recently i’ve been super into acrylic keychains and i wanted to try and diy a brokenpickaxe keychain out of shrinky dink plastic and acrylic paint. i learned the hard way that the paint doesn’t work well and gets all crinkly 😭😭 i mean, i still think they’re pretty cute!!

today i made another simpler version (tv girl inspired 🩷🩵) with sharpies and it worked a lot better. all in all it’s been a fun experiment and project, and this one is adorable!!

💥I know I usually only post Whump writing here but GUYSSSS CHECK OUT MY AWESOME DIY ENDER DRAGON HALLOWEEN COSTUME!!!💥 😱😱😱

I haven't shared this before, but along with writing Whump stories my other secret talent is that I make cool crafts and projects like this one. I made the realistic Ender Dragon from a game called Minecraft! My little sister is Alexa from the same game so that our costumes work together as a pair.

But isn't it cool??? I've worn this costume for over 4 Halloweens now, and I LOVE all the reactions I get from kids! It makes me feel like a celebrity because everyone wants to take pictures with me and gets super excited when they see me.

This is a quadrapedal costume which means I'm walking on all fours with stilts to lengthen my arms. I wear a special handmade steel ribcage around my torso that the wings slide into and lock in place so they don't fall out. I made the head and tail out of cardboard boxes and colored paper.

What's funny is that with the way the head is built, I actually can't see anything because I'm facing the ground the whole time (there's no eye-holes in front). So I have my little sister walk right in front of me to "lead" me along because I can only see the back of her feet when I'm walking in costume.

I LOVE my costume so much because I'm actually neurodivergent and SUPER shy, but I don't have to feel self-conscious or socially awkward when I'm in the costume because no one can see my face! I can just be myself and not worry about judgement on my appearances since no one can actually see me inside the Ender Dragon (I'm nervous about my looks). It's a perfect fit for me!

EVERY PART of this costume is 100% handmade by me with the help of my dad, and it takes several people to help me put it on. But the results are AMAZING, aren't they??!? I'm so excited to bring it out this year!

It takes a LOT of physical strength and energy to move in this costume because both the ribcage and wing structure are made of steel, but it's worth it for all the fun reactions I get from both kids and adults alike. My back is always soooooo sore by the end LOL 😂😂

I'll post a video and more pictures later showing how the costume fits together for any of those who are curious. I put so much hard work into this.

Mohd (aka Gym_Rat_In_Gaza) and his family are rebuilding their home brick by brick. Their house near Khan Yunis was damaged by bombing and then occupied by IDF who further destroyed the building and the family's belongings. As he explains in earlier videos on his page, Mohd's family decided to try and rebuild the ground floor portion of the house. They dug through the rubble at what was once his Grandmother's house and were able to salvage some mostly intact cement blocks. In this video, shared September 24, he provides an update.
