I feel like Bob would be an amazing Stepdad to John’s first son.

They probably got on a rocky start of course but then got super close together.

Bob doesn’t care that he’s not blood related to him, that’s still his son too. Him and Owen are both Bob’s babies.

I have so many thoughts about this and you are so right anon. I consider Dylan to be Bob’s kid just as much as he is John and Olivia’s. They bond over video games and football (Bob is a secret fan) and I like to think that at first Dylan sees Bob as the cool uncle who works with his dad (Bob is amazed that anyone in his life calls him ‘cool’) but after John and Bob get together Dylan starts seeing him more as a stepdad. Dylan calls him ‘Bobby’ because that’s what John calls him, and they’re the only two people Bob would let call him that. Dylan is like a trial run kid for Bob and I think he’d be the reason Bob realizes he might actually make a good dad one day. And when Owen is born Dylan is the second person to meet him after Yelena. As far as Bob’s concerned those are both his boys.

Okay okay…this is how Charlie, Dylan, Mateo, Leo and Everette would react to the DPR Ian belt dance trend!

Charlie - wide eyed, staring at you with a jaw to the GROUND. Would definitely have to adjust how he was sitting, and blushes as he runs a hand through his hair. “Damn Sweetheart…that was fucking sexy.” He breathes, clearing his throat. “Could ya…do it again? Please?”

Dylan - bro would be SMIRKING, arms crossed as he leans back to check you out. “Fuckin’ ay Bunny..” he growls, running his thumb across his lower lip. “I like seenin’ a belt ‘round your wrists…c’mere.”

Mateo - *computer dial up noise* he’s speechless, his eyes moving to follow every movement you make. “ay dios mío…” he mumbles, turning his face away from you as his face turns bright red. “Please, mi amor. Don’t tease me with your body like that.”

Leo - Leo would be cheering you on, clapping his hands as he grins like a fool. “Hell yeah, baby!” He whistles lowly, beckoning you over “damn, you are somethin’ else! Do it again…without clothes this time.”

Everette - Everette definitely would be too focused on the fact that HE WANTS TO LEARN HOW DO IT TOO. “Okay okay, my turn!” He’ll jump up and eventually just ends up choking himself with the belt. “Fuck, how’d you make it look so effortlessly sexy???”

Year Of The Knife - No Love Lost

Metallic hardcore band Year Of The Knife has had quite a bad year. They got into a van accident earlier this year that left vocalist / guitarist Madi Watkins had to have surgery, and stay in the hospital for awhile, but they finally came out of the other side with their newest LP, and I believe the first with Madi on lead vocals, entitled No Love Lost. I’ve been a fan of these guys for the last few years, but they’ve never been one of my favorite metallic hardcore bands. Their sound is a bit generic, despite being heavy and punishing, but they’ve been getting better over the years. No Love Lost is a good example of that, and I’d say this is their best album yet. Not exactly my favorite of the year, although not every album I hear needs to be just that, but it’s still pretty damn good.

This record is pretty simple, as it’s a 20-minute metallic hardcore record, but it does have some twists and turns. A few guests show up, especially Devin Swank from Sanguisugabog (I don’t know if I spelled that right, but I don’t feel like looking), as well as Dylan Walker from Full Of Hell, and those bands add some death metal / grindcore cred to their sound. Like Dying Wish, and their new album, which is the last album I reviewed, this band has a sound that kind of takes their brand of hardcore / metalcore into death metal territory, and it sounds awesome.

Despite being generic, the breakdowns, riffs, and vocals are utterly killer. I haven’t gone back to this album too much, because of how generic it gets in spots, but they do have some cleaner and more melodic moments here, too, and it shows that the band can experiment. The fact that they are one of the few hardcore bands that dabble in metal is cool, and I like how they toe the line just enough. If you want a short hardcore record with some brutal riffs, heavy breakdowns, and some great vocals, check this thing out. If anything, too, this record should be cathartic for this band. It’s finally here after all that they’ve gone through this year, and that’s awesome to see.

Charlie would be so happy to do a TikTok with you, grinning like a fool the whole time but the moment you utter the words ‘Big Brother’ after kissing him, his happy expression would drop so fast. “Sweetheart don’t…say that!” He would say, waving his hands nervously about. “What if somebody actually believes you?!”

Poor guy would be STRESSED and probably wouldn’t laugh about it until later when he remembers.

Dylan -

Dylan wouldn’t argue about making a TikTok with you, standing behind you with his arms crossed as he watches you the whole time. His eyebrows would shoot up after you say ‘Big Brother’, a soft rumble of laughter leaving his throat. “Jesus fuckin’ Christ, Bunny.” He shakes his head disapprovingly, but smirks. “Folks on here are fuckin’ weirdos.”

Dylan would find it amusing, maybe would make that joke in public just to embarrass you.
