Definitely don’t imagine a universe where Phoenix didn’t survive IEYTD2. Don’t imagine A universe where TH was forced to move on because he’s such a great handler and he’s needed elsewhere. Don’t imagine A universe where he’s forced to grieve quickly so he’s useful to more people.

Don’t imagine a universe where instead of prism, he joins Zoraxis because he doesn’t really have any purpose in the Agency anymore. Don’t imagine how much he’s made fun of and shoved around in Zoraxis because to them, he’s just a weak old man.

Don’t imagine how once he is persuaded or forced to return to the Agency, because you know he would, he’s shunned once again. Don’t imagine how utterly defeated he would once again feel.

Don’t imagine how pheonix in this scenario would have had to go against his former favourite person. Don’t imagine how their relationship became on such thin ice TH was almost considering asking them if they wanted to switch handlers. Phoenix would’ve said no, but i digress.

Do imagine how after a few months, their relationship warms a little. Do imagine how everything goes back to normal.

Don’t imagine that the happy ending was a dream, and Phoenix wasn’t there. it was a different agent. don’t imagine that.

i definitely enjoyed sunrise much much more than tbosas. i cried, i chuckled, i pointed at the tv meme when the good old suspects showed up, i cried some more

the epilogue was devastating. i will never recover

unlike tbosas, I'm excited about the changes this new perspective sunrise gives us on haymitch (going much deeper into the why and what and how of what we already knew) and how it will affect future rereadings of the ogs

which brings me into my one note (which also applies to tbosas), and it's that as i was reading i mostly wished to be reading the og trilogy

Reading a lot of WW1 nurse diaries and memoirs for a new sapphic supernatural story set in a field hospital and loving how the weather features so heavily in all of them because it is fucking wet in Northern France same as here and my god will they tell you about it

I love that gas-gangrene is dealt with very matter-of-factly and then you get lots of lyrical descriptions of a sunset, or the weather, or flower picking in the woods. People have to cope.

Also I can't read these entries especially the shell strikes and terrible injuries without thinking of Gaza rn.
