Thoughts (part 1)

All right. So I know everyone is screaming about the recent election. I would like to say a few things:

Your existence is a protest. Even if you cannot save lives (plural), you have the power to save life (singular). Even if all you can do is exist and you cannot do anything to "help", your mere existence in government records may be what forces a statistician to write a number as 1% rather than 0%. Prioritize keeping yourself alive and sane. We can work on everything else later.

Feeling guilty is not a form of activism. You will not do more good by keeping your head full of terrible things. You have permission to put everything out of mind and play a video game or eat something nice or read fluffy fanfic. Have something to live for.

We have time. There are two months before anyone is bring inaugurated. Messages like this will still be here for you to read when you can bear to think about it.

There were 3 million fewer votes for Trump in 2024 than there were in 2020. (Edit: This is what I initially saw, but vote counts have not yet stabilized.) He has not gathered a greater groundswell of support or picked up a unique amount of new supporters.

Build things rather than tearing them down. It can feel good in the moment to be vindictive and angry, but hate is what got us here in the first place. Support people. Build things. Dream about better social structures. Learn how to treat wounds. Claiming that there is a better way is more likely to be convincing when you can actually personally show others that it is better.

I will have more helpful and specific resources later. But this comes first.

mw3 was completely rushed (i mean the cast ate as usual they never miss) but releasing it a year after mw2 was a terrible decision they should have given it more time

You know, I feel this exact way about so many franchises lately it's honestly unreal. I'd rather wait a while for something knowing that it's going to be great than to instantly have something mediocre in my hands as quickly as they can cobble it together.

I will say, though. Price's ass is still something I'd love to sink my teeth into. That was a genuine highlight. And that's really it.

I've been wanting to release my music for a while now, and even though I don't quite have the confidence for that, here are a couple of lyrics and the accompanying artwork. If I'm gonna release music, I'll need an album cover.

The lyrics are from the 3rd song in my maybe album called "temptress." The album it's self is a collection of songs revolving around my part relationship, which in simple words was problematic. Temptress tackles my fear of ruining him by being younger. It talks about his violent reaction to that fear. I really thought I deserved the pain he caused me and relished in the justice I thought he was handing out.

Have you ever seen a post so egregious it makes you question your faith in humanity? Tell me why I just saw someone go on an absolute RANT about how AI is ruining gooning, of all things. I understand the concept behind it, that being the loss of human elements in fanfics and art, but there has to be a better way for bro to word that. I hate AI ruining art as much as the next guy, but the discussion should not be presented with gooning as the main focus.
