Like two years ago me and @accirax had a riveting conversation where we came up with a pitch for a sitcom about what would happen if Selene decided she was no longer interested in that shepherd she gave eternal life to by making him sleep forever. I was in a Greek mythology mood so I’m finally doing something with that concept.
Also before any classicists get on me: I know in some versions of the myth Endymion is totally down with sleeping forever, and is aware that Selene loves him, however I’m choosing to ignore that for comedy (though I might play with it later)

Studying for my roman archaeology exam and coming across to a sarcophagus which was originally meant to depict Ariadne being left in Naxos, but then carved to turn Ariadne into Endymion.

I am safe in the arms of sleep
Never have I slept so soundly, as I did with my head rested on your shoulder listening to your soft breath and beating heart. My dreams of eternal youth and beauty accompanied by you in your domain, where we can spend every second together safe from the woes and toils of the waking world. Under the dim light of the moon as the rest of the world feels your hypnotic pull, I am the one blessed to enjoy the comfort of slumber in your arms. Protected by your power, your Oneroi, your grip around my body holding me close, no mortal or god can hurt me anymore.
There is no safer place than in the arms of sleep himself.

Sappho, Fragment 199 (from Scholiast on Apollonius of Rhodes) (trans. Propaganda for Pulunpa:
"Squishy"
Propaganda for Endymion, the Mighty Master of Magic:
"-Actually not that hard to understand, you guys just don't want to read. -Not even the best Endymion card but he still slays. -Can Pikachu remove 6 spell counters from the field, summon themself from the Pendulum Zone, and destroy cards equal to the amount of cards on your side of the field that are capable of holding spell counters? Didn't think so. -Did you know Yu-Gi-Oh has lore? Did you know this guy has lore?"
