DCAs Connections in Help Wanted 2 Update! (FNAF Theory)

Hello! :) I'm gonna be rambling about the DCA and its connection to the past (before the franchise took form) based on what was shown on the mural that we saw on the old factory.

Again, this is gonna be a ramble (it's gonna be going all over the place, so I may or may not sense (lol)) and most importantly, this is purely speculation (so please take this with a grain of salt!) ^^

Note: This is the first time I'm writing a theory, so bear with me (lol) & feel free to type your thoughts in the comments or rbs below (for civil (and fun!) discussions as we theorize together! :)

So, inside the mural (looking at the upper half) there was the blue rabbit (we can safely assume that it's some form of bonnie) and the golden bear (golden freddy or fredbear, at this point, we don't know which is it or if its something else entirely) but, just above the two, we can see a Sun and Moon motifs on either sides of them.

The Sun motif is positioned on the right, while the Moon motif is positioned on the left. Which makes me (and all of us) wonder, how are the two connected to this blue rabbit and the golden bear ?

To bring up what other theorist have said, many have speculated about a traveling circus back in the day, and from the looks of the bottom half of the mural in hw2's update, it clearly shows that many theorists were in the right direction.

As for Sun and Moon though, many of the dca fans already knew they these were theater boys (or old stage performers) from the way they're dress (seeing as they're jesters, so they've been used for the theater) so, we could likely see them performing with the rabbit and the bear, or separately (maybe on their own stage). Perhaps one (the bear, alongside Sun) would perform during the day, the other (the rabbit alongside Moon) at night (or it could flipflop throughout depending on show/audience). Again, either or, they're somehow connected to both the rabbit and bear within the mural.

However, if you think about them in a symbolic way, Sun and Moon could potentially represent Afton and Henry respectively. Since the two would be working together during that time (in sotm).

So, hear me out. Moon in a way could represent Afton. And what's he commonly associated with? Rabbits. And throughout sb, Moon is under the influence of Vanny, so I found it kinda funny that with this update, Moon is the one who's associated with rabbits (heck, he was in Bonnie Bowl as well, which made me wonder why he was seen there out of all places when you (the player) face him in hw2).

Also in hw2, in the claw machine ending, there are two slight altered endings the player gets. The first one being with Moon and his usual white eye, black pupil, and the second being, once the player obtains the bonnie mask, that Moon's pupils turn red.

Why? Does he now know the player (or the one who we play as)? How does he know the player? What connection does he have to the player, from the moment the player gets the mask?

So, I'm guessing Steel Wool may have trying to establish this connection for a while now (about Moon and rabbits now that we see the hw2 update) but may have been overlooked. Idk, who knows?

As for Sun, he could represent Henry, if Henry is the one commonly associated with bears (I think, correct me if I'm wrong, it's been a while since I've been in the fnaf fandom). So, with Henry and Afton working together, it kind of parallels to Sun and Moon in a way. Light and dark, good and bad.

I don't know if Eclipse will show up in sotm (hopefully they do) but I'll put it anyway. Eclipse in a symbolic sense could represent Edwin, tying the two (Afton and Henry) together to build up their business, just how Eclipse keeps Sun and Moon together in order to function as a unit.

Anyway tl;dr - Sun and Moon (& Eclipse by extension) are very much ingrained with fnaf's past, we just have to put the pieces together to figure it out (like most theorists been doing i guess lol).

That's it! Just wanted to ramble. Again, take this with a grain of salt! :)

So, I got some thoughts about Sun's rebooting. It wasn't like, he needed to do that for himself. He wanted that for Moon, to make him feel better. So, lot's of people are wondering what had happened to Sun? And even Moon? Are they going to be alright? (I hope so.) Some people think he's dead.

Before any of us jump into conclusions, Personally I don't think he is dead. I think Moon is okay. It is unclear, if the reset boot erased their memory, and if that is the thing that is concerning about. And if that caused them, or in fact, Sun to die down.

It has been teased in the song, that the Sun will go down the Moon will shine for ever, and ever. But, I don't want to fathom that so much, as I was not aware of.

Instead, I came up with my hypotheses. I think that the Moon shining for ever and ever line, in Ruin might have been for Eclipse. To keep Sun safe. So, I think that the rebooting in speculation, put's both Sun, and Moon in safe mode.

He did thank Cassie very tiredly, "Thank you..." as if, that's what he's been looking for while he slips away. And I think that's where many people are saying that's him drawing his last breath.

However, I think that's not really the case. In my opinion, in my belief, Sun is still there. But, I have 2 things, in correlation with Eclipse, in safe mode. It's likely that Moon is the one is restored, because he's calm. For Sun, get's not the one entirely rebooted, so it's likely that he's technically still in charge.

For Eclipse, I like to think of it, as a thumb drive, that's my second theory. The thumb drive has 2 of the folders, and his system is keeping them safe, for them to recover.

For Sun's data, he's temporarily resting. In my opinion, I call it as absence. So, not really dead. But, to refresh him, by removing all sorts of errors, and all that and giving him a recovery.

The animatronic, themself is not dead. Last theory is both of them combined, but has a new mindset.

My summery is, when Moon has been rebooted, and re awakened as Eclipse. He acts as a sort of thumb drive, or floppy disk. Saving and storing the AI's of Sun and Moon, and keeping them safe.

So, they can rest. However, I think that subconsciously Sun, is still active, because IF he can still talk, then he still has traces of activity left. His left eye is still on, so that means, that Sun is still occasionally active, just letting Eclipse take over.

-Besides, let's face it. If the developers truly had killed them off. Then a lot of people in the DCA fandom will be upset. PS: For anyone wondering, yes I came over here to vent about it. Just to feel slightly better with it. And reassuring..:')

DCA RUIN THEORY! SPOILERS!!

DCA theory -

First! - Sun and Moon are not what we saw in the first game, the virus not only affected Moon, but Sun too . since Sun acts odd, he picks you up and puts you in one place, always – every time..

why? No child is ever gonna stay still for too long, so.. is odd, also, his voice line, the “trouble” one and the “lights on” – clearly something is wrong.. he sounds worried but frustrated too..

he wants the player to focus on him, stay still,, not really what they should do, I think..but they are not aggressive, their jumpscare is not attacking, Moon hands are visible, unlike the rest.. who have their faces in you face - Moon is not that creepy if you look at it- or maybe is just me haha -

so maybe.. just maybe, Sun was the energetic one, jumps, run , play time! He was happy, carefree! filled with energy so kids get tired- Moon was soft, caring, but quiet and calm, since there is  collectible of moonie, I swear -I saw it, it showed Cassy opinión “ I never sleep better” (didnt find the screenshot that I wanted but this works too)

so they were harmless! only after the virus is that parents started to complain, but before? It was good.. thats to explains the strange behaviors - now another thing that got me curious..

- The light issue, I feel like the whole  “lights on – off” is just  an option  installed but not activated, like a flash in the phone! you can have it, or not!

maybe they run but time – they must have an internal clock! So first was Sun - or course, he makes the kiddos tired maybe then comes Eclipse? Or maybe he is just the safe mode, the mix of the two for when there is any child with  special needs of lonely, maybe just for  when there is no many kiddos, Eclipse shows up, maybe doesn't mention who he is, he just, shows up, and takes care of them all, being the perfect mix ¡ happy  but calm! -keep in mind , im not tech - so all I know is what I see and experienced - for me Eclipse can be

1- another AI or

2- a safety protocol who desactivates some of Sun and Moon more energetic behavious - kinda lika a - save battery option- maybe.. or the closer thing..

I don't think the reboot got rid of Moon -he seems.. annoyed, in pain, the light system doesn't work anymore due to the daycare being not dark and not bright , is a middle that causes errors,  seems like Moon has been in control for most time..Sun shows up from time to time - maybe to look for a way to get fixed.. to get help..

Moon acts odd still.. but may be just his AI being too broken,-or the pure pain of the gears not working as they should be! but is not bad! My baby is not bad! Is just in pain! There is a clear long sigh when they are rebooted, like Moon can finally rest! The reboot  got rid of the light option and now they run with the time zone option!! reason why Eclipse says "I need to clean up before we can open in the morning" so.. when Cassy gets to them , is already night but since maybe they havent charge in a long time or - their system detected the virus-or Moon ai being corrupted, then Eclipse took charge .. is also curious.. is eclipse not seeying the desaster? is this safe mode unable to make them raalize their tragic fate?.. maybe just they focus on the girl in from of them - then may have seen the real deal..

yeahm that's my idea so far..

Eclipse is always been in there, but maybe with the “run the AI by light system” he didn't showed up in the small time we got to be in the daycare.. – we only see Moon.. - that and - maybe since is was close time- there was no need for him to show up!

Then the reboot free him! Yey! And curious, he knows cassy.. Sun doesnt.. maybe is the pain? Maybe is the mask.. yes. The mask. When we fix them, there is no mask, just her face.. Eclipse took a look at her , and just calls her birtday.. is odd , he and Roxy mention this.. Roxy in a more casual manner but that can be due to her not being programmed to care for kidds , just entretaint them - she maybe - like a learning AI - have some people she likes more, she may know when someone is a casual or a usual visitor.. meanwhile Eclipse - maybe he remembers everyone.. also, curious thing.. the mask shows lines in their body , doesnt fill the missing part like it does to Roxy, like here - or even like the cameras does!

I know she is a node? thing? (Im not sure the words or what even is going on) so she is like, special for the story.. but then.. taking that aside, chica is seen different, just like endos and appaently Monty.. Roxy is filled, Freddy is not even there when using the mask.. the only one who Looks! the same but just Acts different is the DCA.. is odd - but cool detail..

also, there's a dialoge of Sun, saying "not me . the other me!"

so this means Sun see Moon as his other side? I know the book mentions they used to act in the teather as hero and villain, and sharing one body, they may just learn to see each other as "my other half " in a way.. one could read it is "is just one AI pretending to be two characters" but I rather think is two AI who know they must work as one, in harmony , in a choreography dance maybe is the system of light that keeps them separated - thats why Moon said the lights hurts, is a forced change they cant do cuz they are locked in some type of error .. one specia error we -or Cassy end up fixing with a reboot and again, only Eclipse knows who she is.. maybe the idiots running the daycare put on so many locks on poor Moonie and Sunny here that end up locking info data? humans can be messy! idk.. thats most of my ideas.. the idea that Sun and Moon see each other as one - breaks my idea I used to have of them- but is an concept I love!! love it!! not only is cute! as clearly is not a "we pretend to be two" but "we are two who like to be one" kinda like BloodMoon! but in wholesome way since in no way Sun seems afraid to Moon! if anything they seem to wish to be closer! also again, the collectable! Moon was good! I swear! he has to be good! welp, thanks for reading me!! <3

SOTM spoiler theory about how the Daycare Attendant ended up with their role in the Pizzaplex

Okay so y'all know those Star Orphan night lights we have to carry around throughout the game? These little guys:

They gave me an idea:

It's always felt kinda random to me how the Daycare Attendant got switched from the Fazbear Theater to the daycare in the Pizzaplex. Like, why the daycare? I guess they were already working in the daycare theater so it wasn't far off, but why not give them any other role? I think these little guys are the reason. What if these little night lights are what gave management the idea to 1) put the theater in a daycare in the first place and 2) give the Daycare Attendant a caregiver role when they were repurposed. Like, Moon already existed as Sleepy Moon back in 1979, and with the theming of these little guys and their role as a night light it's not unreasonable to assume that they were related to Moon in some way even back then. So when Fazco decided to redesign Sun and Moon for the Pizzaplex, they could've been chosen for a daycare section specifically because of their role in the past having been similar. It is called the Superstar Daycare, after all (yes yes, Freddy also calls us superstar and it's probably got to do with stardom more than literal stars but bear with me here).

Like, this makes their decision to make Sun and Moon the mascot of the Daycare make so much more sense! Moon was already tied to napping and being in charge of little Star children in the past, which you can easily translate to taking care of literal children. Also the fact that they're called orphans strikes me as noteworthy. Maybe Moon took them under his wing after they lost their parents/were abandoned? But why don't they have any parents? I don't think this is a reference to David, since he never becomes an orphan. His parents were the ones to lose him, not the other way around. Or maybe the Star Children are some fucked up metaphor for kids who died and since their parents are still alive now have nobody to care for them in the afterlife? Some people believe that dead people become stars in the sky... Okay maybe that's a tad of a reach actually.

Either way, I think the Star Ophan night lights were related to Moon back then, which inspired Fazco to later make their version of Sun and Moon take care of their own of "little stars".

Eclipse: and now in the restaurant, many of our late Boss's old customers only speak Cantonese, so we still make use of our programming. The only learning curve we had was familiarizing ourselves with all the regional dialects and slang.

(apologies if i got the signs wrong, i'm still an ASL newbie, but i hope to learn more in the future!)

Fun Fact: did you know that in Cantonese slang, white rice can be referred to as 靚仔, which literally translates to "handsome boy". and the slang for congee is 靚女, "pretty girl"

The Daycare Attendant might be in Secret Of The Mimic!! (Theory)

I remember Matpat saying that he thinks Edwin, the man who created the Mimic, is also responsible for the creation of the Daycare Attendant. I think he's right. He even mentioned the jester costumes that were shown in the books and spoke about how they matched up with the theme of the Daycare Attendant being a jester. Well, we've already seen a freaky jester cutout in the trailer of Secret Of The Mimic. He also mentioned the teeth of the Mimic being the same as the Daycare Attendant's endo teeth.

But I have even more evidence now that points toward Edwin making the Daycare Attendant. This might possibly mean he has a chance of showing up in SOTM!

First, I want to point out what I believe to be the BIGGEST indicator of the Daycare Attendant being made in Edwin's factory: The Faz-Wrench.

In the trailer of SOTM, we see an item called a "data diver" getting plugged into some sort of computer. This causes the screen to pull up HELPER, which seems to be the earliest version of Helpy. This "data diver" device has two prongs on it just like the Faz-Wrench.

In Ruin, this device mostly works on the MXES security nodes that keep the Mimic from escaping. I'm assuming it does something similar here. However, it also works on the Daycare Attendant. He is the ONLY animatronic that it would naturally work on (Roxanne is a Security node due to her mask, which was put on only between the events of Security Breach and Ruin).

Sun himself was aware that the Faz-Wrench worked on him and that it would reboot him. He has seen this wrench before. He remembers it. It's clearly important to him and was used to reboot him in the past, only to have probably been forgotten about and not used by Fazbear Employees for years till one brings one to the Pizzaplex to set up the nodes. If the Daycare Attendant was made in Edwin's factory, this early version was probably used on him and was something he recognized immediately.

Another thing I want to discuss is the fact that the Daycare Attendant himself has some neat unique mechanics that Fazbear probably thought were cool. Since the player is going to retrieve the Mimic due to his unique technology in SOTM, it wouldn't surprise me if they also wanted the technology the Daycare Attendant has. We can also note that they were never able to use the Mimic's technology and, while they did use Sun/Moon, they clearly didn't know how to properly use them and were unable to fix Moon when he started acting up. But I think they were probably fascinated by an animatronic that could switch personas based on the lighting it was in.

One last thing is we can see evidence of past versions of characters that we know Fazbear owns by this point such as HELPY and Music Man, along with cutouts of what appears to be an older version of the Mediocre Melodies and possibly Montgomery Gator. It looks like Fazbear may have claimed more than just the Mimic when they sent employees to the factory...and that included the beloved Daycare Attendant!

Now, will we see him in the game? I'm unsure. I think it's possible. If we do see him in the game, I really, really would like to see Eclipse again. This would be the perfect place to see him again!!

Since it looks like the Mimic isn't the only threat (judging by the Music Man thing), I'm guessing we might have to use the data diver to reboot some rowdy animatronics. This could possibly include our boy Moon having to be rebooted into Eclipse! We know that Steel Wool is very much aware of how much fans love him. I think they'd put him in the game again if they could!!

At the very least, I think it's safe to think they were both made by Edwin.

(Also, when I was writing this, I noticed the Mimic's/Jackie's laugh in the trailer sounds so much like Moon!!)

Help Wanted 2: Lets Talk About Sun (Spoilers for Help Wanted 2!)

Okay,

I've had some time to digest Help Wanted 2. What a freaking roller coaster. I'm assuming you all have played/watched/seen Help Wanted 2, so be advised if you haven't seen everything we have access to so far, I'll be bringing it up.

One thing I'll say upfront is its nice to know Sun and Moon ARE older like I theorized. They're tied to the Fall Festival which took place in 1970 per one of the prize collector posters and the fact they deal with the carousel. I think Steel Wool also tried to point out and confirm Moon is patient zero for....I guess I should say Vanny's influence in the PizzaPlex. He's definitely the favorite to be pitted against us. I'm STILL losing my mind over the Princess Quest Ending.

So, the DCA fandom has been all across the board, ranging from "I love sassy Sun" to "Sun is SO mean. This ruins my headcannon." I don't think it really does. At least, it doesn't have to.

Our first encounter with Sun in front of us is Arts and Crafts. This minigame is located in the world we eventually learn is AR. We also are clearly a new FazBear hire. Sun is definitely sassy, and let's face it, VERY critical of what he defines as a mistake. BUT the flip side of that coin is he is still nice when you do the art correctly. He calls you friend, he wants to help you. If the player eats the crafts, he loses his mind. It's because he's worrying for the player due to the effects eating the crafts will have on them, ie: "That is how you get ulcers!". (By far, MY FAVORITE line of Sun's btw. Kellen stated that line and the indigestion line were both improved btw- genius.) He still doesn't want Moon to get you, he doesn't want to get in trouble. The one threat is after you've been hitting him several times and you've outright pissed him off. (I personally, think the "I should turn off the lights myself" was a drama king being a drama king.) Then we take the mask off. We see everything destroyed and Sun acts like the Sun we've always known. "I'm perfectly fine where I am. It's better this way. It's safer this way." "Keep the generator on. Without it I won't be able to help you." He's the same as he's always been. We've just seen a new layer.

What we ultimately have to come to terms with, is that Sun is a control freak and a perfectionist. He thinks he "has" to be. He doesn't want you to move from your craft table so he can watch you like a hawk. Do the job you are assigned. Get in, get out. Do the art HIS way, and follow HIS rules. If you don't, bad things can happen. Bad things HAVE happened. Another explanation could also be that maybe he isn't as free of the glitch trap virus as we thought? He can be sassy, he can be brutally honest, he can be concerned for us, for children, and his own darkness can rear its head, all at the same time.

Steel Wool could also be trying to slam into our faces that Sun is incomplete. He is one-half of a whole. He has good intentions, he means well at his core, but he cannot stop, regroup, and act rather than react. He gets stressed, and can't cope and adjust. Instead, he demands control back when he feels like he's about to lose it. Moon is calm, calculating, and logical. It's why they need to be whole and why Sun is so grateful to Cassie when she fixes them to become Eclipse. As Eclipse, they both find the parts of themselves they've so desperately needed.

A crazy theory I have is that Eclipse was the first than came the virus or Faz bear said I really need something to help with security and separated both be coming the sun and moon DCA that we all love.

After moon's dream/hallucinations or whatever the hell people wanna call this, I noticed a purple smoke (or idk the word but you understand) behind him

And many more thumbnails. We know that in the canon game (security breach), the virus is almost always represented by this color and with those rectangles + the aura. Now I'm not talking about vanny or idk, idc about her cuz this isn't about the canon game rn

I have many thoughts about this, because things happened before that and it could be related.

As I saw on some blogs (I can't find the one who wrote it but I know I've reblogged it), before ruin betrayed them, he said he wanted to infect ruin's virus into his own code to think like him which could be true since he really tried for weeks to think exactly like him and to have his informations. During his day off after his first breakdown after he saw old moon, sun was present the entirety of the episode, which isn't logic at all since it's MOON's day off not an episode of sun bringing food for 15 minutes ? Moon was alone in the house after a breakdown AFTER he tried to think like ruin AFTERR he said he wanted to inject the virus into himself. And strangely after that he started to act all nuts, maybe not just at the second episode but you can tell he went insane quickly, too quickly and it's too suspicious for me.

Back to the thumbnail, you can see thumbnails after thumbnails while scrolling on the channel that his aura gets more purple any time he's showing.

Now if we do the comparaison between ruin and moon reacting to the virus :

The virus accentuated ruin's personality into insanity. As we know, ruin is a melange between sun and moon. So we can say he was playful (sun's side) but with a kill code (moon's side) which made him a dangerous individual. He also lost his objective during the take over. Because yes ruin wanted to venge his friends but in the beginning he had the virus and it distracted him from his objective.

Now if we look at moon. The virus could have accentuated his personality (which makes him worse than old moon) and his goals (protecting his family, bringing solar back etc..). He's also losing his objective which is bringing solar of course. He doesn't know why he's doing it anymore.

I also remember when moon told Monty that he looked in his code and he found nothing. Kinda suspicious to me- he tended to lie back then too. I think he did really check his code to see if the virus was the cause of that. And of course when you add his poor mental state to begin with as he was grieving it doesn't help at all and makes things worse.

Anyways maybe it's my own paranoia talking rn but I just can't accept that all this insanity arc happened by Davis snapping his fingers

SOTM DCA theory rant

Spoilers ahead!!

So we know we get apperences and references to the Daycare attendants origins, we find the original sun/moon tragedy masks going to the theatre, peepaw moon, the moon.exe, Sun as Fiona. but that begs the question…

Who made the DCA?

In security breach we see them less taken care of (very dirty compared to any animatronic in the game) they are anxiety ridden (sun), and originally theatre bots put in daycare. And with obvious exposed sensitive wiring, and in Ruin we see a Fazrench port on the back of their head that operates much like the Data Diver we see in Ruin.

I was previously assuming DCA fully existed during SOTM due to their older looking design  (that has a Data Diver port unlike any other animatronic and no Roxy doesn’t count because her mask is part of a casing with the same endo as everyone else) but that’s the thing, the DCA is one of a kind because there’s no other endo for them, if they break, they are gone for good because we know no one would take of them or otherwise no one is left to take care of them.

Now I think it was Fiona’s love creation. If Edwin’s project was the Mimic, Fiona’s was the Daycare Attendant. She made him out of love, not as someone to take care of David but to be his friend. We hear Sun say “new friend”, “friend” in the games. Even so, he was made to entertain and play games with little kids. 

We see Fiona’s hand at creation, she made the OG Chica and everyone loved her. I like to say maybe she tried her hand at Robotics to make something for David. The DCA mentions of Gregory wanted to do a puppet show, Fiona was a Puppetier. Her design is very childlike and friendly (Ik SB DCA is a little creepy but isn’t everything else in that warehouse) 

Maybe both Edwin and Fiona made the Storytime showroom for David, but closed down for either timing of deaths, or the damage that happened in there, but maybe it was a secret love project for David in their own way. They both loved to create. 

And we see that the Mimic was made to BE other characters when in other costumes. DCA is taught how to ACT not mimic while being themselves. 

How did Sun and Moon become separate ais? Just like in Moon.exe it’s two half’s becoming whole at the end, becoming Eclipse. One represents Edwin in their story and the other Fiona. 

I don’t think that specificity reflects them as a personality in DCA but we see characteristics of themselves put into this animatronic. 

I like to think Fiona created this as a surprise in the background for both David and Edwin. Maybe testing them at Fall Fest if we assume they were made and created at that time (help wanted 2 carousel) ALSO how do you not expect me to not assume DCA wasn’t created at that era if you put FALL FEST and DCA together where Fiona DIED at?

edit: I forgot to add a bit where the giant moon we seen fallen from the storytime showroom through the theatre and down to the moon maze to get David’s ball, it implies the giant moon was hanging. DCA has a little retractable hook to hang from the ceiling when he pleases (I don’t think we talk about that enough, no other animatronic has a unique ability like that to FLY) and not only that it’s an addition to their design. The hook part was always intended for them, it was fazbear that implemented it and used that aspect of them

I have a theory on DCA serial killer Au, I believe Sun and Moon played a role in YNs life somewhere in those 15 years ago, but YN does remember, and I have a bit of evidence, 1. we know that YNs father was murdered or died of other stuff, 2. When meeting Sun, Sun thought to himself thinking “They’ve grown up” and I have a photo!

Which Means The boys must’ve played a role in YNs life and might be the reason YN has that scar
