klaus decided thatâs what he wanted to do though, Dave kept a blanket under the backseat and they could lay it out and just lay in the grass for the night. There was plenty of other stuff to do though tooâDave and his older brother Michael had assembled a sort of home away from home that they could go to. It was just a simple abandoned campsite hidden off of one of the overgrown hiking trails that nobody took anymore, but for them, itâd been their clubhouse, their safe haven. Theyâd put in a slack line and screwed a target into a tree, stashed some throwing knives and frisbees and a football. Theyâd fixed the picnic table thatâd been falling apart and found new rocks to ring in the fire pit with. Theyâd even hung some battery powered lights in the trees so when they went on overnight camping trips, they could play cards until the small hours of the morning.
"Oh, Dave, how romantic," Klaus gushed, though his voice was exaggerated and the smile on his features was both teasing and genuinely happy, so Dave could take the ribbing.
Dave just winked at him and kept driving. It was only a few more minutes until Dave pulled off on the little dirt road, one that people would miss if they weren't looking for it. They went another half-mile or so up into the hills before he pulled the truck off into a little alcove between two trees and turned the car off, glancing at Klaus.
"Wait here just a second, okay?" he said, reaching into the backseat to grab the blanket he kept there and hopped out of the car.
He made his way down the short, familiar path, hand feeling along the bark of a distinct tree until his hand closed around the battery pack for the lights. He flipped the switch and bathed the campsite in a warm, yellowish glow from the twinkly lights strung from tree to tree overhead. he smiled at how nice it looked, hoping Klaus thought it was as nice as he did. He set the blanket down on the picnic table, glancing around the little site to make sure everything was where it should be and like usual, it was.
When he was sure that things were right, the forest was appropriately quiet, and the slack line was at the right tension, he returned to the truck, opening the passenger door for Klaus.
"Holy shit, Dave. This is like..." Klaus said, turning his body to begin to climb out of the car, but his eyes were still glued to the campsite through the windshield. It made Dave's stomach perform a little show of acrobatics as he took Klaus's waist between his hands to help him down. When Klaus's feet landed on the ground, he finally tore his gaze away and when he looked at Dave, his expression was intense. He was looking at Dave with a mixture of awe and confusion on his face. There was something vulnerable about Klaus's gaze, a certain rawness that Dave could describe.
"Is...this okay?" he asked quietly, eyebrows knitting together in concern.
Klaus's expression shifted when he saw the look on Dave's face, "Oh, God yes. Dave, are you kidding? This is..." His voice trailed off again, turning his head to look at the little campsite and this time, Dave turned his head too.
This time, he looked at the spot with fresh eyes, like looking at it through Klaus's gaze and he thought he might understand why Klaus was a little speechless. In the dark, the twinkly lights strung through the trees looked hazy and magical and the space was surrounded by dark forest that was more comforting than frightening in some odd way. It was cozy and though Dave couldn't put his finger on exactly what it was about their little campsite, you could just feel that it was well loved. Maybe it was just him connecting so many good memories to this place, but he figured that Klaus must feel it too, judging by his speechlessness.
He realized then that it might be too much. It was romantic, really romantic looking. It was the kind of place where he could see himself one day proposing to the person he'd fall in love with. Considering Klaus had only just started to hover in some liminal space between friends and more tonight, it seemed like too much. His heart beat faster and he felt dread tightening his stomach. His face heated on its own accord and he swallowed hard, drawing his gaze back to Klaus, taking a minute to absorb the look on Klaus's face, at least, as much of it as he could see when Klaus's face was in profile.
"We can go, this is a lot. I know, I see that now, this was...Sorry. This was stupid," He stammered, letting go of Klaus's waist, averting his eyes.
Klaus didn't let him get far though. One second, Dave was stepping back to give Klaus a little bit of space and the next his arms were full of Klaus. He stumbled back a step or two when Klaus jumped at him, but his brain caught up quickly and he wrapped his arms around Klaus's waist, tentative at first, but then he squeezed him tighter, matching the death grip Klaus had around his neck.
"Klaus?" he asked softly, registering how hard the other was breathing.
"Dave, it's not too much, it's...I love it, I just...Nobody's everâ" Klaus tried to explain between breaths, voice quivering.
Dave rubbed his back gently, holding him securely while he waited for him to calm down a little. He didn't like that he'd made Klaus upset, but the knot in his stomach was loosening as he realized that maybe Klaus was overwhelmed in a good way instead of a bad way.
"I'm not making you uncomfortable?" he asked when Klaus seemed a bit calmer.
Dave had driven him up into the woods with nobody around for miles, to a spot that was already arranged romantically. It may have been creepy. It could easily be creepy. If Klaus was overwhelmed, he may not want to feel so isolated with Dave being his only way out of here. The thought that Klaus might be scared or worried made his stomach turn, but Klaus was hugging him tightly. His hands were fisted in Dave's shirt and so Dave relaxed a little.
Klaus shook his head, finally pulling himself back far enough that Dave could see his face. He looked at Dave squarely and brought a palm to his warm cheek.
"I'm not uncomfortable. I'm just...IâNobody has ever done something like this for me. I meanâI know it's not /for/ me, I mean. You must take all your dates here?" Klaus said, voice a little thick, but he said the last part like he was trying to tease, turn this into a joke or a flirtation.
Dave shook his head. "No. I didn't put it together for you, that's true. But you're the only person I've ever brought here, besides my brother. We made this spot together. It was ours. It's been just mine for awhile now," he said, alluding to his brother being gone but not wanting to address it so directly.
Klaus's eyes flickered with recognition and for that, Dave was grateful. He wouldn't have to explain it to himânot yet at least. He wasn't sure he would have been able to talk about his brother, not when his heart already felt so raw and open in front of Klaus, not standing in the glow of his brother's spot.
"I know it's a lot," Dave said, chuckling a little, trying to loosen up the tension a little, "I just thought it might be nice and there's some stuff to do. We've got a slack line and a hammock and a target for throwing knives and I was being honest about the stargazing thing."
Klaus nodded and pressed up to kiss Dave, who melted into the contact, arms winding tighter around Klaus's waist. He leaned into the kiss just as much, Klaus's body bowing back as he clung to Dave's shoulders. When they parted, Dave rested his forehead against Klaus's and straightened them back out, slowly loosening his arms around Klaus's waist to rest his palms on his hips.
"What do you want to do first?" Dave asked with a smile, whispering the words into the small space between their mouths.
Klaus smiled, "I've never tried the slack line before. Is it hard?" he asked.
Dave lifted his head to look at him and grinned. "Yeah, it is. But don't worry, I'll hold your hand," he teased, doing as he said and taking Klaus's hand in his, "Come on."
He led him through the campsite to the slack line that was strung between two strong trees. He toed off his shoes and let go of Klaus's hand.
"It's easier without your shoes on. I'll show you how and then you can try," he explained.
He took a breath and focused, stepping up carefully and slowly on one end of the line. When he felt like his feet were under him, he took his hand off the tree and walked across the line, knowing he made it look easier than it really was. He'd had a lot of practice. He smiled at Klaus when the got to the end, turning to come back the other way, wobbling the line back and forth beneath him intentionally. He stopped in the middle and let himself drop to one knee on the line before bouncing back up to his feet, then let himself fall backwards, absorbing the impact along his spine before bouncing back up to his feet again. After that, he hopped down and looked at Klaus.
"Maybe today we just see if we can get you walking on it though," he teased with a wink.
Klaus looked at him, obviously impressed. "God, you're beautiful /and/ kind /and/ athletic /and/ acrobat now too?" he questioned, shaking his head, "Show off," he added under his breath, though he gave Dave a smile to let him know it was a joke.
Dave took the jab and grinned, offering his hand to Klaus. Klaus took it cautiously and toed his shoes off too. He put one foot up on the line, leaning heavily on Dave's hand and his other arm that was planted against the tree. He psyched himself up for a moment before trying to step up. He managed to get his other foot up to the line but lost his balance entirely the second he was up. Dave caught him under his arms so he wouldn't stumble all the way down to his ass and laughed.
"See? I told you it was hard. Try to keep your stomach muscles really tight and stay over your feet. And bend your knees a little. You can do it," Dave encouraged.
Klaus huffed indignantly but returned to his spot by the tree. It took him a bit longer to psyche himself up this time, but he did eventually put a foot up on the line and lifted his other off the ground, more slowly this time. The line wobbled precariously under Klaus, but he managed to get it under control until he had both feet on it.
"Ha! I did it!" he exclaimed, grinning down at Dave, though he held himself stiffly so as not to lose the delicate balance he'd found.
Dave smiled back, still holding his hand firmly. "Good job! Now try to take a step," he instructed, "Get your balance centered over one foot, then move the other slowly, then shift your weight to be split between the two."
Klaus listened and nodded, sticking his tongue out of the side of his mouth in concentration. The line wobbled as he adjusted his weight to rest over his right foot, but again he held it. Gently, he moved his foot, taking a tiny step forward on the rope with his left.
"Woohoo!" Dave shouted, probably a little too exaggerated for Klaus small victory, but it made Klaus laugh.
On the next step, Klaus's foot slipped off the line and he stumbled off, feet landing in the grass. Dave made sure he was steady before helping him up again.
It continued like that, Dave giving Klaus gentle instruction, holding his hand the whole way, and Klaus stumbling on the line. It took six or seven tries and lots of laughter, but eventually, Klaus made it almost more than halfway down the line in one go, shifting from one foot to the other.
"The middle is hard because it's so much looser. And after that, you have to walk back up the line so your center of gravity changes," he explained as he steadied Klaus, kissing his cheek as he did, "But you're doing really great. You're a quick learner."
Klaus smiled and batted his eyelashes at him. "You go again. Show me more of your fancy tricks," he requested, clearly a little out of breath.
Dave did as he was asked, climbing up on the slack line. He bounced on it for a moment, considering what move to do. He started with a simple somersault along the line, followed by another few drops to his back and his knee, getting the feel for it.
"Okay, step back. I don't always land this one," he warned.
When he was sure Klaus was a safe distance away, he concentrated, bouncing a few times before he gave a hard bounce and threw himself backwards. He did a clean backflip, managing to hold his balance for a few moments before he had to swing his arms and ended up having to step off the line. He laughed.
"Almost. I'll get better at it," he shrugged, sitting on the line toward the center, sinking halfway to the ground.
Klaus gave him a round of applause, practically skipping over to drop down on the line next to Dave, making it dip further. Their weight in the center made it so they slid close, shoulders pressed impossibly close, but Dave obviously didn't mind, smiling.
"You're pretty good at this stuff," Klaus complimented, leaning his head on Dave's shoulder. "I'm impressed."
Dave smiled and twined their fingers together. "I've had a lot of practice. My brother and I used to come here all the time. It was our getaway."
Klaus was looking at Dave with intensity in his eyes that he couldn't interpret. He just looked back, caught helplessly in that gaze. He looked at Dave like he was trying to figure him out, like he was fighting some internal civil war, though he couldn't guess at what it might be about. Dave just looked back, feeling like his chest was flayed open, like all of his clockwork parts were on display for Klaus's eyes to take in and it was equally terrifying and electrifying. It was a feeling that wrapped around his heart, warm and staticky in equal measure.
"Why'd you bring me here, Dave?" Klaus eventually asked.
Normally, Dave would have answered right away, noting the little things to do, the privacy, how pretty the woods were, but after the long look from Klaus, he knew those weren't the answers that he was searching for. Dave took a breath and his gaze fell away, down to their entwined hands. He thought about his answer. Klaus and Dave had talked at school during class sometimes, they were casual friends when it was convenient that they were near each other. They didn't spend time together outside of school or plan to see each other at school outside of the classes they shared. Granted, Dave had the world's biggest crush on Klaus, but it didn't change the fact that before tonight, they'd barely even been what you could call friends. To bring Klaus to a place so near and dear to his heart was weird and Dave knew that.
He lifted a shoulder a little in a meek shrug, chest feeling tighter and heavier than it had before. It was a cop-out to deliver his words with his eyes cowardly on their hands instead of speaking to Klaus's face, but Dave worried that if he looked up, the words might dissipate and he wouldn't find the strength the say them again.
"Because I like you. I've liked you for a long time. And because I trust you. And because I don't want this to be a place that I come to alone anymore. I want to share this place with you." He finally said.
There was subtext that wandered beneath his words. This place had been shared once before, and Klaus was the first person Dave felt close enough to to want to share it again. Maybe that was sad, considering Klaus and him weren't close, save for some friendly conversation and flirtation, but it was the truth. His words had betrayed how much more than a casual night of dancing this was in Dave's eyes and the more Dave thought about it, the longer Klaus was quiet, the more he was convinced that perhaps he'd laid too much of himself bare, left too many pieces of himself unguarded and vulnerable on the table. He'd offered Klaus a piece of his heart that he shouldn't have the pressure of deciding whether to keep or not.
"Dave," Klaus spoke, voice more gentle than Dave had ever heard it before, barely above a whisper, "Dave, look at me."
Dave's heart was already hammering as his anxiety about what he'd said spiraled, but he obeyed regardless. He couldn't deny him anything he asked for, especially not when it came in such a soft tone. He brought his eyes back up to meet Klaus's, his heart full-on racing in an uneven sprint. What he saw there was an expression that was somehow both soft âthe face of someone who'd been touched by what they heardâand concerned. Dave wasn't sure what to make of it, so he waited with a held breath for Klaus to speak.
Klaus, for the first time seemingly, was at a loss for words. That only made Dave feel more panicky, more like he'd just stuck his stupid foot in quicksand and was sinking fast. It'd been stupid, bringing Klaus out here, telling him how much he meant to him...God, Klaus was probably freaked out. Dave could feel the rise of word vomit in his throat, just about ready to open his mouth and let whatever came out free, probably a few profuse apologies, maybe a joke to try to dispel the tension, a shaky declaration that it was okay if Klaus didn't like him like that, but luckily Klaus finally said something just in time to keep Dave from further embarrassing himself.
"I like you too," Klaus said.
His tone was simple, a statement that after so much thought seemed to come so easily for him. It didn't match his expression though. Klaus still looked concerned and when he spoke again, Dave was already anticipating the 'but', though anticipating it didn't stop his stomach from sinking all the same when it came.
"But...Dave, look, I..." Klaus stammered, dropping his own gaze now. He pulled his hand from Dave's, suddenly restless, and stood up from the slack line.
Dave's stomach dropped and his heart felt like a fist was wrapped around it, squeezing it tight with another wrapped around his throat. His skin prickled along his hairline as the shame of rejection flooded his system. He kept his eyes on Klaus politely, letting him finish what he was going to say, but internally, he was panicking, trying to shut off emotions, trying to repress the urge to shed tears, trying to will the color away from his cheeks.
Klaus paced back and forth the length of the slack line in front of Dave, wringing his hands together. Dave was helpless to do anything but volley his head back and forth to track his path and wait.
"Dave, I'm shit," Klaus finally said, to Dave's surprise.
It certainly hadn't been what he'd expected to hear.
"I smoke and I drink and I sleep around and I'll do just about any drug I can get my hands on and I've got a fucked up family and fucked up problems you can't even begin to understand. I'm failing most of my classes and I'm probably going to drop out next term and I might even run away from home, and justâDave, you don't want this. You can't want me, you deserve better. A lot better." Klaus said, the words leaving in a rush that sounded as panicked as Dave felt.
Dave's body moved without his asking it to, standing and striding the few paces between them quickly to cup the back of Klaus's head and pull him in. He cradled Klaus's head against his shoulder and wrapped his other arm tight around his waist, shaking his head.
"No, Klaus. None of that matters. That stuff doesn't make you who you are. I like you, no matter what it is you do or what family you come from or how well you do in school," he said, the words leaving him sounding much more adamant and stern than he thought he was capable of after the last minute of inner turmoil, "Breathe. Hey, I'm not asking you to marry me. Just share my little park with me when you need somewhere to get away for awhile. And maybe don't hate me if I kind of have a huge crush on you."
The last part came out a little lighter, like a joke, thought it was honest. Thankfully, it drew a huffed laugh from Klaus against his shoulder. Finally, Klaus's posture relaxed a little and he brought his arms up to wrap tightly around Dave's waist. He nuzzled in closer, pressing his face securely into the soft spot at the front of Dave's shoulder and Dave just gently stroked his fingers through his hair. It was a long minute or two before Klaus spoke.
"Yeah, okay. But only because I have a really huge crush on you too. This doesn't mean we're dating," Klaus clarified, lifting his head to level Dave with a serious look, "But it's not because I don't like you enough. I just...I just don't like me enough. I'd make a really terrible boyfriend."
Dave wanted to argue, say that he'd be over the moon to have Klaus as a boyfriend in any capacity at all, but he wasn't really in a position to ask Klaus to be his boyfriend anyway. He was closeted, so dating wasn't really on the table anyway, not in the way that Klaus deserved. He felt lighter for having gotten all of that off his chest, but he knew that it didn't exactly change anything between them, not in any serious way. Perhaps they'd flirt more now, maybe even arrange to hang out here and there, maybe Dave would keep finding places and reasons to kiss him, but for now, that was all they could really be.
"Okay," He nodded, "I'm still in the closet. I'm hardly datable either. So we both have our baggage. Friends then?"
Klaus wrinkled his nose at the idea of them being just friends, "As long as I can still kiss you when we're alone. Friends with benefits?" He countered.
Dave's face heated at the implication, at what 'benefits' usually entailed and swallowed thickly, breathing picking up, which Klaus apparently found amusing because he laughed.
"Oh, sweet Davey. Don't have an aneurysm. Just kissing benefits for now. Maybe we'll work our way up to some heavy petting or dry-humping one day," He teased with a wink.
Dave let out a breath, but still blushed at even the thought of just that much. Still, he nodded. Yes, yes, absolutely yes, he wanted that with Klaus and more. He was grateful that Klaus seemed willing to take things slow though. Dave wanted everything with him, of course he did, but he was easily overwhelmed and this was all pretty new to him. "Friends with benefits, then," he agreed, wrinkling his own nose at how that sounded.
It sounded so crass and casual, like it was only about the so-called benefits when really Dave may have been just a little bit head-over-heels in love with Klaus. But for now, it's what they could have. It was a stepping stone for them, both clearly carrying a lot on their shoulders, and if they needed a transition period before things got any more serious, Dave could absolutely live with that. He leaned in and gently nudged his nose against Klaus, drawing a smile from him before he tilted his head and closed the distance for a soft kiss, one that had Klaus melting against him with a sigh. When they parted, they rested their foreheads together.
"I should probably get you home soon," Dave said softly, brushing his thumb over Klaus's jawline.
Klaus pouted, which made Dave smile a little purely because it was cute and because it meant Klaus didn't want to leave him, but he nodded, brushing his fingertips through the hair at the back of Dave's neck.
"Yeah, okay. Thank you, Davey."
