I realized from lot of tags and comments lot of you are unaware that the underlying issue is BIGGER than just tumblr. I even skipped the part about dress code bc its the same on every app now, nothing special unfortunately, the middle FINGER was news. you just never read the ToS and the reason is US LAWS, Credit card company monopoly, advertisers wanting everything to be "family friendly" etc and things are only going to get worse if you don't start opposing and repeling the torjan horse laws. Just a gentle reminder

The Heritage Foundation have outright admitted they intend for """The Kids Online Safety Act""" to be weaponized against LGBTQ+/abortion information and any form of sexual expression on the internet, that is IF the drump wins the election in November.

KOSA very recently passed the "mark up" stage in the House Committee on Energy & Commerce, and now, according to the EFF, the bill is being considered in the US House this week. So now is the perfect time to call/pester your house representatives to shoot this unconstitutional bill down for good.

If you're unsure of how to contact and make your piece known to your House representatives, here's a handy resources guide, complete with call scripts written specifically for democrats and republicans!

Make no mistake, this bill will not just affect millions of people in the states, this will also affect the wider web across the world. So for international folk, you can also sign the petition here!

I believe taking these actions may end up working, because even House representatives are beginning to doubt this bill is in anyway a good thing actually. All we have to do now is pile on the pressure!

There is no sugar coating this bill, and more and more people are starting to see it for what it is; KOSA is a trojan horse for internet censorship. Call your representatives and demand they kill it once and for all.

You know things are really messed up when one of the most outspoken LGBTQ+ ally bands (Carson Coma) has to explain that they appreciate the Pride flag a fan threw onto the stage, but they can't openly show it because they’re afraid of getting fined, or the venue getting penalized.

(They ended up putting the flag on the microphone stand for the last number, which was a pro-LGBTQ+ song called Pók.)

This happened in Hungary. The current government (FIDESZ lead by Orbán) has banned Pride events, claiming that they “corrupt” children (hence the so-called “child protection law”). Now, they’re also trying to shut down independent media.

If you attend Pride, you can be fined up to €497 — which might not sound like much, but considering the average Hungarian salary, it's a significant amount.

Don't judge or hate Hungarians. Most of us don't agree with the current government! We're really hopeful that next year one of the other parties will win, and after 15 years, we'll finally get a new government.

And just to lighten the mood, I'll add a song by the band I mentioned. They have songs criticizing the government, but this is the only one I found in English. And also I added the pro-LGBTQ+ song as well (which is in Hungarian, but I also added the English translation)

Firstly.

Don’t make it so fkn cool! I mean. That sh*t is fkn metal AF!! If you’re trying to scare kids away from the pride festivities, you’re not doing a good job because that is psychedelic as sh*t, and looks bad ass!!

Secondly. 

Imagine following a religion. A religion that says to love thy neighbor as you do thyself. A religion who speaks of being kind to the stranger (immigrant) because you too were once a stranger in this land. A religion that says it’s easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to get into heaven. A religion whose messiah washed the feet of beggars, bedded with lepers, took care of the sick and homeless, exuded humility, said, judge not lest ye be judged thyself, and what you took from that is gay people are satanic….

Jesus was a liberal. He cared and loved all gods children. Whether Jewish, Muslim, black, white, prostitute, beggar, gay or straight. Yet far too many so called Christians say so much about what god said so little about, and so little about what had said so much about.

There is passage after passage about talking care of the stranger, the traveler, the immigrant, yet the heretic Christians shun them.

There is passage after passage about how only god can judge for it is only god who is without sin. Yet the blasphemy from church congregations judges bodily autonomy of strangers they no nothing about.

There is passage after passage about taking care of each other, loving thy neighbor, sacrificing for the good of others without a personal connection to them or gain from them. Yet our veterans go homeless and hungry, mental health crises go untreated, the sick get denied healthcare.

The hypocrisy is so unchristlike, the teachings obviously ignored.

This pride let’s be louder, brighter, kinder, happier, friendlier, and yes, gayer than ever!!

Love overcomes hate! Kindness is greater than cruelty! And being true to oneself, is better than living a hypocritical existence.

Our freedom of speech is in SERIOUS danger.

We’re in serious trouble. We’re trying to use our voices, we’re actively protesting against the government. There’s an election next year, but sadly, we wouldn’t be surprised if Orbán changes the law to ban any parties he believes could defeat him. He’s already trying to smear the party that currently has the best chance of winning.
